This place is amazing! We stumbled by it, late night on a weekday looking for something to eat. Little hole in the wall, I felt as if I was in South America with the menu on the wall, prices were great. I ordered the California Fries oh my!!! what a treat! A bed a fries with chopped meat on top, a bed of tomatoes on top of that with shredded cheese on top. As a side they had guacamole and sour cream. It was delicious! one of those dishes you start and can't stop eating. Late night food, lunch or dinner this is a great little spot.

Great eats at great prices. They do a great nacho plate, their California Fries are the bomb, and their burritos are a tasty rendition of a classic favorite. The atmosphere is kinda stuffy, with annoying novellas on the TV, but frankly I think that enchances the experience. Definitely a must-try!

It was a Tuesday around 10 pm or so, taco Tuesday was almost over and I needed my taco fix, all the other places I wanted to go to were 5 mins away from closing, so here it came Yelp to the rescue!!! I found Ernesto's and went. It's located in a shopping plaza on Kendall Dr and I think 107th Ave. There were not that many patrons in there. The menu is kind of extensive but I opted for 2 tacos al pastor, they were juicy and tasted good, my only complaint is that they put a pile of raw onions on top of them, I had to picked them out because I simply dislike them (my boyfriend would've complained later), he chose two chicken tacos and at home he had to add some salsa from a jar, so I'm guessing the were lacking some flavor. We also had to have a Jarritos, we had the pineapple one, no complaints there. All in all, it was an OK experience. I might be back if I'm craving some tacos late at night and there's no place open, I just don't see myself going back for other reason.

This place is not the greatest place but it satisfies the craving for Mexican food. The food is fresh and it's open 24 hours. Great for late-night munchies.

I love this place, fiesta plate after a night out is the best, only bad thing is the side sauces are small and they cook without salt

We fell in love with Ernesto's when we moved to the area and spent hours, money and blood, sweat and tears into renovating our new yet very old old home. Actually, my husband and the undocumented workers did, I just delivered the food and supervised. This place never disappoints. Their guac is fresh and delicious, their quesadillas are always cheesy and melty, and their tacos flavorful and filling, and the service is prompt and friendly. We usually stick with our favorites. Hubby gets his 3 Amigos with chicken and I get the chicken quesadillas with a side of guac, which is always on the money and hits the spot. They offer a wide variety of Mexican goodies and treats, so I guess if you're Mexican you can appreciate this and indulge in Conchas, seasonings, and other colorful treats that are more than likely not regulated by the FDA. Ernesto's used to be open 24/7 except for Sundays, but we noticed they are now a 24/7 operation from Thursday to Sunday. This is a great spot to stop at on your way home from "da club" when your belly is grumbling and asking for nourishment after you pop bottles all night. They also serve beer, which you probably don't need if you're stopping here after a night of boozing it up.

Open 24 hours and the food is awesome! The chicken three amigos are my favorite. Good customer service as well.

Great little place for a quick stop to get Mexican food..not elaborate dishes or anything. I ordered 2 tacos that were quite tasty. If I was in the area I would definitely pass by again.

A lot of my friends seem to love this place. And, ok, yes, I am not really into Mexican food, but I have had my fair share of it and Ernesto's food is just not for me. I ordered a chicken chimichanga, something simple and easy, and somehow it lacked flavor. I mean, a chimichanga has cheese so how did mine lack flavor?? I don't know, Yelpers, but there you have it. I took two bites and gave the rest to my fiance. Like I said, I am not into this place and I won't be going back.

It doesn't beat "I love tacos" in Pembroke Pines and Weston but it's pretty good. It's the only Mexican restaurant my husband and I order from now that we live in Miami close to it. The taquitos are pretty good and menu has a lot of options

anyone that gives this place a bad review is crazy. I am a real Mexican and this place is the only place in Miami that has real Mexican food. Everything is excellent and freshly made! The key is not to wait until your house to eat it.

Is this place better than taco bell? YES! Does Ernesto's offer food that will not make you sick to your stomach later that night? NO!! Every single time I go there, I get sick. I've given up with these people. The food's good but not worth the ailment.

I saw this place on US 1 for awhile and awlaways wanted to try it, well I finally did and WOW I was very surprised !!!!! Food was great, a little pricey but worth it. I usually get the 3 Amigos with Carne Asada and chicken. The Carne is off the HOOK ...... great flavor, I've also had the Burrito Mmmmmmm!!! the condiments are made fresh. From my experience I've tried both Ernesto's the one on US1 and one on 88st and 107 ave; the juices on 88 are watered down (very dissapointing) considering the owners are at that location !!!!! Have a late night Munchy ??? this is the place to go 24 hrs at Kendall 88st (most nights).

I like it. Do I love it? No, but it beats the alternative of Chipotle and the likes. Fiesta Platter was more like a fiesta in my mouth. The Tacquitos were just the right amount of crunchy and the quesadillas were very yummy (though a but greasy for my taste). Their re fried beans leave much to be desired but their nachos with salsa are definitely delicious. They serve Horchata, a Mexican drink, which I was not expecting but it was a bit too sweet for my taste. The place was clean and the staff was friendly. Expect your food to take about 10-15 minutes. In the meanwhile, check out their 3 sauce bar- red, green and a combination of onions, jalapenos and carrot mix. Red sauce was too...well, it was ew. Green and the mix hit the spot though. I'd come back if I was in the area. Plus, they're open 24 hours on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays- NICE!

Mexican food on the late night tip that isn't Taco Bell?? COUNT ME IN! Ended up in Suburgatory (a.k.a. Kendall) around 2am after dropping a friend at home. A vicious hangover is threatening to kick in before I've even gone to bed!! That's a low blow! Guess that's what I get after drinking rum at the Elite Event, then back to my usual Scotch and I think I swiped a few sips from the Boo's IPA... Anyhoo, my tummy was yelling at me: FOOD PLEASE!! With a quick check on Yelp for 24 hour restaurants (I wasn't too hopeful since I knew I was officially in the boonies.) I came across this late night pit stop. Let's do it. I decided to keep it simple since I knew the night was far from over for us and I didn't want the "itis" to kick in. If you don't know what the itis is, you better ask somebody. I ordered a Breakfast Burrito with Carne Asada. Que Ricooooo!! Yummmy! This bad boy included egg & cheese with whatever other ingredients you choose. Since I went with the Carne Asada, the Burrito was uber simple. Just Meat, Egg & Cheese. That's what's up. What I really enjoyed about this burrito was that the egg was lightly scrambled. You can tell that they pan-scramble it. In other words, rather than scrambling the egg in a bowl and then cooking it, they drop the eggs on the skillet and scramble as it cooks. The end result is a scrambled egg that includes some egg whites and some yolky bits. It just tastes better. The eggs were lacking salt, I will admit. I know, I'm a salt-freak, but just a smidge would have improved the burrito to 5 star status, IMO. The hot sauce that I liberally added took care of that problem, however. They definitely don't skimp on the cheese as other Yelpers mentioned. And the Carne Asada steak was tasty & fresh even at this late hour. SERVICE: Quick & friendly. No complaint there. The place was completely deserted, though. This may have something to do with it. The attendant suggested a beer when the babes asked what he would recommend. He was a nice guy! Overall, I was satisfied and next time I find myself in BFE at the crack of dawn, I'll definitely stop in for a bite!

The tres amigos tacos are the best. And the California fries are awesome. The best part is that they are open 24 hours. Really friendly and authentic place. They also have real Mexican candy. The definitely the place to go for Mexican food in Kendall.

Ernesto's is a soft spot for me... it holds a dear place in my heart. I used to practically live here. This was home away from home. When nothing else is open, you can always count on Ernesto's. When you are in the mood for Mexican and something terribly fattening, Ernesto's will fill that void. When Taco Bell just doesn't cut it, Ernesto's is there smack dab in the middle of Kendall. When you are lonely and have no where else to go, the workers at Ernesto's are ready for you. If only we still ate meat.... because unfortunately their vegetarian options are lacking and the bean burritos are not that spectacular. But what is amazing for you carnivorous creatures is the CALIFORNIA FRIES. This was my go-to fat food staple: it is everything you'd think of on a fully loaded steak nachos plate, but instead on french fries - this is a must at Ernesto's, even if it may not be on the menu! I also love that they serve Jarrito's - see they are a true Mexican establishment! Jarrito's are like Jupina in a way but not exactly, with soda flavors like Pineapple, Tangerine, and Tamarind. The beef burritos are bigger than some of those miniature chihuahuas and the crunchy tacos are not those El Paso out-of-a-box kind but real tortillas hand dipped in splattering oil until perfection. But my favorite was always the Taquitos with their homemade Guacamole. In case you aren't in touch with Mexican American cuisine, these are rolled up shredded beefs logs and crispy with your choice of dipping sauce, pick the guacamole, it's pretty damn good. While on the negative side, it isn't the most hygenic and sanitary of places and I may have questioned this at times, BUT i think that because I loved going here so much and enjoyed the food so often I was willing to overlook some of these things. Cause ya know, it is in a strip mall in Kendall... but Ernesto's definitely delivers with flavor and tastiness for Mexican food.

HANDS DOWN BETTER MEXICAN FOOD THAN I HAVE EVER TASTED FOR A QUARTER OF THE PRICE. The employees are very friendly and kind. The food is incredibly delicious, authentic, clean, fresh, and light. The homemade guacamole and taco shells are out of this world! Imagine a salad in an airy taco shell topped with steak or chicken, grilled onions and peppers, cheese, and tomatoes with homemade guac and sour cream on the side. I eat lunch here almost everyday. Ernesto's Tacos is the place to be for a happy belly.

This place is very Convenient right at the corner of a major shopping mall. When I went in it was right around dinner time so they where very busy, The staff where very friendly and all my questions where answered in a polite and patient manner. On to the food, I had the Fiesta Platter $8.39 it had one of everything 5 quesadillas, 4 Tachitoes, And some chips with Bean Dip, Guacamole, Sour Cream The quesadillas where ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! There cheezzzyy has great generous amount of meat choice of Steak or Chicken. Everything about the food was great and very filling for the Price 3/5 because the wait time for the food was rather long, The taquetoes meat was very distasteful the meat was dry and flavorless and the place had Ants crawling by where I ate! It was also very Loud and the tv was small and playing all Spanish.

This is probably one of the only places in Miami that I have been that actually makes real Mexican food. They have your basic burritos, quesadillas, enchiladas, tostadas etc. Things that make it A-Ok - quick service - open 24 hours - they use the real kind of Mexican cheese! - it's cheap - you can get Mexican breakfast!! - when you get a side of something it's actually a decent amount (quac you get a little cup full instead of a tiny drop) - they have a variety of combo plates that will fill you up for about $7 -the food you order is consistently decent I just gave them 3 stars because they only offer green or red salsa that in my opinion is pretty bland. The quac could be kicked up a notch (more garlic maybe?) the texture is nice and smooth but the flavor is pretty bland as well. I'm sure I'll be back here again, so maybe I'll be able to upgrade them if I get a little more spice!

Ernesto's is awesome, especially late at night coming home and you want real food not Taco Bell or BK, this place is open 24 hrs except Sunday. I think its the only place in Kendall you can get real food at that time of night. The chicken is not the best but the steak is good. They give you tortilla chips with practically everything and if not you can ask, she always gives them to you. Theres 2 different hot sauces on the side plus this spicy salad mix made with carrots and onions, it goes great with anything or even by itself. Burritos are massive. The breakfast burrito is so massive you can split it and still be super full! The refried beans are yummy and the cheese enchiladas with yellow rice never ever disappoint!

So Saturday, my wife and I were running around Miami trying to find the perfect Pumpkin to carve. Before we knew it, it was 4pm and we had only had breakfast. Sooooo, we decided to try out Ernestos. When I first walked in and saw the food pictures on the wall, I was in love!!! The place was very clean, cozy, and smelled of pure Mexican authentic foods. I ordered the Mexican Platter, while my wife got the 3 tacos "al pastor". The portions are huge, everything is fresh, and the price is very reasonable. So 2 plates plus 2 sodas, came out to 16 bucks. The best part yet?? they're opened 24 HOURS!!! so yeah, no more late night taco bell runs... now its all about Ernestos and his amazing Mexican dishes....

I'm a customer at Ernesto's other location (200 Street and US1). However, this location just doesn't do it for me! I went once and never again- fajitas weren't served in the traditional skillet, which they're usually sizzling hot; nope not mine! My fajitas came on a basic plate and were cold! The meat wasn't even good!!! I ended up leaving all of the meal. Not worth it. Highly recommend their other location instead.

If I'm to far from the Little Havana to get my drunk taco fix at El Carnal, I go to Ernesto's. There really good all across the board. Excellent burritos, great tacos, delicious chimichangas. You get to pick your meat filling, and all orders come with tortilla chips. Everything is well priced too, and you get quite a bit for what you pay for. However, my favorite thing to eat at Ernesto's is something that you can only get Saturday and Sunday mornings. Menudo! When I say Menudo, I'm not talking about the boy band where Ricky Martin got his start. I'm talking about a very traditional Mexican dish. Menudo is a cow stomach soup. Don't cringe at the thought of eating an internal organ! It's really good. It's a very rich broth that has been simmering for hours. If anyone has had any kind of animal internal organ you know tha how well you clean/prep the organ either makes or break the dish. Let me tell you that the cooks at Ernestos do a very good job cleaning the cow's stomach. Everything is cooked slowly for hours so it's not chewy at all. It's rich, spicy, filling, and absolutely delicious. When you order Menudo, you get a side of flour tortillas, and add-ons for your bowl (onions, parsley, chili flakes, etc). Oxtail,, and knuckles proved the base for the broth. It's just awesome. I really think you should give it a try. One bowl will fill you, and leave you feeling warm for most of the. Good eating. So yea, definitely check out Ernesto's. Even if you're not feeling adventurous enough for the Menudo, everything else on the menu is good eating.

The portions are big, the food is good, and they have pretty decent hours. +They have my beer that is impossible to find ANYWHERE in this freakin' town...SOL. +It's in the hood (Kendall) and god knows there aint sh*t to eat in the suburbs. - Why only 3 stars? I've heard from others that its a either a hit or miss and its also kind of divey. I say still worth a shot if you're drunk in the area or dreading the idea of going to that super weird sit-down Mcdonalds.

I don't know what I was expecting but it sure wasn't this. The meat in my pastor tacos was dry, probably sitting for a while. The chicken quesadilla wasn't bad but I could have probably done just as well at Taco Bell. The guacamole, watered down, not sure? The Styrofoam plates and white plastic utensils just gave me a really cheap vibe. Not coming back.

Where else can you get Mexican food 24 hours a day? This place makes my drunken self very happy. My favorites are the chimichangas, three amigos, and the carne asada nachos. The only downside is that if you go late night certain meats might not be available. Other than that it is one of my favorite late night spots in Kendall. People who complain about this place weren't drunk enough to appreciate it or ordered the wrong thing. Now if only they delivered.....

Open 24 hours, this place definitely is more of a late-night eats kind of place than for those looking for an authentic mexican meal. The service is decent, the food is slightly above average and the prices are very affordable (about average with most fast-food places: $4-$8 per person). ORDERED: Three Amigos (al pastor, carnitas, and carne asada), $6.50: All tacos were on corn tortillas, which is a big plus. All three meats were only identifiable by sight, as the flavour was about the same. Carnitas are usually full of flavour, however this was just kind of blah...The carne asada was the best. This wasn't enough food for my husband, but he ordered a second meal, so it worked out okay. Carnitas Burrito, $5.75: Again, carnitas were just flavourless. A nice portion size for me. Flour tortilla stuffed with carnitas, lettuce, pico de gallo, cheese and guacamole. This was actually somewhat good - I would have loved it if the carnitas had a good flavour. Chicken Enchiladas, $4.75: A small portion (two enchiladas) however by far the best thing we ordered. The sauce is just the right amount of spicy (slightly more than a mild sauce, for my tastes at least). The chicken was not the traditional shredded, but rather bits of breast meat. I would definitely order this again. The burrito and the three amigos came with a small order of chips each. The inside of the restaurant does have limited seating (which was dirty, as other yelpers have outlined). I'm sure the seats fill up quickly in busier times. At 11 PM on a Saturday, there were about three tables full and two tables open. I'm sure that we will be back to Ernesto's on another late-night quest, but it won't be because the food is overly authentic. However, for the price and hours of operation, this restaurant is definitely a solid three stars.

Very yummy! I had the chicken taco and chicken enchilada and the were both delicious. The chicken was flavorful and the taco shell was crispy and fresh. My only complaint was I ordered chips and salsa and I got chips and pico. And the salsa cups were tiny. I live my salsa, I need a big cup!!! The staff was super friendly too, and that always makes me happy.

Small place for mexican tacos without making the trip to Homestead!! I just ordered one taco here, I NEEDED to try them. The Taco al Pastor was good, although I think it was missing the pineapple..? well still without the pineapple the meat had a great taste to it. I like that they have tons of pictures of their menu. It does not lead to any confusion or misunderstanding or even lost in translation problems. Some latin american countries will call an enchilada something totally different from a mexican enchilada!!! Will definitely come back to this place, they even have horchata a rice/almond/sugar drink. It's been a long time I haven't had one of these. Then again, the horchata in mexico might be the same somewhere else. But oh well, I'll have to live with I have for now...

DELIVERY???? NO. 24 hours a day? maybe? who KNOWS? It is 2:30am right now in Miami, FL and we are wanting some late night grub delivery...except no one has been picking up in the last 15 minutes. you disappoint all the drunk girls trying to order some mexican food. buhbai.

We ate here about 3 weeks ago and I'm still thinking of that delicious Chimichanga :) They were packed; every table was taken. They make it when you order so there's a little bit of a wait, but absolutely well worth it. They could have taken an extra half hour and it still would have been worth it. YUM So, I had the Chimichanga with Carnitas guacamole and sour cream and my sweetie had the Fiesta Plate with taquitos, refried beans, rice and some other goodies. I've been disappointed time and time again at certain Mexican chain restaurants where the Chimichanga isn't crispy anymore because they've made it ahead of time and serve it soggy. Well, at Ernesto's everything was delicious, fresh and homemade. Tiny complaint: The Guacamole and Sourcream are a little too watery. I don't know if that's because they purposefully thin it out (Can't blame them for trying to stretch out the product, especially with the current economic conditions) OR if it was watery because they served it right next to the piping hot food which made it melt some. Either way, no big deal. Still tasted fine. They have free refills on soda which is a plus in our books. And they have a little cart full of hard to find Mexican pastries and such. I was pretty stuffed this last time, but I'll have something next time I'm there. By the way, they are open 24 hours! I wish we lived closer. We would seriously be there all day.

Being Mexican from the westcoast the place is probably the best you'll get in miami unless you go to homestead. The main cook is from DF but the rest of his cooks are peruvian and central american which kills it for me.

After much hunting for a decent place to get our Mexican fix we decided to try Ernesto's based on yelpie reviews & also because we were driving around silly for 20 min around Kendall with 4 people yelling out places.... Finally I yell out in desperation....anything but on the borders please!!!! So glad we stopped by, the place is small but they have about 4/5 small tables & a couple outside the cafe/shop. Don't expect a Restaurant...this is a cafe type place. Super casual. I ordered the combo with the cheese enchiladas... My hubby the same with chicken. The combo's basically add refried beans & Mexican yellow rice. My enchiladas were great, good seasoning on the sauce... Pretty big plate with also a bit of lettuce & tostada chips which were crispy & fresh. The rice was very good as this is always sucky at Mexican places. I specially loved that the people behind the counter/ cook were mexican. They have also for sale some mexican snacks and drinks. Most importantly open 24 hours therefore a great place to eat some late snacks after a night out. Will be back Ernesto's!

None of the food that we ordered had the proper condiments as the menu described. With that said, the pastor tacos were missing the pico de gallo and the guacamole, and when we asked for it, they said the tacos pastor do not bring guac, even though the menu said it did. Oh and the food tasted horrible and dry.

How did I not know about this place?!!! I stumbled upon it late last night as a friend and I frantically searched for munchies.... and boy, I think it is safe to say we found the gold mine! How awesome is this place, its probably as authentic as it gets to Mexican food in Miami! recently I have been really disappointed with the lack of flavor within the menus of Mexican restaurants in Miami, but Ernesto's hit the spot and beyond! Perhaps I'm a bit biased due to the sate of mind I found myself, but for some reason I do not doubt that the next time I make a trip I will be as satisfied with my meal as I was last night. This place is a true gem!

Best Mexican Food in Miami... who would've known... this has been confirmed also by friends who flew in from Cali and Texas, where Mexican food is more plentiful than Miami... The fact that it is open 24 hours... there is no excuse... give it a try

The last two or three times I've visited this establishment, the food has been extremely mediocre. I used to only get California Fries, but I decided to try other things, and what a fail it has been. The Combo #5 (feel free to insert "Mambo #5" song/joke here) brings refried beans, yellow rice, half a burrito, and an enchilada. The enchilada and burrito are okay, but the beans are microwaved, and the rice has been dry and hard at times. The meat has also been really crappy. I understand that its two in the morning and you don't feel like making quality food, but at least have some meat that is above the level of Denny's. And the amount of tortilla chips they give you is measly. At least the sauces are still good and (seem) fresh. I'd like to actually try coming here during the day, and see if the food is better. For now, though, I'll be taking my late night food cravings elsewhere. Sorry, Ernesto.

I can see if you already in the burbs and desperate for an okay not great taco, this is your place. For us folks who have lived with the Mexican people and surrounded by their culture for 7 years, no way! Meat dry The salsa was like bad soup Expensive for Mexican too My 6 year old is more discerning.

Nothing special here. I have had good Mexican tacos and this place is to Americanized. Their service is slow, but I must admit that they have a good taste. Just not Mexican enough for me. The place is very small, very limited seating, although you can always enjoy the fresh air outside. Will I visit here again... maybe if I am in the area. I will be trying something different next time. I don't want to discourage anyone from coming here but this is just my opinion based on what I believe Mexican Tacos should be.

  • Andrew G.

Yeah... No. The bottom line: if you've lived in or visited SoCal or Mexico and you have a reference point for a great taco, great salsa verde... this place just won't measure up. I had the 3 amigos with carne asada and each taco had a honkin' piece of gristle cut up in the meat that seriously detracted from the experience. The meat was lacking in flavor. They may have had passion once, but they're an assembly line now. No big deal. Won't go back.

The BF is a huge fan of this place, and he once brought me some of their quesadillas and I was left underwhelmed. "But, they weren't fresh, that's not the best thing they offer, give them another chance," he pleaded. Yesterday I decided to take his word for it and we returned to Ernesto's. Again, I was not impressed. I got a chicken burrito with cheese, rice, lettuce, refried beans and sour cream. It completely fell apart on me and tasted pretty bland. I shared the California fries (french fries topped with shredded cheese, diced tomatoes with a side of sour cream and guacamole) with the BF and didn't find those all too great either. The best part of my meal were the tortilla chips and tomatillo sauce that came with my burrito. More Cons: The staff didn't seem all too enthused to be there and the containers to put your sauce in are way too small. Pros: Plenty of parking, plenty of seating and open 24 hours.

We ordered 2 platters. One with shredded pork and one with an enchilada & a burrito. Very good portions for the price. The pork was very flavorful and so was the burrito...I could've done without the rice and the beans though. Also, I really liked the salsas they have on the side...I'm a spice love so the spicier the better! Can't wait to come back and continue trying more of their dishes!

Around 1am on a Friday morning, a friend of mine told me he is craving Mexican so lets go here. I was a little skeptical because how sanitary and tastey can this place be if its open so late. When I walked in and saw that it is open 24/7 then I got even more skeptic. I was reassured by my friend that this place is good so stop worrying. There are so many choices that I was left completely overwhelmed. Decided to play it safe and ordered the chicken quesadillas while my friend ordered a chimichanga. He loved his order and I LOVED the quesadilla. I was surprised that a chicken quesadilla can taste that good. I would definitely try this place again. Just maybe I wont go half asleep at 1am next time.

i am no expert on mexican cuisine, but my taste buds have never lied to me...so i highly trust them. so fred g. and i had the steak quesadilla and the 3 amigos tacos. the food, simply put, lacked flavor. i was not impressed at all. the guacamole has the consistency of cream; it did not feel like authentic guacamole at all. i wanted to taste the chunks of avocado, but they were non-existent. meh. i've had better.

So I have been walking passed this place for years without thinking twice about going in. Then my friend said, "hey let's check out that taco shop" and of course I turned to my fellow Yelpers for confirmation that this place wasn't on some dirty dining list... lol. Someone mentioned the taco Al Pastor and I tried it tonight... I don't know what they do to this taco to make it taste so good, I swear I could've eaten three or four of these without a second thought!!! mmmmmm just thinking about it makes me crave a midnight snack at ten o clock! We also tried the chicken and fish tacos, they were ok. I was a little saddened by the soggy breading on my fish but my dining buddy was happy with it. I have to mention the service almost brought this place down a star. The girl at the register was more into the show on tv than helping us. Then I almost walked out when we asked about two items and they thought they didn't have them. Thankfully all was stocked and ready to eat, Phew! I already thought about a drunken night and a quesadilla so I will definitely be a repeat customer at Ernesto's!

It's surprising to find this place in the heart of chain-restaurant Kendall. I went today for a quick bite and I'm glad I did. It's also great that they're open 24-hours! I ate the soft tacos with ground beef. They serve the pico de gallo on the side so I put it in my tacos to kick up the taste.

You can never complain about a place that is open 24/7, specially when you are driving home after a night out...... Food is very good, but service can improve a bit.

This ain't Tex-Mex, compadre. This is Mex-Mex-- Legitimate, authentic Mexican food. I had heard about the place from some friends, and I've seen photos of the California Fries dish and flipped at how awesome it looked! Went with my girlfriend and saw the outside sign say it's open 24 hours! A restaurant, that's not Denny's or IHOP, open 24 hours a day in kendall. I love the place already. Got the California Fries and they ah-mazing. Definitely didn't taste like Tex-Mex. There were more vegetables and carne than there were fries. And it came with a side of sour cream and guacamole. The guacamole is okay with the fries... but the sour cream acts as a perfect complement. My girlfriend got the Veggie Quesadilla because she's a vegetarian. The veggies tasted fresh and savory. A little on the greasy side but sometimes oil gives these foods flavor. The decor is pretty intense. I saw chairs that had some snake eating an eagle?? AWESOME. There's televisions on the wall showing Spanish soap operas, which are amazing to watch when eating Mexican food. Quite grimey, in an endearing way. A cultural experience, so to speak. Good food, open 24hrs, anarchic animal carnage on the seating. This place is like the best.

I've been here 4 times and today was the first time I took the family. They all loved it! My favorite is the carne asada plate, my sister says the chicken quesadilla is the bomb, and both my parents enjoyed the three amigo plate. Fast on orders, nice size on portions (we like to eat well), and sitting area inside and outside. Oh yea, and friendly!

This is one of lunch escapade choices for 3 good reasons: fast service, good food and decent prices. The carnita plate is so good, the burritos and other food are very tasty, very good seasoning to the meat. The only downfall that it is a small location , but we always get a table when we go. Overall I think it's a yummy place to try out and get the bang for your buck.

Pretty great at 3 in the morning. Talk about a great selection for a place open all day and night. They are inexpensive and serve beer. Talk about a great little hole in the wall restaurant. I will be returning soon.

Great place late-night that's not Taco Bell. The food is always good enough for the price. Also, since I live down the street it's just soooo convenient. The sauces are all blended too much or something because they're really thin. I just prefer to have fresh, diced tomatoes, onions, peppers and fresh herbs in my salsa and really well-seasoned meat. For the price it's a good value, but nothing special.

I have a friend who has a theory; if a restaurant shows pictures of all of their food, no matter how good it looks, the food most likely sucks. Unfortunately, Ernesto's has this going on. As soon as you walk in, you're visually bitch-slapped by a wall of big, bright photos of every single one of Ernesto's enormous menu items. I mean, these images are so obnoxious it's difficult not to bow down and worship this illiterate-friendly-menu for its sheer tackiness. And the rest of the restaurant isn't much better. It's kind of filthy, telenovelas and Mexican variety shows are always on the TV, everything is served on Styrofoam plates, there's a roll of paper towels atop every table (pure sophistication), and their ladies' room (adorned with the same tag scrolled all over the place in bubbly-girl hand writing, something Kendall-chongaish like "Smiley 'Shroom Grl", but I have a feeling that's way off) makes me want to cringe. Yet, despite all this, I truly love this place AND it's broken my friend's theory - the food here is pretty addictive. And cheap. Not Rosa Mexicana yet not quite Taco Bell, although, the Bell and Ernesto's share a similar price range. Nothing's more than $10 (most stuff is under $6) and food comes out quick, but not so fast that you're left questioning whether or not it was prepared fresh or just reheated. My personal fave is the chicken fajitas - prepared simply with three tortillas, an inch-high mound of grilled chicken, green peppers, onions, and comes with a side of refried beans, yellow rice, and some green-guacamolish type sauce (I wouldn't call it guacamole, but I believe it derived from an avocado...perhaps). Nachos are also pretty good and ample (go with the steak) and if you like variety, the fiesta platter comes with quesadillas (go with chicken on this, the steak feels super greasy), refried beans with tortilla chips to dip, and crunchy, tasty little taquitos. They may have beer here, but it's pretty easy to sneak in a flask, and it's a great place to tame your drunk-munchies. It's open really late, but I don't think it's open 24 hours because there's been a time or two when I've strolled (or stumbled) in at 4 am and I was DENIED....but I'll let that slide because they also have this spicy homemade carrot, onion, and jalapeno salsa so good it hurts...in all the right ways.

This is my jam when I'm out late on the weekends. I've had numerous things on the menu but my favorite is the combination of a chicken taco and a chicken enchilada...ORGASMIC! What I love the most is that I don't feel bad about being tipsy when I go cause at 4:30am most of the people in there are more drunk than I am :D so go cause you won't be disappointed. Cheers!

picked up a carne asada burrito, along with some cheese taquitos... unimpressive. Not very authentic, or tasty. The burrito left me feeling full, that disgusting too much fair food kind of full. Had a taquito later, and it too failed to leave any long-lasting impression. stars are for quick and personable service.

I'm a Mexican and was looking for a good taco shop in town, based on the reviews I decided to try it. I was expecting a lot about the food in this restaurant, oh what a surprise! The flavor in the food was not good, my husband had a three amigo (chicken, ground beef and carne asada tacos) the chicken taco tasted weird, like a rubber band, the ground beef was horrendous, taco bell it's way better (I can't believe I am saying this), and the carne asada was the only he ate entirely (barely edible) . I order an al pastor taco and a carne asada torta (Mexican sandwich), the taco was the only one acceptable, tasted OK; but the torta it's a different history, I had to remove the carne asada from the torta and ate only the bread with the red salsa which was good by the way (a little spicy). I gave two stars just for the horchata water, which was good, really sweet.

Late-nights are a lot easier thanks to Ernesto. A simple place to grab some tasty quesadillas. Hidden in a strip mall you'd never expect to find such an easy place to grab some more authentic items on the menu. Take out here is really easy and convenient.

my mexican food obsession continues at Ernestos Taco Shop. DEEEELISH! Quesadillas are fresh and cheessyyyyyyyyyyyyy. i mean uber chessy... it makes the quesadilly seem greasy but its just all the cheese! i still found it enjoyable. Maybe this is what makes some people sick? Too much cheese... but if you ask me.. there is no such thing as TOO MUCH CHEESE! hahahah their "sour cream" is more like the real mexican crema... Their Al Pastor tacos are DEEELISH! Great flavors! Good prices... odd location but open 24 hours Thurs-Sun!

My fiance and I eat here one to three times per week. The carne asada burrito will make your toes curl. We always follow it up with the beef nachos. I'm very picky about Mexican food. I hate almost every establishment I've ever dined in. This place is the best though. Great last meal after a night out.

You know I really normally would give this place a 3 star, but since they are open 24 hours and I am a night owl, I think it needs a 4th star. Basically its inexpensive fast mexican food thats like 3 steps up from taco bell, 1 step down from an average mexican sit down place (think don burrito or another restaurant). Anyway, their tortas are very good, you can get them with all sorts of meats (al pastor, carnitas, carne asada, etc. etc.) which is great. You also can't find tortas many places in miami (they are mexican sandwiches). I tend to judge mexican places on their rice and beans alot, and considering this is fast food, I am impressed with the beans/rice here. if you're in kendall, its late, or you want some burritos, check it out. I also think the food tastes better than the more expensive chain down the street On the border. though not to far away is also tex-mex cafe on 117th ave and 120th st. also worth checking out

so i was in kendall (not by choice) at around midnight, kinda hungry with a group of friends who actually grew up in kendall (i dont think they grew up there by choice either, nevertheless they did) so they all suggested to go to ernesto's taco shop cause that place is open 24 hours a day sweet! (extra star because of that) i had a torta de carne asada.. a big sandwich with grilled chunks of spiced steak, lettuce, pico de gallo and guacamole. yum! i paid around 6.50$ for it tax included. looks like there are some authentic options on the menu like elizabeth v said. tacos de lengua, al pastor, torta de machaca con huevos, horchata, tamarindo... so i think ernestos is a great late night option in kendall. i would definitely go back... but... thats if im in kendall... which... doesnt... really... happen... all that often... thank... god

I really appreciate 24-hour restaurants in places like Kendall, where once the clock strikes 10:30 PM on a weekday, you're left with very few options. For that, I smile upon Ernesto's Taco Shop. I don't eat authentic Mexican very often, so when I chose Ernesto's over the Taco Bell alternative I was surprised to see some interesting items such as tortas and tacos de lengua. They also had a couple of combo meals. I chose the Fiesta combo which came with a steak quesadilla, beans, flautas, chips, guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo. Overall, the food was decent. The quesadilla was by far the star of the show and Taco Bell's quesadilla (which I'm a big fan of) is no competition to Ernesto's. However, the flautas/taquitos were seriously lacking. I took a bite of one and got a mouthful of hidden toothpick. But most of all, it was stiff and cold. The prices were good, about $8 for a combo platter. Quesadillas are about $5, burritos are $4. They also serve beer and have Jarritos. Overall, this is a great place for late night/early morning Mexican food. They have a series of breakfast dishes as well. The meat quality needs improving (i.e, the chicken in the flautas, and the pork in my boyfriend's taco), but I will very likely opt to eat at Ernesto's over Taco Bell if I'm in the area after-hours.

So great. If you're looking for the real deal, head over to Ernesto's. Yes, it's in a strip mall. And, yes, it's teeny tiny. BUT, the flavors are BIG and dead on. Their steak tacos are cooked just right and their salsa and guacamole are as fresh as it gets. I'll even finish the beans (which have authentic mexican cheese sprinkled on top) Did I mention they're open 24 hrs a day? Well worth a visit...

I have decided not to return to this eating establishment. After last night s meal there, I was finally able to reach the owner this morning to complain about the meal I purchased totaling $10.59 with drink. The owner usually isn t there when I am there as I have tried to speak with him before. This was the first time I have ever complained to him. The only thing I have ever had a problem with there, is the beef they serve. I have ordered it about three times and it is tough and tasteless and overcooked. You can t chew it. Even though this morning is the first time I have ever been able to reach him to complain, he didn t offer to discount or replace it. The first time I ordered their beef, I didn t say anything. All he did was apologize and make excuses. I pointed this out to him that since he didn t do this, I wasn t going to return to give them anymore business. Everything else I have purchased there has been good and it isn t like I have complained multiple times. Since he didn t offer to replace or discount my meal, I m not returning. He just kept repeating that he had been serving the same meat for years. For me, the meal was a total waste of money. Also, the temperature in their restaurant is way too hot and humid to dine in comfortably.

1 star for being open 24 hours 1 star for the earnest service 1 star for the yummy food 1 star for the nifty menu/name card 4 stars- i am a fan!!!!! Was wrecking my brains to find a 24 hours place to bring friends coming in late from out of town..and Ernesto's made number 2 on the search list. Apart from Mickey Dee's on Kendall Drive, nothing else that served food was open at that hour on a week night in Kendall! Tucked away in the Publix and CVS plaza at the corner at Kendall and 107th ave, a little bright spot shining "OPEN!" :) Brightly lit cafe with late night Spanish drama on TV screens, there were big pictures of regular favorites...YUMMY. I ordered the chicken burrito/chihuahua..which the cashier/cook guy explained had chicken, lettuce, cheese, pico de gallo and guacamole. YUMMY...i loved it, it was huge so I had 1/3 that night and the rest for lunch the next day!! My friend's steak enchilada was delish too..the steak was wonderfully done!! When I crave Mexican in the future, I am heading here...day or night! :) Tip-bits: Grab a namecard/menu to go...it's in the front of the store Beer in the cooler goes well with the food Website: toomanytacos.com

This is always a good place to go to in a pinch. There are no frills to the place as meals are served on styrofoam plates with plastic cutlery. I always order either a Burrito, the Tacos, or the the Enchiladas. All are very good and are certainly not bad by any means. The prices are always fair as well. Being open 24 hrs./day doesn't hurt either.

I hate to say something bad about a place but this is my second trip to the bathroom. It was really basic and lacked flavor as well. Seriously if you want a late night quick meal go to Taco Bell. I hope I don't die. :(

I had the 3 amigos. 3 tacos, you pick among five different styles. They were good. Nothing great but still good tacos. My wife had "menudo", it was a bit on the grease side but still it was ok. I would come back for the tacos.

I love tacos. Hard tacos, soft tacos..chicken tacos, fish tacos; all of them. These tacos however? Were quite disappointing. I was genuinely hoping to have a new taco spot near my office, and was pretty underwhelmed by my lunch here. The bathroom had five mosquitoes flying around. There were no paper towels nor soap, which was my first red flag. How are the people who handle the food washing their hands then?? My number was called after about 5 minutes. I had ordered the three amigos: chicken, steak, and beef. That, plus a soda rang out to $10.75. Not a bad price, for good food. The food I received however? I'd pay $5, maybe. I received three tacos, each cold and soggy. The guac atop the steak and beef tacos tasted watered down, and the 'pico' was mushy diced tomatoes in water. The steak itself was chewy, but the beef and chicken MEAT were flavored well. That, plus the crispy chips are the only reason I give three stars. The tray my food was placed on had wet guacamole smeared on it, as if it wasn't washed from its last use. Bottom line, this place is pretty gross; however I feel like it was a bad day for them. The reviews make me think I should give it another chance. Next time I'll go with something different though.

Made a pit stop here today as I was craving some home made tacos. I must say that their prices are great. Reasonable. I ordered their combo#7 which happened to be the carne asada combo which brought, two corn tortillas, mexican rice, refried beans, guacamole and chips. It was good except that it lacked salt. They have a lunch special of a chicken burrito, chips, salsa and a drink for $7.99, which I think it's a good deal for a quick lunch. I also liked how they have traditional mexican goodies and Jarritos. The place is small but their menu is ample and they also serve breakfast. I will give it another try in the near future. It definitely beats processed foods from taco bell.

I've been coming to this taco shop for about 8 years and every time I go it never ceases to surpass my chimichanga needs. Everything made in this little shop is fresh and made to order. The portions are very generous and comes with tortilla chips. This place doesn't get nearly enough recognition as it should for its amazing food. The owner is always there and very nice!

Ok, this place is no Chipotle, however the lines are shorter. Having said that there's probably a good reason why the lines are shorter. The place is open 24 hrs except on Sundays which reflects on their cleanliness. It has a strange smell of mildew and they're not very neat. The food is o.k. I honestly wouldn't recommend it to anyone fearing I'd lose my credibility. I was craving a burrito today and I know how long the lines are at chipotle, especially on the weekend so you can say I kinda settled for Ernesto's. It's not the worst I've had but you won't leave 100% satisfied. They do have a very delicious Horchata, which is hard to find in south Florida. (It's a rice based drink with cinnamon) I guess you'll just have to try it, I don't want to be responsible for an unsatisfactory experience. I'm not co-signing.

Can we say scrumptious fish burritos! By far, the BEST TACOS and that's not the only thing they sell. Great Mexican food, customer service, and so many options! Love the tacos and burritos, but you don't have to choose- get a combo platter to please. It's like a cornucopia of deliciousness before your very eyes! Come hungry and call in your order for faster service cause this place is always packed.

My family and I have gone here for 13+ years and never been disappointed. It is great value for your money, family owned, and they cook the food Fresh. I Highly recommend the huevos ramcheros for breakfast. They are amazing. Also try the new location in Countrywalk.

Too pricey for the quality of food, not to mention the service and atmosphere. The main guy took our order with an attitude and allowed another customer to interrupt us mid-sentence. Maybe he was having a bad day. We did receive our order of three tacos and nachos quickly. However there wasn't anything authentic or special about it. It really didn't taste that great. On top of that the place had a TV blaring which made it difficult to have a conversation. I guess it would be an OK place and I would visit again if the prices weren't so high. For those prices I expect a level of quality, atmosphere, and service which this place didn't have.

Ernesto's is not a Mexican restaurant. It is a Tex-Mex restaurant and should be reclassified as such. This little dive has its charms but sadly is an overall mediocre establishment. The word food should be modified to the word fried. The food is very bland and the portions are quite small. For the quality and quantity of food one receives it can be a bit pricy. Its only saving grace is that it's open 24 hours. Which subsequently makes it a not so bad alternative to the usual after hour joints. If you happen to be in the small strip mall where this is located then why not? Try it out. If not, you're better off going elsewhere.

Real Mexican Food! Always fresh, always consistent, never disappoints. Fiesta Plate and Burrito are our favorites. Don't skip out on the sauces, they're amazing. Chips are fresh (not from a bag). Highly recommended!

I recently started coming here and it's probably the best place ever. It's a family place and everybody is extremely friendly. The place is 24/7 for those late night munchies and to be honest all the prices are good and very decent. The breakfast is great and very nice and simple like eggs and bacon or you can go hard like a breakfast burrito. The tacos and burritos are all good and won't disappoint. It doesn't matter what you get Ernesto's taco shop won't let you down at all. A+ 5/5

I ordered the enchiladas with a carnitas burrito, chicken nachos.Let's start with the enchilada with the carnitas burritos. The enchilada was "supposedly" filled with cheese. The cheese was non existent. The enchilada sauce tasted like it came out of a can and they tried to fix it but it was a total fail.I have had better refried beans from a can. It was so bland. After that I thought there is no way to mess up nachos. Well I was wrong. A total of 1 tables spoon of cheese. A water down guacamole, and a lot of pico. As my conclusion Taco Bell has better food then this place. Never again.

'' Stay Away From this Place.." This place isn't good at all. To be honest I think Taco Bell would be a better choice. The meat is too dry! You need two bottles of Jarritos to wash it all down. To be a bit honest I don't think the workers here are even Mexican.... I don't think they are Mexicans!!

I am 26 I used to come here late night while I was in college they had the best Mexican food for a great price and the staff was fun. I went this week for the first time in years because I am pregnant and was craving their amazing quesadillas and I ended up ordering it to go. The place had a funny smell. Not a bad smell but a funny smell and I didn't want to eat there. One guy was nice and the other just took my order and my money no thank you no nothing. What a shame because this was the it spot for me. The food was still delicious and made it order but the location could use a little cleaning. Also the nicer gentleman offered me some hot sauce out of a tray and when I went to go grab some it looked like the sauce needed some refreshing.

This is a hidden gem, and my favorite place to get tacos or in my case quesadillas in the Kendal area. I began eating here 8 years ago and the quality of the food has never gone down. They serve a wide variety of items such as tortas, tacos, quesadillas, and chimichangas. Quick and efficient service is the rule, though it can sometimes get packed which might cause a slight wait. Take this as a sign that the food is truly amazing. If your feeling extra hungry try the fiesta plate which has taquitos, frijoles, and a quesadilla! I pass by here any time I am in the area and sometimes find myself making excuses to make the drive down south just to eat here. Go, but beware the cravings that are sure to follow!

Don't advertise your business as open 24 hours when it's not. I've been here 3 times and they said they are closed because they are "cleaning." Food is good but I don't like the false advertising. Wasted my time...won't happen again.

I had been wanting to check this place out for a long time. I usually go to outrageous bagels, gyroville, or power pizza but finally decided to order form ernestos. my husband went in ordered and brought it back home. maybe if we would've eaten there it might have better. but I was not at all impressed with out food. I had the taco sampler, the ground beef was siginificantly better than the steak or chicken. and my husbands burrito was decent. and the side tortilla chips were stale. honestly I prefer lime a million times over. I would give them another shot, but im in no rush.

Once upon a time, I was an intrepid young exchange student. For six whole months I lived in Morocco--the Maghreb--practicing my Arabic and generally blowing all my student-loan money (ah, good times) on traveling every weekend and doing precisely enough homework to make B's. There was no taxi too sketchy, no bathroom too smelly and finally--no cafe too dirty to make me turn away if the food looked and smelled good enough. Maybe that was a long time ago or maybe I've grown up. Holy crap, this place is dirty! I was determined so I used my bare hand (NO napkins in sight) to wipe down the only table big enough for our party. Shriveled slices of iceberg lettuce and sour cream coated my hand--but I eagerly awaited my chicken enchilada. I won't even tell you it disappointed me, because it certainly didn't! I loved the sauce and the cheesy cheesy beans. The green hot sauce was perfect. Also, when I left I had to go all Sinead. My hair smelled exactly like burnt taco shells. Yikes! Maybe we'll try it again during the day. Or better yet--to go!

Great mexican food. The food normally doesn't disappoint. With the exception of one time when I actually brought people over and was talking it up like it was the best mexican food ever and they completely disappointed. Other than that everything I've tried is great. However the men's bathroom is disgusting and being held together by duct tape.

Literally my favorite Mexican place. So freaking good. Once I get a craving for this place, I MUST go. I've made my mom go from Brickell all the way down here just for their excellent nachos. 5 stars for sure! :3

This place is the definition of disgusting, first of all super over priced. Chipotle is way cheaper and better quality of meat, cheese, vegetable and tortillas. The restaurant it self needs to be cleaned ASAP! The lines may be shorter than other places (because it sucks) but at Chipotle or other mexican restaurants its worth the wait. I've gone to Mexico and tried tacos al pastor....NO COMPARISON. Low quality food.

LOVE this place! Amazing quality food, great prices and friendly staff. I tried their breakfast for the first time a few days ago and it was the best breakfast burrito I've had in Miami. I can say the same about their tacos. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food for a good price, this is the real deal.

This only works when every other place is closed. They are good for late night, but not worth the visit during the day. The food is about as consistent as whoever is currently employed. Most people here late night are drunk. Seen puke many of times in the bathroom lol

Next time my mom offers to get me Mexican food from this place, I'll tell her thanks, but no thanks. My quesadilla was so greasy my fingers were gross, they only used mozzarella cheese, and they LITERALLY gave me 5 chips... Never again.

I love this place! Service isn't all that but the food is great and the sauces even better!!! Favorite dishes are the fiesta plate and the chimichanga. The price is also very good. AND ITS OPEN 24 HOURS!

This place is as authentic as it gets here in Miami!! Even down to the Escabeche served on the side. Being a California native I know what real mexican food is and by far this place is the real thing! I highly recommend it! :)

Great authentic mexican food. I actually laughed when other reviewers compared it to chipotle- if chipotle is your favorite "mexican" food, then Ernesto's is probably not for you. The three amigos, California fries and nachos are fantastic. And this place is cheap! It's open 24/7, but the crowd after dark is a bunch of obnoxious drunk people.

The food was good , I feel it is missing a flavor or taste to it . Very flat. Service was okay .

The Al pastor pork is great. However, they are ignoring the lady with the dog in her handbag...not cool for a restaurant.

The first time I cane to Ernestos the food was delicious! My husband and I got different plates and shared... The steak quesadilla was amazing! We were so excited with our new discovery we decided to bring friends on a late night! I don't know if it was a different chef but the food tasted old and not as good! We were so disappointed and embarrassed with our friends... We have not gone back since that bad experience!

Close to home and always open, I've stumbled in on more than one occasion after the bars close. Can be crowded at closing time for bars on the weekends, but the food is fresh and hot. I've tried lots of different things but always go back to the chicken quesadillas. Generous portions and consistent. Not a place to settle in for a lengthy meal, but perfect for that Mexican fix or late night craving.

Yummy!!! Everytime I go here I get the Taco Trio and it never disappoints. Try it. you wont regret it. As far as the rest of the menu goes, I dont know since I'm still in heaven with the Taco Trio plate. :)

I just happened to be walking by this place and stopped in on a whim. I ordered the chicken chimichanga and the enchiladas platter. One enchilada was pork "al pastor" and the other one was ground beef. "Al pastor" means the pork is marinated and then shredded, (or at least that is what some person eating there said). It was a surprise to know that enchiladas are encased in a soft corn tortilla and the chimichanga is nothing like the fast food, Taco Bell chimichanga. I think it had beans and it was huge. The guacamole and the open 24 hours are the best things and everything is served with hot chips. Not expensive and a break from the ordinary worth trying.

Not the cheapest, not the best, but definitely the most sensible choice at 3am! Only gets 3 stars because its open 24 hours and that type of convenience is very rare in Miami! I really think that for the price the food is very low quality, and with a taste that is less than desirable. The service is borderline mediocre but it doesnt really matter that much since their style is very "fast food-ish" meaning you order at the counter and wait for your meal in line...My favorite menu item is the Chihuahua burrito which costs about $9 and being the most worthwhile item on their menu, its a burrito that can come in either steak, al pastor, chicken and i believe carnitas as well. Nothing exciting really just an overly satisfying combination of beans, rice, lettuce and your choice of meat. Their drinks are also a big disappointment they only offer a limited variety of natural drinks and their Horchata is always in need of extra sugar, and its kinda pricey for an 8oz cup for almost $4! I would recommend this for late night eaters that would rather not eat at the Mickey D's over priced late night menu, but there are much better Mexican places like Mi rinconcito mexicano! its a true diamond on the rough ;)

After a long day of driving around town, boyfriend and I decided we wanted to go to a quiet bar and have a drink or two. Little did we know, it was going to be more of a mission than usual. All of the bars we tried were packed, or hosting some stupid event, or just way too expensive for a weeknight drink. WTF EVER HAPPENED TO WEEKNIGHT SPECIALS PEOPLE? SRSLY. Finally, we decided to settle for delicious, greasy, late night Mexican food to soothe our frazzled nerves. We made our way to Ernesto's Taco Shop and discovered that it was probably better than any bar in Miami. We got a sampler of taquitos, nachos, and steak quesadilla's along with 2 delicious cold beers for super cheap. Thank you Ernesto's. Thank you for gallantly saving my day by staying open 24 mf'ing hours and providing me with the beer I so desperately craved.

near the back of the mall on the left side if judged on the fast food scale, this place is decent. had the three amigos tacos (al pastor, carne asada, carnitas) tortilla (packaged) could be moister, meat prepared a little dry al pastor, pico de gallo and guacamole could use a little work. as far as late night goes, however, i imagine this place would be a gold mine. the ice cream bin was empty (not avail i guess)

Pretty good, semi fast foodish Mexican Restaurant. The food her resembles very closely to that which the actual Mexicans cook, not as Americanized as other restaurants.

they make really good tacos and tostadas cause they pile everything on if you get the nice guy that makes them (cause he doesn't charge extra and he throw's guac and pico and beans and cheese on there anyway) and also these are the two cheapest things on the menu and they're not on the menu so ask for them.. and they serve beer! until 2 am!

tasty, simple, cheap and 24 hours doesn't get any better. the food is cooked on the spot, quick, and the portions are large enough to feed two people. also a plus for me was the fact that they have pan bimbo which are baked goods like pound cakes, bunuelos, cupcakes etc.

I was having a lazy Sunday and was craving mexican/spicy food. I wanted to try something new, so I checked Yelp and behold this place was really close to me in Kendall. I convinced 2 of my friends to go with me and try it out. All 3 of us ordered the 3 Amigos (funny huh?!) Its 3 soft Tacos, 1pork, 1 meat, 1 chicken. Its absolutely incredible! The throw some nacho chips on top to munch. The pork one I recommend the red spicy sauce because its a bit dry, the Meat one leave it alone with the guacamole it already brings and the chicken add the green sauce. We did a vote afterwards and the meat one was considered the favorite followed by a tie with the chicken and pork. We were about to walk out the door, when we noticed the Homemade Icecream, we were very skeptical, and even looked at them for a good 5 mins before deciding. We even asked one of the employees for their opinion. BEST DECISION EVER! These icecreams are insane! My friend had the cookies and cream, and it has FULLSIZE Oreo's in it, not like other places that they throw in orea crumbs, and I had the Strawberrys & Cream and it was very sweet and you can tell the strawberrys inside were fresh. I recommend those 2 if you go. Overall I think it was very good and I do plan to visit again.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
