We enjoy this restaurant, food is fresh and well prepared. Service is always excellent. Way above all the chain restaurants in Ocala, nice to have a restaurant that takes pride in quality and customer service.

Great pizza and even better service. Always friendly and helpful. I absolutely love Blue Highway Pizza. Living half a mile from their pizza is awesome. I eat there weekly. Try it. You will be happy.

I guess when I think of Pizzaria, I think of an oven - either stone oven or otherwise that the pizza is cooked in. The pizza we got last week was obviously cooked in a pan with WAY TOO MUCH OIL. The toppings were good, but to cook a pie in that much oil is just gross. We ordered a greek and a margarita - both were drenched in oil (the crust). How do I know for sure? Take a look a the box. It was drenched. Luckily I had a really hungry teenager that was so hungry he didn't mind. I was hoping for much better. They need to get a real pizza oven. Keep in mind that I did not order the Sicilian crust pizza- but the thin. It felt extremely greasy. Service for take out was quick and the staff was really nice. But, I won't go back.

Well the food was pretty good. But we're used to the Micanopy setting. This place seemed frantic; servers running in a hurry, screwing up the orders; not just ours either.mostly young kids that seemed clueless. We did enjoy the pasta dishes; their salads are as usual great, but atmosphere was dismal I must say. Their brownie seemed stale. Sorta left with an "Oh Well". We've been going to Micanopy for years; thought the owners would appreciate the feed back.

I went to this particular spot because i had heard good things about the Micanopy restaurant and I figured they would be just as good, this place completely blew my expectations, me and my wife ordered a vegetarian pizza (no we are not vegetarians, it just sounded fantastic) and i must say the flavor was amazing, they buy local ingredients and you can tell, everything was fresh and delicious and i look forward to go back real soon.

I wish we had one of these in Fort Lauderdale, so delicious we ate there twice on our weekend trip. My boyfriend is super picky when it comes to Italian food, but his place surpassed our expectations. The food taste fresh and authentic. I tried the chicken piadine, which I had no clue what it was, but loved it. It was light and refreshing. We also tried the Bolgnese and Carbonara dishes, excellent.

A different way to do pizza. Not Chicago, not New York style, but a totally unique product. Salads are also excellent. Not quite as unique decor as the original "highway" in Micanopy but very comfortable. Service is always good considering the limited seating. Access and parking are limited. Don't make the mistake of parking in neighboring biz lots. A real jewel on E Silver Springs.

According to Blue Highway's website the Ruffin family established in 2004 at the rustic roadside pizza place I reviewed on my last visit to Ocala. It's a plastic utensil place with good pizza and also a gluten free pizza..... huge plus for my Celiac sister. Their website claims they were in the Doc Hollywood film. We dined at their third opening in Ocala recently, just a mile from where Tarzan was filmed (according to their website) once again knowing they had a gluten free menu. There is outdoor seating but it's on a heavy traveled highway. In August who would choose that? Not us. There are multiple seating options, this was a Monday early evening so we had a choice but by the time we left the place was packing them in so I guess you might not have a choice if you choose poorly. Our waiter seemed to be a newbie, had to check on some of our questions, that's ok, we all start off new at one time in our lives. There were four of us. We got the antipasto for a starter and let me tell you, it was delicious and abundant. The hummus was from white beans with plenty of garlic. Garlic toast was crunchy, olives, peppers, eggplant... just look at the picture. It was beautiful and a very good value. We each had a small plate in front of us to enjoy this deliciousness. There was at least 15 minutes before our entrées arrives, perfect timing. Oh our devoured antipasto plate and our four small plates were still on the table, why is that you might ask yourself? Our server passed our table many times, empty handed and didn't collect them. So, the four of us bussed our table so these people from the kitchen could set our meals down. Unacceptable. Three of us had pretty delicious meals. The Stromboli across the table had a perfect crust, big and bubbly, just perfect pastry. My artichoke/spinach flatbread presented as a pizza, not sure I liked that. The huge let down was the gluten free penne ala pesto with chicken. Cooking gluten free pasta is an art. I know that because I have done it. The pasta will absorb everything liquid around it and then bind up. It's an art. Sis asked for extra sauce knowing there might be a problem, there was. The pasta was undercooked, harder than Al dente and there was no sauce. It was sent back. On the next go round the pasta was cooked but it was floating in a pool of soup. It was sent back. Kudos to Manager Brandy for realizing the mistakes and stepping up. The gluten free meal was taken off the bill and we got 25% off a gluten free pizza to go. Note to restaurants who want to serve gluten free... btw it's your future..... take the time to learn how to cook it. Sis's pizza may have had gluten free ingredients but judging from her today it was contaminated by the pizza wheel, using the same pasta water as gluten pasta, the oven or even someone's hands. If you are going to serve it train your staff to keep your patrons healthy.

On a follow up visit my server Amanda assisted me in choosing an appy. I was going to have the Antipasti Plate but wanted something filling. She suggested one of the flatbreads and she was right! I enjoyed the Brie & Spinach Flatbread...all of it. It's also topped w/bacon, roasted red onions and a balsamic glaze. Um, um, good!!! Service was excellent as before and cleanliness was top notch.

Today they get 1 star for our office lunch to-go order. Apparently the cup and bowl soup are different size containers and different prices but exactly the same quantity contained inside. Disappointing

DIsappointed. After the buildup I was expecting the Best Pizza Ever. Alas, only half the pizza met that mark. The good part were the toppings. They have a wide selection of the usual and quite unusual toppings (eggplant?) which add variety to the offerings. Thus, the center of my pizza was fresh and tasty with a nice, savory tomato sauce. The disappointment was in the thin crust which was a bit too thin in the middle, thus becoming soggy, and overly thick at the edge. It was also covered in corn meal (or something like that) which completely changed the texture. Speaking of, the texture was somewhat tough with the bread not having risen completely. The next day having the leftovers for lunch (sometimes the best part!) the center was still excellent but the crust had devolved into being very tough and, now, rubbery. A great crust should not change that much in under 24 hours. My wife had a gluten free pizza which she reported to be excellent, even for gluten free. Excellent toppings there, too. Just having GF available adds a star to my rating.

The cook accidentally messed up my to go order. He owned up to it and apologized. The other staff were so pleasant and efficient it made up for the delay in food delivery. Mistakes happen, but the way they dealt with them made them 5 stars in my book!

My wife and I are new englanders and are used to really good pizza. But, the pizzas we have tried here are as good as any we have tried anywhere. Great choices. Extremely well prepared. Good beer selections. Great service. We have been here twice and had a great experience both times. Can't wait to go back!

I want to tell you that today, (actually it was Monday, Sep 8, 2014) was the best lunch experience we have ever enjoyed at Blue Highway. Our server, Bobby Joe was exceptional. She answered our questions and comments, (almost before we ask) with professionalism, knowledge and most of all, a beautiful smile. As I told Bobby Joe, we brought friends in for lunch and this made a bout 50-60 people that we have brought in to Blue Highway. I arrange group outings from our community. Whenever we attend an event in your area I always include lunch at Blue Highway. The service has always been excellent but today Bobby Joe made us feel very special. I know that my partner and I will be back and I'm certain the couple who came with us today will return with their friends and family. I brought a group of 23 in a few weeks ago. Before that we brought a group of 16 or so. As well, we've brought numerous couples with us. Everybody has had nothing but good things to say. Anyway, just thought you should know. A GREAT PLACE TO ENJOY A DELIGHTFUL MEAL AND GOOD COMPANY!

Had to give 4 out of 5 because it seems a bit overpriced. Food is good love their shrimp bisque soup. Also their bean salad is very fresh and delicious! Atmosphere is excellent as well.

The cool factor meant a long wait, but the specialty pizzas were well beyond ordinary and outdoor seating on the Boulevard is a rare treat. Our waiter, Sean, provided outstanding, attentive service.

Our waitress was very good however the food was not. It was ok but I've had much better. Wife had the Cesar salad and said it wasn't very good. Just over all not worth the money.

Had a plain cheese pizza. Crust was tough, sauce tasteless. Companion had the carne pizza. Same problem, tough Sicilian crust, flavorless meats. Will not return.

Come for the attractive staff and their glorious beards, stay for the amazing food. Whatever you're craving, Blue Highway is guaranteed to cater and I've yet to be anything than more than satisfied with my many visits. They have abundant pizza, salad, sandwich, flatbread, and "small plates" options, and can cater to any of your diet restrictions. Friendly staff, fresh ingredients, great food.

Had one of their specialty Sicilian pizzas. To my great surprise, this was some of the best pizza I've had in Florida. The staff and service was fairly attentive, and the decor exceeded my expectations. Considering what use to occupy this building (Arby's), my hats off to the ownership, for a pretty cool concept.

Friendly staff. Pizza was good. Pleased with the craft beer on tap. Weather was cool, so sitting outside to dine was great. All in all it's alright.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types.
