Great place for lunch. Food knocks is down a notch but the atmosphere is killer. I knocked one down for food because it's a bit over priced for tater tots and processed cheese... I mean seriously?

Two stars for our server, she was super sweet and did a great job. The food, however, was not so great. I had chicken ceaser salad... the croutons were stale, hard as a rock. My friend ordered burger, medium, it came out almost raw. The view is nice... they need new tables. Very rickety and I was afraid my drink was going to spill the entire time. Seems more like a place to hang at the bar and have a few drinks.. not to expect a good meal.

I am a local and eat and drink here regularly. The staff is hit or miss. They can be very rude or sweet as pie depending on the day. I have never had an issue with my food but I stick to the wings and chicken fingers. The wait can be long but for me it is all worth it to spend time with friends and watch the sunset. Oh, and the people sitting on the benches next to the tables are the people waiting on a table. We usually order a pitcher at the bar and take it to the bench to wait. When a table opens up you move to the table or the next bench.

I live on the lake and the Tiki provides a place for us locals to hang out with our boats and have a good time. For such a tiny kitchen it puts out good food. A pitcher of beer is less than $6 bucks and equivalent to 5 mugs! The servers are super nice even though they have to split tips. See you on the lake!

Bad food, worse service, best view. This is a great place to see an amazing sunset! The servers are RUDE!!! And the food is BAD bar food. The selection of beer was minimal because they were out of stock of all the good stuff. It is a total dive bar with a great external atmosphere, but the servers were rude and it took forever to order and get our food because they were taking and drinking with one another.

WORST SERVICE EVER. WE WALKED OUT. We had no idea who was waiting for a table, who wasn't. It was chaos. Finally I find two seats at the bar. The lady near me (w/ her hubby) was waiting for a refill forever. She said the ditzy girls behind the bar were clueless. Yes. They were. Finally saw a young lady with the biggest sourpuss face I've ever seen come over and just stand in front of us. I asked if we could see menus she LITERALLY exhaled and said "food wait is 45 minutes" and walked away. So I still thought we would get menus to look at while we waited. I was excited because I heard they had THE BEST burger here. She never came back. NEVER EVEN ASKED IF WE WANTED DRINKS. Nothing. My husband said he wouldn't give them a dime so we left. I'll never go back. If they didn't have the lake, they would die for sure. NOTE to big breasted young ladies who work at bars and let their cleavage hang out (which is fine) just make sure you don't have bunch of veins and stretch marks hanging out too. Unappetizing.

The food came out fresh and hot. The wings were chewy and not crispy, but they were not bad. I would have gave more stars if they had a full bar not just beer, wine, and wine cooler type drinks. The view is beautiful. We ate at sunset. Our server was fantastic, came by every 5 minutes or so and very polite. The prices we fine for the food. The bottle beer was over priced. you could get a pitcher for .50 than a bottle beer. They do bring out bags of ice to keep pitchers cold at least. I would probably go back.

Great View, Good Burgers, $2 draft beers. Although the server was very friendly, took away 1 star for slow service.

Was there a month ago and will never go back. Food was terrible with burgers being over cooked and service was the worst I've had in Clermont. Server had the personality of a wet fish.

This place is a cool little gem. They have decent food, although nothing exceptional. I had a cheeseburger and fries. Cheeseburger was fat, juicy, and hand-pattied. Fries were crispy and perfect. They have good cheap beer and a cool bar. The real star is the breathtaking view out on the dock. Great place for a sunset!

I tell you the view at this place is amazing. The food is a little better then bar food however the service is terrible. No one knows where to wait for a seat or who is next. The waitress came to the table and told us she had to go to the bathroom twice so if we needed anything she had to get it now.....WTF? Who needs to know that? She was slow and just scatter brain. Tiki bar please get your servers together so people will keep coming!

On looking at the reviews you will notice that they are trending down from what was a strong 5 star rating. It's not shocking that it has gone that way. Not sure what happened to this once great jewel but, it's tarnished and is only getting worse. The food has been given a back seat to the beer or well the regulars who frankly make the place even less desirable to go to. Prices have gone up to a rate that makes no sense to anyone that knows food. Your portions and quality don't warranty such prices. Surely it's not the upkeep of the place. It's s Tiki Bar. Sad to say it just seems they are on that long long slide down.

Fellow Yelpers, This place may of been the hot hang out back in the day but really?!! Probably the worst experience of a restaurant I ever had in central Florida. This place is a shack that is supposed to be right on the water as well. Due to draught unfortunately it's hard to find the water. It really looks like a dried up Doc. They have burgers, and a few bar food items with def nothing to brag about. I have high expectations. I'm really surprised this joint is still in business. I won't be back. Don't waste your time

Love the TikiBar! Great beer and food. Beautiful view. Best of all, excellent servers. DON'T COME HERE! Leaves room for the rest of us!

Great place for wings, beer, and sunsets. It's the perfect spot in Clermont to stop for a while.

My girlfriend and I always end the weekend here with a few pitchers, some chicken fingers, and cheese fries. Though the fries could use some work (looks like they just throw slices of cheese on top of the fries, instead of melting it in and mixing it about), we always have a good time there. Great for meeting new people and having some fun in the water, or at the bar, or on the pier/deck. The wait staff is always extra friendly, and smiling! Definitely going to keep coming here!

  • Shellie J.

This place is only about the view, the ambiance and the regulars. Go if your looking for a Jimmy Buffet vibe. Don't go for the food. It's no better than fast food

I just posted a sunset picture from our most recent trip from Ohio. The Tiki bar is usually how we start out our long weekends. A nice relaxing dinner with the sunset and lake in the background. Relaxing atmosphere, good lake side service and don't miss the tater tots (not just for kids)!!

Dim-witted and inattentive bar staff. The worst service I have ever received. And they padded the drinks on the bill! That really doesn't work on someone who's only had one beer! Better to use that trick on the drunk shore rats. I thought it was odd that the guy before me left no tip on his tab, but I completely understand now.

If someone hadn't recommended this place to me I would have NO IDEA it existed. It's waaaay off the beaten path (aka US 27) in Minneola in a backyard behind some houses on the shore of Lake Minneola. Just finding it should be rewarding enough, and then you get your first frosty mug of $1 draft beer and a basket of "tiki tots" and you are truly in your Zen place. There aren't many tables so be prepared to hold your spot in line to wait for a table. We were there on a Saturday afternoon at 1pm and waited approx. 45 minutes for a table to open up. We enjoyed the aforementioned tots and beer, as well as burgers and wings. It's a very enjoyable afternoon.

I don't get the appeal of this place. It is always packed with people. I have tried this restaurant about 3 times now and last night was the final straw. We get there and it's a mad house as usual. They never have enough staff working and the bartenders are always young girls who are super rude to everyone. The locals that frequent this place always look extra "methy". So my husband waits at the bar for 10 minutes cash in hand wanting to order a beer and an appetizer. He is promptly ignored the entire time then some drunk chick who looked like she was in bad need of her Hep c vaccine stumbles up behind him and starts yelling "pitcher of Bud!!!" To which the bartender delivers within a minute passing the pitcher over us, still making sure to provide the least amount of service and hospitality imaginable. We walked out. The food is crap and overpriced, there is an up charge for EVERTHING, side of ranch? Yeah that's extra. Oh you want to dip some of your overpriced onion rings in something besides the warm ketchup that's been cooking on the table for about 3 months now? Well you gotta pay for that. So if you want to be treated like garbage while eating garbage while looking at a lake, then you've found the right place. If you are currently in possession of all your teeth and don't wear a wife beater or bikini top to social functions every day, then there are better option for you in clermont.

This spot is a great little hidden gem in Clermont. We came here after a race with some friends and enjoyed the waterfront seating. The service is good, but the beer and wine selection is poor. You definitely go here for the atmosphere -- a beachy, casual, inexpensive hangout with a view -- not the food or drinks. I'd have given it 2 stars if it weren't for the great waterfront view.

    (3)
  • JAG G.

If you want to pay $4.25 for a beer, over priced food, onion rings are $7.00, staff is rude, they think they have their customers by the short hairs because there is nothing else around, but good thing is that they won't get my business in the future; which they can charge someone else $27.59 for a six pack! Lilly's btw is slated to break ground in two months, a new task force has been created by the city to now bring more business to our lakefront.....then we will see how sick the town is of the Tiki taking advantage of their customers!

The Tiki Bar was referenced in our review of Lakeridge Winery so here is the companion piece. Wife loves the burgers here and I must confess that I have dragged her across the country on a burger taste quest. So her opinion is well grounded in experience. I will say that the onion rings are awesome and the wings are right up there too. The main attraction is being on a deck with a view of the lake. A friendly note of caution ... to call the restroom facilities "rustic" is being kind. All that aside, we do make this one of our stops when entertaining out-of-town guests. Service has always been efficient and friendly. Not a bad choice for an afternoon of food and relaxation.

First, I have heard how good the food is here since I've moved to Clermont ten plus years ago and have never been able to talk my husband into going there. He went once with his mother and hates plastic furniture and bad parking to the point he never wanted to go back. Finally his mother and I talked him into going. He wasn't entirely wrong: The parking is cramped and if it were a busier night, we wouldn't have made it in. You are sitting outside in a beautiful area, but it is on cheap, plastic lawn furniture and I don't think that they ever clean around the tables. Birds fly in, bugs drop by - yes, it is good luck (sometimes). It didn't help that it was particularly windy and cold this evening. I have to admit the beer was freezing (so was I) and very economically-priced. The burger was big, cheesy and beautiful - and yes, may have been the best burger that I have eaten in Minneola. The fries were salty, greasy perfection. I wasn't too wild about the additional protein from the flies and bugs but it is outdoors. The view was lovely. I would go back, but considering how long it took to get him to go back there, not so sure it will be soon.

In mid-August I was in town, from California, for a one week class and heard about the Tiki Bar. I had the grilled Ahi (tuna) sandwich and it was very good as were the fries. The tables out back are covered by umbrellas, which were great as it provided much needed shade. The view is nice and if the lake water level is ever restored I would bet it would be packed there, as the docks could be utilized.

Great view. Great service. Great food. Menu limited. Always a wait but worth it. Bring big spray.

This place is amazing! The food is so great! My favorite is the chicken fingers with season fries and honey mustard! Some thing this simple u wouldn't think it would be hard to mess up but believe it or not a lot of people do! But fortunately the Tiki perfects it! As well as there burgers! And lots of other great things on the menu. It is such in a cozy little hidden part of small town minneola and I'm glad I live right around the corner ! Beautiful view Of the lake while u enjoy eating delish food and chill with ur friends/family. One thing I must say if u go be prepared to wait for seating it gets packed! But it's well worth the wait!

We were with our friends in Clermont so we decided to eat at the Tiki again, but what a mistake. First, he server hardly spoke two words to us. She never even came back to check to see if our food was OK. We rewarded her poor service with a very small tip. The fish sandwiches we ordered were mediorce, and dry. The onion rings were tasteless. And as another writer stated they allow smoking. Trying to eat as smoke waifs in your face is disgusting. We will not return here again.

I tried this for the first time with my kids. I would definitely say this is NOT a kid friendly place. No high chairs, no kid menus, and really the "servers" do not have the patience for them, nor do they understand kids. If you are looking for a place to smoke, drink and hang out at the water, you found a great spot. Also, don't expect the servers to be nice to you either. Our server inspired me to never come back. I know she is only one and you can't judge the whole place by it, but she was extremely rude to me when she didn't do her job right. I was sorry I gave her a 20% tip!!!

We really wanted to love this place, and it has great potential in an awesome location on the lake. The worst part was they allow smokers everywhere--which ruins the food for ALL non-smokers worldwide. Food tastes like cigarette smoke as a result. Second--they do not have enough tables, and there is plenty of room to add more. They could add picnic benches under the trees (which should be non-smoking), or more tables where they have a waiting area now. Also, we went in January and it was still way WAY too hot--because they don't have an awning so you sit in direct sunlight. At the tables, you at least have an umbrella, which covers one of you, but in the waiting area they couldn't even be bothered to put up an awning or umbrellas in the waiting area--so you may wait for hours in the direct HOT sunlight. This waiting area should be moved to the trees. The burgers were decent, bread was ho-hum, toppings were not enough veggies or imagination. But they were good, basically bar food. Fries were cooked from frozen, not homemade, so that was another disappointment. If you want to be very HOT, wait a LONG time, have no shade, sit near smokers, and eat bar food, this is the place for you. I will say that we probably would have given this place three or even four stars if they fixed the smoking and lack of shade problem. The good things were the taste of the burger meat itself (good seasoning) and the location. But again non-smokers do not enjoy any view if having to suck down cigarette smoke against their will.

I recently visited this tiki bar for the second time (the first was several years ago), and I very much enjoyed the ambiance. The view of the water was great (especially since I was there for sunset), and the drinks were very reasonably priced. I didn't order food, so I can't comment on the quality there, but I would definitely like to go back as I think it offers something different from other Orlando bars.

This place rocks! It closes early weeknights I think, but Saturday night was open til one, so we decided to take full advantage! :) Only have beer and wine, take note. Like many places here, Yuengling is the closest you will get to microbrew. Its a great, super chill, true non touristy tiki bar, on the lake. Great service too.....the world needs more genuine places like this.... check out....

Great place with good atmosphere. Reasonably priced. ONLY place in Clermont that isn't a chain, it seems.

  • Nicki T.

Not easy to find if you are not familiar with the area, but so WORTH it! They have some of the best tasting burgers we have ever had. Very casual and sometimes a long wait, but again worth it. Only bad thing I can say is sometimes you have to battle the flies (outdoor eating) and that is never a good thing. Not kid friendly, but sometimes that is not such a bad thing.

The Tiki Bar is a place where you can have a beer or a mixed drink, lunch, and dinner and let your thoughts drift away to Margaritaville. Located right on Lake Minneola in Lake County you can drive or just pull your boat or red neck yacht right up to the dock and walk right on up. The food is the bare essentials of Magaritaville, burgers, wraps, salads and the most amazing onion rings and fries this side of the Tropic of Capricorn. Island music permeates the atmosphere of this laid back establishment, a Lake County Staple, complete witha full bar and surf shop. This is the type of place where everyone knows your name. Just one block off the well beaten path of Highway 27 it is an essential stop on your way through Lake Co.

A simple chill bar and a couple of tables by the side of the lake in Minneola. The menu is distinctly American Bar with a few burgers, a couple of sandwiches and some hot wings. There is very limited seating at tables, so don't expect to get one without a lengthy wait in the bar (people don't eat and leave, it's all about chilling out). No protection at the tables if it rains. Like it does every afternoon 8 months of the year around here.

The closest thing to the beach in the middle of Florida-island music, a nice breeze on a sunny day and an ice-cold beverage. Pull up in your boat and chill out. The food is okay-bar food- but the atmosphere makes it great. Service is great and it is well worth the trip!

  • Steve W.

This is an amazing place to sit and drink by the water on a warm summer day. $1 drafts, great cheeseburgers, and a laid-back island atmosphere. If you have a boat, pull up to the dock and grab some drinks. If you have a sea plane, pull up onto the beach. What's not to like?

Love this place. Reminds of the beach bars I hung around in the early '70's. Easy going and outside with great beer and food. Low key and great view of the lake and sky

  • Matt C.

Yes, it is a great place to have a beer, burger, and some tots. One of my favorite places to visit would be the Tiki Bar. It is way off of the beaten path, but once you taste the burger and drink the $1 draft beers, it will all be worth it. From now on, when down in Florida, I will visit the Tiki Bar. Extremely laid back, but great service, food, and beer. The only downside is that you will have to wait for a table to open up. But, if you get a chance, go there at night, and you will get to see a beautiful sunset over the lake.

  • Aric Z.

i have to start off and say that i love the tiki bar and what the overall concept is. its local, its lake county at its best and worst. the food is great. the prices are fair. the scenery is top notch. my only complaint is the space. there is never enough room on a nice day or a cool night. i have thought about bringing my own table and chairs as the wait can be long at times, but the worse thing about that is that there appears to be no real order how people waiting for a table queue up. it appears to work on some odd honor system. the staff never appears to have a clue about whats going on with those in line. this aside, it truly has one of the best burgers in town, cold beer, pretty good wings, and just a place off the path that we call our own. my wife and i go there as often as we can.
