I've now ordered two things for carry out. One was a pizza which was like the big guys meet lovers and the other was a hoagie and Italian one to be precise. I was really impressed with the quality. No greasy cuts of meat here they obviously buy the better stuff and it shows. Nice independently owned mom-and-pop and I'm glad I found it.

Stopped in with two friends at lunch time. Service was a little slow because the waitress was busy and forgot us for a bit. We had two calzones and a meatball sub. Food was very good. Staff was friendly, but the 30 minutes until served was too long. Probably not normal, so will go back because food was quite good.

Best pizza in this area. Crust was very good. Sauce not bad. Cheese and mushrooms were also very good. Any other places nearby are SO bad they make this place look fantastic. Will definitely go back. Nice people too.

Nothing fancy, just good Italian food at a good price. Pizza is pretty good, but lunch specials are outstanding value. One of the better restaurants in Ocala.

Food is basic red sauce but flavorful nonetheless. The veal was tender and well prepared, reasonable prices as most dishes are around $13. Lots of pizza being served. No booze, just mediocre wine and beer, services was a bit slow and not really friendly. Not bad, but no destination place.

Joey's is a little place in a strip mall. It lacks decor, it's dirty and the food is subpar. All three of us complained about the way oversalted dishes. There is no finesse, just piled on food with a sauce. The wines are jug wines. Jug wines? No excuses for that. Come on Joey, start cooking real Italian food instead of the tasteless pizza joint food.

Pretty good pizza...for Florida. Just wish they had real sliced sausage, not that crumbled pork stuff. Didnt try the food. Very pleasant staff.

This place in a little shopping center looks undistinguished from the outside, but don't let that put you off. Really excellent pizza, nice people running the place, and it always smells delicious in there - just walking in is like taking a bite of something garlicky and yummy. Try the super deluxe pizza - it has great toppings and a good chewy crust. I usually order it with extra cheese, but even without the extra cheese it's a great pizza.

Always willing to stop and try Italian Food from small family restaurants. This place will not disappoint. Quiet atmosphere, and no special frills, just basic decor, but nice. Ordered the med pepperoni pizza, was more than pleased. Just the right amount of sauce, cheese, and the flavor of the pepperoni was very good. Good foldable pizza, loved it. Also tried the Veil Scallopini with angel hair pasta, nice, light and very tender. Just the right amount of pasta, sauce and meat. Ordered the large antipasto salad, that too was just the right amount for three to four people. Beer selection was adequate, as was the wine list. The deserts were absolutely amazing. I got the cannoli, yum!!!!! Tried the Tiramisu and that too was very good. Mary our waitress, was very pleasant, helpful and fun. Met some of the other staff and had a good conversation with them. Will definitely be going back and recommending to family and friends. Looking forward to try something else. Great Job Little Joey's

Holy Hubba Italian Moses!!! I love me some Little Joey's Pizza... Well, my hubby loves the Stromboli. He also loves the calzone! Oh and the Pizza... Ok.. Everything! I have to say that the reason I am actually writing the review is because the last time I was up there is because the gal behind the desk was amazing! She was so friendly and sweet! The service was Topnotch! We ordered, she helped us pick some new items and we basically settled on everything mentioned above... and we were on our way! The way to keep customers is customer service and keeping consistency of food! Little Joey's has the concept! I am very happy that they are in Ocala and near our home! Keep up the great work! My wife and I went to Little Joeys last night. We shard the four cheese pizza and added sausage. The flavor of the four cheeses (yummy ) and the crust was just right not burnt. We will be back for sure.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
