Incredible Edible Cakes

This is, by far, some of the best cake I have ever had. Seriously. It's worth it to order from them for special occasions just because of the way the cake tastes. If you're anywhere near the Eustis area and want a special occasion cake, this is the place to go. We had ordered our wedding cake from here, and we had a vague idea of what we wanted. We were presented with a lot of samples of different cakes, fillings and frostings, and talked about mixing and matching the flavors as we chatted about some design thoughts. Since we weren't set on just one design thought, the owner helped us visualize a few ideas and settle on a cake design that suited us. On the day of, the cake was there and set up with time to spare; it looked really good and tasted even better. I don't think I have ever heard so many positive comments about a wedding cake in my entire life. Needless to say, we brought home leftovers, which I shared with some of my friends that I couldn't afford to invite to the wedding, and they all raved about the tasty cake.

Helpful and friendly, service oriented owners with a beautiful home and grounds. Kim & Soren took care of every need, catered breakfast to our personal desires and the Canary Suite was JUST PERFECT for the two of us to catch up on a little R&R. The house is very clean, has everything you need, including a lovely screened porch right off our suite and we loved the location. Everything is nearby but it is a few blocks away from the downtown which we enjoyed. Saw Cardinals and Blue Jays every day right out our windows! Bed & bath linens are along the finer lines and queen bed is very comfortable. We are a bit snobby in that way but it was superb to find such nice amenities! We really recommend this B & B and while you are here, grab some FAB Cuban at Copacabana and Mexican at Fiesta Grande Mexican Grill. Good value and very good food! (NOTE: the stove in the room does not work but they are clear about that if you read carefully. We stashed a few goodies in the fridge and the microwave and little kitchenette met all our needs! They were even so helpful as the microwave did not make the water hot enough for my husband's tea but they took care of it in the 'big' kitchen downstairs!)

Stayed here with my boyfriend for only one night but it was wonderful and we were sad we couldn't spend another night. The place is owned by Inez and her granddaughter, Shelby, who helps run the place. Both are so gracious and accommodating. The Inn is charming, clean and conveniently located by downtown and Rennigers (which is why we were there - for the Antique show). It's affordable and they were nice enough to work with us on their two-night required stay rule. (For festivals they require a two-night stay but we only came for one and since they weren't sold out, they didn't charge us the extra night). We loved our stay and highly recommend this bed & breakfast to others..really good people and we're happy to support their business. We'll be back to Mt Dora for another festival and definitely staying here.

I was organizing an event and several people from my group stayed at the Magnolia Inn. I was there for 5 nights and can't get over how wonderful Lucy was. She was helpful, patient, attentive, but not intrusive. The decor is lovely--everything I would expect from a B&B and then some! The downstairs area is great because it's so spacious, and there is a lot of room for people to spread out. I really enjoyed my time there. It was my first time at a B&B. I would love to come back.

Mr Cebiche

Reviews:
This place is great! The food was excellent, the location is really nice (overlooking downtown MD), and the service was very good. I had the Mixto Limeño, which was very fresh, tart, herbaceous, and just all around delicious (see picture). I had the avocado bowl salad as an app, which was also tasty. My gf got the skirt steak and pesto pasta, which featured a great-sized piece of tender skirt steak with yum pesto. As a really nice touch, the chef personally came out to speak with us and ensure everything was up to par. If you've never been to Mr. Cebiche, you should definitely give it a try!
Wonderful menu, warm comfortable atmosphere and very friendly staff/chef. My first time trying Peruvian cuisine and enjoyed it very much. I will definitely be back!
The food here is crazy delicious. The serving technique and banter has a very loving South American style. It's not Olive Garden, so don't expect a speedy refill of your water with lemon. I came here to review the one negative review where the reviewer mentions that his wife is a vegetarian. You shouldn't be allowed to allocate stars, post reviews, or otherwise be present on the Internet if you preface a review of a South American restaurant with any mention of vegetarianism. I went to the music show at the rock and roll place, but my wife, who is deaf thought the beat was a bit wonky. This is my review.

Love this place!!! Wish I lived nearby! I had the vitality "burger" with coleslaw and it was really amazing!
My family and I were visiting Wekiva Springs and decided to stop in Mount Dora for lunch. I whipped out my Yelp app and found this little place. It wasn't hard to find and the ambiance and venue is VERY nice and relaxing. Now, the food was pretty good. The menu, not overwhelming but informative. My mom and I ordered the 'burgers' with portabella mushrooms and onion 'bread' while my dad ordered the 'lasagna'. One thing that was amazing was the home-made ginger ale. It had some really great kick to it and was amazing to have! My father says the lasagna should've been served hot. We were informed that heating the food would 'kill the food'. The 'burgers' were... Pretty good, though I felt like I was eating a salad between sandwich wraps. They were as advertised though and quite tasty. I must say though, I am a strong meat lover. I don't think I could live without chicken, pork and other beloved meats, so this was an experience. I would come here again if I were a vegetarian or a vegan but as a meat-lover, I feel like I need to eat some good, fried chicken afterwards.
I would give VB 10 stars if I could! Although I don't live near Mount Dora, I have family there, so I am fortunate enough to visit several times a year. The food here is of the highest quality....hence the price. I feel it is totally worth it. I am vegan but do not adhere strictly to a raw diet; I do love it when available. My recent visit was for lunch. We started out with two of the Vitality Green Smoothies. Now, I make green smoothies every day at home, and these are just crazy good....maybe the homemade almond milk is the key! Super smooth and creamy. On this day, they asked if the smoothies could be made with mango rather than pineapple, which is my preference anyway. I ordered the Pad Thai.....fresh beyond words, delicious red chili sauce, just perfect. The lunch portion was plenty, and it was accompanied by a side salad of fresh greens. My husband had the Rawsiago Sandwich, which he loves. The onion "bread" is a favorite of his. If I lived closer (and hope to someday) I would possibly go broke eating here. I love the atmosphere & enjoy bringing non-vegans to taste the good life. If you've never sampled true, high quality vegan food, please give Vitality Bistro a go! They will prepare a healthy, energizing, memorable meal, I assure you.

The Wine Den

Reviews:
We love coming here. The first Friday of every month they have a special wine tasting or wine stroll through the town. So much fun! Great, small, family-run business
What do you do on a HOT afternoon...well, you go to a wine bar! I had seen this little place before so I decided to see what the street was blocked off for...Seems The Wine Den has "Yappy Hour" every 3rd Friday of the month, owners can bring their doggies in and a percentage of the proceeds are donated to the Humane Society...and it's become THE spot to go to in Mt. Dora! PizzAmore caters the event with FREE pizza. A guitarist helped set the mood for the event. I got there early (imagine that) so they were busy setting up for the event and the owner Christine greeted me warmly. She suggested a Cab/Merlot blend with a great blackberry/oaky finish, sorry I don't remember the vintage. Pours here are generous (avg. $8). The Wine Den is cozy, with seating for perhaps 25...within 15 minutes the place was packed with pooches! What Fun! Nice wine selection and Christina's warm personality makes this place a winner.
Love the Wine Den. A good selection of wines and surprisingly some interesting, great bottled beers as well. It is pretty small but that adds to the charm. We can't wait to go back!

Its your typical frozen yogurt place. But it also has frozen custard and sorbets. Has your typical toppings, but what gave this place the 5th start was the crushed up Reece's and the loyalty program. I am looking forward to visiting again
Typical serve yourself Froyo bar. A clean store, fresh ingredients and competitive pricing makes this a great stop if you have a hankering for yogurt. The location rocks too, as it is on 441 and 40.
One of my favorite places to get a treat. Love the variety of flavors and toppings. Clean. Friendly staff.

Five Guys Burgers and Fries

19009 US Hwy 441
Mount Dora, 32757
Reviews:
For those of us living in the Non-Villages parts of Lake County, we often get passed over when it comes to new quality restaurants. So when we get a new hip restaurant like Five Guys, we need to keep supporting it so it doesn't get boarded up like so many past restaurants and stores have. I've eaten here several times since it opened and have never been disappointed. Is this the best Five guys I've ever been too? No. But it beats the heck out of all the fast-food alternatives here, and it's more consistent than a lot of other places in the area. Tips for the cost-conscious: Get carry-out, bring the food along with your own drinks from home to the park, a regular size fry can feed 2 adults and a small child, if you have a kid, grab a $1 burger from Mcdonalds on the way there (your kid will be just as happy). Follow these tips and a family of 3 can enjoy 5 Guys in the park for under $20.
Very impressed with this location... great service,- nice employees - great food, close to my house.
Best burgers around. Reminds me of Scotty's Drive-in from my childhood.
