Highly, highly recommended. The food was fantastic. An interesting, local menu. The prices were very low for the quality of food. The special was surf and turf + 2 sides for $10. Well worth the money.

Great service and equally good food. We showed up 30 minutes before closing and asked if it would be better if we ordered take out so they could close on time. Our sweet (and very southern) server said to come on in and have a seat, that it was no problem. She started us off with complementary hush puppies (yum). Everything we ordered was tasty (raw oysters, gumbo, blackened grilled shrimp, grilled flounder, sweet potato fries, side salad). They seasoned liberally on my grilled flounder and sweet potato fries so if you prefer less seasoning/salt/etc., ask for it light.

Ordered two dozen raw oysters shucked on the half shell to go and was very pleased with the value and service. Called-in the order and it was ready for pick-up in less than 10 minutes, and it included all the extra fixings at no additional charge. Called around first to a bunch of different places and this place had the best price, only $0.55 cents per oyster, "all day long, every day." For only $14.06, and that included tax (see receipt), we received 24 raw oysters shucked very nicely, horseradish, lemon wedges, saltine crackers, wafer crackers, and cocktail sauce, all packaged nicely for carry-out when we arrived. Excellent value! And was very pleased with the quality of shucking (none of the oysters stuck to the shell), and the quality of oysters, too. Will definitely be going back.

Food is great but the service has really gone down hill, the first time the waitress was fighting with her husband or someone on her phone you could tell she was angry and was kind of scary and being rude to other staff. Messed up all three orders but food was still ok, Gave it two more trys after this because the food is good. But i hate feeling like i just busted into someones personal kitchen and demanded they make me dinner. Very uncomfortable vibe, Will order to go...

Our party of 8 came in for dinner late in dinner service. You could tell the waitress was not happy about it. Everything was rushed. Barely set a fork down and the plate was gone. The food was good. I had fried shrimp with fried green tomatoes(which were really good) and string onions(just ok for the onions). The rest of our party also enjoyed their meal, overloaded potatoes, pasta, and a burger. You can tell the restaurant is popular with locals. People picking up orders were greeted warmly. I would give more stars, however customer service took a hit.

Decided to give it a go even though of just one review and so glad we did! Fresh local seafood and creative dishes! Staff is friendly and actually know the menu! We visited twice in one week and the food was consistent which is very important for success! We had everything from seafood to burgers all amazing. Oh! Best fried oysters and fried green tomatoes we've ever had! Prices you can't beat and why not support your local business!

Went for dinner on Friday night. The word is out on this place! Even though they were busy, the food, nor the service suffered. The fried oysters were some of the best I have had. The gouda grits were rich and creamy. They are one of the best restaurants in the area. I would definitely recommend this place!

Big Steve is back and as good as ever. I have been there several times and have not been disappointed yet. Try the Big Steve's cut 6 oz steak-great! Priced right and there is a very good lunch menu also. Can't wait to go back
