This is my go to Denny's for lunch. They are close to work so I can walk and enjoy something quick. They have build a burger selection. Admittedly they are probably not as good as a gourmet burger joint but you can get a custom built burger with the works for about 10 bucks. Plus they have a veggie paddy. All wins in my book. The serve breakfast all day and all night. They can accommodate a large group in the back. There is street and lot parking. Sometimes is takes awhile to get a seat. The service is... serviceable, but not always super quick. I have no problems with this place. And they serve beer!

Service is lackluster and that's being generous. Plenty of attitude. Annoying when they forget side items that come with your plate. Food is what you would expect from Denny's in the 21st century. Not what it used to be. Below the level of average diner. Only came for the easy parking.

Terrible service Karmen Terrible food Waited over an hour for our food and it arrived cold and unusually extra greasy During the two hours we were at the restaurant, our drinks were never refiled. Oil used to cook tasted old Notified the assistant manager Gaby and she listened and apologized. She was great but the rest was all terrible.

ah Denny's. You know, this is a standard and a staple for the late night crowd. Naturally, there is nothing i say to judege the menu, as this is a place that has been the same since i was a kid. so here goes the important stuff when reviewing a chain: pros: on miracle mile open 24 hours location is well kept and clean offer parking for patron in the back, if you can get one, plenty of street parking on street also cons: it can be packed and its inevitable that the service isnt always going to be great. the parking during peak hours can be brutal. In general its a standard, run of the mill Denny's with the good old sampler, milkshakes, grand slam breakfast, moons over my hammy, artery clogging deliciousness that the body requires at 3 am while the rest of the world is asleep. happy eating!

I went to this denny's the other day and my experience was ok. The strawberry milkshake was delicious. But when we got our burgers they were hard! Service was bad. We had to ask for our waitress constantly because she wasn't around and didn't serve us.

It was such an isolated situation to come to the Miracle Mile Denny's.This Denny's is very dirty, old and outdated our waitress DANA was so rude and very stubborn. My Chicken Tenders were very dry and really burnt my husbands grilled cheese looked like a dead raccoon on a Barbecue and I mean that it was burnt as he'll my sons burger was way overcooked and the waitress didn't bother to do anything about it

Dropped in for a late breakfast during the Christmas weekend, good old Denny's. This place was here when I lived in Miami back in the seventies and still packing them in after all these years. A kind older waitress with a charming accent led me to a table and produced a cup of coffee. Denny's has a menu for us seniors, they get a medal for that. Ordered a two pancakes, two sausages and two scrambled eggs combo for $5.99 that kept me stuffed for several hours. The place continued to fill as time went on so they were hopping. Long dry spell until cup was reloaded. Would you like more coffee? Yes please. They were standing in line as I was leaving. Reasonable prices in high-priced Coral Gables.

No parking, terrible service, didn't even look at us for 10 minutes, food was mediocre, eggs were overcooked, grits were tasteless.

  • Enrique S.

Not much comment on the food, since it is almost the same thing in all over Denny's dinners. However, they need make serious modifications on the way the run the kitchen, since it is the heart of the restaurant, should be delivering the food on time and together, not with different timing, disappointing customers.

A pleasant surprise and relief from the $prices on the Mile. Service was good, food was fresh, tasty and hot, prices very reasonable. if you can get over your image, rid your paparazzi, come enjoy a root beer float. Still wish they would change their name! :)

Pretty much what you expect from a Denny's - Cheap food to cure a hangover. Parking here is pretty scarce especially on the weekend. You're best bet for parking near here is on of Giralda which is one block sourth of the Denny's. There is normally street parking available or you can park in the garage there too for $1 an hour.

red alert....if you park your car here it can....and mine was towed away to a warehouse in the "hood" section of miami. $179 + $50 for a cab. never again.....pls don't make the same mistake i did....an innocent patron dining in this dump, get out to the parking lot.....my car was gone. absolutely unacceptable.

You may argue that a Denny's is a Denny's and if you have been to one, you have been to all - Sometimes, I get the urge to eat breakfast food for lunch, there is something quite alluring about fried eggs, over easy with toast and maybe even a stack of pancakes. The food is good the service is OK. after all, a Denny's is a Denny's but this one is in the Mile so I can walk to it, and I like that.

I came here on the 4th of July for dinner after seeing the Biltmore Hotel fireworks show (which I highly recommend), knowing that unlike most places, they'd be open. There is a small parking lot in the back, but you'd probably be extremely lucky to find a spot. The service was rather slow, and the waiter was extremely impatient. Not even his suave Jimi Hendrix-like voice could save the day, as he would promptly walk off if you hesitated in placing your order or had any degree of uncertainty or questions. The place was not that full, but he had a small argument with a cook, so that made me even more uncomfortable. The food was your usual Denny's fare, it was warm, which usually is not the norm. When your waiter keeps pacing, fidgeting, and taking off though, you just feel rushed and unwelcomed, and that's not a good feeling.

First time at a Denny's and all the hype behind the commercials and new yorkers saying they want one in the city, this place was a major letdown. My boy and I just got back from Cuba and decided to grab a quick bite before we caught our flight back to NY. Denny's didn't really give the welcome or quality level of food I expected. The waitress put us in a booth with broken seats, didn't tell us about any specials until we asked (several minutes after we waited for her to return), and the fact that we didn't order drinks we didn't get water either. Hmm The 2nd star is for the outlet service....they let us charge our phones and for that you get 2*. Food: 2/5 Service: 1/5 (messed up our order and still charged us for her mistake) Location: 3/5 Cleanliness: 2/5 Cash and credit happily accepted...but I won't be going back.

Everything in coral gables shuts down so damn early! And even on the weekends! Ugh! Well that leads to to tell how I wound up dining here one night! I'm not a huge Denny's kind of guy. I'm a little to bougie to be eating at anybody's Denny's however when you are left with the choice of starving until the morning or driving to Miami to get some food. I choose Denny's lol the service was actually very good and the place was packed on a late Friday night going into Saturday morning! The skillet I ordered was awesome! Extra cheese and hot sauce pleeeaasseee! Anyways I stayed at the Hyatt in coral gables and this was within walking distance from the hotel which was a plus! Whoot whoot! If I am ever in the coral gables area again and need a late night grub I just may return :-)

The food here is always hot, and pretty good. If u can look beyond the LIMITED parking lot and the LONG waiting ( usually only in the AM hours) then ,u will definitely enjoy this place. Been here a couple of times and the waitress/waiters are always friendly and attentive, even with the busy atmosphere.

This an old building in high end community of Coral Gables. Quite nice location and nice historic building. Pleasant environment, friendly staff and good food On a bad note it was 9 am and the floors were very dirty, sticky and looks if not been mopped in weeks. Same with the men's bath room which smelled like urine. So strong was the smell of old urine we almost walked out. It's a shame because this place is quaint. .. poor management. .. come on get it right and business would be better.

Since we started to commute from Midtown to Coral Gables, this Denny's has become a regular breakfast stop. Its clean, the staff is nice (if not sometimes kind of slow), always a solid place to come for a no surprise kind of breakfast. The Grand Slam has some "healthy" options, I am not sure how healthy they are but hey, its Denny's. Its always pretty abundant and I end up eating half. Not bad at all.

    (4)
  • Spencer A.

If its a Denny's should it be reviewed on a different scale? I don't think so. This Denny's is filthy. The floors, bathroom, tables need a thorough cleaning. The food is inexpensive (cheap) and tasteless. The service is very friendly but not attentive. The problem is that Miami is a very tough place to find a breakfast place open before 8:00 AM. Would love to have some suggestions where you can find good, wholesome food served in Coral Gables early in the AM. Miracle Mile is full of chains now. We need a healthy (organic) alternative to Starbucks, Panera and Einstein's that opens at 6:00 AM.

Really the only time i go to dennys is after a late night of drinking and going out. If you want a place to get hydrated and get some greasy munchies to get you back on your feet...drive no further. The food is your average american diner type. With the 2, 4, 6 dollar menu you can pay a little for a lot. Breakfast food is served all the time for us breakfast lovers. The service is on and off....even at 2am. The food takes a bit to come out but if your with friends trying to recall the night then it shouldn't be a big deal. Just don't expect anything and enjoy the end of your crazy night with some mozzarella stick grilled cheese...lets think about this...cheese sticks deep friend inside a grilled cheese sandwich...cheese on cheese action...yea...

In my opinion, Denny's no matter where you go are pretty much the same. A few things set them apart from each other like service, quality and decor. This Denny's being set on Miracle Mile is pretty and clean but the service can be spotty. Lunch time can get a bit busy here and then I would forgive spotty service a bit, but this was not the case on my latest visit yesterday. Early lunch time maybe even a little bit before noon and there weren't too many people eating yet. Our waitress was nice but seemed so distracted, it took her two or three times passing the table to remember we needed drinks. We called to her and reminded her but to no avail. Regardless, the food came out hot and right and we were in and out within the hour. I will be back, but just because it's the only place to get pancakes whenever your tummy desires.

denny's is an american classic, kinda like groundhog day. i love denny's for their breakfast items. their pancakes are close to perfection & the hash browns are pretty awesome. outside from that, nothing terribly gnarly about it. good ol' american dining at reasonable prices. great after a night of drinking too!

  • Cristina S.

It's Denny's, so the bar is pretty easy to hit. Our large party of 8 was seated in the back so we barely saw our waitress. She took our order, brought it, & was off. No refills, no water. It wasn't that busy, but I guess i can just chalk it up to it being Denny's.

So after going out last night and having a few drinks I had a craving for something to eat. After mentioning a few places, we decided to get Denny's since it was close to our house, besides we always used to pick up food here in our earlier college days. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has gone down. My boyfriend had the club sandwich and the bread was somewhat soggy. I had the chicken fingers which weren't as bad but they were over fried and the chicken meat was hard. So, on top of the fact the Denny's food isn't the healthiest around and that it wasn't that good I think we'll be staying away for a while.

"Kuluina pirya il quel!".... "KULUINA PIRYA IL QUEL!!!!"..... "IL QUEL!!!!!"*... I expected a band of just and fair elves from Middle Earth to save me and chant this as I walked into Denny's that morning, which is decked out in Hobbit specials this November and December in anticipation of the new Hobbit movie coming out, but alas I was not saved and walked to my doom at Denny's which apparently is now the equivalent of Mordor. My journey to Denny's Restaurant seemed very typical for a Saturday morning. It began after a few friends and I finished a jog along Key Biscayne. Hungry for nourishment and on a budget, we decided to venture off to the Denny's on Miracle Mile. The first thing I noticed when arrived was the lack of parking. My friend mimicked what she saw and parked directly behind a parked car. I decided to park at a meter and put in exactly $1 for $1 hour out of habit. Up to that day, I had not been at a Denny's for years, but I liked the small-town breakfast diner atmosphere. What I especially liked were the Hobbit specials. I am a huge fan of the Lord of the Rings franchise, so I was able to picture myself in a modern Miami-esque shire waiting for Bilbo Baggins, Sam, and Frodo to magically appear.... Mmmm.. Shire sausage! Pumpkin pancakes! Lemon poppy seed French toast! I had a sudden craving for comfort food and decided to build my own grand slam, made up of all these premium 49 cents extra items. Our food came out in about 20 minutes, which seemed to be a long wait time for Denny's, but while we were eating, one of their workers came to our part of the diner and screamed, "DOES ANYONE DRIVE A GRAY HONDA CIVIC?!". I thought Rohan was being attacked by the way she was screaming. My friend blushed, raised her hand, and went out the front door to move her car. I could tell she was a tad bit embarrassed. Overall, my food was very scrumptious. My shire sausage was basically a juicy Italian sausage. The pumpkin pancakes were very fluffy and had really creamy pumpkin cream on the top. My lemon poppy seed french toast was the highlight of my meal. The icing was warm. The toast was fluffy. It was heaven in the form of lemon bread. I also had some hash browns, which were only crisp on the top. I wish they were crispy throughout this portion of the meal. As we were finishing brunch, my friend ordered an extra glass of orange juice for the table. However, when we received our bill, we were perplexed. We were charged for each individual glass. "WHAT?!", I was angry, felt betrayed... okay, I am being overdramatic, but I thought it was our waitress' responsibility to let us know that there were no free refills. "$5 for orange juice, I felt jaded when we could have just ordered the jar." Our receipt also charged us for red velvet poppers, instead of the pumpkin pancakes, but they were about the same price, so I did not really care. In summary, our meal was delicious. I just think minor details need to be worked out. Their staff was also friendly and worked hard for the most part. BTW, for those who do not speak Elvish, "Kuluyina pirya il quel!" translates into "Orange juice not good!" It was all right, but for the price we paid, it was honestly highway robbery.

Definitely not the kind of place you want to go to for food. I found a long black hair in my order of hash browns. I nearly swallowed it. This place is a health hazard. The waitress had an attitude, the tables were extremely dirty, and just an overall bad experience.

I've had breakfast before and the service is what you expect, but today it was too much, let's begin. 1 cold coffee. 2. Moons over my Hammy looked like a monkey made the sandwich. 3. The restrooms out of everything (soap, hand towels, toilet paper) and a mess, they looked and smell like a murder seen. They server/hostess sat us in a dirty table that I had to ask her to clean it for me before delivering the food and drinks to the table. #foodnightmare #healthinspection #dinnerfromhell

I expected much more than I received. I thought that burguer was going to be spectacular but so far away. It was so dirty, not only the table tops, also the benches and all around you. The servers were helpful and the milkshakes the best. But the rest it seems that the manager don't pay attention.

This is a very nice Denny's cause this is the only one in the coral way area plus it's nice cause you get to see the coral way view from the windows special the big pink tree outside.

Every time I go to this Denny's I leave annoyed. And, I only go because its the closest one.... I went there last week, and I stood at the counter waiting to be seated for around 5min while the waitress stood at the register talking to a customer about some personal story without acknowledging me, or letting me know she'll be right with me.. She definitely saw me, and made no attempt to acknowledge me. I stood there looking around, and I didn't see anyone being served. Some customers looked aggravated. Needless to say, I just walked out. The service at this location is always spotty, and unreliable! This place needs to clean up its act! I'd rather ride my bike a few miles south on Dixie to the Denny's on Dixie Highway from now on, instead of going to this Coral Gables waste of space!

At Denny's diner, you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner even on holidays and throughout the night. Denny's was initially spelled as Danny's but later it was changed to Denny's to avoid any confusion with Los Angeles based coffee chain Coffee Dan. Today, Denny's franchise outlets are operational in 1700 locations, mainly in the United States and other parts of the world.
