Yeah! It's sooooo true! This is my #1 Pizza joint and this is the BEST Pizza in all of south Florida and probably all of Florida. This is the closest to NYC pizza that there is outside of NYC and I'm from Queens, New York. The Pizza-Amazing, large slices, cheesy saucy. The decor-Italian-New York-style. The service-friendly. **Note: If you are dating a New Yorker or want to check out what New York pizza is all about then this IS the Place to COME. So, check it...I ordered the pizza pie 1/2 peperoni 1/2 cheese and it was Crazy dope and flavorful. the garlic rolls are nice garlic-y tasting!!!! I tell everyone about this place even the people that I Can't stand...it's that GOOD!!!!

This neighborhood store has been serving Miramar and nearby locations for decades. Quality ingredients and skilled pizza makers are the key to success.

I just ate here never again they are Cubans not real Italians running the show the food is nasty . When I walked in the place had a funny smell like Cuban food not very nice . So I will never eat here again take it from a real Italian . The place is small the people are very unfriendly

Not to be confused with Anthony's Coal Fire Pizza - I dare to say they are even better than Anthony's Coal but without the variety of toppings. It's a small location located inside a plaza. They offer dine-in or take-out with a $10 minimum charge on your credit card. Our take-out was an average waiting period of 20 minutes. We ordered a medium 14" Deluxe pizza which includes extra cheese, pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, green peppers and onions. This New York style pizza had the perfect amount of sauce (non-sweet) & cheese. The 6 for $2.50 garlic rolls were just right, not saturated in grease. This is my second visit, and I no longer see myself ordering from any franchise business. I'm not a pizza connoisseur but if I'm ever in the mood for it again I will continue ordering from Antonio's from here on out.

Best pizza I've had in South Florida. The prices are good and the sizes are huge. They serve New York-style pizza. The best so far is the deluxe. Awesome combination of pepperoni, sausage, onions, mushroom and green peppers. They don't deliver :(

The pizza was amazing! My 5 year old who hardly eats pizza because she doesn't like it much, had 2 slices and loved it!

Love Antonio's! It's a family owned business, and they make really good pizza. It's the first place I tried pizza in South Florida, and it was awhile before I found anything else that was even close to the quality of the pizza here. Hubby likes their steak sandwiches and the pasta with meat sauce. Since I am a pizza freak, I still haven't tried the other things on the menu. Since it "ain't broke," I don't intend on "fixing" it. There are a few drawbacks to Antonio's. Sunday is a big one for me, as I am frequently in the mood for pizza on Sunday, but they don't open until 2:00. By then we are already pigging out and having some chilly ones watching the game...so later than 2 doesn't quite work for us. Also, they don't deliver. I can't say how many times we would have ordered delivery from these guys if they had delivery. Same is true for our parents, also big fans of Antonio's. Another thing is that paying with credit seems like a production here. Maybe this has changed over the years, but after a few headaches, I just decided not to hassle it with them anymore, and stick to cash. We have only eaten in the restaurant once, but I wouldn't recommend it. It's a bit cluttered and hectic. Now if you like that sort of eating environment, this could be a huge plus for you. Rock on! Service is pretty good at Antonio's. They are friendly, and I don't remember them ever getting an order wrong. The food is consistently fresh and delicious. Sometimes I have to wait for my pie, but not like another place I will not mention here. When I phone my order in, they give me a number to tell them to pick up my order. I kind of like this because when I give my name, nine out of ten people call me Pamela, and the other one calls me TuhMELluh. LOL

This place cannot be missed if you're in the area and craving some good Italian food. I stopped over to pick up some dinner for the family. I ordered a small calzone with onions for my mom, a medium cheese pizza, garlic rolls and a cheese manicotti. Everything was delicious! I love pizza that doesn't taste like it was overlooked or burnt like some places. It also wasn't as greasy either. If you're in the area be sure to stop by and try for yourself!

This place is the real deal! The food is really good. They are all Italian making the pizza and the service is really good. Pizza is made from scratch. Take out or dine in only no delivery. The place is a bit run down if not I would have given 5 stars.

My job orders from there frequently and also does my family at home... We just love their pizza and all of their entrees! This spot is just the best.. My fav?!! A Sicilian with veggies (tomatoes, onions, peppers and maybe some spinach) .. Amazing!!!! Veggies are so crunchy and comes out great every time :-)

Grew up near this pizzeria, and moved a while ago, never been able to find a place with better pizza or garlic knots! Will be visiting family soon, I'm definitely gonna have to make a stop here!

This is the best pizza joint ever! I order a large for about $15 it's definitely worth it! Located in the publix plaza at the end. They're friendly and fast.

  • A L.

Best pizza I've ever had, including legit pizza in Brooklyn. It's the fold over by the slice kind. Freaking delicious. After moving from Florida, I talked for years about Antonio's to the hubs -- we recently made a trip down and I dragged him there. Did not disappoint, even after 10 years. Number #1 pizza in the world.

  • Samara B.

I wish I had a good review for this place as I read some really great ones and wanted to give them a shot. The pizza was bland. It barely had cheese on it and it was crispy borderline burnt. I think they are riding the coat tails of their past reviews. They need to put more effort into their Pizza because currently it's really lacking.

    (1)
  • Eric S.

Antonio's is great. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars from me is because you DO have to douse the grease off the top of the pizza. I suppose that is also what makes it so endearing. And I keep going back. But you should know this going in. It's saturated. That said, the pizza cannot be beat. I wasn't overly impressed with the garlic knots, though. Maybe I should dip them in something next time. Get the pepperoni or sausage and onion or plain cheese. Then close your eyes, and imagine NYC. You are there. One other thing, This place is really only for takeout. Though you CAN eat in-house, but It's pretty small and when I've been there, it's crazy loud. I take it home and watch a great TV show in the comfort of my sofa.

  • Alessandra M.

My husband is from NY and says this is the closest thing to NY pizza in Miami. They are always very friendly and quick. The pizza is always fresh and tastes great.I wish they would add delivery but it's worth driving and picking up.

Went here last night and I was really underwhelmed. I am only in south Florida twice a year. Between that and how healthy I like to try to eat, this place was on my to eat list. I don't think so anymore. I think they might have just had an off night. It was thirty minutes before closing so maybe the already bagged it for the night. Ordered two slices, some rolls and a water. Wished I would have ordered just the water. I try not to waste money or calories and this place on this night was a waste of both. I still give this place 3 just for passed performance. Glad it wasn't my 1st time because this was definitely a one star night here. Not sure this place will stay on my to eat list when I am in town.

Best NY style Pizza outside of NY. Careful, you won't be able to enjoy another pizza joint in FL after this.

  • Michael C.

The OG pizzeria of east Miramar. Cash only, definitely one of the better neighborhood pizza joints in the South Florida area, and probably the best within a 10 mile radius (except for Mauros after 11 PM).

  • Yaxel C.

Working saturday around the stadium so i checked this place out. Good pizza!! Had a pepperoni and cheese pie, only ate a few slices and the rest took it back home. Mom loved it and she is a picky pizza eater. Great pizza. CASH ONLY!!

Great little pizza shop with very affordable prices. Delicious pasta sauce and great pizza.

  • Barney C.

This is one of those places- You walk inside and feel like you're in New York! No matter how the neighborhood changes, the guys who run the joint stay the same, for almost 40 years. Oh yeah, and they nail the pizza, it's awesome. All those little storefront guys who will be around for a year or two, using crappy ingredients, charging an undeserved premium over Domino's- they should come to Antonio's to see how it's done.

  • James O.

Let's be honest the best pizza in the US is in NY, if you don't agree.... It's because you just don't know. There is a place in Orlando that u found comes close, so trust me when I say in South Florida this is the best so far... :) Like most pizza if you buy it by the slice in house it taste better than getting a whole pie to take home, I guess it's because it hot a fresh.

I just cannot say enough nice things about the pizza here at Antonio's. They have a sicilian crust pizza that is outstanding. The regular round pie is delicious. There really are not a lot of these places left in South Florida. The pictures on the wall from all the teams they have sponsored over the years in baseball and other sports. They have had multiple reviews and stories run by the local newspapers in South Florida. You would think all this good press that their prices would be high, instead it couldn't be more affordable for a pizza. The large I believe is still under $12, are you kidding? Any mom n pop pizza joint these days is charging $15-$20 a pizza and some places even higher. You want some old school pizza that tastes truly Italian, run don't walk to Antonio's. Slices are still sold for less than $2. The fact they are affordable is just a bonus. I live down in Miami and make a point to drive thru the neighborhood about once every week or two so I can relive the good old days one slice at a time.

  • Nicole C.

This is the closest pizza to a New York slice and the best pizza in South Florida.

    (5)
  • Gary M.

THE BEST!!! This place really has the best pizza I've found here in South Florida! Love going to this place! I usually journey here once a month or more with friends/family and we all live 45 + mins away. It's never hard to convince someone who's been here with me to drive close to an hour for pizza. Someone who has not yet experianced it is often difficult to conviConsistent NY style pizza every time! Love it!!!

  • Amanda W.

I have been going here since I was a baby, almost 21 years now and the pizza is still the best! By far the best in South Florida. Although the neighborhood has changed over the years, the pizza remains constant and will forever hold the "old miramar" memories. However, the garlic rolls aren't the same as when I was little. They could use some improvement, unfortunately. This place will forever be the place to go for great pizza. I have and will continue to recommend Antonio's.

  • Curtis D.

It is my fervent belief that you can judge a place by whether or not local cops eat there. They're on the beat every day in the same neighborhoods, they know where to eat and I always seem to see them here. Delicious pizza and wonderful subs. Family owned and operated and they are always very friendly. They do charge if you want to use a card but it's worth it. Best pizza I've had outside of NYC.

This is by far the best pizza here in Florida compared to NY pizza. I ate here every week while I was pregnant. The staff is awesome

Great pizza! Has not changed in the 20 years I have enjoyed lunch there. If you are going for lunch during the week, get there a little early. Seats fill up quickly. Try the new baked wings! Very good!

  • Andreau H.

Ordered pepperoni pizza n garlic role ...was ok ,I have had better ....pizza was very very oily n roll were not soft but a bit too tight .....for all the good reviews I have read I would assume business is good .... I had to pay .99 cents extra to use my debit card and it also had to be over $20 ....this is just my opinion on the food I bought ,it was my first time there ....so please try it for yourself ....everyone taste is different ....

how can this have a pic but no review?! This was my childhood pizza place! It still serves great pizza and garlic rolls! Oh my! I recommend this pizzeria.

Went here about a month ago when we were at the Calder Race Track. We left the track hungry and craving some good pizza. Alas, my precious piccolo pizza is too far so I went to my trusty Yelp app and started sleuthing around. Decided to come here based on the reviews. Did not dissapoint:) Waited like 15 minutes for a freshly baked cheese pizza pie to take home. Ohhhh the torture of enduring the car ride home as the delicious aroma of cheese wafted around us. My mouth was watering so bad i could feel my eyeballs floating LOL. Wonderful thin crust, greasy cheese and just enough sweet tomato sauce. This is a great option folks, it's the real deal. Don't go fo pizza hut or dominoes and support a great family place like this one. They had pics on the wall of the sports teams they've sponsored and you feel at home here, even if it's a small place. Nice people, great pizza, good prices...no complaints:)

Just walked in and fill in love with the smell. If the pizza is half as good as it smells in here it's going to be fantastic

Great place for pizza and pasta! Always stop by when Im on the east side of Miramar. Pizza is always fresh, and the pasta is delicious... The pizza has a nice thin crispy crust, and a great cheese blend... Highly recommend the sausage as a topping! Cant wait for the second restaurant in Miramar Town Center..

When I was a youngster this place was the after school hang out. This is a now 15 year old review, but also a well deserved one. I love this place.

Best pizza place around. Period. Sausage as a topping is excellent. Stop by and grab a slice before heading into Publix!

Hello my name is Pat and I am at Antonio's Pizza my friend IVA invited me and Masha to come out to have dinner with her after this wonderful church service and since I have not had Italian food in such a long time we decided to come along. We ordered lasagna and garlic rolls salad on the side of course that comes with the meal the cost is very reasonable and the food was to die for.. our waitress, Marianna was super patien5 and courteous. Oh, and if you like left overs, we all had enough food for tomorrw. Good job Antonio!

  • Branzel B.

The Pizza is amazing and humongous. But what I don't like is the siZe of the restroom but that doesn't matter so don't waste your money on Domino's Pizza or Papa johns pizza Like I said their pizza is 10x bigger than the other pizzas and for the same price or even LOWER sure they're thin but they will indeed fill you up. I was completely satisfied. Now go eat over there and order a large pizza You'll be happy

    (4)
  • Patty G.

Yes, this Pizza is as good as it gets here in Miramar/Pines. The best I've found so far! I've been searching and searching but I think I shall search no more. At last I have found a pizza that I can love. I too lived in NY (long enough to make me adore NY style pizza) and agree that this place comes VERY close. They sell pizza by the slices too which is always convenient! Also tried their Chicken Parm sandwich... not what I had expected but then it's a PIZZERIA so I will stick with the PIZZA. :D I can't believe I JUST heard about Antonio's! I must be living under a rock!

    (5)
  • Edward K.

I must admit, I am spoiled by Antonio's pizza. Growing up in Miramar, this was the closest pizza place by the house. Mom and Dad used to bring it home and it was so good. Now that I'm older, there has not been a pizza slice that I have tried better than Antonio's. Pretty amazing that the first taste of pizza i've ever had was the best I've ever tasted.

    (5)
  • Allari D.

My favorite pizza! It's perfect. I always get a medium cheese to share. The garlic rolls are delicious. I even love the ice they use - they have perfectly crushed ice instead of full cubes. The staff is very attentive and fast. I have about 30 pizzerias closer to my house, but I don't mind driving a bit further for Antonio's.

    (5)
  • Eva M.

I went there back in the 1980's and loved the pizza. I have to drive by on the way to my doctor's office so I've been stopping and ordering the Ziti and meatballs with melted mozzarella cheese. I order the same thing every time. I love it. The side salad that comes with it is ok and the garlic rolls are good. I've brought home the meatball sub for my grandson with melted cheese and he loves it. The Italian waitress is my favorite. She's married to one of the owners and she's very friendly and nice. I don't know about it having New York Style Pizza, but I do know that the family is from Naples Italy. The family has another restaurant called LaFamiglia on Red Road and Hiatus in the western part of Miramar next to 24-Hour Fitness. They have the best Margarita Pizza I've ever had and I love their salad..

    (5)
  • Marc K.

I'm originally from NJ and this was classic NJ/NY style pizza. I can only attest to the plain but it was good. Nothing EXTRAORDINARY but also not terrible. Go there if you want straight up good pizza. Also cheap.

    (4)
  • Alfredo K.

I am not saying that my search for good pizza in the Miami area has ended with Antonio's Pizzeria. The dough is kind of weird, but I do have to say for a regular pizza it's ok. So they get 4 stars. The place does look like a NYC pizzeria and the sauce is pretty good. I want to try the rest of the menu so I guess that's a good thing. If you are in the area stop by, they are inside the same shopping center as a Publix. It's not a place you bring a date to, the decor is 1970s pizzeria. if you eat in the waitress has to serve you. The best thing is that they sell pizza by the slice..now that's very NYC. I shouldn't have to buy a whole pie just to dump it in the trash. Their prices are very affordable.

Best ny state pizza around. Went there As a kid & still tastes the same!!! You can't go wrong with real Italian food!!!!

    (5)
  • Latoya S.

I'm taking back my 4 star review because on my last visit I was completely turned off! The waitress had a cold and she was wiping the drip from her nose with her hand, OMG I was so turned off and she never went to wash her hands not one time the whole time I was sitting there waiting on my pizza, so I started looking around, you know noticing things, then I noticed the guy at the register was collecting money and making Pizza with his bare hands at the same dam time. Money is dirty! He took a customer's money, put it in the dirty register, and then stuck his hand in the bowl of cheese and scattered it all over the pizza, stuck it in the oven and then came back and took another order; next he left the register and swung some doe around still using his bare hands, Eeewh Gross. I never paid attention to details in here before this, but I took the whole pizza because the kids were waiting in the car hungry but I wasn't feeling it at all. The final straw came when as I was approaching my car I saw the same cashier come out the restaurant rolling the garbage can, I was parked right next to the big dumpster so I watched him and then I followed him back in pretending that I forgot something, but I really wanted to see if he was going to wash his hands after dealing with the garbage, and just as I suspected he went right back behind the counter and started making Pizza. It a Wrap!!!! And I'm so sorry too because there Pizza is really really good, actually the best in the area.

Great Pizza Great Service !!! Just 1 Complaint !! Wish they would deliver !! Not to many place in Miramar to order from !!

    (5)
  • Tirzah B.

The pizza is really good, but the service is lacking. I called for a pick up and was hung up on before I got a chance to ask a question. Not so much as a goodbye or thank you. I enjoy the food, but being in the service industry, customer service is important as well.

    (2)
  • Christine W.

Yummy pizza and garlic rolls. Their regular pizza crust is just right for me. Not too thick and not too thin. Great place to feed a pizza craving! My only complaint is that the service could be friendlier.

    (4)
  • Tia W.

Best slice that I've had since moving to Miami! Calzones are amazing as well. Definitely worth the drive.

    (5)
  • Phillip P.

Best pizza joint in the area. Visit at least once a week. A lot of others claim to be New York style, this is New York pizza. You will not be disappointed.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
