High Blood Pressure at Applebee's

Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. The spouse stopped in for sum apps and it was so nice. It was quiet but it was a Wednesday evening. I There was a guy in his guitar and singing which didn't bother us but I could have done without. They are advertising new apps which we didn't try, we just wanted the regular bites. We love their boneless wings and their fries are good. The atmosphere is nice with several TVs propped around for your viewing pleasure. I give them 4 stars because their food is selfish and the restaurant is always clean.

Worst service. Bartender had a hard time making a dirty vodka Martina. We could not even make it pass the appetizer. Everything on the plate was cold and the spinach dip taste like shit! Your choice but I am not recommending it!

Horrible customer service. They need to have more than one waitress working when it is busy. Food was way too slow to come out. At the end of the meal the girl brought a to go box to the table but--for some reason--still took my food. I was in the restroom and my friends did not notice. Still, they should not have had to notice, as that is just pure stupidity! Food was also subpar. I will not be returning!

Applebee's where the customer doesn't count only "corporate" rules. I came in with my 80+ mom for lunch. The music was so loud that it was at the threshold of pain. When I asked the waiter about turning it down a bit so we could hear each other talk, he sort of ignored us. I then spoke to the hostess about the music. She said she'd tell the manager. Later, she, not the manager, came to say that the manager said that the music was as low as "corporate" would allow. Our waiter became a mix of sarcasm and veiled politeness. Our food was not timely in being served. My mother and her groups eat out several times a week for lunch as do I. That involves 40 + retirees with disposable income. Applebee's will not be one of our stops because customers do not count. Nice job corporate when you find music, at lunch, should be louder than human conversation.

There are days in life that are rough. There are days that are filled with disappointment - so - why make it worse by hitting up this , or any other Applebee's ? For ANYTHING? But a restroom pit stop .. Applebee's is where people who looooooovvveee to be disappointed go for drinks and food.. Really. To be specific - I decided to eat here due to the fact that I was on business - at a local hotel. And I was hungry. I was in a good mood when I hit the front door. I like to eat heathy. So I ordered the salmon. But what arrived was an orange piece of salmon jerky. Overcooked dry and down right inedible. Sure you can ask me why .. was I ordering that... in a place like this? Because I was hungry for healthy food. Not a greasy burger. I wouldn't be commenting, if every time I went to an Applebee's wasn't a giant disappointment. Really? Can you show me someone is that has had a good meal here who was sober in the past six months? These places should be ALL shut down. I give it two stars because the service was good. That is all.

Half off apps after 10pm + 2-4-1 drink specials Half off apps also for lunch if you eat at the bar They make mean mojitos Pretzels and beer cheese are awesome Fried green beans are awesome I hear they sometimes purposely put the onions on top of your bourbon steak even tho you ask them not too. Be warned.

Never been a big fan but just learned THE time to visit Applebee's is after 10 pm when they have 1/2 off appetizers and drinks. We ordered Pretzels with Beer Cheese Dip and Green Bean Crispers - both were awesome. Green beans were battered and fried yet still al dente and served with 2 dipping sauces (bacon ranch and creamy horseradish). The pretzels were warm served with delicious beer cheese dip and a good honey Dijon mustard. 2-for-1 Mojitos made them $4 a drink - great deal. They offer the 1/2 off app deal for lunch if you sit at the bar - neat. Side note: can't think of Applebee's without thinking of Talladega Nights - haaaaaaaaaaaa!

I've given this location a 3rd and final chance--they just fail at life. If anyone out there reading this wants Applebee's, drive a few miles further to the Palm Harbor or Sheldon Road locations. Better service, food and attitudes. The Manager here, Amy, should be fired or demoted to dishwasher at best. She told us we couldn't get the veggie patch pizza as a half price appetizer last night. We've been eating this thing for half price at every AB location in the area forever. It's not even on the menu, so how can it be etched in stone that it's no longer available as a half price app? We brought this concern up, even mentioned that we know the regional manager, and still nothing. Stone-cold, unconcerned and unwavering in her defense of the restaurant's policies. She probably wouldn't have even cared if we got up and walked out. Shame on this location. Send our waiter, James, over to the Palm Harbor location because he was fantastic and deserves a better place to work.

One word. Mitchell. I was in with family for a late night dinner and he was one of the rudest servers I've ever encountered. He i is single-handedly the only reason why I would never eat here again. The food was good however the bathroom was a disgusting mess. And you know what they say, you can tell how a kitchen is kept by how the bathroom is kept.

I'm seeing a bunch of bad reviews, but our experience hasn't been so rough. We were seated right away, my drink was here within a few minutes, don't judge a book by it's cover and don't judge a restaurant based on it's reviews ;) Food was great- but I've never really had bad food at any of the Applebee's lol.

I loved that they were pimping Howl-O-scream! I really couldn't decide what I wanted on the menu, so I opted to get the Pretzels for an appetizer and my friend and I opted for burgers. When I ordered mine, (cowboy burger) I asked for no onions, meaning the raw onions, it came to me without the fried onions, making it nothing but a bacon cheese burger, since I didn't get any of the bbq sauce on it. Oh well. My friend had the bacon cheese burger. All was well with his. It's a chain location. Nothing wrong with it, but .. it's not the cream of the crop.

I am at Applebee's Oldsmar, because I have a $5.00 coupon and wanted to try their strawberry avocado chicken salad. I ordered a large glass of Mark West Pinot Noir and took one sip. It was awful!! I just had the same brand at Flemings on Sunday and this was horrid! So I had a glass of water and they brought out my salad. It looked beautiful, but there was so much vinegary dressing on it, all I could do is pick off the chicken (which was delicious), the strawberries and avocado. My lips are burning from the vinegar and thank goodness I have water. And I am suppose to believe that this salad was even close to the 480 calorie count! No way!?! I have not seen a manager yet. Stay tuned... I spoke with manager and her only defense was - there is a recipe we have to go by and I'm sorry the dressing was too spicy for you. She did not charge me, but I left a $5.00 tip for my awesome waiter - very personable! He also said my $5.00 coupon is still good for the future, but I will not be using it!

The server who I had was okay, but the food was not great, honestly I even took a chance with the strawberry shooter and the graham cracker part tasted like pudding it was watered down and the whip cream was not even in the cup it was half fallen out and on the side she served it to me like that and in all respect I stay away from this applebees

Myself and a few co-workers walked here for lunch. We sat at the bar and I took advantage of the half priced appetizer special at the bar. I ordered the chicken quesadillas and had to bring half of them home. THAT'S a heck of a deal at half price. They were tasty too!

I'm not ever been a fan of Applebee's since the food is consistently bleah, at any and every Applebee's in the world. This one shares the one redeeming characteristic of Applebee's... 2 for 1 drinks all the time.

This location is great due to the fact it's never really busy. We have never gotten a bad meal or service. We don't live far from this one and it is definitely our neighborhood Applebees. The fried pretzel sticks and cheese is a new twist. We liked the atmosphere, comfortable and laid back, like most. If you go to watch a game while you eat, it will be loud.

A very convenient location as it's next to the Marriott hotels that don't serve lunch or dinner (Residence Inn and Courtyard). Your typical chain restaurant with a whole new revamped menu that offers a good variety of scintillating tastes. The food is no different than what you'd get at Chili's or TGIF, but the new stuff is worth trying out (like Tyler Florence's Bruschetta Burger on Foccaccia bread). The service here is genuinely nice and very hospitable. It actually reminded me of the commercials where they treat you like a local family. This was very different compared to what I face in California locations.

Went there for dinner the Saturday before Mother's Day and it was surprisingly not that crowded. We had the special of the draft beer 2-4-1 and we questioned the waiter why he brought 4 glasses of beer since we were only two. He explained if we get the special that the way the served. From that point he was as nasty as he could be. He asked what we were having and then after we order he said to repeat what we want since he wasn't paying attention because he was counting money. He didn't bring silverware to our table and by the time the food arrived couldn't eat it. The manager stop to check our table and we told him it will be good if we can eat but no silverware. The waiter appeared and brought the silverware and didn't ask if we need anything else. He never stops by our table while we had our meal and came with the check without knowing that we wanted a dessert. Never had such a rude waiter and he's on the wrong business. My friend left a tip anyways since he's polite.

This visit was not my best visit. We usually go for late dinner, but decided to go for lunch on this occasion. Since we went for a late lunch (2pm) we missed the rush, and there were only about 5 other tables in the restaurant. It appeared that our waiter was trying to help all of the tables, even though there were definitely at least two other waiters there. I also watched both of the other two waiters texting while walking around or walking around talking on their cell phones. At one point both the hostess and one of the waiters were on their phones and when some customers walked in, she didn't even attempt to end her conversation and seat them. They seated themselves and our waiter went over and greeted them and gave them their menu. The kitchen was also extremely slow - especially for how slow it was. It definitely wasn't our waiters fault because our food was piping hot when it came out, so it was brought out as it was ready. But I will say that our waiter was awesome. He was very attentive and friendly and seemed like a hard worker. I also didn't see him on a cell phone not a single time, which was great considering what everyone else was doing. My favorite thing about this location is that they have half priced appetizers after 9pm, where the other applebees in this area don't do it until after 10pm. They also are a lot friendlier than other Applebees and it's definitely my favorite location.

I have so much love for Applebees with the only exception that they keep threatening me with not only removing the veggie-patch pizza from the menu, but from availability forever! I like the staff, the feel, the drinks, and veggie patch. It's the best menu item they have there, but now it's a secret, and each time I visit is a sad reminder that they could do away with it forever. Well now a warning from me to Applebees: Render the Veggie Patch Pizza extinct, and I go with it!

Disgusting. read tracie mcmillan's book about working at applebee's...ALL THE FOOD IS MICROWAVED. NONE OF IT IS FRESH. they're just dumping cisco crap food out of plastic bags and into the microwave...this includes all of their disgusting "sauces," which are just mixes of msg, preservatives, and low quality fats. for the same price, go out for thai, cuban, latin american, indian, mexican....you know, somewhere where they prepare real food, not re-rocked chicken breasts pre-pressed with grill marks and quickly reheated. or just save yourself some money and eat applebee's quality food for much less - just buy yourself a frozen dinner, heat it up, and then put it on a real plate.

A surprisingly depressing and put-offing experience. We've been at the residence Inn located bang next to it for a month now; and this was our third visit to the Applebees. It was a (very) late afternoon meal that we went for, but does that allow the waitress to not attend to our table and stand outside for god knows what reason? We asked what frozen dessert they would serve with the kids meal, we chose one, but never received one(???). There was an insect in my Oriental salad, the waitress told some guy waiter to go and apologise and say "yes it IS very disgusting...so I will pay for the salad." Fine, go ahead. pay for it. Oh yes, when the waitress came to get our 8 dollar reduced cheque, she took the payment book and ran to attend a VERY IMPORTANT phone call. she then dropped our credit card during her sprint, which I picked up and handed to another waitress, who then proceeded to hand it to that VERY BUSY waitress. Do not want to return to this really sad establishment again. Not with their bug infested food and high and mighty waitress.

My boyfriend and I love to visit Applebee's for the half-price appetizers after 10pm, and the 2-4-1 drinks doesn't hurt either ;-) We always sit at the bar and are pretty much always helped by Jessie. She's a very nice girl and I love that she remembers us, even if we haven't been in for a while. The only issue I've ever had was a very obnoxiously drunk guy. Jessie warned us, but even that couldn't have prepared me. I honestly think management should have booted him for disturbing patrons, but oh well. I just moved away and eventually everyone else got the hint and joined me. It's a nice place to just hang out with friends and relax. The appetizers on the half-price menu are tasty...I especially love the chips and queso and wonton tacos. YUM!

Applebees right next door to the Marriott? Yep:) I typically wouldn't give a chain restaurant like Applebees 5 stars but the fact that this was so close to my hotel and the staff was so nice it's justified. I guess the new menu with assistance from Tyler Florence helped as well :) Amazing... If you want great service and are staying in the Tampa area definitely stop by and tell them Yelp sent ya.

At first, the restaurant was named T.J. Applebee's RX for Edibles and Elixirs. After the concept was acquired by W.R. Grace and Company, the restaurant was renamed as Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar. Later the company and the Applebee's concept changed hands with Abe Gustin and John Hamra who started the first Applebee's franchise restaurant in Kansas City.
