Lucky for me they were having a Hobbit special. Seems like he loves Sweet Potato Pecan Pancakes w/Spice Syrup and that was right up my alley for brunch. I've never had these before but being fond of all things pumpkin, it seemed appropriate. They were yummy! I had the Slam w/the pancakes and everything on the plate was cooked to perfection. My server JoAnn seemed like she had worked there years as she was familiar with everything. Amanda was being trained and for her first day did exceptionally well. Nothing like having 2 servers! The restaurant was clean as well as the restrooms and I loved their banquet room. It actually seemed a bit larger than the restaurant eating area. Unusual though was a creepy man just hanging out at the counter turned around staring at me the entire time I was eating. Uncomfortable is a understatement. Current health inspection: 2-high priority, 0-intermediate and 2-basic violations.

Went in for breakfast around 10:00 am this morning , no wait we went right to our booth which was directly in the sun, the waitress did close the blinds but they were full of dust etc that came flying down on us , luckily I saved my coffee , our waitress tried really hard but let's face it the food was ok and it was cold ,the restaurant is dirty they need to clean it up and get the food out when its hot , I don't know if I'll try it again or not I was disgusted by the staff and the food , it was cleaner etc when it was the Holiday Inn , it really went down hill

Been here twice. Once after a horrible experience at Applebee's. Food great as usual. Service was great too. The second time they were understaffed, but still a little patience went a long way. This is why I like Denny's its usually (not always however) always something you can generally rely on anywhere you go. Quiet, roomy, and friendly. This was at 11:30pm, and the first time was after 1:30am.

Tl;dr: Amazing food, especially middle of the night breakfast food run. Gene is literally the most amazing server. My husband and I come to this Dennys frequently, often very late to even dead in the middle of the night. Gene has been our server on multiple occasions and every time he's incredible! Attentive, quickly gets you anyhing you need. He does his best to remember our past orders/preferences. The food is great and is always cooked awesomely. Easily my favourite midnight food run and one of my favourite day time food places!

We were in Ocala for almost two weeks on business, and this Denny's was our go-to breakfast spot. Service was extremely friendly, consistent and prompt. Location is very convenient, right off I-75.

I am pretty pleased with this Denny's in Ocala, located just off I-75. I had sort of a dine-in craving after shopping at the "Super Flea Market". Our waitress, Tracy, was quick and attentive! She made sure everything was made right. She makes me up the star more. For those who want something death-feeling (no, not literally), but so good at the same time, get the "Bacon Slamburger"! It's got a patty, bacon, pepper jack queso cheese, but more importantly, it's got an egg (I got mine scrambled) and hash browns on it as well. The burger was also VERY messy... you might wanna hold it with a napkin. You cannot have this often! Might I add, try to avoid getting fries or onion rings as a side to that... 880 calories, my goodness. I don't find this a bad Denny's, and I'd definitely stop here again if I come back to this area of FL...

I understand coming to a place like this that it will not be a 5 star experience. However, I do expect the place to be clean and the service to be decent. Had brunch there this morning and it was neither of those things. I can certainly sympathize with the wait staff when a place is slammed but there is no excuse for what we experienced. I addition to waiting 20 mins to place our order, we had to go find our waitress to ask for drink refills. And for the first time ever, when the food came out incorrectly (I realize this is the kitchen's fault and not the waitress) the waitress, instead of offering to have it fixed, she suggested she bring us a separate plate so we could just move the food around until everyone had what they had ordered on their plate. Really?!? I wouldn't have been quite so offended by this except one person in our party is a strict vegetarian and bacon grease was dripping on all the food. Then after continuing to ignore us, she brought the check and disappeared without asking if we needed it split, which we did. Needless to say that when we got to the register, this was a big cluster and it took another 23 minutes for the 4 of us to pay for our meals. I'll NEVER go to this Denny's again.

Beware of cashiers trying to keep your change. It happened to me last night and I know it wasn't an honest mistake because of the way she looked at me when she realized I had noticed money was missing and because she knew right away how much she had to give me back even before I said anything to her. Food was mediocre. So COUNT your change before you leave!!!

It amazes me how they can remain open. I would name their menu items strike-out. They must survive off lost interstate travelers.

I love Denny's food. I get the same thing every time I go and they never mess it up. But it seems every other time I go, theres always something I see that is growl worthy. Last week my boyfriend and I went around noon, and service was fine. The sweet tea was sour. Like it tasted old. Whatever, I got a soda instead. And DO NOT get seated on the left hand side of the diner. Every window ledge has a Holocaust of fruit flies laying on it. Its like a giant final resting place for over stuffed pests. Its not the best thing to see while your trying to eat. It drove me nuts. Such blatant ignorance towards such a simple fix. Like every waitress that ever cleaned those tables had to have seen 6000 dead flies sitting on those ledges and did the "not my job" thing. So stay away from the left side, the waitresses are better on the right anyway. My waitress had a voice that came straight out of Squidbillies, like she had a cigarette permanently lodged into her windpipe. And smelled vaguely like cats. Ugh, tobacco/kitty litter stained fingers touching my plate. Gross.

Friendly staff, great service, and fresh, delicious food. We enjoyed a "build your own burger" with a side salad. Our waitress, Tracy, took really good care of us. Easy to get to from I75 if you are on the road like we were.
