Went on a Tuesday for the Lobster Boil for 2. It was fantastic. For $44 you get 2 whole lobsters, crab legs, mussels, clams, potatoes, corn on the cob, and cole slaw. We also had someone in our party get the prime rib and it was delicious as well. Nightly beer specials for 99cents. Seating area is limited, but well worth any wait.

Had a great meal. Four of us had steak and lobster. The steak was very flavorful and the lobster was succulent, as good as I ever had in New England.

Alfie's Tavern 11677 E Hwy 25 Ocklawaha, FL 32179 (352) 288-9771 Amazing, I have read bad reviews and good reviews on Alfie's and have heard from several folks as late as today they enjoyed their meal at Alfie's last night, so not sure why some folks love it and some folks hate it? Different cooks, different wait folks, different phases of the moon, snow birds, locals, guest, visitors, the fact we are all different and from different food back grounds...not sure...will go check Alfie's and see for my self...stay tuned.

This was my first visit to Alfie's, and it was at breakfast time. My cheese and sausage omelet with grits and biscuits was yummy and my friend, who had the same breakfast, agreed. I noticed that Alfie's even keeps your coffee cup filled... and quickly! What could make the breakfast better? The biscuits need to be hot and fresh!

We tried this with a to go order last week. Got the stuffed shells and salad and it was so much that it fed 3 of us and still had left overs. What a deal!! Well priced food and tasty. We do get the pizza delivered too! Always a success.

I came to this area to stay at a local bed and breakfast. This place was suggested to us. It was the worst food I have ever eaten in my life. The prime rib for which they are famous was cold, chewy, and flavorless. The service was terrible, and we had to wait 15 minutes for a new beer...and we were sitting at the bar with only one other couple...it was dead. The waitress was busy doing her side work and talking. We almost left without paying. That bad.

Tucked away, both in space and time, this is the place for the BEST prime rib in Marion County. Oh, and did I mention the Bauer Fries? And good old iceberg lettuce with blue cheese dressing? Just doesn't get any better than this for a Valentine's dinner with a friend. I'll have to run a marathon to work off the calories, but, worth every bite. Sit at the bar if it's crowded and talk to the locals. Fun, fun, fun. Oh, and Donna, the bar maid was AWESOME.

Stopped in to try it out. Very satisfied!! I had the prime rib and my girlfriend had the loaded bake potato soup and side winder fries. Everything was excellent! Service was absolutely great.the place was very clean and atmosphere was unique. I will be going back soon. Highly recommended!

I give them one star because none of their info is accurate. They don't open until 11am, therefore they do not serve breakfast. They are not open on Sundays contrary to what their website says. Two trips out there only to find them closed. They need to update their info on Yelp as well as on their own website.

We went to Alfie's tonight for the lobster pot for two. Once again the service was spotty. I had to sit my mug at the tables edge to get a drink refill. The lobster pot was good. It certainly isn't very filling not to mention the lobster was a little over cooked and chewy. Overall the experience was okay. So far breakfast has been our best bet.

Alfie's is finally off our go - to list...for good...and we live only a few miles from Alfie's! Food (in our opinion) has always been hit & miss here.....and service was always on the surly borderline rude side...especially if you didn't order what (or enough of) what they think you should have ordered. The pizza was only so so....lacking in cheese & toppings for the price. Some sandwiches good, some not so much. Their so called 'reuben' sandwich was just horrible and pitiful! What REALLY did it however were the recent BIG PRICE INCREASES across the menu. For instance, the fish & ships lunch was good...and affordable. Now after a BIG price increase which 'includes' a drink....thereby forcing you to 'buy' the high priced drink whether you wanted it or not...! Former 'sandwich plates' have become much higher priced 'combos'....forcing you to 'buy' the drink... and so goes the whole menu. So....the combination of much higher prices, inconsistent food and amateurish surly service have means NO MORE ALFIE'S in our future.....!

We went for the prime rib for two special on Monday. The place has a nice ambiance, sort of like an old hunting or fishing lodge. Lots of wood paneling. We started with shrimp poppers. These came piping hot and perfectly fried accompanied with homemade tarter sauce. The prime rib was above average, very juicy and tender plenty for 2. Salad was plain and small with iceberg lettuce. We were too full for dessert. Bill with 3 beers came in slightly over $40. I would definitely go back.

Fantastic if your with older folks who eat just about anything. However, my family is not that particularly choosy like myself. If I had to chose to walk out I personally would have considering there's not much for me to eat here. Me; Gluten free, no butter and no saturated fat oils (canola and vegetable). Parents and grandparents had the prime rib special (fit for a family of 4) and stuffed flounder for 2 others in our party. Cheap ass Beer and BIG ass Steaks is what the menu should read. Best of luck to the cholesterol folks! For myself, Nada. I did have the ahi tuna since they didn't have the maine lobster (menu indicated they may not have it) and couldn't give me any fresh sides as the veggies were all cut for the days servings with crap loads of butter. Ugh. As long as my family was happy, and I had a somewhat decent vino to hold me over, I'll take it. Oh, and I ordered the tomato and basil soup to start. Best item in the menu! (For me at least) Cheers!

Great service, awesome prime rib. The place reminds me of up North. Everyone is very friendly and the place seems to run smoothly. The staff seems to be very customer oriented. They have a full liquor Bar and they make some awesome drinks. Have been here 5 times and will definitely be back.
