Awesome diner. Best Cuban sandwich anywhere. Amazing pies with sugar free choices. Breakfast anytime. Daughter rates philly cheese as in the top 5 of best sandwiches! She's picky too.

Typical greasy spoon Lunch specials were a disaster Fish sandwich was soggy and tasteless Stuffed pork chop was tuff and dried out Stuffing sucked so I scraped it off I think it might be a breakfast dinner

IMO this is a country version of what us city folk would call a "hole-in-the-wall" . It seemed to be more of a local neighborhood type of restaurant to me. It's definitely not fancy and the decor isn't much to look at but the flip side is that the atmosphere isn't defrayed in the cost of the food. You can't beat the value (taste, portion size) for the price. The service wasn't anything special but the waitress did her job which was to serve the food. I had a simple grilled cheese with fries and it was ok. Wasn't the best grilled cheese I've ever eaten but it wasn't horrible either. It was good. I wouldn't order it again but that's only because I would never go to to Oasis again if given the choice. Definitely a one and done type of deal. Long story short... food is decent. Nothing grand but can most certainly fill you up if you're hungry. Besides you can't beat feeding two people at a sit down restaurant for $11.00.

Good home cooking. Great place to meet for breakfast. Lots of good specials on their white board. Nothing fancy, just good food and friendly waitstaff.

Great little locally run place in the midst of chain restaurant land. A Latin theme underscores the good diner menu. All the American basics in a clean, comfy spot. Stuffed peppers, sammies, burgers etc... Breakfast is supposed to be good but we had lunch today. I had a very good Cubano sandwich with a side of tostones (fried plantain) for $7.99. Food is a tad slow coming out but I think they make each dish one at a time, so its ok.

The Oasis actually has good food for a diner style restaurant. Then again I have only had breakfast. Catering to the senior crowd this place could really use an overhaul in the decor department and they might actually attract the younger market also (If there is such a thing in Ocala). The staple to any breakfast place is good coffee, and they have this, service is fast and polite, except for the checkout process at the register. Sometimes you can stand there 2 mins waiting for the woman. With flowered curtains, red valances, weathered drop ceilings that are stained,and old photos on the wall. It really is like walking into your grandmothers house. But once again I keep going back when I visit my parents in this area, they do a great breakfast....build your own or order from the menu, with coffee for under $6.00. So if you want grandmas decor with portable oxygen tanks around half the clientele, then this is the place for you......but the food is surprisingly good for this kind of place. Guys, just please update the decor!!!
