Had to blast through the drive-in because I was SO short on time. It was rapid. Thanks, Steak N Shake for a no nonsense hamburger, made on a soft, soft bun, with fresh tomatoe & lettuce & condiments. That, with fries and a drink, were under five bucks too.

The worst service of any Steak and Shake in the world. Period. Came in for a Steak and Shake meal, and the entire place was up for grabs. Dirty dishes completely covered the counter, and dozens of empty ketchup bottles were all around the service area. Apparently there was question as to who was supposed to refill these, so they just left them lying around. This place needs a visit from undercover boss, and I am sure the entire place would be fired.

I love this place. I moved to Naples in June from NJ, and discovered this 24 hr location and thank god i Did because its so hard to find decent hot food after 10pm here. I have a penchant for onion rings and they do a pretty good ring for price. I actually pride myself on rating onon rings and must say better than applebees or any other chain. Moreover, they have awesome breakfast food like pancakes, eggs etc starting at 12am YEAH. I get hungry then and what better option than eggs and bacon with biscuit to fill my tummy. Also tried their hot dogs and pleased by beef nature, no pork.Shakes are awesome, please try bannana shakes, i put choc pieces in mine ,and shake had fresh bannanas in there. Half priced at 2am. Well what else can i say but i come here once a week not just for food, but great friendly staff thanks staff for your hospitality. Thanks for waiting for me to decide on my order for 20min, hmm egg skillet or jalopeno burger. Ahh, they accept me and my addiction to onion rings and chipotle may. Yeah, and so mcuh better than the angst ridden teenagers workiing at mcdonalds, which is the only other alternative late night ( I miss my NJ diners:) and food of course is 10times better and almost same prices. Go and get your stomachs and mood fed:

I don't know what happened to this Steak N Shake. I've given it a few more visits but this last drive thru was THE WORST. Sign on menu said "no milkshakes". The guy taking the order wouldn't even speak. The burgers were ICE cold, the fries ICE cold, chilli warm, threw the bag at us and no straws and wouldn't come back to window. What a disappointment for a Naples restaurant. Where are the Owners/Managers? The inside is dirty, the whole place is run by kids who could care less. The attitude is of the employees are terrible. I was really concerned about the food I've eaten at this place. I say, go to McDonalds on Airport for fast food = it is WAY better than this dirty place. Steak N Shake you should be ashamed of your Naples location manager/owners. Close it for fix it! I'm done AND I grew up on the OLD School Steak N Shake where they came to your window. This is crap.

There are so many locations all over the US, I didn't even know about Steak n Shake until Marc Summers (host of the Food Network show: Unwrapped) recommended it on The Best Thing I ever Ate episode: Between Bread. It was when we first landed in Florida and Suzy picked us both up from the Airport. It was almost 9:00 and we had to find somewhere to eat so we chose Steak n Shake. So many Good Burgers (Pun intended) to choose from plus choosing from almost 2 Dozen milkshakes. For my Milkshake, I got a Small Peanut Butter and Banana (Pretty Good). For my Entrée I got the Royale Steakburger (Quality Meat Topped with an Egg, Bacon and Jalepeno's). Grandma and Suzy just got Regular Steakburgers. This is a good place to get some high quality burgers, Next time I come I'm getting myself a bunch of milkshakes. fantastic service, great food, reasonably priced, friendly waiters/waitresses, you can definitely bet I'm coming back !!!

Good was good, our waitress was good but I saw customers walk out for not being waited on, mostly teens working that don't have a clue. Not impressed with this location at all. Came to try it because a friend raved about the food. Will not be to this location

In the past 2 weeks I have been here 8 times for breakfast. My dad has been here from Indiana, and will only eat here for breakfast (old person thing I guess). The food is never the same. Some days pancakes very big and fluffy but most days small and flat. Service is very very slow if they have more than a couple tables in there. I quit going through the takeout about a year ago due to always getting the wrong order. Good luck going here, it's a crap shoot.

I was seated promptly and paid for my meal just as quickly. The waiter was attentive and my food arrived pretty fast. The burgers and fries are always great as well and CHEAP! Yum! It might not be the best burger in the world but it certainly satisfies, and a lot better than TGIF, which is sad really. Lol

Great food, great price. Service? Hmm.. I took my 3 year old son for his first time. 5 minutes after we were served, the server asked us if we wanted our drinks to go. I must point out, I was halfway through eating, and I eat fast. It was obvious she was rushing us. We were there off peak and the place was half capacity. When I ordered my son a shake, she again asked if it would be "to go." In sit down establishments, customers will let you know if they want their food "to go." I will say that the Chicago dog was so good that I will go back. I just wish I could have relaxed during what should have been a fun father/son outing.

They used to be good at this location, I'm not sure what happened but this burgers suck and there is no customer service. Steak 'N Shake is our late night fix when visiting Naples like White-Castle is whenever we are heading home from North Jersey on the weekends. Now it is late night fast food but when you can notice a decline in the quality that is pretty bad. In the three years I have been visiting Naples the food at this establishment have been on a rapid decline. The burgers are terrible and are nothing like what they used to be. They taste bad, and they are poorly put together. The fries are blah, and even the shakes are eh.

The only thing that saves this experience from being a 0 was the great burger. Been eating at steak n shakes around country for years, this was by far worst experience. Staff, not trained, not going into details, just not trained, shirt he was wearing looked liked it had been in laundry a couple of times. Guy working in back who I think I were working drive through came out in apron that was so so dirty. Smell of raw sewage in the dining room just outside of the restrooms that carried out into the main part of sing room. French fries, have had fresher that had been picked up in drive through and taken home a half hour away from where they were picked up. Oh and the chili? What a joke, the guy making it put six parts of water when the recipe called for 1. Staff was trying hard, I just think they are lacking leadership.

You can barely hear the people at the drive through and when you get to the window it as if the grease caked up on the window hits you as they open. I almost lost my drink when it was handed to me because the cup was filthy with grease and grime. I hate going on vacation and eating food I can get at home but I am better off eating a Quarter Pounder with cheese. I give it two stars because it was good at one point.

Okay, let me start this off with they need better wait staff. Like ones that don't forget everything you order. Yes, once the rest of my families food came in, the waiter asked if I had even ordered anything, yes, you even forgot my drink. Also. A burger place that's out of mustard? That's odd. Anyways, food was fine, but the guy at the register was super friendly.

When looking for a fish sandwich to take home for my sick wife, I looked online, and found out that Steak and Shake offers a fish sandwich. They also offer a fish plate. When I got here, I was informed that they no longer carry that. The table tents say they have a fish sandwich, and the website says they have a fish sandwich. Though the website dips say "limited time", table tennis can be pulled immediately, websites can be updated immediately, in real time. this steak n shake continuously disappoints.

The drive-thru is a nightmare. The microphone system is in the worst possible condition that it could possibly be. The employees are unfriendly and when we picked up our food, the employees were yelling at each other. Management, if you are reading this, please fix your store and your employees!!! The food, as always, is good as expected. Despite this, the employees are simply off putting. They think that customers can't hear them behind the service doors, when in reality, the customer hears everything. In addition, we had to wait in the drive-thru line for at least 5 minutes for our food, with at least three other cars behind us.

First of all I want to start off by saying I usually don't give ratings unless I really feel I need to. But tonight my experience at steak and shake was necessary.to rate. My husband is a vegetarian and allergic to meat. So we politely asked our waitress if there was a possibility that our sandwich would touch any meat. She politely told us that she would go get her manager. The manager walked over to us like he was going to beat us up or something and when I asked my question he was very sarcastic and rude. He put his fingers and said I'll try but "it's steak and shake" I can't guarantee your food won't touch meat. And walked away with an attitude without letting us say anything else more. I don't understand how people let ignorant people like this ruin their business. We won't be back and I don't recommend!

We are full-time residennts of Naples and unfortunately this steak and shake is not up to par. About every three or four months we decide to give them one more chance just because we love their food and milkshakes. I am sorry to say that of the five times we have visited they have never gotten our order correct and it has always been extremely slow service. One time, I was trapped waiting in the drive-through for 55 minutes. When I got up to pay the cashier didn't have a clue how long I had waited, I had to tell him and then pressed him and he finally gave me a 10% discount. Last night, my husband took my kids through the drive-through and of course they got the order wrong.I grew up along route 66 and have a nostalgia for steak and shake restaurants however I will never patronize this restaurant again. Five chances was five too many.

If I could give a negative rating, I, too, would do it. The food is fair. The service is absolutely horrible! The floors are dirty - check out underneath the kitchen stove if you are seated where you can see it - I'm surprised I didn't spot some vermin! I did spot a kitchen worker picking her nose and a cook with gloves on, touching other employees and not changing his gloves before resuming cooking and touching food. Believe me, it's really bad.

This is my third and final visit. (If not for my kids, the first would have been my last). Do not take lightly the other reviews concerning the service at this location. We were ignored for eight minutes while we waited for a table. While we waited just to be greeted, we observed the following: a man waiting to pay his Bill for the entire time we waited. He gave the cashier an earful complaining about his miserable wait. Eyeballing the open tables who hoped we would one day be ours, w counted six dirty tables. Good was standard waitress while nice, was in way over head waiting tables. In fact in our experience, s&s suffers from a plague of wait staff better suited for working being a fast food counter and not in front of it. Oh, and when we asked for the manager, he never showed up. The corporate owners of this location must intervene here. Go to five guys down the block. (Albeit no chilli)

The burgers here are very good but you may want to check the caloric content before you order. If you go through the drive through check your order before pulling away. Also the menu is larger than the one shown in the drive through.

Food is what you would expect from Steak N Shake. There's a time & place for Steak N Shake... This location consistently disappoints - wait time for food (inside and drive thru) is always waaaaay too long. Doesn't matter what day of the week, time of day, or time of year... Prepare to wait longer than it's worth.

    (2)
  • Rachel I.

You get what you pay for here, so don't expect more than your usual fast food experience, and you won't be disappointed. The service when dining in can be a bit slow, but I won't complain too much, seeing as it is one of the few places open 24 hours in town. I recommend the Wisconsin Buttery Steakburger, which is obviously artery clogging (yet delicious), and don't forget a shake!

  • Stefan M.

The most important thing first: the breakfast is cheap and it tastes pretty good. At the very least, its better than ihop down the road (not sure if this is a compliment). It's greasy..... Everything! The food, the table, the menus, the salt shaker. Everything feels greasy and could use a good cleaning. Even my five year old asked "why do they never mop here?" - 'nuff said!

  • Victor K.

Wow 10 minutes standing while the manager and four staff discussed who was going to seat us. 10 more minutes for the server to get to the table. What in the world am I still doing here. Guess a promise to my kids is mor important than my blood pressure.

  • Amy W.

This establishment has went downhill fast. Don't go on Sunday. We stood at the entrance along with others for at least 1/2 hour before someone would even acknowledge us. The manager is clearing tables as slowly has possible. It was as if they wanted us to leave. It was weird and out of respect we waited but never again.

By far the worst restaurant in town. The only reason we occasionally visit this store is because the food is decent. The service is beyond horrible though! Waited in line for 15 minutes in the drive thru just to order food then another 20 minutes to get the food. Took over 35 minutes all in all. If you're looking for something quick DEFINITELY go somewhere else!! I'm surprised this place is still open!

READ THIS FIRST: It can be an excellent value but service is more often than not, very bad. We should also keep in mind that because the check is average here it is so low that the servers make next to nothing in tips. Hence in the quality of service, you get what you pay for. Either way the food is usually what you expect. Decent for what it is. It is great for families and kids. Off hours are best to make wait time normal or even quick. On a few of our visits, we have had a college kid named Conner as our server. He is one of those people that are an asset to any organization. On the other side of the coin, when we walked in today, we waited for a few minutes while two employees sat at the counter playing a video game on a mobile phone in front of us and a manager(Dave Mallow, sp?), who ignored us as well. Eventually a server cameout, greeted us and sat us. If I go to a Steak N Shake its definitely for the kids and I do with an open mind and don't let myself get upset about service. I I also think the Oktoberfest burger is the bomb.

If you've been to any other Steak N Shake, then you know what you're getting. Drive Thru or Dine In are your options. I prefer the onion rings to fries and the shakes are pretty darn good. My biggest gripe with this location is the service. I've been there a couple of times lately, and it take forever to get served and they make multiple mistakes. They need some operational improvement on their workforce all all should be good to go for this location.

We have been going to this location on our yearly vacations to Florida simply because we like the chain and its food, but this has to be the worst location I've ever been to. On this trip we went our first night in Naples around 9. When we walked in about five people were queued at the register waiting to pay. One couple gave up waiting and left cash. As usual at this location there seemed to be a lot of employees on break or leaving. One loud over stressed waitress was doing everything. When she seated us it was another five to ten minutes before we ordered and another fifteen to twenty before we got our food. The manager served our shakes and food, but wasn't getting the waitress, who had about ten tables of groups, anything she asked for. The manager told another employee to bus tables and he ignored her. When it came time for us to pay there was a woman waiting and she gave up as well and left cash on the table. We waited about fifteen minutes at the register because the manager had completely disappeared. The cooks just stared at us like we were stupid for waiting and three other tables formed a line behind us. We had no choice to leave cash as we only brought enough for a tip. Fortunately a brand new location opened in another place we frequently visit so we will never return to this location.

the food is good and i had been eating there for awhile until just recently when i ordered the chicken sandwich and it made me throw up everything for the rest of the day. i couldn't eat anything without throwing it up, so my main suggestion if you go would be to order anything besides this because the milkshakes and everything else are pretty good and the fact that they are open 24hrs is a plus for me.

Dine-in is nice, a real step up from a fast-food joint. Actual plates, thin-cut fries (yay for a high crispy-outside-to-bland-inside ratio), and tasty burgers, which are cooked after your order, never pre-prepared. If you get a shake... go for the regular size. The small is really, really, *really* small. Like, half the size of the regular. Not worth the savings of like 30 cents. Now, there's a downside here, too. Due to Steak-n-Shake not really being a fast-food place, the drive-through is sometimes really, really slow. I've waited in line as long as 20 minutes from joining the queue to driving off with my food. Additionally, drive-through orders get their drinks in a foam cup -- good at insulating the drink, but not environmentally friendly. So if that sort of thing matters, skip the drink. The best deal here is happy hour -- 2-4 (both AM and PM), shakes are 1/2 price. They also serve unlimited pancakes in the morning (6 AM to I think 11 PM) for $4.

We went on a Saturday which was crazy busy. Good for them but bad if you are hungry. Our server was very nice. She had a lot of tables but still made a point to check on our family. I love their chocolate chip cookies! A+
