Sorry, but my past two experiences here have dissuaded me from coming here again, at least in the very near future. The second to last experience ended up becoming a 2-hour ordeal, when our meal should have taken maybe 1 hour, tops, but what really took the cake was this Saturday. There were perhaps 8 seated tables. We were asked to sit and waited, and waited, and waited. After 15 minutes and no water, nor other acknowledgment, nor any waiter coming by to take our order, we stood up and walked out while the waiters stood around at the bar and looked straight at us. No apology or attempt to convince me and my friend to stay. With that attitude, the message they sent is "we don't care enough about you to serve you", which is fine, there are plenty of other Peruvian restaurants throughout Miami that would be happy to provide us with service. I'll take my business elsewhere.

Unexpected lunch stop while traveling in Miami at Limon y Sabor on Biscane Blvd. Delightful and generous portion of mixed fried rice. I'm a big guy and couldn't finish lunch portion. Many Peruvian beer choices to wash down a great dish. Would love to try many Ceviche dishes which looked awesome. Best $15 lunch I've had in a coons age.

The Seafood rice is awesome and the first and only dish I've eaten. The inside always seems empty. It could be because the space is large or people just don't like to sit down and eat here. There can be language barriers with the staff but when I want a good rice dish I definitely go here.

Slow service After we sat and waited for over 20 minutes to order, we still got the wrong food. Needless to say we end up leaving. The restaurant was not even totally full. We got to enjoy our appetizers and drink. When the food was delivered it wasn't what we ordered. The waiter got mad because we would not eat it. He refused to give us his name. We like to enjoy and promote local places but when the service and attitudes are not right I will call them out. There are plenty of Peruvian rest in the area. Go try another one. Don't go to this place. Peace!

The soups in this place are delicious. Can't go wrong with aguadito de pescado, yo get a big portion and always hot. Papa a la huancaína is a must and the parihuela is great too.

I come here often and love the food, the portions and specially that it wont break the bank. Portions are big so most plates are perfect for sharing. Highly recommend the ceviche de pescado, la causa with tuna, the saltados, and the arroz chaufa.

Accidentally ordered from here instead of another place I usually ordered from, and had the tallarin salteado with chicken. Flavor was good, but they didn't even chop the green onions which I've never seen. I will give them second try.

After hearing great things about the food here, I was somewhat excited to try something new. Around 6pm, my husband called to place an order, but ended up letting the employee know that he would call back in 5 minutes or so to finish placing the order. In less than that time, he called back to finish the order, and the phone rang off the hook. Strange, so I tried calling from my phone as well; it rang off the hook again. About half an hour later (6:30 or so), we tried to call again with no success. My husband an I ended up going Limon y Sabor in person to get our meal. Once I got to the desk, I realized that the phone itself was off the hook, and upon telling the employee so he very nonchalantly said that after a certain time they don't answer the phone. (6:00pm is TOO LATE when you close MUCH later??) But a minute later, he placed the phone on the hook and it rang. In general, the worker was a bit rude and REALLY seemed like he did not want to be there, which really ruined the experience for my husband and I. We are aren't even very picky- we just wanted to be acknowledged. We spent $42.00 on our order, which generally I would say was pretty fair because the Peruvian style food was delicious- but in this case I felt like I overspent simply due to the experience and inconvenience. It's clear that Limon does not want regular clientele OR money, because otherwise they would be more choosy in who they employ. It's a shame, because the food was quite good. We wont be going back. Long story short- the food is very good. But if you intend on being treated like a paying customer (or just being acknowledged), you have another thing coming. AWFUL SERVICE.

Brought my 2 young children and they devoured everything on their plates. Loaded oysters were a hit with them. The rice dishes and steak platter were amazing. Definitely one of my favorite spots for seafood. Clean place and very good waitstaff.

Food was good. Service was lacking, not where you want to go for your work lunch. If you have all day, could have been better.

The Good - *Food Taste - had the beef saltado, my friend had the chicken, both meals were delicious *Food Presentation - Nicely placed on plate and served *Service - we were happy about the service, my friend did not like his first order and it was changed with no argument *Decor - nothing to write home about - however the interior white tables and general look of the place give a sense of cleanliness *Value - Great for good quality of food They place enough attention in the cooking so that odors of the different types of food do not mix - the meat tasted like meat the chicken like chicken and sea food like sea food Recommended

in the mood for ceviche and in the area, we had heard of this place now for a while. there was no wait, just walked in and sat right down. it was clean and bright. immediately the waitress came over. we were undecided between "fish" or "mixed seafood" ceviche. she recommended the mixed. we started with this. it was a nice size portion to share between two (keeping in mind of ordering another follow up dish ofcourse). it was beautifully served on a square dish filled with tasty fresh cut fish, seafood, sweet potato and that "corn" they have (not sure what it is called). we asked for it a little spicy. it was "little" actually we did not feel spicy much... however she did provide us with the delicious green creamy delight in a bottle - THEIR HOUSE MADE PICANTE!! this in conjunction with the nice lemony flavor gave this plate a whole new kick to it..... could not get enough of the Green stuff!!! (now i know why folks there taking a doggy bag where sure to get the sauce to go as well!) the fish and seafood were fresh, but a couple of downs - 1) the scallops were very small and some kind of rubbery - 2) there were some type of "slices" of what i believe were imitation crab meat. this was also rubbery and did not have a pleasant taste at all.... for our main dish - we went for the "Seafood Chaufa" - Peruvian Fried Rice with Seafood - again enough portion to share and get full on. we have had this rice at other peruvian restaurants and found this one to have its own unique taste. it was good but again ran into some rubber scallops.... these were very tiny and i guess over cooked, therefore rubbery.... also we are used to ordering the "Shrimp" Chaufa where it is usually served with a nice amount and nice size shrimp. this one only had 3 nice size shrimp and a few smaller what we know as salad size shrimp. overall the food was ok - the service was really good - she was super nice and dessert - ALFAJOR - it was its usual dry but delicious self!!!! we would go back if in the area.

It is funny how now Peruvian restaurants in Miami want to look like the real good Peruvian restaurants in this city, but what they really need to star doing is revise the recipes, be creative and unique! Please don't be a copy cat, have a concept and then you guys maybe successful

This place is great.. all of the food is AMAZING. I agree with what another reviewer said about the fried rice, pants had to be unbuttoned to make room. my only critique is that the service is slow and the waiters sometimes seem frustrated when you speak to them in english.

I love Peruvian style Ceviche. To me, there is no other way. This place is legit in that respect. The portion size was huge for one serving for one person!! I could not finish my plate. I stopped in for lunch the other day and service was with a smile, nothing to complain about here! I wish the fish was JUST A TAD more cooked but only a teeny weeny bit. ((Personal preference.))

One star for service. Tho the food was not all that my friends told me it would be. We sat down and after a long while the waiter ( no idea of his name since he didn't introduce himself ) showed up and stood there. My friend had to simply say, "...yes, we will have something to drink I guess!" Finally after waiting for a long time for our food, it arrived, cold (no utensils or the promise any). I had to send it back. They promise it would take 5 mins to make...when originally took over half an hour. I didn't exactly received a new one (saw the piece of fish missing that I had eaten). Needless to say, not impressed at all. I've had amazing Peruvian food and this was not one of them.

Food is great but service sucks. And the waitress had the biggest attitude ever! My boyfriends kids had to wait 8min for an over easy egg after waiting 30 min for their food.

I really like the food here. It is very flavorful and the portions are great! The only complaint I have is that the service is not very good. I wish they were a bit more prompt and friendly. But if you are hungry or simply want to order to go Limon y Sabor will do the trick!!

Absolute worst service ever! I am not a picky patron by all means but the service made for a terrible time. The server was incredibly rude, asked us our drinks and then came back way later. We ordered an app (papas huancaina) it was pretty tasty. Then we ordered our meals I has bistec encebollado (nothing memorable). Then we had a friend join us and the waiter completely ignored him. Didn't offer him a drink and still did not bring me my original water from when we first came in. Then we asked for the manager, and it was our server!!! I will never come back and I will definitely not allow any of my friends to go to this place! The only plus: It is very clean

I love seafood in general, and I love Peruvian food. While I think some items on the menu were good, the calamari in the "aguadito" (seafood soup) was rubbery and the soup itself was too clear and flavorless. Worth to keep trying other items on the menu.

Watery soup, gunky papas a la huancaina. Cheap, place, OK ingredients but they have a lot of work to do.

This place is great!. Cheap and tasty Peruvian food. I am a fan of the inexpensive prices, great menu, good service. It is a kind of a whole-in the wall but you will be pleasantly surprised. One of the best Peruvian restaurants i have ever tried.

If you like ceviche this is the place to go. I got the house ceviche spicy. It was a huge portion, not some little plastic up with a few bites. This was a lot of everything (shrimp, fish, mussels, octopus). It was really really good. The service was barely average but it was a fine meal regardless.

Ever since the Peruvian restaurant by my job closed, I have been craving seco de pollo, stewed chicken, with peas, carrots and potatoes, cooked together in a delicious cilantro sauce. So when I visited Limon y Sabor my first question was "Do you make seco de pollo?" The server said he could make it with fish. Didn't sound as appetizing but I tried it. I should have followed my instinct. What was supposed to be cilantro sauce like was very oily and totally overpowered my fish. It was so bad I couldn't finish it. And my boyfriend who is pretty good at finishing up my dish found it terrible as well. His pollo a la plancha with rice and beans was good though. I will revisit for a second try sadly I am still on the hunt for my seco de pollo fix.

I really don't understand you people. 3.5 stars? Really? I mean, for other places, I would understand a just-above-average rating. For other places, the awfulness, it stands out. Other places, you walk in, the staff barely acknowledges you. The food takes days to come out. The tables, they're stacked on top of each other like the classrooms in Sideways Stories from Wayside School. Thirty floors with two classrooms each instead of the other way around. I love you, Louis Sachar. Wherever you are. In fact, some places also happen to be Peruvian. Some places happen to be about a block north of Limon y Sabor. Some places, they pale in comparison, yet you people love them all the more. People, I guess we just love being abused. No, but some places just don't compare to Limon y Sabor. This place is fan-freaking-tastic. This place does EVERYTHING right. The staff is courteous and attentive, never letting you go too long without being asked if you need anything. The space, big enough for cartwheels between bites. "Why would anyone cartwheel between bites?" Because the food is that good. And I haven't even explored the entirety of the menu. No, it's been rice, black beans, chicken, papa a la Huancaina, and that wonderfully spicy green sauce that gets served with every meal. But cousin, I'll tell you: this place just does it RIGHT. You barely even need a knife for the chicken. My lady friend, she orders a whole fried fish, and I swear, the way she reacts to it, I think she'd trade me in for about two of them in a heartbeat. And I wouldn't really blame her. Read a book, damn it! And tell your peoples to drive a block South and tear away from the oppression of the other place! You'll thank me. You will.

I was not too impressed. The service is bad, and the atmosphere is very plain. Frankly the food was some of the worst Peruvian I have had. Overall the experience was not a positive one. Their papa a la huancahina is flavorless crap, and their jalaya was very greasy. I would not bother with this place.

Th food was delicious. I ordered tallarines verdes con churrasco and my bf ordered ceviche frito which I have never heard of. I'm Peruvian so I know good Peruvian food. The only reason why I didn't give four stars is bc of the customer service. The staff was slow and gave me the wrong price when I asked for the price of a special on the board. When I got the bill they charged me for two alfajores and two cafe con leche. We only ordered one of each. I told the waitress about the wrong price and the double charge. She was not apologetic about giving me the wrong price at all. Her response was that the cash register has a set price on the specials. Needless to say her tip was decreased due to her nonchalant attitude.

I LOVED this place. Maybe because for only $14 I got a BIG bowl of seafood, broth and yucca along with a side of rice. If you're a seafood fanatic like I am this is the place for you. Tons of options- fried, grilled, streamed, ceviche. To be honest when I ordered the steamed seafood with yucca the menu didn't say anything about it being a soup- but it was okay with me. Super fresh and not too heavy with hints of cilantro and lime. There were mussels, shrimp, bay scallops, clams, squid. Amazing. I want more this second. My husband had the steak fried rice. Like Jane K said definitely better than a lot of Chinese places! Also a huge portion. As bonuses we got a side of plantains and I last minute decided to get an alfajor. The plantains were perfectly done- not too greasy or dry. The alfajor was good too although I could've used more dulce de leche but maybe that's just my preference. They also have good, big cafe con leches there too and very nice service. Will definitely be back!

There are plenty of places to grab Peruvian in Midtown and Limon y Sabor definitely holds its own. The food is consistently good, portions are large, prices are fair and the food comes out fairly quick. The service is friendly and while the decor could use some updating, there is ample room and will do the trick for a quick casual dinner. *Note* This place is great for takeout. They wrap the take-out container in Saran wrap, (unlike a lot of other places) so the Ceviche juice won't spill all over your car. My go-to order here is a Ceviche Mixto and Tallarin Verde, plenty for two to split and maybe even enough for a third meal.

worse place ever, I waited for a super long time for my waiter to come to the table. And as soon as the waiter arrived he literally dropped the menus on the table and walked away. TRUST ME dont go to this place it sucks!!!!

Excellent! The restaurant is large, bright, SUPER clean and has parking! Score! Came here for lunch yesterday - we had the ceviche mixto, which contained an enormous amount of extremely fresh seafood. We also had the picanto de mariscos - same seafood mix as in the ceviche, but covered in a slightly spicy, creamy red sauce. WOW! It came with rice and potato wedges that were pan fried. The seafood was cooked perfectly, especially the calamari, which can get rubbery if not cooked right. We licked the plate! The waiter was not the friendliest, but service was efficient and the price was extremely reasonable. Yet another Peruvian gem!

Excellent Peruvian food and great service! High quality ingredients and very fairly priced. My favorite items are the jalea mixta (fried seafood mix), the seafood ceviche (very spicy!) and the choritos a la chalaca. Try their selection on Peruvian beers (cusquena is my personal favorite). For dessert try the chocolate cake with coconut and dulce de leche and the picarones dripping with that delicious honey!

Solid four stars so far. In fact, I find myself angry at the past 2 yrs spent going to the Peruvian restaurant just a few blocks south of Limon y Sabor. In all honesty, both are good but Limon y Sabor is better. The flavors are more complex, the ingredients are fresher and the choclo (an essential component of ceviche) is softer. The ceviche is fresh and perfectly prepared. The pescado encebollado is FANTASTIC. Yes, their service leaves a lot be desired but if you're out looking for great service and great food then leave Miami and you'll have much better luck. For those of us locals that understand that the trifecta of great food, ambience and service is a mythical and fleeting concept in our home town, we must content ourselves with one or maybe, just maybe, two out of the three. For my part, I find myself in the constant quest of great food and if the other two are present then I recognize that the food gods have smiled upon me that day. In the meantime, I'll continue enjoying the great, fresh and complex flavors of Limon y Sabor.

Went back for a third time and once again disappointed... This time it was the service... They only have 2 waiters for over 20 tables. There is no possible way that you can serve that amount of people well with only 2 people... They kept on forgetting things we asked for and we were never followed up on our orders. A training session will help. Food still good, but not served in an enticing manner. It is not that complicated! I'am leaving my original review untouched... However I remove one star! This place has a long way to go in order to build up to a higher rank on my list of Peruvian restaurants. I have ventured into this place twice and both times they are out of most of the things on the menu. If they have something, they have the most expensive variety of it. For example, they are always OUT of "Causa de Atun" but they have crab, octopus or seafood. Off course for a higher price. I suggest they create a daily menu and always list those items prepared that day because it is a bit frustrating having to go down a list of unavailable menu items. Once you are a lucky winner and find something available, is decent in flavor and size. The staff is always nice and welcoming. But not great in customer service and Sometimes, they start making up stories about the missing menu items. Unnecessary fairy tales!

Came for lunch with coworkers. I ordered the Ceviche de Mariscos. Lots of fresh seafood with onions, sweet potato and peruvian corn. It was DELISH! Service was efficient and we didn't wait for a table which was great considering it was lunch time. No complaints... I'll come back again soon.

we have eaten here on many occasions and sincerely enjoyed it. the food is great and the service is so so. today was the worst experience I have had at a restaurant. we come in and was not greeted by anyone, even when the lady was looking right at me. we sat down and the waitress decided to go help the people that came in behind us then walked past me looked me right in the eyes as I was trying to say something and she kept walking. we then got up and walked out. we spent our $70 on dinner some where else were I guess they really wanted it. I would HIGHLY recommend that if they want my repeat business and my friends and family that they train the staff to be more customer service oriented. I WOULD NOT RECOMEND going here if you are looking for customer service.

Friday night, wasn't happy with outside entrance and place was pretty empty, but since the reviews and pics looked good, we decided to stay. Menus are plastic and you get an overall feel of a cafeteria, but clean. We ordered the Ceviche Mixto as appetizer, very good. I ordered the lomo saltado, my husband, pollo al ajo, and my friend ordered the marisco saltado. The food was delish! Wow, my plate was awesome with great portions sizes. I really did forget about the location and just really enjoyed my meal. if you really enjoy Peruvian food, this is a great spot.

This place makes you feel you are in Southamerica! Decor is random, old, Spanish, cheap, rinky dinky but who cares. Food is ok, good portions and prices are reasonable. Simple menu and food is yummy, my fish ceviche was great and plentiful, I asked for it spicy and Boy it WAS spicy! :)

I've been on a lomo saltado kick lately and I've been getting my fix at Limon y Sabor. It's right down the street from my apt so I don't even think twice to go there. Their lomo is delicious, and their portions are very generous. We went with my family for dinner and everyone ordered something different and all were good. My only small complaint is that the service can be a little slow, but besides that I recommend this place for an hearty meal at a good price.

3/31/12 -- I was driving by on Biscayne when I looked over to my right and saw a restaurant that was crowded with people on a Friday night. The next day I went to my Holy Grail "Yelp" and read the reviews on this place and decided to check it out. The place was small and nothing much to look at. If you don't speak Spanish -- good luck. It seemed like none of the wait staff spoke any English. The service was fast though. I ordered the "Jalea Mixta" -- wow they really served a very large portion. It could definitely be split amongst 3. All the seafood was fresh and every thing tasted really good. It was a smorgasbord of deep-fried seafood and starch. The Peruvian version of tempura lightly battered and crispy, not oily. Papa a la Huancaina -- Potatoes covered with this Peruvian yellow sauce ( I've had better) I also ordered Mango juice. All the portions were very large even the juice. Over all the place was ok, but if I am ever craving Peruvian food I rather each at CEVICHE 305 any day hands down.

Driving down Biscayne on a lazy Sunday afternoon, I spotted this place and mumbled to myself - today is a good day for some Peruvian! Being a true surburbian from California, I thought the location seemed a bit sketchy but hey free parking! We sat down and PERUsed (get it?) the menu when this big ol' plate of golden fried goodness was delivered to the adjacent table. I watched in awe as the patrons at that table quickly dived into the pile; I realized that I was being rude starring at them eating but then I thought they were rude too for not sharing so I inched even closer for a better look. I was informed that the dish is their popular fried seafood platter (Jalea) so we knew we had to experience it for ourselves. Once it arrived, it was a battle to claim the clams, scurried for the calamari and can't delay to get the fillet.

What a pleasant surprise! Although from the outside you'd think you were in for some very questionable cuisine, the inside is charming and modern. Faux-brick walls, sleek white, modern tables and large pictures of (what I assume to be since I've never actually been) Peru. My friends had been raving about their new favorite Peruvian find for a while till the point when I couldn't wait to check it out for myself! After parking in the back I made my way to the street entrance and we had no problem procuring a table at 7pm on a Sunday (although it did get a lot more crowded as the night went on). I noted the glittering disco ball and my friends informed me that they have dancing night where the place gets packed with people looking to imbibe and let loose. I went with the ceviche mixto, which I had hoped would have lots of varieties of fresh fish swimming in a flavorful sauce. Maybe it was my high expectations but I was a bit disappointed with what I actually got, which was really just a mound of white fish, octopus and calamari, with two large clams and two pieces of shrimp. I do really like ceviche and it was pretty fresh, but something about it was just a bit lacking for me, and I would have also liked scallops. At least that is what I thought until I tried what my friends ordered...I tried some of my friends' scallops (they got the mixed seafood fried rice and a dish of assorted fried seafood) and was shocked by the incredibly poor quality of the fishy and rubbery scallops. While I must admit while the fried seafood platter was a bit too much fried food for me, it was a very generous portion. I think the seafood fried rice was the best of the entrees which was more of a dark Chinese style fried rice mixed with a nice assortment of shrimp, calamari and those abominable scallops. All three of us ended up taking home a pretty sizeable portion of our meals they were so large. They also offered squeeze tubes of ketchup, mayo and a housemade green picante sauce that added a nice kick if you like your food spicy. All-in-all, I've definitely had better ceviche and scallop dishes, but the service was exceptional, the ambiance nice and I would definitely give it another chance.

Peruvian restaurants in Fort Lauderdale; where are you? Within a 3-mile radius in Miami, I can find as many as two, three, four... maybe even five Peruvian restaurants, but, in Fort Lauderdale? Nothing. Honestly, my experience with Peruvian food in Dade has been pretty average, so far. With the exception of newly added Mar y Tierra (see: yelp.com/biz/mar-y-tierr… ), there's nothing really great as compared to what's out in Broward. Maybe food tastes better in cities where there's more or less of a demand. Take a drive down Biscayne in Midtown Miami, and you'll come across three Peruvian restaurants --- perhaps even more --- Sabor a Peru, Peruvian Delicacies Restaurant , and Limón y Sabor's. All three have the same concept of providing authentic Peruvian food; as such this one happens to be a block away from home, so I had to give it a try. I went around 11 p.m., and it was busy --- mostly families and couples. The decors strange with more space than tables (and, there's a lot of tables) --- my initial thought that a game of Musical chairs was going to kick off, but, sadly, there was no game. The counter staff was a little off in any sort of acknowledgement, but things soon picked up. I ordered Lomo Saltado, again, hoping that I'd have an average experience --- but, no --- another upsetting Peruvian experience in Miami. The Lomo Saltado was well portioned, but way too much rice. There was little marination in vinegar and soy sauce; which to me, defines Lomo Saltado. Overall, I'd say I would recommend it if you're not coming for Lomo Saltado --- maybe there's hope.

Next time you have someone visiting from out of town take him/her to a Peruvian restaurant. A pitcher of frozen lemonade and a few Peruvian dishes make for a great lunch. Although, I'd recommend a pitcher of chicha morada and a pitcher of frozen lemonade to start. Lomo Saltado is my go to dish the first time I visit a new Peruvian restaurant and Limon y Sabor's version was the right mix of flavors. Lomo saltado is sirloin strips marinated in vinegar, red onions, soy sauce, tomatoes, and parsley served with white rice and thick-cut french fries. They also serve Chifa, (Peruvian-Chinese food) and a great example of how tasty and well-executed Asian-Latin fusion cuisine can be. I was able to have a few bites from my friend's plate and found a favorite dish. Perhaps the most impressive was the chicha morada a delicious drink of purple maize, with apples, cinnamon, pineapple, served cold. The server mentioned it's good for blood-pressure. Maybe, it was the cinnamon but I'd love to see this drink served warm for cold winter nights. As for the service, it was on par with the food. Our server was accommodating, friendly, and informative. Even better? They have FREE Wi-Fi

What's the best thing about Peruvian cuisine? The fried rice. I'm not kidding, these folks make a fried rice dish that is better than anything that comes out of a Chinese kitchen. And what else is great? Salchipapas. French fries and diced, fried hot dogs with a generous helping of mayo-ketchup and you've got yourself a delicious heart attack. Combine the overly large portions of each at Limón y Sabor on Biscayne and you'll wonder if that bloated belly is from over indulging or a Peruvian love child conceived from flavor copulation.

Visit was Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 3 pm. My wife and I tried the fried yucca with the Huancaina sauce, a cheese and cream base with specs of red chili. The fries were hot and the creamy Huancaina sauce was cold. It was an excellent combination and a good portion for $5.99. We shared an entree of Tacu Tacu with Mariscos (calamari, octopus, shrimp). Tacu Tacu is a Peruvian dish of rice and pinto beans mixed together and fried crispy. The seafood was a bit overcooked but the sauce was excellent. The service could be an issue here if you don't speak Spanish (my wife is Venezuelan and I speak Spanish fluently), as other reviewers have noted. But this is Miami and Spanish competency is to be expected. They serve a cup of fried, salted corn kernels as a complement to whatever you order. They were delicious. Also, the squeeze bottle of spicy cilantro sauce they put on the table was so good I ate half of it. This was good Peruvian food and we will be back.

It may just be me, but it seems like we have a little too many Peruvian places in the downtown area. That may be the reason why this restaurant didn't completely impress me. The restaurant itself is large, which is a nice contrast to the tight spaces Sabor A Peru offers. This is a good place to come with a large group or just when you're looking for a little breathing room. I find the food to be on par with most other Peruvian restaurants in the area - the ceviche is good, as are the fish dishes. I wasn't too impressed with the whole fried fish (I cannot remember the type - snapper maybe?). It was lacking flavour. A little ceviche-marinated vegetables cured that, though. The prices are reasonable, around $10-15 per entree. Being that most items are seafood, that really isn't too high. The papas a la huancaina were good, as is the causa rellena. I still prefer Ceviche 105 for those, though. Overall, if you are in the area and want decent Peruvian food, this isn't a bad option.

I think this is my first time eating Peruvian food and it was good. We ordered in - yes, they deliver. By recommendation I had the Lomo Saltado - steak with onions, tomatoes, and fries soaked in the steak sauce, and a side of white rice. They also have the same dish with chicken. Would definitely like to try other things in their menu next time.

Finally. First impression of the building on the outside was a bit shady. The green pain is not very appetizing. However, I was very very satisfied with this place. Only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the furnishings and overall feel inside, was a bit heap. The food was delicious, nice size portions. The service was fast and friendly. Prices are very reasonable. Very clean too and that's a high mark in my book! I will be back. Ps I had lunch at 2:30 on a Monday. Apparently a good time for a nice quiet meal.

nice. i found another peruvian place on biscayne blvd. i wondered my way in with a couple of friends. we were hungry and craving peruvian. decided to stop at limon y sabor because A, none of us had ever tried it before and B, traffic on biscayne blvd was a nightmare. first thing that caught my attention about the restaurant was the pictures on the walls. i had not seen nice pictures of lima in a while. i kinda stared for a bit... service was kinda slow but i think it has more to with this how novice our waitress was. she was sweet... but a bit slow. dont judge me. we (party of 4) shared. a jalea, papa a la huancaina, choros a la chalaca, tamal de cerdo, choclo con queso and leche de tigre. allow me to translate my little grasshopper. jalea: its like a seafood fry. comes with yucca frita. get some aji (hot sauce) and eat it. good dish to share over beers. papa a la huancaina, dude, if you dont know what that is ... go ask somebody, get out of here. choros a la chalaca: peruvians call mussels choros. these are served on the half-shelf with chopped onions, tomatoes, lime juice and other magic ingredients. pork tamal. google it. choclo is a type of corn. big corn. no kidding. served with chunks of cheese which were supposed to melt but didnt. leche de tigre. thats the shit. ceviche juice with bits of fish. very spicy. get this and you wont get sick in the next 35 years. overall, our food/dinning experience was ok. my favorite was the papa a la huancaina. then the tamal. im going to have to go back for some lomo saltado and upgrade to 4 stars depending on how much i love it. good prices. all that food plus two alfajores (delicious!) came up to $60 without tax and tip. so many peruvian restaurants around the downtown area...

Good prices. Lunch. Husband really enjoyed his pulpo (octopus), but my ceviche was gross only because the fish they used had a lot of fat or something that made it chewy. I couldn't finish it. Sodas came in can and I really dig a fountain soda. Good place, just don't order fish ceviche!

I was surprised when it walked in to the restaurant because the decor is really simple, clean and modern. White tables and chairs with great lights along the windows. We started with fried corn kernels (which I can best describe as inside out popcorn) with a spicy green cilantro based sauce and an order of fried yucca and a cheese sauce (didn't care much for it). I ordered the pollo a la plancha which was a huge portion of chicken with two sides: red beans and sweet potato chips. The chicken was cooked properly and well seasoned but seriously needed the lime wedge that it came with. The beans were cold and the sweet potato chips were mostly soggy. Next time I will order delivery and heat up the food myself.

we always dine at the Peruvian restaurant that's few blocks from this one. we thought about giving it a try after reading few reviews. the outside it's not appealing, neither the inside it's not modern or fancy at all, it's a medium size restaurant. regardless, we were there for the food, which we expected more. we ordered mixed ceviche, the fish wasn't very fresh, there was a fishy taste so we left it on the side, the rest was ok. the fried rice was loaded with soy sauce. the taste it's good, but it was just too salty for everyone, the plate was intact. we had it take out cuz we felt bad leaving it there. didn't want to waste it so added extra white rice and it wasn't that bad. bistec a lo pobre was very very hard! again, it tastes good but just too hard. nothing special about the salchi papa (french fries w sausage). the only thing that i can say it was very good was the natural juices. the service okay. i'm sorry to say but i don't think i'll go back to give it another try.

But when you do get through and the food does arrive it is always outstanding.

I will revisit for a second try sadly I am still on the hunt for my seco de pollo fix.

in the mood for ceviche and in the area, we had heard of this place now for a while. there was no wait, just walked in and sat right down. it was clean and bright. immediately the waitress came over. we were undecided between "fish" or "mixed seafood" ceviche. she recommended the mixed. we started with this. it was a nice size portion to share between two (keeping in mind of ordering another follow up dish ofcourse). it was beautifully served on a square dish filled with tasty fresh cut fish, seafood, sweet potato and that "corn" they have (not sure what it is called). we asked for it a little spicy. it was "little" actually we did not feel spicy much... however she did provide us with the delicious green creamy delight in a bottle - THEIR HOUSE MADE PICANTE!! this in conjunction with the nice lemony flavor gave this plate a whole new kick to it..... could not get enough of the Green stuff!!!

I love seafood in general, and I love Peruvian food. While I think some items on the menu were good, the calamari in the "aguadito" (seafood soup) was rubbery and the soup itself was too clear and flavorless. Worth to keep trying other items on the menu.

One of my favorite Peruvian restaurants in all of Miami. All of the dishes are great!!

Accidentally ordered from here instead of another place I usually ordered from, and had the tallarin salteado with chicken. Flavor was good, but they didn't even chop the green onions which I've never seen. I will give them second try.

I will revisit for a second try sadly I am still on the hunt for my seco de pollo fix.

nice. i found another peruvian place on biscayne blvd. i wondered my way in with a couple of friends. we were hungry and craving peruvian. decided to stop at limon y sabor because A, none of us had ever tried it before and B, traffic on biscayne blvd was a nightmare. first thing that caught my attention about the restaurant was the pictures on the walls. i had not seen nice pictures of lima in a while. i kinda stared for a bit... service was kinda slow but i think it has more to with this how novice our waitress was. she was sweet... but a bit slow. dont judge me. we (party of 4) shared. a jalea, papa a la huancaina, choros a la chalaca, tamal de cerdo, choclo con queso and leche de tigre. allow me to translate my little grasshopper. jalea: its like a seafood fry. comes with yucca frita. get some aji (hot sauce) and eat it. good dish to share over beers. papa a la huancaina, dude, if you dont know what that is ... go ask somebody, get out of here. choros a la chalaca: peruvians call mussels choros. these are served on the half-shelf with chopped onions, tomatoes, lime juice and other magic ingredients. pork tamal. google it. choclo is a type of corn. big corn. no kidding. served with chunks of cheese which were supposed to melt but didnt. leche de tigre. thats the shit. ceviche juice with bits of fish. very spicy. get this and you wont get sick in the next 35 years. overall, our food/dinning experience was ok. my favorite was the papa a la huancaina. then the tamal. im going to have to go back for some lomo saltado and upgrade to 4 stars depending on how much i love it. good prices. all that food plus two alfajores (delicious!) came up to $60 without tax and tip. so many peruvian restaurants around the downtown area...

Good prices. Lunch. Husband really enjoyed his pulpo (octopus), but my ceviche was gross only because the fish they used had a lot of fat or something that made it chewy. I couldn't finish it. Sodas came in can and I really dig a fountain soda. Good place, just don't order fish ceviche!

in the mood for ceviche and in the area, we had heard of this place now for a while. there was no wait, just walked in and sat right down. it was clean and bright. immediately the waitress came over. we were undecided between "fish" or "mixed seafood" ceviche. she recommended the mixed. we started with this. it was a nice size portion to share between two (keeping in mind of ordering another follow up dish ofcourse). it was beautifully served on a square dish filled with tasty fresh cut fish, seafood, sweet potato and that "corn" they have (not sure what it is called). we asked for it a little spicy. it was "little" actually we did not feel spicy much... however she did provide us with the delicious green creamy delight in a bottle - THEIR HOUSE MADE PICANTE!! this in conjunction with the nice lemony flavor gave this plate a whole new kick to it..... could not get enough of the Green stuff!!!

Excellent peruvian food. I remember this place used to be a Chinese restaurant (I lived down the street back in the late 90's). Anyway, have your fill of the ceviche and jalea mixto (mouth watering at this moment). Great service!

I love seafood in general, and I love Peruvian food. While I think some items on the menu were good, the calamari in the "aguadito" (seafood soup) was rubbery and the soup itself was too clear and flavorless. Worth to keep trying other items on the menu.

we always dine at the Peruvian restaurant that's few blocks from this one. we thought about giving it a try after reading few reviews. the outside it's not appealing, neither the inside it's not modern or fancy at all, it's a medium size restaurant. regardless, we were there for the food, which we expected more. we ordered mixed ceviche, the fish wasn't very fresh, there was a fishy taste so we left it on the side, the rest was ok. the fried rice was loaded with soy sauce. the taste it's good, but it was just too salty for everyone, the plate was intact. we had it take out cuz we felt bad leaving it there. didn't want to waste it so added extra white rice and it wasn't that bad. bistec a lo pobre was very very hard! again, it tastes good but just too hard. nothing special about the salchi papa (french fries w sausage). the only thing that i can say it was very good was the natural juices. the service okay. i'm sorry to say but i don't think i'll go back to give it another try.

I've been eating at Limon for about a year now. Their ceviche is by far the best in midtown. The only reason I'm not giving 4 stars is because it is difficult to get a line through to them and they will put you on hold until the line drops. But when you do get through and the food does arrive it is always outstanding.

Peace!
