Great place to come for a quick bite to eat. It may not look like a great place on the outside, but the food is where it counts. My coworkers and I have always enjoyed great service, hot food, and healthy portions at low prices. I definitely recommend this place if you're in the area and remind you never to judge a book by its cover. Get the number 1, you won't leave hungry or penniless

So we've driven past this place for the past many many years. It's not exactly in the nicer part of town. This time when we drove by there wasn't anyone there so we figured we would stop and try them. The owner (middle eastern) greeted us with a friendly hello and welcome (nice start). I asked how the gyros are and if they are off the kabob spit. He replied 'Best gyros in town I guarantee it'. We ordered two gyros and one order of fries (the fries feed the 3 of us). The gyro was very tasty and IMO was properly assembled, lots of gyro meat, lots of tzatziki sauce, sliced tomatoes and sliced onions. The pita bread you could tell was very fresh and possibly homemade. Hmmm good..just writing this review I'd like another. While this place does appear to be a hole in the wall. We highly reccommend this place for getting on your gyro fix in the north central Florida area.

Current health inspection: 12 @ Risk Violations. This bldg. is run down, dirty and not in a very good area. Buy the name you would think it was a Greek restaurant. Not so. The only Greek items are the gyro and the dolmas which actually are not on the menu. Some of the other items available are okra, shrimp, wings, jalapeno peppers and the such. I had the dolmas and an order of conch. The dolmas are not fresh. In fact they are ordered in. When unrolling the grape leaf I witnessed a mash of rice and other unknown items. The oil was just pouring off of them. The conch had not been tenderized and I could not chew some of it. They seemed to be fried w/ a lot of paprika. In fact the cook left his handprint of paprika on top of the container. Can you say ick?

The Gyro's are the best outside of Chicago. I have tried every gyro sandwich in Gainesville and nothing compares. When I'm in the mood we make the 35 mile drive to Ocala just for their food. I have never been a fan of seasoned fries, I wish they had normal unseasoned fries but everyone else loves them so they must be pretty good. I have always used the small drive-thru so I can't speak of the atmosphere although the staff especially the owner are very nice and easy to deal with. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

I kept passing this place and had my doubts, but decided to check it out. I only did drive-thru so I can't speak to the conditions inside, but the lamb gyro was the best I've ever had. I'll be back for sure.

Not sure if I should review this place, as I didn't have a sub or gyro, but the shrimp and chicken tenders are amazing! This place has plentiful sauce options, all of them great. The fries are specially seasoned and delish. Love the ambience inside, a delightfully divey kinda place with ample seating. Definitely worth stopping or going through the drive thru!!!

I love their gyros and wings but I'd rather bring the food to go because the atmosphere isn't pleasant. I would definitely return.
