Tried Pacific Thai for the first time this week. OMG, just amazing. Wonderful service and super flavorful, generous portions of food. We started with pork and shrimp fried spring rolls, odd, but delightful. Then we had Pad Thai with Duck and Crispy Duck with Red Curry sauce. This is best Thai food I have had. A friend and I have been trying all the local Thai places and all have been good, but this was AMAZING. The Thai Ice Tea is a must. The portions were huge, we each have food for another day. The prices were a bit steep, but we did choose duck, which is more expensive than other options, but so worth it. I will be back - OFTEN!

This place really blew me away! I waited till after my second visit to write a review to make sure it wasn't just a fluke that the food was awesome. Both times I visited the restaurant was packed , I could not even find a parking space because it is shared with other businesses and a hotel. The restaurant is sent in the heart of the micro city of Oldsmar on Tampa Road. In the area are 4 hotels and a host of other restaurants and bars that I have ben to before as well but Pacific Thai definitely holds its own. The stature of the small restaurant doesn't reflect the immense flavors and aromas coming from the place. You will notice the beautifully placed artwork and decor of the place as soon as you enter. I happened to do take out both times but while I waited I observed the décor and customer service displayed to the patrons seated and everyone seem quite pleased. On both occasions I ordered the curry puffs, Pineapple Fried Rice with Beef, Spicy Fried Rice with Chicken and Pad Se-Ew with chicken. All of which were phenomenal. I would have to say that hands down this is the BEST THAI I have had in Tampa Bay! I say if you live in the area do take out like I did if you are going on a busy day but if its and off day and you have time dine in and taste the dessert for me. Just an FYI portions are huge so you will always need a take out tray! Check it out!

I ordered a chicken pad Thai from here during lunch. Their lunch prices are good, and you get a generous amount of food for the price. The thing I did not really like was the chicken in my pad Thai. I feel as if the chicken was dried out but it wasn't that bad. The noodles were a little on the dried side as well. I would return but I would definitely try and order something else next time.

I just love this place. It's hard to find a good Thai restaurant but this is the best one outside of Tampa! Pad Thai is great but the Amazing chicken is one of the best I ever had. Sweet and they can make it spicy if you ask for it. I go every chance I get.

This is a real find. I'm a vegan so I had the deep fried tofu (my favorite!) and veggie soup. Hubby had the sweet and sour chicken. The ambience is nice, the staff friendly and the food was excellent. I recommend this place for anyone who loves Thai food... Or not. Very inexpensive too.

2nd time here, service was very slow I think they forgot to put our order in. Too be fair it was packed solid. If I hadn't eaten here before, would have left on the 45minute mark, but I was craving Duck Panang, so we waited it out. The staff were very apologetic and comped our drinks. When the food finally arrived it truly was worth the wait. Duck was cooked to perfection and the panang was a true delight. So rich and flavourful every mouthful an explosion of tastes, floral, herbal and the perfect amount of heat. The restaurant is tucked away on Hillsboro in a strip mall, it is very easy to miss.but The decor is very tasteful with Thai ornamentations but not overly done in kitsch way. Steamed dumplings were very good as was the excellent Thai Tea. Food is very very good and I'm sure the slow service was not the norm. We'll definitely be back to explore their delicacies

I don't know how I haven't written a review for Pacific Thai yet because it's our go-to Thai spot. Everything we have had has been excellent. We have had a few different types of curries, drunken noodles, pineapple fried rice, and pad Thai. Only thing I wish was different is that they used bigger to go containers...the noodles are packed so tightly in the containers that they stick together. But it is all oh so tasty!

    (4)
  • Shilley T.

The food was excellent and the service was very good. We ordered the chicken pad thai and it was very well seasoned. We also had the thai sweet tea which i would recommend to anyone who loves tea. This place is a gem and will go back when i am in the Tampa Bay area!

Love that this place is close to home because after all the dishes we order it's hard to drive home from a food coma. We always order the crispy duck because it never disappoints. There are different variations but they are all good. The soups all hit the spot especially on a cold day. My favorite is the tom kha gai. I always ask for the spice tray because I like it spicy! Food comes out pretty fast so pace yourself or make sure you've room on the table. Service is usually good and pleasant.

When I go for thai food I really stick with the same thing. It's always red curry. (I have tried other things this is just my fave) I know I need to broaden my horizons when it comes to thai food but that's ok. I like red curry so I'll stick with it. The red curry here is good and they even add zucchini for me since I like more veggies besides the peppers.

Good Service, VERY polite, nice and cleanly decorated. Good food, extremely big plates. The desser with banana and coconut MMMMM, I'll be back, Awesome PadSeew. Loved the spring rolls presentation.

Definitely one of the best Thai restaurants in Tampa. I ordered the Drunken Noodles which was flavorful and a large serving. if you usually order Pad Thai, try the DN instead. Pretty similar but just as tasty. Service was also very good here, as is typical at most Thai restaurants. Clean place. Decor nothing special but nothing to knock.

Awesome, awesome, awesome! This place is a hidden gem in Oldsmar. It's easy to drive right by if you're not looking for it, but the food is absolutely delicious. They do dine-in and take out absolutely and my wife and I do both at least 2-3 times a month. The pad thai is delicious and the drunken noodles are quickly becoming my favorite dish on the menu! Definitely worth a visit!

The service was polite and efficient. The food came out at the perfect time. The crab Rangoon is fabulous. My Pad See-Ew was absolutely wonderful. The taste was bold and savory. The Thai tea was quite tasty. This a hidden treasure. I'm so glad we found this place.

I haven't even tried my food, so I can't comment to that. What I can review is the service - we made a reservation, waiting about 15 min for a table, then about 30 min for our soup, which we were all served at different times (there was three of us). We were given ice cream about an hour and 15 min later... I guess to make up for the fact we hadn't been served our dinner yet. We are driving home with our dinner about 2 hours later - and we were charged full price $60 and told to have a Happy Valentines Day tomorrow. (Ps. I hate to say it, but the soup and coconut ice cream was really good)

Nice folks who welcomed me in during lunch today. I'm a huge fan of The Nosh next door, but saw an attractive sign outside touting a 6.95 lunch special with soup or salad, and a Thai Donut. Had to try it, and did. Now, it clearly states on the menu that if you order a noodle dish, you get no rice with is fine, so I went with old reliable and got the Chicken Pad Thai. The serving was large. In my to-go bag was plastic spork set with napkin, and a small box for the salad. I wasn't asked if I preferred soup or salad, but sure the salad was easier to take away. No trace of anything resemling a Thai Donut was found. The price and flavor of the Pad Thai were good. The serving size was great. Still thoe, the promise of an undelivered donut has me feeling a bit let down. Not that I needed it, I suppose.

This is now probably my 4th time coming here and each experience has been great! They have a really affordable lunch menu that includes curries, pad thai, fried rice, and a few other choices. Today I ordered the Red Curry with chicken lunch special. It came with jasmine rice and a ginger salad. The portions were perfect (I love when I can can some home lol). The ingredients tasted fresh and the curry was full of flavor. If you like it spicy order it hot. I ordered mine medium this time but it could of been a little spicier. If you are in the area and in the mood for Thai stop by Pacific Thai Cuisine for lunch or dinner!

LOVE the Pad Thai! Husband and I usually get takeout, but the restaurant is very nice and clean. We always get crab Rangoon too.

Rarely does a 4.5 star Yelp reviewed restaurant disappoint me, but so far its happened twice... And both time happened to be Thai restaurants in the Tampa Bay area. We ordered two appetizers (thai spring rolls & fried tofu) and a main dish to share. The two appetizers came out so full of deep fried flour they were hard to bite into and had little to no taste whatsoever. At this point, I was thinking my Pad See Ew cannot disappoint me and low and behold, it was one of the worse tasting Pad See Ew dishes I've ever tried. The noodle were obviously dried noodle given its uniform shape and size and every noodle kept its shape, which usually means it wasn't prepared well enough in my mind, as the pan frying process should cause some of the noodles to soften and tear a bit. The noodles lacked any unique taste and texture. I hate to say I would never go back to a place after just one try, but this would be the place... sorry... On the bright side, the service was courteous and attentive but the food underwhelmed significantly.

Pacific Thai in Oldsmar, Florida We were pleasantly surprised when we stopped in at Pacific Thai in Oldsmar, for lunch recently. This was my first time there so I wasn't sure about what to order. We had their Thai chicken soup and salad that comes with every entrée. Then we had the drunken noodles with shrimp and duck panang. The shrimp was succulent and I really liked the noodles. Usually the noodles are transluscent but these were thick and tasty. The duck panang was just awesome. The duck was crispt, tender and delicious. For dessert the owner, Nareth Seng suggested their homemade donuts. The donuts are batter-fried dough with sugar on top and it was yummy! We were surprised with their home-made coconut ice cream...so creamy and tasty!

I've been here a few times now and it seems to be extremely hit or miss (ok, always miss). I go for shrimp pad-Thai and I continue to have a drop to my knees moment of screaming "Whhhhhhyyyyyy?" every time. I can't even begin to understand how they manage to cook their shrimp to result in a chicken like texture. It's chewy and weird and I just don't understand it. This most recent visit provided me with the same bizarre seafood situation along with pad Thai sauce that was hit hard with a heavy hand of fish sauce. Each bite was like a hot and heavy make out session with the Gordon's fisherman. My husband ordered the spicy chicken fried rice and still dumped a gallon of hot sauce on it and then "just ate all the chicken". When I woke up this morning he was wearing a yellow rain hat and jacket... Very suspect. I think it's past time that I stop hoping to have the experience everyone else has had here. Maybe it's the fact that I only order take out?

I love thai food and generally I get disappointed in local restaurants. But when I found this gem I was so excited. I like it hot, very hot. So I mostly ask for thai hot which gets it to a good spice for me. I'm a huge fan of the pad thai and all the curries. Lunch time service is quick and efficient. Price is right.

Best Thai and service in the ciy! Nice family owned Thai restaurant :) Try the pineapple curry it's my favorite! If you don't like Pineapple, another dish called "Amazing" actually lives up to it's name.

First let me start off by saying, I'm sorry I didn't write this review a year ago....but this place is awesome! I've been spoiled and didn't realize how much until I ate at an old thai restaurant I used to go to. No comparison. Pacific Thai is the best. Nothing but high quality and the best ingredients. Great price for the quality. Eat here weekly. The service is great and owner is very gracious. Love this place.

Panang Curry is the bomb!!! Best I've ever had, and oh my god is this place fast!!! Like the previous reviewer said, make sure your ready when you order, because the food will be on your table almost immediately!!! Crazy good! Stop reading and go!!!

  • Holly H.

Best pad Thai I've ever had! Coconut curry soup is sooo yummy. Relaxing and pretty environment. Oh btw, if you order your dish medium it will still be very spicy and I love spicy but if you don't, better go mild.

Love this place!!! Authentic, clean, wonderful service, and great food! The food is always fresh and delicious with clean flavors. So tasty! The Tornado Shrimp and Eggplant is phenomenonal! The accompanying salad is simple, fresh, and delicious. The Summer Rolls are a great starter...again, fresh, clean flavors. Yum! Highly recommend this lovely restaurant.

Went with 3 co-workers for lunch Seated right away in this very cozy establishment Egg roll was crisp and tasty. Enjoyed the small house salad and soup. I ordered the Chicken and Vegetable fried rice and it was delicious with so much food I was full. My only complaint is that the 3 co-workers had their food well before mine was brought to me. 10 minutes to be exact.

Great neighborhood Thai cuisine. Friendly staff and quick service but a bit in the expensive side.We usually do carry out and the order is ready in 15 minutes. Since most of my family is vegetarian, it helps that they are willing to tweak the ingredients a bit to accommodate us. Excellent tofu Pad Thai.

We've been coming here for years. It's our go-to Thai restaurant. It's fresh and delicious. We vary it up from time to time but usually I get Chicken basil and my husband gets the same with the spice tray! They also customize our veggies to whatever we would like in our dish! The kids get chicken satay & always finish it! Go ... You'll love it!

  • Rhachel H.

THEY DO NOT DELIVER! I don't know who posted that they do, but they don't. Which is a real shame...I've been looking for a thai restaurant that does.

This place is consistently great. Such. Great flavor and choices. I like it spicy so I get it Thai hot and always ask for the hot tray. The prices are very reasonable. They give you a little salad and cup of soup before your lunch is ready. Food comes out really fast and hot. They also have little Thai donuts for a bonus dessert.

This place is a hidden gem. Really that good. Basic, airy, nicely decorated, understated place with an amazing kitchen and good service. Had yellow curry with chicken, on the lunch special....more than enough food for me at lunch, ate it all anyway. Thought about licking the plate! (didn't) Thai Tea was really good, too. Overall quality was excellent, TV tuned to Fox News....perfect!

Good Thai food can be hit or miss. Here, it's a hit! Went there for a birthday dinner. It was delicious! Had the Tornado Shrimp Eggplant. Beautifully served with an orchid on the plate. Restaurant is clean, staff is friendly, presentation is everything, and reasonably priced! I highly recommend.

Being thai, I love all thai foods and have had it all. I didn`t like the pad thai too much, thought it was to american like and not the traditional thai way but it was still good. The owner greeted me and was really nice. It`s very quiet but I did go after the lunch crowd. They give you a soup and salad along with your meal for lunch, which is interesting bc normally I had to chose one or the other. Then after your meal is completed they give you a small dessert. I like the 3 course meal for a cheap price, nice touch. Don`t know how dinner is but can`t wait to try it. I would recommend trying the lunch then moving on to dinner eventually.

I needed some lunch yesterday and decided that Thai would be a good idea. One of the ladies in the office said that she had visited this establishment before and that they had good food. This was enough reason for me to give them a shot. I ordered my usual from a Thai restaurant because I am boring. Pad Thai. I did get it to go so do not expect a review about the service. I ordered over the phone and the girl that took the order was very nice. The company's website says that you do not get the thai donut with a to go order but I requested one anyway. She told me they do not normally provide it but she would ask for me. I got lucky and she came through because I got a Thai Donut! This donut is nothing but a bit f fried dough with some sugar on it but it was good. The Pad Thai was good and had the correct amount of spice for a medium order in my opinion. My only complaint is the serving size was a bit small. However I can say the price counters that a bit because for 2 orders of Pad Thai 2 very small salads and the little donut I only paid $14. I will more than likely order from them again because at the end of the day this lunch cost about the same as a fast food meal and was much better. Also if you plan on dining in the location is on the small side and the tables are small without much privacy. So in my opinion not a great place for a lunch meeting but great for a friendly quick bite. Also It is very clean looking inside.

Good meals are rare in this town and this place has earned it's spot. I've driven by a ton of times and finally stopped in last week to check it out. The atmosphere is very relaxing, and the calm and friendly demeanor of the server just adds to that. Typical of my style, I ordered a ton of food. The Appetizer Sampler platter was great. Crab Rangoons, but with curry instead of just cream cheese were a hit. Those alone will have me back in the door. The House Salad has a dressing that at first you would expect is a typical Ginger Dressing, but it's not. Something else is in it that makes it sweet and vibrant. I suspect it's Daikon or Jicama, but I'm not really sure. It was refreshing either way. Next I had the Tom Yum Soup, spicy. Very balanced, very refreshing, and I actually enjoyed the thinly sliced raw red onions. While bitter, they certainly add a nice contrast to the rest of the sour of the Kafir and the Umami of the Mushrooms. For Dinner I had the Pad Thai. This was a huge serving of noodles tossed in Pad Thai Sauce and I'd certainly order again. The only thing I would change is when I ask for Spicy, please make it spicy. I know, I know, White people always say that and then it's too spicy, but not ALLLLLL of us do that. I actually want it to make me sweat. Pacific Thai offers a good happy hour deal too, from 5-7pm it's buy one get one free domestic beers and house wines. I'll be back for sure.

Love love love this place it's perfect. When I go to a new Thai restaurant I always order pad thai, my reason is if they eff that up then the rest isn't worth my time. I'm a small girl & never finish a whole plate of pad thai in a sitting but this time I did. Everything was fresh including the veggies. Nothing worse then when a Thai place used frozen bagged veggies. This is now my go to place even though Thai Town (Dunedin) is 4 minutes from my house.

My wife & I were there 2 nights ago. We read some of the reviews & decided to give it a try. We were very pleasantly surprised. We ordered the Curry Puffs as an app., Tom Yum Goong & the Yum Seafood (salad). I like my Thai food spicy & they didn't disappoint. The salad was very good & so was the soup. The curry puffs were different than the ones I'm used to but they had a good flavor as well. We will be returning when we are back in the area...

I enjoyed my shrimp in curry sauce (coconut milk)... Egg Roll (veggies, no meat) OMG... YUM! The facility is very clean (including the restroom). The waitstaff are pleasant and helpful (was nice enough to give me directions on a few places). I will return whenever I am on that side of town. I love the freshness of the food.

I've eaten at many Thai restaurants, and I would say this is the best one in the Tampa Bay area. There isn't one dish I've had here that I didn't like. I've had their curry puff, panang curry, red curry, yellow curry, massaman curry, prig khing, fried rice, Pad Thai, Thai iced tea and Thai donuts. All of them are great. Their curry dishes are somewhat similar but that's not a bad thing. Their service is wonderful as well. I'm glad to have found this place.

The ambiance is nice, quiet, and inviting. I love the decor! There were two "servers" working, one who took our order, and the other who got us refills and dropped our food off. Both were polite and had a light touch; we never felt unwelcome or overwhelmed. We ordered the crab Rangoon for a starter (as many suggested!), and were not disappointed. Fresh cooked, the curry itself was sweet and complimented the real crab very well. I couldn't help myself and also orders a glass of thai sweet tea which was phenomenal. For entrees I had the standard pad thai which was appropriately hot and very tasty. The portion size was great too! I had plenty to eat while there and a decent serving to bring home with me for lunch the next day. I was also surprised to find they do take out which I haven't indulged in yet, but I will definitely be doing sometime soon.

The endless quest for the 'best' thai restaurant in Tampa. I can't give it 5 stars to say it's the best, but it's definitely better than most. Portions are big and ingredients are top quality. We didn't have anything too adventurous, since it was our first time and I always like to test the waters before diving in. The curry dishes are impressive, with lots of good-sized chunks of potatoes, carrots and onions mixed in with the meat of your choice. All of the veggies were really soft too, so you could tell it had been simmering for a while, rather someone pouring curry sauce over steamed veggies. So that's a definite plus. We had shrimp in yellow curry sauce and ordered it mild. Even at "mild" it was a little spicy for me (I'm a big baby) so be careful if you order something really spicy. You may get what you asked for! We also had the garlic and black pepper chicken, which is my go-to Thai staple. It hit the mark, light and flavorful and not too salty. The crab rangoon is awesome and I could eat that for my meal. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, but it's clean and they do have drink specials.

My husband and I tried this Thai restaurant based on the good reviews. We are new to Thai food, and wanted a place that wouldn't make us regret trying something new. This restaurant is very quaint, with tasteful decor, and extremely clean. The atmosphere is very relaxing, somewhat Zen-like. The service was superb for us. I had Massamun curry w/ chicken and my husband had red curry w/ pork. We also tried the Thai iced tea, and for appetizer we had the crab Rangoon. Everything was very good, with tons of flavor. This place is definitely going to be our "go-to" for Thai food.

First time for us this evening. Absolutely fabulous food. I had the green curry with chicken and my husband had duck lychee pineapple curry. Both were as good as any Thai meal we have ever had and we've had quite a few. I would certainly recommend this restaurant. I think we will now be regulars!!

This place is the cream of the crop. First of all, the place is super nice & clean inside, very pleasantly surprised. The people who work here are polite and have great customer service. Every time I call in my order it is ready on time & perfect, they even tie the knot on the bag so that you can easily untie it (talk about attention to detail)That being said, the food is amazing, try the pineapple fried rice or the egg rolls both are amaze-balls. The pad thai is also great, you can choose your spicy level. I really can't believe this place isn't more popular...I guess not a good location but LOVE THE FOOD. *HIDDEN GEM FOR SURE*

You will not be disappointed by this restaurant! The couple that owns it are super sweet and everything I've ever ordered from here is made with fresh produce and ingredients. Some Good Notes About Pacific Thai: I've only eaten inside once (I usually get take out) and it has a quaint and tranquil ambiance that I truly enjoyed. Their Sa-Teh Chicken appetizer has very well marinated chicken that is juicy and moist and comes with a homemade peanut dipping sauce. Does not disappoint! I ordered the drunken noodles for dinner and the fresh veggies they used were not over cooked. There is nothing I hate more then mushy veggies so on a high note, their veggies had a nice little crunch to them and the noodles were cook to perfection as well. For dessert I had the Pacific's banana. Again, done very nicely. My only wish was that the coconut ice cream have a little bit more of a coconut flavor to it. Some Not So Good Notes: This is not a reflection of the restaurant but the parking lot is a freakin joke. Forget trying to park in the front if it's a Friday or weekend and it's even difficult to find parking in the back lot. Bottom Line: Great bang for your buck here and everything is made to order, fresh and comes out quickly. You will never be disappointed.

I needed a take-out lunch and I found this place on yelp, so I decided to give it a shot. I ordered Red Curry with pork and it was ready in 10 min. The food was very very good, prob the best Thai curry I ever had since I moved from NY to Tampa. Though I enjoyed my meal very much, I had an issue with the way they wraped my take-out order. Even tho my meal was curry, they did not put in a soup container. Instead they just wrapped the curry soup in a tin foil and put in a regular to-go box. Needless to say, the soup was leaking, but the good thing is I didnt drive like a maniac. If I did, the soup would have been all over the bag! I looked at the take out menu later and then realized it says lunch menu comes with soup and salad but no soup for take out, for obvious reason....they do not wanna buy soup containers. So my lunch came with just a salad but the salad was such a small portion that I thought "Why did they even give me this salad? " If they give such a small portion, instead of putting the salad in a separate box, they could have just put it in the same container with rice and curry, because there was one empty section in the box and it would have looked better that way. So for takeouts, they need to do something and stop being cheap. But besides that , the food was very tasty and one day I would like to dine in.

This place was absolutely wonderful!! When I stepped in it was like I found a hidden door into India! The food was fantastic!! They had a scale of how hot you want it. Be careful, I had a level two and it was about as hot as I could go! The server was excellent! Overall fantastic place!!! Highly recommend!!

Pacific Thai exceeded my expectations both in my dine-in and delivery experiences. Being that it is nestled quietly on Tampa Road, along which I'd visited several Chinese/ Thai places - I figured I'd get something on the same par (familiar-looking laminated menus, slightly bland noodle plates, and well seasoned but questionable chicken dishes). Boy, was I wrong: the presentation was excellent, the food was served promptly & tasted fresh. I figured the quality would take a minor hit when I had lunch delivered a few weeks later, but it was just as good as when I dined in. The service is exemplary - the staff is friendly and accommodating. I'm a big fan of the yellow curry, tornado shrimp eggplant, and the old standby - pad thai. Their Thai coffee has me hooked, just don't drink it past five 'cause you'll never get to sleep (unless, of course - that's what you want). Overall, Pacific Thai is a great choice for a casual lunch or dinner.

Let's just begin by my saying that I asked the servers, "Why are you guys in Oldsmar, & not in Miami?" Everything, from the interior of the restaurant, which is cozy, soothing, and neat, to the excellent service combine to create a great dining experience in this otherwise sleepy little town right near Tampa, Florida. I went here for lunch and dinner and enjoyed two delicious curry dishes. The tofu is perfect, absolutely tasty and has a wonderful texture. The jasmine rice is suberb and the ginger salad and the chicken soup offered as a part of the lunch specials, are incredible. The spices are thorough, and add layer upon layer of character to each bite. The lunch specials are great, as you get a salad, a soup, the main dish, and a thai doughnut for dessert included in the price. The menu is set up quite strategically. At the top of the different sections (Fish, Noodles, Curry) you can select from a variety of meat, fish, or tofu additions and depending on that selection you are charged. For instance, you begin your order by selecting from one of the meat, fish, or tofu options and then you add the type of spice or the dish, such as curry or fried rice. For dessert, oh the dessert, please try their coconut ice-cream. It is homemade and they aren't kidding. The texture and the taste are quite heavenly. Order the ice-cream with lychee and you're in paradise. Parking is easy, as it's location in a shopping plaza and prices are unbeatable.

THEY DO NOT DELIVER! I don't know who posted that they do, but they don't. Which is a real shame...I've been looking for a thai restaurant that does.

The Chicken Pad Thai is the best ever! It was take out, this time. (I was not feeling like going out.) The portion was large so I had left over. The Pad Thai was even better the next day. I am ready to go now and experience the restaurant.
