Excellent shrimp, the bartender was very friendly and the taps were cold. I had the Reuben - fist size of wonderful beef, my lady had the pulled pork which was also very handsome and the BBQ sauce was perfect... We shall return!!

The best fried shrimp!! If you like your shrimp tender and not over cooked, try Alice Sweetwaters! You can get them flavored several different ways. The buffalo shrimp are really tasty. Smallish and quaint place with a Full bar - beer and liquor. Outside bar with room to eat outside as well as a bar there too. The food is delish every time we go. Just stay away from the beef tips - the only disappointment we've had, they were a bit odd.

A Friend and I decided to go to Naples for a little staycation this past weekend, and as I always do before any trip, I searched on yelp for good dinner restaurants. Not only did Sweetwaters Alice Bar & Grille come up on the list, it was one of the top places, so after reading through the reviews, I decided we would give it a try. Now when you get there, there are a few doors/entrances (I think I was told 3) that you could enter through. We entered through the outdoor Bar area in the back and had to ask how to get to the "hostess station" and were pointed in the direction of the indoor bar area and told to look for the redhead. While the hostess station wasn't really much of a hostess station more a sign that says "Please wait to be seated", we didn't see the redhead upon getting to said hostess station, but we did end up getting helped by another nice young lady who seated us. The redhead did eventually come out and was very cheery/friendly, and took our drink and appetizer orders. I will say the indoor dining area is a bit tight, we even joked with the waiters that the men liked going there b/c they often had a bum rubbed on their backs as the waitresses were trying to navigate around! Our Appetizer (Fried Calamari) came out right away and we devoured it. There wasn't really anything super special about it (i.e. special seasoning) but it was yummy all the same, just how I expect fried calamari to taste. For our entrees, my friend and I both go the ribs, with the sweet backed potato, that comes with butter and sugar. While I didn't really taste the sugar as much as I had wanted and the butter was in a little tub similar to what you'd get at say cracker barrel, the ribs and sauce were really good. Sasha (our waitress) even brought out extra sauce without us having to ask! The ribs were perfectly tender, but grilled just right on the outside and literally fell of the bone as I went in with my fork! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it! We didn't get dessert as we were too full, but I'm sure it would have been yummy. Overall we had an excellent experience, I love a good hostess/waitress staff it always makes dining out that much more enjoyable, and good ribs is NEVER a bad thing! So definitely try it out if your ever in Naples, it's not the fanciest of places, but if you are looking for good food at a good prices you will like it here.

We stopped in for lunch during the end of the tourist season. The entrance went in next to a table of diners and we awkwardly waited in the open doorway to be seated. There was no hostess station and really just a bit inconvenient to us and diners at the table next to the hot open doorway. The food was standard burger, fries and chicken breast fare. Nothing special for our party. Dinning room was extremely loud and service was slow. Not sure what all the hoopla and reviews were about unless it was just weekend partiers writing drunk reviews after a row of tequila shots. Nothing special here.

I had the Caribbean chicken and choked down three bites. The waiter never came back to ask how my meal was. Will not be back. Sorry yelpers. Even my husband agreed with his shrimp/crab salad sandwich.

found this place by serching my yelp mobile app. i was looking to have a good prime rib dinner AND THATS WHAT WE HAD. Probably the best rib dinner we ave had since we arrived in naples. a generous portion of tender , well seasoned, cooked medium, served with 2 sides. been there twice more since twice for prime rib and once for lunch. the grooper was good [a bit salty] and very fresh. my mates had other items and said they would also return to try other selections on the nice menu

Great spot for quick business lunch. Daily specials, including 10% off fresh shrimp your way on certain days. Fast, friendly service found us a table quickly and kept the iced teas full. Creamy chowder garnished with a fresh shrimp, blackened chicken on fresh greens and just five stars all around. In and out in under 40 minutes.

Had a seafood dinner here one night and really enjoyed things. The shrimp, grouper and oysters were very fresh, lightly battered and then fried up perfect. The service was also friendly and attentive. I will totally return on my next trip to Naples.

The food here is delicious. The prices are ridiculous. I only eat here in the summertime because they had the 50% off prices which made the prices fair. I called the other day and they are doing the summertime deal - but now only 25% off. Sad to say I won't be visiting here anytime soon again.

We discovered this cool looking restaurant by accident. It has a great atmosphere and a great wait staff. I just wish the food was equally good. I had the taco salad, which came with a cold taco shell and cold ground beef. The waitress corrected the cold beef quickly, but the pre-prepared shell remained greasy/soggy. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich which was gummy and very bland. Too bad !!! as this was a really neat place. I'd go back to drink & watch a football game or for cocktails on the deck with friends.

A great local spot-got the quesadilla and crabcakes, both were excellent. The lobster bisque also looked fantastic.

The best thing on the menu is the lobster blt with pineapple tartar sauce. Amazing sandwich! I never order anything else. My friend always gets the fish tacos and she says they are great. Cold draft beers and cool misters outside. This place is old FL 100% and I love it

Had the Sunday prime rib special. 16 oz for $22. Just OK, nothing great. Bit fatty for my taste.May give it another go next winter.

Super great grouper. Super un dog friendly. Super duper people friendly. Let me explain. We were on our way out of town, dogs in the car, and someone said if we wanted lunch we HAD to go here. We had a long drive ahead so a nice meal was in order. I checked yelp and saw there was a patio and thought that would work. We arrived, got out of the car with my two TINY chihuahuas (both in one bag over my shoulder) to find a man running out the door to say "I am sorry, no dogs." That was odd. Where did he come from. Anyway, we explained we were on the way out. He said, I would be happy to get you anything from the menu. I thought he was really really nice to do that. We ordered 2 grouper sammys (one fried/one blackened) a cup of bisque and 1 fry. The total was around $45. Wooo hooo. Quite a bit steep. One, the bisque sucked. Don't bother. Two, the sammys were huge and delish. I loved the blackened one. I hear this is the joint to get the grouper. I may grab a sandwich again and split it. One big 'wich and fries would have been enough and the price would have been better. Next time we will know.

Been a pretty regular customer for lunch over the years I can say the food is consistant and always good. great staff, very little turn over. My personal favorite is the grouper always fresh and real grouper.

  • John H.

Mmmm. Fish spread looks good. Pretty decent, the crab adds a sweetness to it. Got the cajun grouper caeser w/anchovies. Big hunk o fish cooked right. Little tabasco and it was perfect. Dressing was good, lots of parmesean cheese and fresh lettuce cut into bite size chunks. All these years just not an anchovy fan. Bob got a grouper sandwich, fried and it was huge as well. He stated it was good.

This is definitely a local spot. Yes, Alice Sweetwaters is in the middle of nowhere, but it is the hottest place ever to get some great seafood, and there is really nothing bad to say about it. Well sort of: It is in a trailer... But don't mistake the locale for quality-Sweetwater's is top notch. If you want possibly the greatest Lobster Bisque ever crafted by mankind you need to go here.

I actually like the outside bar the most. The restaurant is very cramped, but the service has always been great. The prices are reasonable. I only went for happy hour and the prices were very reasonable. I wouldn't bring kids or anyone who cannot fit in normal size chairs (not trying to be rude, just would want to save them any embarrassment).

Every time my family and I visit Naples we always make it a point to visit at least once to say hi to Sandy and Missy and eat oysters. They have fabulous bartenders that make the outside accommodations that much more enjoyable. I highly recommend going for lunch or dinner if you are looking to enjoy a meal outside with good company, it is definitely a comfortable and relaxing place to visit.

Relatively bland choices. I guess it's ok for a local pub. Service was ok.

Many seafood selections including gator nuggets. Friendly staff. Tasty food. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for gator, since I don't know many places that do it. I plan on going back.

My family and I have been coming to this restaurant during the spring months for several years now. We are originally from Wisconsin, so this place is everything a northerner could want: great seafood selections, a great outdoor patio and friendly service! However, our experience there last night left us questioning if we would return in the future. We arrived around 7:45pm and knew we wanted to sit on the patio to enjoy the beautiful Florida weather. When one of our party checked in to put our name in for a table he was greeted with an extremely grumpy and visibly displeased hostess. She had indicated it would be a 15 minute wait for a table inside or up to a 45 minute wait for a table outside. We were really in no rush so we said we would have a drink outside and wait for whatever option opened us first. As we were standing out there we noticed a table opened up and casually asked the hostess as she walked by us if that would be for us. She snapped back and said that it was for another group that she had already told us about. I have worked for the front of the house of a restaurant for many years and could not believe how rude she was to us. We continued to wait outside for 40 minutes for a table and had mentioned to the bartender that we had said we would even eat inside and that the 15 minute time estimate had long past. She thanked us for our patience and had mentioned that they were down a chef for the night and the kitchen was a little backed up. Again, we weren't in a hurry and completely understood. Shortly after that she sat us at a table outside. We ordered our food and it took almost 45 minutes to come out. Once again, we weren't in a hurry and we knew the food would be worth the wait. Once the food came out, one of our diner's steaks was cold. I had the lobster BLT, which in prior years had been fabulous, but this also was somewhat cold. Our diner sent his steak back, but I continued to eat my meal because at this point it was past 9:30pm and I was starving. Our dining group was really laid back and we weren't looking for any freebies, but we felt a round of drinks or desserts on the house would have been appropriate. Between the grumpy hostess, long wait and cold food, I know a kind gesture of something small like that would have gone a long way with our group. Hopefully the kitchen issue and crabby front of the house get figured out soon so others don't have the same experience as we did.

This by far is the greatest seafood place we have ever been too. Consistently they deliver with great food. The grouper is the bomb.com . The fried shrimp is the best we have ever eating. In fact we visit Naples not to see family but to go to Alice's. If you re in Marco or Naples come and enjoy this place. You will not be disappointed.

We really enjoy the food here. Not your typical bar food, great beef, seafood, just about anything. Try the grouper fish n chips if your a fish n chips fan. It's a little different than your usual made with cod. It my favorite. Clam chowder is also decent.

Just saw the outside but it is nice and surrounded by Palm trees. I order the chicken salad and it was large and very good. The double brew their ice tea so that was wonderful

Great food, great drinks, great atmosphere, but the service was less than great. I'm not going to punish the place for what my have just been an employee having a bad day.

The perfect place to go when you simply want to be comfortable without making the restaurant experience a big deal. I usually order exactly the same thing every time I go. Fried Shrimp platter. The gulf shrimp are cooked to perfection, not overly breaded. The platter wouldn't be complete without sweet potato fries. And to top it off, a Bombay Sapphire martini straight up with olives. What else could a person ask for.

Dinner in Naples? Yeah - go hit Alice Sweetwater's. I'm not a seafood guy, but they are well known for their ocean-going fare. I've eaten there several times over the past many years, and each time it's very, very good. I recall their salads being excellent. Seeing one the other day validated that recollection. This last time, I decided to get the BBQ pork sandwich. I had a hankerin' for some BBQ, and I remember a dinner a few years ago of BBQ ribs that were so good. The BBQ pork sandwich had me concerned when it was delivered. Honestly, it looked like it slopped right out of a cat food can onto a bun. I was mortified, but only slightly. I assumed it was the side-effect of a "scoop" being used to build the sandwich. After using my fork to "fluff it up" a bit, it looked better. One bite into it, my fears were eased. The pork had the flavor you'd expect. I did notice that BBQ sauce was sparse, but our waitress was more than happy to bring a side of it by - the sauce is SO good! I slathered the sauce on the sandwich, but I didn't stop there. Their cole slaw is pretty good, and even better when put on the sandwich! The fried were fresh and tasty. No complaints there. The atmosphere is in tune with the "fisherman" décor of the Naples area. The service was great. This is a must-stop when in town.

The lobster Reuben is incredible. The pineapple and chipotle mayo complement each other beautifully. Amazing service and great food, this place is a gem.

I ordered grouper sandwich, fish tacos, oysters rockefeller. Fish tacos were simple and tasty. Grouper sandwich was very good. Oysters Rockefeller were ok. Very different then I have had before. Service was excellent. Lunch was 65 dollars for 2.

This has become a regular stop for us. The grouper sandwich is awesome! Convenient location with a generous menu. Today was quiet as a result of the July 4th holiday but usually see a steady flow of diners.

Cannot fault a place that prides itself in offering very fresh anything. Here it is shrimp - dusted and fried in either traditional or cajun spice. My friend had mussels. The meaty yellow darlings were swimming in a buttery wine sauce. Lunch was really, really good. I heard that breakfast is the same - I'll have to return just to be sure!

Food and atmosphere are cheap and tasteless. Not at all worth the 4-star rating, but the staff is friendly.

I've been coming here for years whenever my family would vacation in Naples. My mom swears by the pork tenderloin sandwich and my dad by the fried grouper sandwich. I started with the lobster bisque and it was rich and creamy and everything I hoped it would be. I then had the grouper Reuben which was a fun mix of flavors. There's a very friendly vibe in the place and if it's not quite mind-blowing, it's at least consistent.

Walked into the back patio to eat, and the bartender/waitress took about 10 minutes to take our drink orders (place was not busy by any means). I proceeded to ask if there was any drink specials and got an immediate "No" and she walked away. Staff is garbage and food menu was generic and unappealing. Not to mention it smelled like an ashtray. Do not be tempted by the packed parking lot at night, it's mostly a local hangout for blue hairs who's taste buds couldn't tell the difference between a gator bite and a dog turd.

Consistently good food. When the weather is nice the outdoor seating is great. Their clam chowder is delicious and they have great specials. My favorite is the swordfish Caesar salad when they have it.

We tried Alice Sweetwater's on our last night in Naples. We got there about 8 on a Friday night but were given a wait time of 30 minutes. We got some drinks and sat outside to wait. The "thing" buzzed in about 10 minutes and we were led to a fairly small booth near the door, which wasn't ideal but didn't pose a problem because the food was so good. Since it was so late, we decided to eat "light". I got a bowl of the lobster bisque and my wife got a bowl of the seafood chowder. Then we split the grouper fish & chips. The bisque was the best I've had outside of Boston. Most places you go give you thick, clotted bisque that you have to cut with an almost equal amount of hot water to thin it out like a real bisque. Their bisque was on the thin side and VERY rich and creamy, just the way I like it. The seafood chowder my wife got was also very good. I finished it after licking out the bowl my bisque came in. It has an added flavor that I haven't tasted in a seafood chowder before. It reminded me as if someone put bacon in the recipe. Who knows, maybe they did. The grouper fish & chips was excellent. It was very lightly breaded and cut into strips of a manageable size. Everything was hot and delicious. Our waiter was great too. My sister-in-law got the fish tacos. I didn't taste them but she enjoyed them. Interestingly, she asked for cole slaw but was told it wasn't a side you could get for the fish tacos, even though it listed it on the menu. Waiter said it was because the menus were made incorrectly or something. That was the only blemish on the dinner. There are so many positive reviews about the food, I hope to return to try ot

Went after enjoying the beach and needed somewhere to eat before driving back home - I ordered the chili beans with a tuna salad and my gf ordered the special that night - lobster tail with crab stuffing and the lobster bisque. 1. The chili beans weren't seasoned too well. 2. The head of lettuce that I received with the tuna on top was your run-of-the-mill bar food. Nothing too special. 3. According to my gf, my the special was a 6.5 out of then. 4. The lobster bisque was creamy and rich - GF approved.

Been going there for years when I visit Naples. Love the neighborhood feel to the place and the grouper and chips is the best ever! Hard to get a large group but for two or four people, great place to have a drink and shrimp or fish.

Second time. Back again. Last time some one had the grouper fish and chips$15.95 and raved about it.

The food was great. The kids lived their meals. Chicken finger kids portion was large and a 10yr old girl couldn't finish it- it cane with fries as well. My 12yr old nephew had the fried calamari app for lunch and they were well cooked and not overly greasy. I had the crab cake app for a lite lunch and it wasn't enough for me. Their prices are a little high for lunch I thought. Everything I wanted was around $15. This is why I went with an appetizer. I would come back again.

Great waitstaff. Large portions of food. I ordered the nacho mama and it was huge! I think 4 people could have easily stuffed themselves on it. The hubs got a grouper sandwich which was also very large and tasty. Cozy atmosphere.

Loved the food here. My husband had the tuna melt and I had the lobster BLT and it was great. The lobster was sweet and tender. If you love lobster you will love this one. The gentleman next to us ordered the prime rib and it was huge and looked delicious.

We have eaten here many times and love the grouper sandwich. Have had excellent service but last night did not. Ordered a Tanqueray gin on the rocks with an olive. Got a gin and tonic with a lime and an olive. The waitress (rudely) insisted it was not gin and tonic and would NOT back down or accommodate in any way. This is the second time we did not get the drink we ordered. The other time it was some inferior brand of gin. Have loved the food and atmosphere but you might want to watch the bartender if you order a drink.

Super yummy lobster bisque. Nice patio seating. BBQ bacon wrapped shrimp skewers & stuffed mushroom caps also very tasty. Very relaxed atmosphere.

Had a wonderful experience this last week with my wife. The service was extremely friendly, laid back, and very attentive. A great place to get a drink and have a relaxing time. The Decor was amazing, reminiscent of a true Florida establishment. The Burger and Clam chowder were wonderful. Highly recommended.

Yep it's true!! These guys just won an award for Best sandwich in America. I had try it! The Lobster Reuben was a amazing. They also have great daily specials. If your in Naples stop by you won't be disappointed.

Great local food- mellow atmosphere but definitely "Naples" prices. They have small portions for the price but everything tastes very good. Lobster bisque, grouper sandwich and gator nuggets are great. Don't recommend sitting outside due to the cigarette smoke- otherwise it would be nice to sit outside

Pretty Bleh... Noisy crowded inside, and outside the fans are blowing so hard that instead of eating my dinner I kept eating my hair. No where to avoid it. Food was average and expensive for bar food.
