I love the homestyle atmosphere here. My son thought it was odd that it felt like we were sitting in someone's kitchen area. The place is decorated in country-style charm. The server was really nice and friendly, but it would have been nice if she stopped by more often to check up on us. We were exhausted and on our way home from a camping trip when I spotted this restaurant. I ordered the omelet. It was hot with fresh ingredients but a tad too greasy for my tastebuds. Same goes for the fried green tomatoes. Darn! It would have been a higher ranking meal otherwise. Service was excellent and the hot chocolate was nice and creamy. But how difficult can hot chocolate be to make?

I wanted to give them a try so breakfast on a Saturday seemed the perfect meal. They have cafe/dinner food I got chicken livers and gravy w/ mashed potatoes and green beans. I know not breakfast food but it was pretty good. My family had traditional breakfast items and were average nothing special. the cramped space is dusty, sort of like eating in someone's dusty messy house. I tried it it is not horrible but I will pass next time.

If your not a regular customer then don't bother, you'll get mediocre service. Toast burned, eggs ordered over medium but we're very runny instead. Grits were not done. Portion size very small. Overall not impressed. I'll stick to Nicole's in the country or even Black Creek Diner for breakfast from now on, at least they have good food....

It's good if you like over done eggs, sausage and grits. If you are into country ham don't order it here . The poached eggs were to order.
