A serious restaurant in Destin/Sandestin. Have been frequenting this restaurant since it opened in Baytowne Wharf which it outgrew years ago. Through two wonderful owners it became much better than where it was. Now right outside the gates of Sandestin and no longer plagued by the fictitious fees and taxes supporting the developer, this restaurant shines and brightly! Everything is right, the design, staff, bar and especially the food. Have never had a meal that wasn't superior to any other restaurant within 10 miles. It's just all good. Price for product is right on the point and atmosphere in or outdoors only enhances the total experience. If you are looking for a fine dining experience and not expecting chain restaurant or tourist prices ....there are only two around Sandestin....Bistro Bijou and Seagar's at the Hilton. And for the buck...there are no better two.
Lovely ambiance. Chef Jack is superb -- delicious dishes, desserts and great wine list. I would recommend and return.
This was our first trip since they moved into their new space. It is very tastefully decorated with plenty of dining spaces that can accommodate anything from an intimate seating for 2 to much larger parties. They have a private room that can be reserved for groups of 12 or less that has a glass window looking into their wine cellar. Again, very tastefully decorated. And all this just enhances the amazing and well prepared food options! I had the Grouper Almandine which was wonderful and my husband had the Pork Chop that had amazing flavor. It was a nice, very thick, bone-in cut. Dessert was a very yummy peach cobbler. Our server, Melissa, was very good, well informed and passionate about her work. On top of her friendliness and professionalism, she also was able to answer our questions regarding the wine list and had more than just a cursory knowledge of the wines. Overall, a GREAT culinary experience and one that I highly recommend!!

Excellent! Great food and even better service. Shrimp and grits were the best I have ever had at server's recommendation. Will come here every time I am in town.
A friend who lives in the area took us there for dinner on a Tuesday evening. We were warmly greeted and seated. The waiter was friendly and helpful. The wine served my wife and our friend was just perfect. None for me the driver. My wife and our friend had the special catch of the day which they both enjoyed and noted it was very tasty. I had the griddled sea scallops. The scallops were done to perfection. The presentation of the dinners was outstanding. I did not give five stars because the prices are a bit on the high side. We will return.
Great fresh food & a good selection of wines by the glass. Had a nice lunch as I was passing through Destin.

I had Ice Cream here a few nights out of my most recent Destin trip. I think there is one of these in ATL but I never had checked it out before. I had the waffle cone with Chocolate fudge Ice Cream and though spendy at about $5 a pop for a single scoop, the cone was Huge, and the scoop was huge and well worth it. I ice cream is some of the best I have had. I also liked that there was a lot of staff on site and I did not have to wait for service. Knowing that they make fudge themselves, the choc fudge ice cream seemed like a no-brainer. I also tried the Mexican Cinnamon chocolate which was interesting. I'll for sure come back here, and will need to try the one in ATL soon.
Love their ice cream!! Toasted Coconut is the best! Served quickly and friendly. They are generous with samples, and are knowledgeable about their product. Great place for some great ice cream
A good old fashion fudge and ice cream shop in destin. It has that old school feel. I have sampled multiple items and have never been disappointed. The lines can be long during the busy seasons so get there early! Also the prices are a little higher than other shops but for a place in a vacation spot they are reasonable. Also they make the fudge on location for customers to see....

Found this restaurant using yelp. Very well decorated restaurant. I tried the shrimp bisque soup and it was great. Also waitress suggested putting blackened shrimp on the Small plate(appetizer) Baby Portabella Mushroom Ragu. That was perfect. And I ended up having that as my main course sense so filling. Thank you, will be back. Thank you Michelle, Server, for recommendation and perfect dinner.
I have absolutely nothing negative to say about our lunch. Great food , good service, nice atmosphere and decent prices. I got the shrimp massina and my husband got the chicken scaloppine and we both enjoyed a Caesar salad. I gave my husband a bite of mine so he let me try his.. I told him it was delicious ...he replied " you can like it but don't make your home here". I had never heard that before...he said it means " get your fork off my plate you can't have it".! Lol. That's ok because mine was Divine !!
What a wonderful wonderful meal, and I am sad I waited so long to review it. Came here while on vacation with my husband for our year anniversary. The ambiance is beautiful. Dim lighting, hopping bar area, comfy booths. The yelp check in free Italian nachos were delicious. All the food we ordered was absolutely perfect. We got a tiramisu cake that was fantastiic that night and ever better the next night. Every bit of my meal had me oowing and aahing. Only wish I lived far far closer so I could visit again.

Best place in town for fresh seafood delivered with a smile by a goddess of the sea with beautiful piercing eyes that melted my heart like fresh drawn butter. With God as my witness I promise to her that I will always hold my steamed seafood in my lap so as not to jack up my truck. No sense going anywhere else for fresh seafood. Have them steam your shrimp there and just take it straight home for supper. Crank up the spice!
This is one of the places I miss most when I moved from the area and I make sure to visit as much as possible when I'm in town. They have a variety of different sizes of fresh shrimp that you can take home and prepare or they will steam it for you while you wait. As of now, 2014, the steam price is $2 for 3pds and under and $3 for 3pds and above. (Well worth the additional cost). You also can't go wrong with the grouper, tuna or whatever they have in that day. And don't forget to try the home made key lime pies, gumbo or corn chowder. And who can stop eating the tuna dip. I also always bring my cooler and stop by on my way out of town to stock up! But if you want to take the steamed shrimp home - it has to cool off before it goes into the cooler. The gumbo freezes well! Keep in mind - DON'T touch the shrimp or fresh fish and bring CASH or a check. NO CC! And if you are taking your time to figure out what you want - the next person will be helped until your ready or the line will go out the door. Keep it moving and get in and get out and try not to eat your shrimp while driving!
I went in looking for fresh grouper filets and they had exactly what I wanted. They had several other kinds of fresh fish including tuna, salmon, and shrimp. I had never bought fresh fish before so the price of the fish was high but it could be that way everywhere here. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is because the lady working the register was not too friendly. Other than that, this place is good.

I had to get just regular butter milk pancakes cause no choklate chips but everything else is good they allow you to bring a dog and even give it water
Can't find fault with this place. I've eaten at other Broken Eggs in Florida and not sure if this one is just better, or I just hit on a good day, but the food was really solid. Not amazing or anything, but just really good. Eggs Benedict was prepared quite well, eggs were perfectly poached, hollandaise was good and the seared slabs of Canadian bacon were a welcome change from the little discs of ham that usually sit underneath the eggs you find on most eggs bennies. My only gripe was that in places the hollandaise seemed to be replaced by, or gained the taste and consistency of, mayo. And that was a little off-putting. I also got the potatoes done Mediterranean style, with grilled onions and feta, and those are how all breakfast potatoes should be prepared.
Visiting a friend in the area, we were starving and decided to stop. Party of 3, we were seated immediately and the waitress was promptly taking our drink order. The decor was very nicely done, pleasing to the eye and appropriately beachy! The menu was filled with very pleasing varieties of breakfast/brunch choices, new and surprising combinations along with traditional favorites. We all happily filled our bellies and enjoyed our meal choices...the English muffin was a little heavy/chewy and I prefer mine a little lighter, but very good!

Awesome! Clean! Great service! Our waitress Cindy was superb!
This place rocks your socks. I try not to be too generous with my 5 stars but I do love this place. As we were driving into Destin from Mobile, AL. we kept passing signs for Waffle House. I am not particular to a diner but my gf is. She absolute refuses to eat a Golden Nuggets and others and Waffle House with its yellow lettering reminded me of a GN. I thought nothing of it until by necessity we were forced to loiter on the outskirts of Destin, FL at 4:30 AM. We figured as good a time as any for bfast and that quite fortunately led us to Waffle House. This place rocks. We went back 3 times in 3 days! The service is very friendly and speedy. Open kitchen so you can see them griddle your order fresh. Just like any other diner for bfast but the food is cheap, quick and easy. Loved ordering piecemeal bfast with sides and egg biscuit sammys and biscuits and gravy etc... my bfast personal bfast heaven. Normally you will not find bfast ranking this high ever from me but there is something about Waffle House that really rocked my world and I believe it will do you right as well.
This is easily the best Waffle House we have ever been to, and between myself and the Fiance, we have been to a LOT of WH's. The staff consists of a lot of young kids learning the art of customer service, and a couple if really patient and kind managers teaching them life skills. The place was calm, clean and pleasant - a world of difference from the drama of WHs in GA. Our food came out just right, our coffee was refilled as needed and everyone was just so darn nice. We even saw a manager comp an entire meal for a couple because she (the manager) felt their food took too long to come out. When she informed the teenage waitress not to charge for that meal, the poor girl's eyes widened as though she felt like she messed up. The manager let her know it wasn't her fault, that it was her own, and the girl breathed a sigh if relief. Kudos to the management for teaching these kids what true customer service means in a kind way - their attitudes transcend into a wonderful environment that I'm certain I will never experience at another Waffle House again.

Thai Elephant, Authentic Thai Cuisine

Reviews:
Let me first start off by saying that Thai Elephant has the best customer service ever. It was a Friday night and we came from Atlanta to Destin. We were famished. Since Thai Elephant wasn't far from the condo, we decided to eat there. We had a party of 10. It was 8:45 pm. It close at 9 pm. We asked the waiter was it okay for us to eat and order. He checked with the kitchen staff and they were fine with us sitting down and ordering. I was so happy because I didn't want to try to find another place to eat since we haven't eaten anything. Inside was decorated nicely. The menu had a variety of Thai dishes. I ordered my usual Drunken Noodles, Thai Hot. Let me tell you, it was Thai hot. I love it when I don't have to ask for more peppers in my plate. The flavors and spices were on point. My daughter got the Panang Shrimp and it was so yummy, I almost wanted us to trade. My daughter's friend's beef larb was a bit more liquidy than it's supposed to look, usually larb doesn't have any juices but she said it tasted good. My hubby had the Pad Thai, he said it was good but his shrimp should've been cooked more. My mom had Pad See U and was a little disappointed, she said it tasted better back home in Atlanta. I don't remember my brother and his family's dishes but they all enjoyed it. All I can say is I thought I had a great experience and would come back again. We stayed for a little over an hour and they never once tried to rush us to get out of there. I'm sticking to my 5 stars cause I had a great experience.
Excellent food! By far the best meal I've had in Destin. We ordered the spicy beef salad, pad Thai, chicken fried rice and a soup. Everything was perfectly seasoned and so fresh!! I will definitely return. I'm only sad that we didn't discover this hidden gem sooner!!
Bad experience, take out order was wrong food when I arrived at home, 15 miles away. When I called questioning the take out order, the person on the phone spent their entire conversation denying wrong order and trying to convince me that I ordered the wrong food. I have eaten there dozens of times and always order the same item. The restaurant was wrong but would not admit it, offering that if I drove 30 miles to change they would consider exchanging. I hung up, disgusted and will never go back, there are too many other Thai restaurants in the area. A restaurant should concentrate on correcting their errors rather than argue.

Really nice staff, hard to sometimes understand the cashier. The burgers were okay, fries were alright. I like in-n-out better. But I mean its a decent burger.
Pretty good burgers. They smash the patties while they are cooked. Same experience no matter which location. Heads up, the price is high: 3 burgers, 1 fry, 3 waters is 24$.
