Nikki sat us at a great outdoor table. From jersey so our expectations were high! She explained everything as this was our first time to Joey D's. Jersey Seaside Heights pizza was awesome thin crust not sweet. I had the chick parm. Don't like to adventure too far..but if a place gets chick parm right you know there is a lot more for next time. They nailed it! She had spaghetti and meatballs 5 stars as well. Top-off mixologists made great titos mixers and adjusted our big screen tv to the Irish Vs. long horns. Go Irish! Nikki was awesome, we finished...barely room and she suggested the homemade canolli. Delish we will be back!

Joey D's on Davis is a rather new location. See pics below. The place appears exceptionally clean. Since the majority of the Resturant is located outside and it is a huge bar area we do not consider this a good place for kids. We had the recommended loaded fries - fries with cheese and bacon. The fries were not done and the cheese not fully melted. They tasted rather bland. We also ordered Phillys since that was one of the items our waiter recommended. Thier Phillys are huge - 12" long loaded with meat. See pic below for app. 1/4 of one. They come with only meat and cheese. If you desire veggies they are extra - priced per item. The veggies are fresh. Though the bread was soft and the meat tasty the Phillys were also greasy. The bus boy began clearing our table before we even finished our meal? They weren't that crowded. There was no one waiting for our table. Unacceptable. So, although we had heard a lot of good things, our first and only visit was rather disappointing.

The food is outstanding and most dishes are enough for 2 meals AT LEAST! I love the chicken picatta and just can't order anything else. The pizza is also fabulous. Never turn away the bread, it's amazing.

Good Place, Good Food, Good Service. As good a Philly Cheese Steak as will you find anywhere South of Philly. Go and Enjoy. The music is a bit lame- digital rock- should play Golden Oldies.

Finally got a chance to try this place. Took them two years to open as a result of the permitting process. We chose to dine inside only because it was still hot and muggy outside. Ordered calamari as an appetizer. Very fresh and clean taste. Ordered five cheese and old traditional pizzas. Very good. Thin crust style. Restaurant is clean and booths are a nice size. Definitely a do-over.

Pizza is ok, it's definitely NY/NJ style like they say. Pretty weird place though. They don't serve cold subs after 1 PM even though they are on the menu and don't indicate it. What kind of stupid reason would you have for doing that?

Unique layout with a neighborhood bar feel. Great atmosphere and great pizza! Plenty of tv's surrounding a large outside bar. Very reasonably priced, fresh Italian food including pizza by the slice. Much better service than prior ownership and worth checking out.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
