After checking out the manatees all 10 of us were starving (big family)! So I searched yelp for somewhere affordable and highly rated to eat. This place was less than 15 min away and had 4 star reviews. When we got there we were hesitant to go inside. It looked small and there were only 2 cars in the parking lot. We thought they were closed! After coming inside the waitress welcomed us in and told us to sit wherever we wanted. We ordered 2 family platters (supposed to feed 4 ppl a piece and comes with 2 sides and garlic toast per person). They had a ton of options for sides!! But more than anything one platter would have fed everyone. We packed up an entire platter of meat which filled 3 takeout containers! The food was delicious and there was plenty to go around. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Great food and atmosphere!

GREAT lunch place with affordable prices and good food. Fast, friendly service. Obviously popular with the locals! We love eating fresh, local! You can't beat sliced pork between 2 slices of toasted garlic bread and a side of your choice for $6.50! Add an extra side for just $1. The potato salad is awesome! We haven't been for dinner yet but those prices are just as reasonable. Almost every meal averaging between $7.99 - $8.99. We will be in the area for a little while so we'll be back here a few more times.

I use to go to Lewis' a lot. I have lived in the area almost 30 years. They do give a lot of food and for the most part is good. Growing up in North Carolina and spending 20 years in the military I have eaten good BBQ. Lewis' is just ok. I no longer go there because of their customer service. It sucks. I have been there many times and looked Lewis directly in his eyes he, nor any member of his family, has never welcomed me in their establishment. Their attitude sucks. I have decided to spend my money elsewhere. I drive the extra miles to Sonny's where the food is better and customer service shines

Let me first start by saying that I am a BBQ SNOB! I could eat BBQ (good BBQ, that is) every. single. day. True story. My hubby is from East Tennessee..... the home of "LIFE CHANGING" BBQ. Whenever head north to his hometown, I consider it a tour de BBQ. Every lunch and every dinner meal eaten at a BBQ establishment. It's almost sporting. We live in Central Florida..... home of mediocre BBQ joints nestled between Sonny's and other chains. Sigh. Then I found Louis's....... insert angelic choir music here (and rainbows and unicorns too)! Moist and juicy meat with great smoky flavor. The meat tastes perfect even without any sauce. That's a sign of good BBQ. The coleslaw is my favorite..... chopped small and slightly sweet. The fried okra is also amazingly tasty. The basket is HUGE, so make sure you have at least 3 or 4 people to share it with. The basic house sauce is the one I prefer. I could drink it with a straw. They also have a hot version and a mustard based version. Consistently good food and always friendly service. My favorite BBQ place in the state of FL My only beef is the improper apostrophe usage in the name..... can't lie, drives me nuts!!!

Unfriendly staff and unhelpful management. Over priced food. No pulled pork or beef brisket. The place looks like it would be a great old Florida BBQ joint from the outside, but, alas, it is wanting.

My husband and I visited this place last week. The food was really good and the service is friendly. The wooden booths in this place give it a nice country feel and give you a lot of space. My chicken are ribs were tasty, but the collard greens and sweet potato casserole were excellent. My husband had the smoked wings which we both really enjoyed too (the best we have had so far in Florida). The power when out while we were eating, but no one panicked and eventually it came back on and everyone got their food. We will be back to this one for sure!

I have traveled to all corners of the USA, eaten in truck stops, chain joints and Ma and Pop establishments, but never have I tasted such good chow. Chicken wings, onion rings, Baby back ribs chopped pork and Sweet Potato casserole. I could not find a Bar B Q sauce that I did not love. How about that corn bread or garlic bread? Good service and fair prices and very large servings.

Louis' added smoked chicken wings to their menu in 2010. If you haven't been, or have been but failed to notice the wings, you're missing out. I've had smoked wings at several places since finding these and none compare. The second best I've found were at the Broken Barrel in Palm Bay, but they use the dry rub too, which makes the wings a bit salty. Louis' wings offer Hot, Mild, and Honey Gold. The Hot offers a real-smokey heat that brings even non-wing-fans into the fold. If you're not in it for the heat, the Honey Gold are delicious and are based on their golden BBQ sauce. These are a big hit when I bring them to people who've never had them. They are my girlfriend's go-to-wing. One great advantage to the hot wings at Louis', is the new ability to order a side of hot wing sauce with your beef sandwich. You can buffalo that beef as much as you want... my mouth waters just thinking about it. How it's not on the menu yet is beyond reasoning. If you go for the wings, get half your wings golden and half hot. I like to start with the heat, then cool down a touch with the golden, then go back for some heat. 50 wings costs $29, and I think 20 are $13 or something like that. If you want a different wing, or a buffalo beef sandwich, head to Mims and chow down on smokey goodness!

We were a party of eight and the service and food were excellent. We pretty much had everything on the menu. I highly recommend the place. My only suggestions for improvements would be for them to improve the BBQ sauce they use (it seemed to be almost like a store bought brand...a more homemade sauce would really make them very special) and the peach cobbler, while good, was more like a peach shortcake than cobbler. This restaurant is a great value and merits attention.

I'm from up north in Pittsburgh. We have no BBQ worth bragging about. When I traveled down here I really wanted a truth southern comfort food experience. I believe I found it. Laid back look place with the staff joking around with what seemed to be the regulars. The food was fantastic. My first run in with fried green tomatoes. Crunchy and incredible. Pork BBQ sandwich with greens and Mac n cheese. Just amazing.

I love good BBQ and this among the best out there. Stopped on a whim as we were traveling by and it is now in my phone to remind me to stop at every time we pass. We had a special order due to dietary issues and they didn't even blink, didn't give us any trouble at all just made that item the way we needed. Really nice people too. The BBQ was GREAT!! We got the chopped pork sandwich and I will get it again.

Since moving to Titusville, this has become our family's favorite supper place. Clean, friendly staff and the most awesome BBQ. What more could you want? Oh yea, it's fairly priced too! :-)

They have the best sliced pork sandwiches anywhere. I love my fries extra crispy and they always get them perfect. And the chef salad is great too. I always get enough for 2 meals. The biscuits and gravy in the morning is great and the skillets too. All around great food and great service.

I would classify Louis's BBQ Shack more of a home style cafe that sells BBQ rather than your typical BBQ Joint and for this I give them 4 stars if had to rate them strictly on the BBQ I would rate them 3 stars, saying that I think the town of Mims is very fortunate to have them located here. It's oblivious when you enter the door this is a place where the locals eat often and then there are those of us that are passing through and decide to give them a try thanks to Yelp! The inside definitely looks the part, a country theme cafe with wooden tables and benches. The staff was very friendly and attentive and the prices are very reasonable. This is a safe bet if you're in the area and you aren't familiar with the local offerings. The BBQ sauces carried here are of the "Cattleman" Brand this is a familiar brand that is just okay in my opinion and is one of the reasons I classify them as more of a "homestyle cafe" most dedicated BBQ establishments serve their own sauces and this is usually their stamp of greatness. - Smoked Chicken - Very good smokey flavor that penetrates throughout the chicken I ordered mine naked so I could taste the smoke. Chicken is difficult but they do a decent job here I wish it was seasoned more I thought it was a little bland but not a bad option. - Baby Back Ribs - Lacked any smoke or bark, if these were ever in the same smoker the chicken was cooked in they were not smoked nearly long enough, its apparent these were cooked or finished on a gas grill or electric fired oven. They also lacked any kind of seasoning I also ordered these naked also and I was somewhat disappointed. They also were on the smaller side and tough. - Sliced Pork - I could taste a little hint of smoke but there was no smoke ring present and a little bland for my taste. I did like the thicker cut verses the extra thin slices some of the chains offer. It was tender. - Black-eyed Peas - This is where these guys excel, tender, flavorful, seasoned nicely my only complaint is I wish the portions were bigger I may would double up on these my next trip here. - Onion Rings - These must be sliced and battered in house medium cut not too thick and not too thin fried crispy they are a little greasy but tasted great if you order these ask for them to be served in a basket separately from your meal mine were buried under the chicken and some were soggy from the condensation. These were pretty awesome. - Crinkle Cut Fries - I don't get the reasoning behind serving these fresh out of the bag frozen fries that was a little surprising and disappointing. - Garlic Bread - Texas toast grilled with garlic and butter I liked it, you can also order your BBQ sandwich on this verses the buns. - Iced Tea - Freshly brewed and sooooo refreshing I noticed some of the locals were enjoying burgers and they looked really good, I am thinking I will go with the burger my next visit and try some of the other sides.

No, just no. We decided to try something new in Titusville, this was our first mistake. We saw some good reviews and decided to check it out. I ordered a salad with their homemade ranch dressing, I will say, it was really good. My meal was a quarter white chicken and fries and the kids got chicken fingers. The chicken fingers we so greasy that the kids were using their napkins to try to soak the grease off. They ended up taking a couple bites and not eating anymore than that. My chicken was actually pretty good, but I had the same issue with my fries, drenched in grease. The people with us all were so-so on their meals, but all of us ended up sick that night. I would probably recommend you skip this place.

Louis' is obviously known for their BBQ, but if you make a pit stop for breakfast in the morning, it's hard to go wrong there as well. A Saturday excursion to the Mims establishment produced a meal that included an omelet with bacon & cheese, biscuits & gravy as well as a side order of potatoes. Wash it down with a big cup of sweet tea, and it's hard to go wrong there. Being a popular spot with locals, Louis' can range from "quite loud" to a more laid-back atmosphere, really depending on the time of day you make it by there. Going in the morning, or during the busy hours at lunch and dinner can find the joint quite packed with people, and a short wait may even come into play, although table turnover typically happens with frequent regularity. Down home country cooking, good breakfast & BBQ, and a good atmosphere. It's hard to go wrong with Louis'.

CAUTION!!! : The address listed here is wrong! Use 2191 N US highway, Mims, Fl. It's within the Titusville area but using the Washington Ave address will bring you to an abandoned lot. The food was excellent! Service was pleasant and the food arrived quickly. I had the combo platter with ribs and pork slices- both of which were delicious. Mac n cheese was standard comfort food, but still yummy and the onion rings were nice and crispy. Overall a wonderful local restaurant. Highly recommended if you're heading to the Space center.
