This place is amazing. I keep coming back. Drinking wine with breakfast make feel Europian. Must try the croquetas and boquerones!!!

This is a great family restaurant. Not fancy. Unpretentious. Just good food at good prices. Good service, extremely friendly. It also has a market in-house, you can purchase Spanish foods (store and prepared) and articles imported from Spain. Would like to return and recommend.

Just stopped in to redeem my Groupon for Delicias. I'm not sure why we haven't come here more often since moving a few blocks away. This place has great breakfast treats. Typical Spanish delicatessens. I went with the traditional tortilla con chorizo and a side of 2 croquetas con jamon y chorizo. They both came out quickly and the tortilla was nice and hot and had the perfect consistency - a mixture of a touch of creaminess and fluffiness. I love croquetas and these were by far the best I've had in a while. The chorizo gave it an extra kick. Also very airy and fluffy. Also had a natural OJ which was pretty refreshing and ended it with an espresso. We also shared a jamon and chorizo empanada, which was pretty huge- we were able to split between 3 people, which was great bc we were all pretty stuffed with our meals. All in all the food was great. I took off a star because although the food came out quick and was delicious, the waitress wasn't all that attentive. It wasn't bad service just not the best. We will however, keep this on our list of breakfast spots. After breakfast we looked through the market and room some Chorizo to grill at home. Parking is metered but there is plenty on 41st Street, and the restaurant has plenty of seating which was great because I expected to be more cramped. I remember coming here years ago with my grandparents and it being much smaller so perhaps they expanded. But it was a pleasant surprise.

I love this place, and its siblings. Delicias de España certainly lives up to its name. I was introduced to it by friends from Spain. There is enough on the menu to suit anyone's taste -- from adventurous to conservative. Bread, crispy and hot. Wine, lots to pick from. Desserts.......save room. My favorite is a simple platter of cold cuts, bread, cheese and a glass of wine. They have REAL jamon serrano (not what you get at Publix), excellent chorizo and manchego. If you like the Spanish tortille (an egg omellette pie) this is the place. But the most interesting part of the trip comes after the meal when you shop in their little Spanish grocery store featuring things from Spain. This is the place that people from Spain go to to buy the things they miss from home. Lots of new things to try.

We have been to Delicias since its humble beginnings. This morning when I reviewed our check I noticed a $2.00 charge for onions. My wife had asked our server to add onions to her omelette. So after growing the business to three locations, the owners of this family $$ restaurant hits its customer for a $2.00 (22% surcharge) on a $9.00 breakfast item, for Florida-grown onions¿?

This is one of my favorite restaurants. When my sister used to attend UM, we would go to this place every time I visited Florida (I live in California). I love ordering a variety of tapas and having lots of dishes to eat from. Their tortilla, empanadas, and pulpo a la gallega (Spanish octopus dish) are particularly good. The waiters are polite, helpful, and attentive. They also have an attached store that sells a wide variety of delicacies. Highly recommended.

Woke up on a Monday morning craving for fresh squeezed orange juice. Came to this place, walked in, ordered 2 OJs, went to the register and paid 9 dollars for 2 very small cups of orange juice. Palacio de Los Jugos sells orange juice for a very reasonable prize and amazing amounts. Cmon, over priced

I'm beginning to think that Miami is a magical place. I have found the most delicious and authentic restaurants here and Delicias de España is a perfect exalple. As soon as you open the door is like stepping into a portal to Spain, they recived you with a bar in the entrance with a few cold Tapas and paella along with a delicious assortment of sweets to go with their delicious espresso. To your left from the bar you will find the most amazing selection of Spanish goods, from Ibérico ham de Bellota, Serrano ham, sausage of world class that you would find in the best spanish stores in spain, to paella pans, rice from spain, saffron, traditional China and cans of all kinds of sweets and cooking! Also you will find great cheeses that will go great with anything and will satisfied any cheese craving you may have, Ibérico loins of different brads, chorizos and more. But before you buy anything for your paella making and Tapas, step into their little restaurant and be prepared to have your taste buds blown away,(especially if you been to spain) Though the pictures I took are simple, the taste is amzinfmg and as good and authentic as it gets. Good wines and incredible food at a very reasonable price. The service is also well paired with their whole creation of Spain in the middle of nowhere, a little strip mall that you would pass by a million times with out knowing or imagining that there is such a great restaurant-market there. If you live in Miami, come to this place for breakfast, lunch or dinner, it would blow your mind away. If you are visiting, make it a must stop in your itinerary and experience Spain in every bite, is like taking a bite off Spain.

Had a quick bite here today and an amazing experience! Very fresh cut to order Jamon iberico and manchego cheese sandwich which had the best baguette to make it perfect. Very good tortilla española as well. Great service, a little pricey but worth the visit! Will be coming back here for sure!

This is the perfect place to get an egg with Serrano ham or chorizo. Served with fries.. Deep fried potato rounds not real fries and coffee. The potato rounds are really different and worth the calories. Fresh orange juice and a ton of Spanish items you won't find too many places. It's on the expensive side for breakfast. Atmosphere is casual and most everyone speaks Spanish. Parking tight as usual in this area. If staying at The Biltmore it's a 25 min lovely walk.

This place has delicious food. This place is definately a hidden GEM. If you're expecting some trendy spot, I wouldn't recommend this. However, if you're easygoing, enjoy delicious ethnic food and great drinks at a reasonable price, definitely try this spacious place. Once a server comes to your table you are greeted with bread and butter. I would recommend the chorizo omelette and the chorizo croquettes, they are out of this world! The only downfall this joint has, is the servers are EXTREMELY slow and not organzied. Reason being, they take VERY LONG to attend you, bring you the food, bring you the tab, and pretty much the overall server experience is slow- they are nice though. Also, the decor needs some updating. I'm a fan because the food is so delicious but I honestly wish they had a more efficient staff.

Delicias de España is a hub of Spanish culture and gastronomy. Upon entering this location, you will notice the many sub sections here. To the far left, in a separate room, there is clothing and toiletries. Still to the left but in the main room, groceries, pottery, olive oils, miscellaneous canned and boxed foods from Spain. In front of you, a lit showcase for wines and whole serrano hams. To the right, there is freezer with frozen seafood and some meats, and next to it, a display for hams, sausages and other packaged deli items. If you overcome your temptation to go shopping right away, maybe you can move into the next room, the dinning room. This room is also a conglomerate of many areas. As you walk in, you see baked goods, the famous Spanish tortillas and empanadas, cakes and desserts. If you keep going, a large refrigerated area with cheeses follow. After making it this far, someone will ask you at this point if you want to sit down, or if you need help at the bakery. I have dinned here a few times. I don't think the food here is good. This is a cafeteria style restaurant, where things are thrown around but nothing has attention to detail. Very basic Spanish cuisine is served here, dishes that either have olive oil and garlic, a red wine sauce, or items garnished with red pimentos. Traditional Spanish cuisine, yes. Good food, no. Also served: classic soups, salads, lots of shellfish, lots of fish from Spain, and staples of traditional Spanish cuisine. Since Spain is famous for wine, I may be inclined to recommend some wine and some tapas, but this is not a tapas bar, or a wine bar. You could use it as such, but there isn't much of a "scene" here. I think your best bet is to come here to get a snack, or maybe some of the more exotic "Iberico" ham in a sandwich or a tray. With all that said, this place is great if you want to take some Spanish hors d'oeuvres. You could pick up some tortillas, some empanadas, some hams, chorizos, and cheeses. And then some of the cakes. People will appreciate this, because these do taste good while everything else falls by the wayside. Then you can stop by the groceries, pick up some oils, olives, sardines, preserves, turrones, and you can have an all around Spanish Mediterranean soiree. Even though this place is a great spot to pick up some groceries, paella necessities (they have everything needed to make paella, even the pans), some good wines and some good charcuterie, I will not give them more stars because the food served in the dinning room is subpar. Contradictory, considering I recommend taking some baked goods? Maybe. Then again, we are talking about Spanish culture here. I rest my case.

I've been coming here for about 20 years; it's the closest you'll get to being in Spain while remaining in Miami. The shop pretty much has every specialty food item you could want. Whenever I'm back home for the holidays, I make it a point to stop in for my favorite, pinones; you can find turrones everywhere during the holiday season in Miami (albeit, the cheaper ones...Delicias definitely has the broadest selection of those), but, that I know of, you can't get pinones anywhere else. Additionally, have you bought one of their omelets?! Wow! They are delicious, gigantic and exactly the way Spanish omelets should be. If you're in the area and haven't had breakfast, go buy one for yourself (and a few friends), get a loaf of their delicious bread, cut a piece of that bread, cut a slice out of that omelet, make a sandwich and enjoy!! Let me know how it goes!

Finding my way all the way to South Miami from South Beach during rush hour was no easy task, but was absolutely worth the time and effort. Even the Uber driver remarked the same. Such adventures are my lifeblood. Q U E | H E R M O S A | C O S I T A S : In an unassuming shopping center, next to a drug store that has remained for 40+ years, Delicias de España has the best choices in all things Española in Miami, from panadería, embutidos, wine to sip, olive oils for tasting, paella, muñecas, rope de bebé and even the familiar pink bottle of Colonia Natural that I recall from my girlhood. Handmade goods, ephemera and a full service restaurant serving Spanish luxury breakfasts all day, lunch, dinner and Cortaditos next to a snack. You can leisurely peruse the menu. Spanish is the first language used here. The ambiance and essence will be a reminder that the Spanish people like to live fully, eat fully, and experience life fully, with all her flavours, colours, sounds and feels. Picky eaters need not apply. Like a traditional, old-fashioned eatery in Spain, next to the the deli counter, bountiful meats hang from the walls and ceilings. You can purchase and take home any of the things you see or eat. You can find holiday gifts, classic menthol lozenges or anise candies, too. For the brave, of course. And no one in their right mind would leave here sin Jamón Serrano o Ibérico, unless you're Kosher or Halal or vegan, naturally, but the menu doesn't only stop at hams and other meats. You can find other items to suit your palette. But I shan't tell a lie, Spanish cuisine is very carnivore-centric. Though, there are great choices in vegetable and fish dinners, too. G A S T R O N O M I C A : The Bocadillos (sandwiches) are tremendous, made with crusty breads. I recommend, for a starter, the Croquetta Bacalao (codfish!) and/or Jamón y Chorizo (.60¢ --yes, you read that right.) The Quiches de Espinaca (Spinach quiche) is also a worthy choice (.90¢--again, yes, that's right.) For main service, the Pulpo a la Vinagreta (Octopus in vinaigrette), Tortillas (omelets, 10$-15$), Platos Fríos, Pote Asturiano (Asturian Stew, $6), Potaje de Lentejas (Lentil Stew, $6.00) and for a sweet topping, the Tarta de Santiago, made with almonds is a great choice. The food is rich, but of high quality, and can fill you up quickly, so I shared with my party of four. You can opt for small servings from their bakery case or a cake for a family dinner or party. They offer catering and home delivery, too. I like that they sell all the culinary items and kitchen accoutrements you need to recreate these delicious Spanish dishes at home. P.S. : Spanish fútbol plays on the tv screens in the main eating area. P.S.S. I was very disappointed with the food here. The service was also not good and they took forever to process my check. Since I am Spanish and came from another city I was very excited to try the food here, hoping it would taste authentic but I was rather very disappointed. And the prices are not cheap.

Breakfast very very yummy here! It felt like I was transofrmed back to when I was studying abroad in Spain. The food came out quickly and the staff was so cute to my out of town guests who didn't speak a word of Spanish. Parking was pretty simple but we did go on a holiday - so I am not sure the nornal typical scene here. The dish I liked the most was scrambled eggs with serrano ham. Yumo! Wasn't the biggest fan of the croquettes

I came to pick up a birthday meal for my mother's 80th birthday. She had been craving a Spanish style cod dish and what is a daughter to do. I chose this place because of the reviews. I called a day before to place an order. The day of, I waited over 20 minutes at the restaurant. The service by Tanya was below average. Maybe she forgot to place my order? It didnt matter, it was for my mom. Two days later my mom told me not to order from this place again. She didnt want to say anything to me and was going to call the restaurant herself to complain. I ordered cod a la Viscaina. Portion was extremly small. There was more sauce than fish. The side of boiled potato took 3/4 of the dish. NOT worth the price and disappointment.

Been waiting for a table for the past 30 minutes, when there's clearly a table open... Crappy Attitude as well, pretty disorganized. Sucks... For a Mother's Day they should've been ready. Already with the service I am not coming back. Let's see if the food makes it up...

One of the best kept secrets of Spain's food and supermarket. Most people don't know you can order online and have it delivered to your house. Overall the place is great, not a fancy place to eat. Don't expect anything high class. I had various things and the only that was not to my Spaniard standards was the Tortilla (too dry) and the Crema Catalana had the caramel burned. Service is excellent, the bread served at the table is made in house. Also the one they sell to go. As for the supermarket it has most of the basic Spanish foods at really decent prices. I bought things to bring back to PA. Go check it out, you will not regret it.

I used to run between 8 and 10 miles very early on Saturdays with a group of friends. After our run we had this routine of coming to eat breakfast at Delicias. The omelettes are incredible and tasty. The manchego, the Serrano ham delicious. This is as close to REAL Spanish food from Spain as you can find in Miami. And don't forget to have your breakfast with a toast and the magnificent cafe con leche.

I have been there a few times before and find the food to be greasy. The potatoes are swimming in oil which makes everything else unappetizing. The bodega does carry a nice assortment however be careful with what u buy. I bought a large box of "polvorones surtido" which I gave to my mom - she opened it after. They were old & full of bugs inside. The box appeared to be sealed. I was so embarrassed. I took them back w my receipt & the owner, the little fat old man said since its a seasonal item he can't exchange or give me a refund. I was very angry. Other items in jars are pickled this & that which is just over priced. I find no need to return to any of their locations.

The breakfast is amazing! Heavy.... But amazing! Those eggs with serrano and andaluz sauce are GOOD! And the little spanish market is pretty nice. I do have to comment on their chocolate and churros... Which are terrible with no flavor at all... But breakfast is yummy!

  • Mitzy R.

What a great place! Food it's excellent and also the store have plenty of choice to take home from olives, olive oil to churros. The only bad thing it's that it's always busy and parking can be extremely frustrating. But besides that anything you order will be great. Except the "croquetas" I rather eat the ones from Versailles. Every breakfasts order comes with coffee and bread. The OJ was delicious and the got chocolate just like been in Spain.

Very, very limited menu. Everything on their main course menu had seafood in it. The rest of the menu was pages and pages of apptizers. The place is decent and the store is nice.

I noticed this place last weekend when I was in the neighborhood and decided to make my way back tonight for dinner. I was pleased with the quality of the food here. They have a Spanish market on one side with a bunch of canned goods, meats, etc. On the other side is a little restaurant with a pretty intense array of baked goods behind the counter. I had the bocadilla with some delicious ham, chorizo, manchego, and tomato. It was a simple dish, but all the ingredients were quality and I enjoyed it. It's cheap too ($17 for 2 sandwiches and drinks). The wait staff did their best to accommodate us not speaking Spanish (which we appreciated). We would definitely come back.

I just had the most amazing breakfast here: two fried eggs, jamon serrano, potatoes and coffee. Sounds basic, but the favors were out if this world. The price is a little higher than most Hispanic breakfasts. However that won't hold me back from eating breakfast here again.

  • Frank T.

Came for breakfast and was very disappointed. Had fried eggs, potatoes and sausage with cafe con leche. My eggs, to say the least, were cooked by a novice chef. One of the eggs was cooked extremely well done to the point the yolk looked like a biscuit. The other egg was cooked sunny side up medium to well done. The eggs were placed on a mound of what seemed to be 5 sliced potatoes and just thrown on the plate. Furthermore, with one small Vienna like sausage, the iberian sausage as the side meat was not as tasty but better then having to down 5 potatos . I don't honestly understand why this place gets packed except for the fact of the mysticism that all there products are from a foreign land far far away!

This is one of three locations of this restaurant/store. They have some of the best jamon Serrano in all Miami. And truly authentic dishes. Having lived in Spain and grown up in Puerto Rico (where there are a lot of Spanish restaurants) I can tell you that this place is a great little casual restaurant. Mi standby is the Serrano manchego chorizo and tomato sandwich, but their specials are almost always good too. One minus is that the service is sometimes a bit slow. But that's also very Spanish.

The food hits the spot if you are really desperate but there are better places to go for Spanish food. The only thing I really like eating there are the serranitos, so tiny, so good! This place has excellent bread (I'm talking about the pan gallego) and excellent desserts. I love to buy their passion fruit mouse cake and the turron cake. They have a beautiful presentation and an even better flavor. Delicia de España is also a great resource for Spaniards living in Miami if they need to buy ingredients, grocery items, personal products, and treats. They all come at a cost, they are way more expensive that if you were to buy it in Spain but what can do about that? Not much really but I can't help but feel like I am getting cheated. Either way I will continue to visit and buy all my Spanish supplies at Delicias de España.

Jamon serrano!. Need I say more..lol. This place is a one stop shop for all things Spain. It is a restaurant, food market and store in which you will find things imported from Spain. My husband loves this place and brings home jamon serrano any chance he gets. They even have a great selection of wines and cheeses too!

I am from Spain and have to admit the food is genuine. I usually go for breakfast but on many occasions. Although I loved the food, the service fluctuates. Sometimes it is great and others... Let's just say it's a miracle I've been back. Even through these hiccups, the food is very well worth it though and the hot chocolate is super yummy.

I dream of returning to Spain, and everytime I get that little tickling urge, I go here and settle down a bit. I love the way it looks inside, I love the shop, I love hearing the spanish accents from some of the employees, and as far as the food goes, it has been nothing but delicious! The service has always been pretty good regardless of how full they are. They can get pretty full. These are some of the items I have eaten here: -Slice of tortilla -ensalidilla rusa -some sort of seafood salad they have -paella -bocadillo (sandwich) with serrano ham, manchego, and chorizo. -potaje (bean stew) All have been really delcious. Then, I wash it all down with a yummy cidra (cider). My favorite thing to do is order a few tapas and share. If you want more, you order it, and they bring the cold tapas out fairly quickly. So pretty much you can eat as you go. They service is pretty chill. I like it like that. Its European. Thats they way they roll. If we are in a hurry we just let them know and they don't dilly dally. Worst part is the parking in back but you'll manage.

With Madrid on the brain, this place jumped out at me when I was driving down Red Road. I pulled a U-Turn, scrounged up some quarters for the metered parking, and went to check it out. With wide-eyes I perused the shelves of food staples I had grown to love while living in Spain. From the market, I only grabbed some turron to bring home for the holidays but will definitely be back to stock up on more sweet treats, spreads, and Spanish ingredients when I'm back in town. Then my nose got the better of me. I could smell the tortillas sitting out and the bread toasting in the cafe. I couldn't resist a jamon y queso bocadillo. I didn't realize until after that you can get a variety of sizes, but I'm happy I got a big one. I definitely would have wanted more if I went for a downsize. They served it warm and with just one bite I was transported back to Europe where ham is actually ham and not that processed stuff from Oscar Meyer. The arrangement of cakes and empanadas in the cases, and the array of food people were enjoying in the seating area all looked delicious. They have an awesome catering menu that I'd definitely take advantage of when I need to bring something to a party.

Yum! Food was great, service very polite and attentive, if a little slow, and the dessert - OMG. Thank you for making the lightest cheesecake I have ever had. Normally I detest cheesecake but it came with the "Special" meal and was delectable. Love the paella pans on the wall!

I have gone a few times and although the sandwiches are yummy they are a bit expensive for the tiny size. I enjoyed coming here but nothing to go out of my way for....if I am in the area then perhaps I'll stop by....

This is one of Miami's hidden gems and my go to place for authentic comida Espanola. This is a wonderful place to come with your family and have a leisurely family dinner, or a few tapas and a bottle of wine. Very relaxed and comfortable and the specials are always good, The service is always super friendly and helpful and they always give you a good idea of what to order if you get stuck. Great seafood, great meats, great desserts, all very very well priced, they have it all covered here. This place also doubles as a Spanish food market and you can find anything related to Spanish culture, cooking utensils and food. Great place to shop and take home but really its always nice to have dinner here and spend the time. One of my favorites in all of Miami!

Delicias de Espana is the best tapas restaurant in South Florida. the restaurant also has a Spanish market, takeout counter, and dinning area. the fish, ham, lamb, seafood etc are as authentic as it gets, and like its name, delicious. this is a very casual restaurant on the edge of Coral Gables and Miami.

Wow wow just freaking wow. Our waitress was not only courteous and friendly, but she also provided outstanding recommendations. The sangria is refreshing, the place is generous with their portions. I really enjoyed your medium size cured ham and chorizo plate. Definitely the best tortilla española.

I've been coming to this place since it was just a tiny hole in the wall in the shadow of Allen's Drugstore. The manager is an amazing Spanish gentleman who, back when I was 10 or so would give me these tiny chocolate desserts covered in chocolate sprinkles. Really, the owners are just super nice and always treat the guests like...well, guest, honored guests. I love this place because it reminds me a little of Spain and since my roots extend all the way back to las Islas Canarias, the Basque country, and even Barcelona I find myself feeling at home surrounded by all things Spanish. (Then again I love all things Japanese but I'm not Japanese, not even close...eh, go figure). Anyways, the food is authentic Spanish cuisine, all of it. I csn't even begin to go through the menu since between my family and I we have probably eaten everything on the menu at least four or five times over since they first opened up. So let me just sum up my favorite foods: the tortilla española is amazing, yummy and with a flavor that is not too in your face; the bocadillos filled with chorizo (my favorite Spanish tapa, only second to jamon de Jabugo which they have actually had from time to time) and queso manchego are just such a great lunch treat; and finally the tarta de Santiago which is w classic Spanish dessert made with almonds, it's always perfectly sweet and just chewy enough. I know I've been using a lot of Spanish terms (sorry to the non Spanish speakers) but there really isn't any translation for the names of the foods. As such, I hope you don't get offend it. My advice is to go and try this little slice of Spain. Last time my family spoke to the owner he chuckled when we asked about his creeping domination of the whole block. Mind you he used to just have s tiny whole in the wall! Pretty amazing. Who knows, Allen's drugstore might just be conquered by the Spanish :)

Exceptional food and service. The best olives and cold cuts I've tasted. This place is half restaurant and half grocery store. It doesn't look like much on the outside but it is very upscale once inside. We started with SERRANO HAM, MANCHEGO CHEESE, CANTIMPALO SAUSAGE AND OLIVES PLATTER Followed by a fantastic sandwich: Serrano ham, Manchego cheese and Spanish sausage in baguette

This place is like a restaurant/diner, supermarket, and liquor store ALL ROLLED INTO ONE. This was my last meal in Miami. My friend took me here before she dropped me off at the airport! Like all Miami restaurants, they gave us a solid service completely in Spanglish lol. There are some amazing dishes on the menu. I got "Arroz con calamares" which is rice with squid. At first when they brought it out, it looked kinda bland, but once I put that spoon in my mouth...the flavor EXPLODED in my mouth! Its really rich and the squid complements the flavor of the rice! I also had some Cafe con Leche afterward. It came in a small cup, but exploding in caffeinated bliss! We had a great conversation during our meal, about life and traveling. She wants to go to France and I want to go to Brazil! We also talked about our families and life on the east coast. This place has amazing Spanish wine and liquor varieties as well as specialty meats and lots and lots and lots of amazing cheeses. This HUGE calf's leg with the hoof still attached was $500. That is nuts lol. This is a great place to go for a great meal for lunch!!

We have been patronizing Delicias de Espana for years and have breakfast there often on weekends. We usually order the two egg breakfast which includes ham, fried potatoes, 1 or 2 rolls, butter and café con leche for $7.00 (Used to be less, recently went up. What else is new??) Depending on how full it is, service ranges from prompt to slow, bring something to read and you'll be OK. They also have Eggs Flamenco (I believe this now costs $11 and includes café con leche and rolls) which comes to the table piping hot and bubbly from the oven in red pottery with a layer of Serrano ham at the bottom, lots of tomato sauce, petit-pois and eggs. Wait until this cools slightly and then dig in with the rolls. Beware of light-colored shirts nearby, they're bound to be splattered with tomato sauce and ruined. Occasionally, I'll order their hot chocolate and (baguette) buttered toast. The hot chocolate is not watery, it's made like in Spain, it's very thick and very filling even though the serving is small. I heard a while back that all the dough for their breads comes from Spain, don't know if this is still the case. They also sell churros, two pieces to an order, but I did not like them, they were not as I was expecting them, they were not crunchy as Cuban churros are and those are the ones to which I'm used. We rarely eat lunch or dinner there. While they have a lunch special each weekday, the rest of their regular prices are extremely high. Some could even be considered outrageous. This restaurant has grown tremendously through the owner's (Ernesto) hard work, dedication and business savvy. It now consists of 3-4 spaces, they also have their offices and an import company across the street. There are parking meters all around, there are machines where one pays for parking. Sometimes it might take a couple of drives around the block to find a parking spot. They also sell all sorts of products imported from Spain including a very large assortment of cheeses. They also offer lots of take-out foods such as Spanish omelets, cold shrimp, potatoes aioli, ensaladilla Rusa, cold cuts, fish which I believe is flown in from Spain, sandwiches, cakes and excellent pastries. Their Tres Leches is very good. In the store section you will find lots of varied items from Spain such as pottery, saffron threads, oils, beans, rice, candies, cookies, crackers, even potato chips! As with most imported goods, prices are not inexpensive but if you gotta have it, you'll just have to pay for it. At this time there's no obnoxious loud music playing to annoy one while eating. There's no annoying TV on the premises. Yey!! If the restaurant is very full and everyone's talking the place can get quite loud.

great place ! it's a store, market and restaurant. The jewelry is beautiful and imported from Madrid. Food is great, the best chorizo tortilla i've ever tasted ! The market/store is adorable, it has a huge wine selection, ham, cheeses, olive oils, turrones. ALL THINGS SPAIN here...

  • Andrew J.

This place is as close to an authentic Spanish cafeteria as you will find in Miami... not a trendy reinterpretation. All the typical food you would expect...tortillas, jamon y queso, salpicon de marisco, etc. and Spanish wine and beer too. They also have a market where you can get fresh fish imported from Spain, even an entire Jamon Serrano. Not a sexy date spot at all, but if you enjoy Spanish delicacies you will like it here.

MMMMMMM tapas, there is nothing like them. I so prefer to eat meals this way. If you like something you order another (Please miss, may I have some more?) and if you didn't love something else, you just don't order any more. Sweet deal. Add some sangria to the mix and its a perfect mix for a solid meal. Once you have that, add the best date a girl can have? A fun time, a good laugh and a great meal. The best part is going to the store next door, so many delicious imported ingredients from Spain. I come often to pick up Nora's (a type of dried red peppers) for my paellas. So much more delicious with them.. mmmm.

Really 3 stars for restaurant part and the extra star added to the mini market next door- This is definitely a good place to grab a quick bite and some coffee, just temper your expectations and figure you will be met with decent service and good basic food. The tortilla espanola and the chorizo were pretty good - Some basic Tapas to round up the experience, such as fried sardines or pulpo al ajillo (Octopus in garlic) will always suit my fancy. I must confess that this place will yield 3 or four different experiences, depending on how full or busy it is. We've been on a quiet weekend night and it is a very enjoyable evening definitely worth taking the time to enjoy the food and the company. If it is busier, however, it slides down the scale quite a few notches. If you have some time in the afternoon to enjoy a good conversation with good friends, stop by and have some hot chocolate with churros, it is definitely a great experience in an authentic place. We wouldn't order the Paella here because my wife makes the best Paella, so it is not fair to compare, by the same token, I cannot render an opinion on it. Finally, before you leave spend some time and money in the mini market next door, we always find the right ingredients to entertain, and also for our home made Paella - In the grand scheme of things, we are far better off with Delicias de Espana in Miami than without them ! I am a fan !

I've been coming here for years. The food is amazing. The Caldo Gallego & Fabada Asturiana are out of this world. The soufflé delicias is what desert fantasies are made of. Their customer service needs some help but the food is worth it!

Delicias de Espana is like a slice of Spanish heaven! I work in the Blue Lagoon area, where good lunch locales are quite sparse. More than a year working in the area, my colleague took us here for lunch, and I immediately asked why we hadn't gone there earlier??! I've had the plates of jamon serrano, manchengo cheese, chorizo, tortillas and many other delicious dishes -- all of which were topped off with a jar of sangria! This definitely hits the spot if you're looking for some tasty Spanish cuisine!

Confession: 1. I do not know Spanish food. 2. I do not eat pork which appears in virtually 95% of the menu items, so my choices are limited. But I find this place to be increasingly less enjoyable with each visit. Service is "slow" and the food can be very expensive. But it is always crowded, has a large selection of "delicacies" and assorted Spanish chatchkees. Not a Spencer a favorite, anymore.

Stopped by this place recently and had a quick bite. I was in the middle of so much food and wine the minute I walked inthat I stepped into the deli to escape temptation and not buy everything in the store. I had a mini chorizo and cheese and sandwich. The crema catalana was alright however I would accommodate one of their other catalog looking foods. The mini sandwich was a filling bite, perfect fo a later afternoon snack. This place reminded me of my grandmother. As it is half restaurant/half shop. Now add vampires and it's Delicias. There were even espadrilles. I almost bought a magazine cover from Hola magazine. This is a quick go to for daily and/or special event festivities.

We have been coming to Delicias for at least twelve years. Lately, we have been disappointed consistently. Their prices have gone up and the quality down. This time it was one of their "Turron" and "Nata" cakes, it was obviously at least a few days old, hard and dry, we wont be visiting them again anytime soon, hopefully they will get back to what they used to be when they started.

I have a love-hate relationship with this place. Parking is always a nightmare. The wait staff is hit or miss. Although, it is safe to say that is mostly "miss" than "hit." Service could definitely improve here. Also the tables are crammed into this place, hard to have a private conversation here. It can get really loud. Now for the good parts about this place. The food is delicious. Their paella is amazing and so is everything else on their menu. Try it.

The food is great, but it ain't cheap! They have authentic Spanish tapas and plates, served in a spacious dining room. The quality of the food is great, but there are 2 drawbacks: lack of parking and price (although not really expensive, it just seems like you can spend $15 for lunch and still might leave hungry). I recommend the Tortilla de Papa and the Croquetas. There is also a bodega selling all types of Spainsh items, from Jamón Serrano to shoes.

Delicias de Espana, once a small restaurant and market has expanded and will soon take up half the strip of the strip mall. I ordered the special of the day Thursday 10-6 which was a potato and manchego cream soup, 4 large albondigas with white rice and an apple/cream tart. The food was great, I was only able to finish about half of each portion and the best thing about was.....the price...$8! The Market is full of meats, cheeses, wines, knick knacks and the "impulse" items at the register are zip lock bags of olives instead of gum or mints.

The terrible service makes this potentionally wonderful Spanish experience a downer. I've been here several times, for many years, only because of its great breakfast but today I had my last taste. There were 4 tables being attended to and it took 15min for our waitress to even acknowledge us. We ask for American coffee and after another 10m she places the coffee down, doesn't bother to take our order or even offer us creamer. After attempting to get her attention from her casual conversation w coworker, we asks her to take our order and creamer. The food arrives and is excellent, but for some reason, this girl just doesn't seem to care for customer service at all...not one question was asked as far as our needs being met. I literally had to stand up, interrupt her flirtatious conversation and ask for refill cup of coffee. When we asked for our check, she held her hand up as if to say "wait" and at the point I had had it. The food is GREAT but what should have been a 30m meal turned into an hour long chase for service...in an almost empty restaurant. Do NOT go hungry to this restaurant because it might be an 45-1hr before you get food on the table w much effort. You're better of ordering their tortillas to go and heating it up at home w a cafe con leche. A former loyal customer.

This place is great! They serve trational Spanish food. All the plates are delicious and full of the authentic flavors you would encounter in real Spanish plates. The tortillas are amazing and their shrimp al ajillo is amazing. The market is also very unique giving you a feel of being at a real Spanish market. In this market you can find all the unique food that you can only find over seas such as squids and sardines. If you enjoy Spanish food, then there is o doubt that you will love this restaurant and its market.

Wow. his is a great place. The Staff is really helpful in helping you figure it out if you're not Spanish or if you just have no clue about Spanish food. Luckly we we there with good friends from the area, who guided us along. I also loved the market, it was filled with fun and interesting items. We had so many things to sample, manchengo cheese plate, chorizo, tortillas and many other delicious dishes that were awesome. A must when in Miami.

Bahhh. It's ok. It depends on what you get, it's a hit or miss. Usually a miss. I used to go to the one by the airport. Same thing. They split years ago but neither one has improved the food. Not worth a trip unless you need some stuff from the deli.... Deli is nice.

Excellent place. I felt like I suddenly landed in somebody's home in Spain. I also loved the market, they sell things you would not find anywhere else, like squid ink and Tarta de Santiago. The prices are very affordable and the catering is awesome. I once did my birthday party with all appetizers from there. Outstanding.

Eh, the last two times I have been to Delecias de Espana their quality of food just wasn't the same as it had been in the past. Ex.) Paella plates were smaller, the paella was not individually cooked, and we just got some cold in some spots almost flavorless rice with a few pieces of chicken and seafood on top. Meh I'll give them another try, but not too soon....I've found some other excellent Spanish places to satiate my tapas craving for now.

Im back in Spain. I feel like slurring my S and Z'sss. This place is extraordinary. Their Serano ham, freshly sliced is like pork Sashimi. SO delicate and delicious. I go for breakfast and I feel I may be addicted to the Huevos Ala Flamenco. If you haven't tried it go NOW! Just watch your meter they love writing tickets for even a few seconds expired.

I love Spanish food and I feel like this is one of the few good Spaniard spots in Miami. It's a great place to hit during lunch and grab some tapas or even a full dish depending on your hunger. The best thing about this place is that they have daily specials. EVERYTHING is good especially the seafood. There is one dish that I usually plan my visit around which is the "Lacon" which is a massive ham hock with amazing fries. The set back to this dish is they make a limited amount so you have to get there before 2pm or they're usually out of it. You can even call and reserve a couple if you're going with a group. The Staff is really helpful in helping you figure it out if you're not Spanish or if you just have no clue about Spaniard food. PS there's no beans and rice here... Recommendations: Baby eels Marinated Octopus White Anchovies Any Cheese plate Jamon Serano bocadillo and queso manchego (sandwich with good Spanish ham and cheese) Any of the deserts

my ancestors are Spanish, so it's only fair that i eat Spanish food. i've come here on more than one occasion with the fab, lourdes c. (my restaurant partner & co-founder of 'la cruz roja') this is a cozy spot (attached to a Spanish market). it's got that European feel to it, which is lovely. their tortillas are pretty good and so are their croquettas.

Have not had their food yet, but I love the imported products from Spain. A bit pricy but many things are well worth the extra money, you won't be able to get it at Publix!

This place takes me back to Madrid when I was a kid. The coffee is amazing, and be sure to be there for the morning light through the eastern exposure windows, it's a beautiful scene. It's a great place to compare Cuban food to that of Spain. Many of the recipes are basically the same, but the ingredients are superior. Toast, coffee, and some sliced manchego and jamon serrano comprise a fantastic breakfast or brunch.

Not sure why, but I've never been tempted to sit down for lunch or dinner at this restaurant. Having said that, every time that I drive by I have to stop and bring home some of their specialties. Must try: -The empanadas. No relationship to the usual ones, none. These are large flat pies sliced into four rectangular servings. Try the chorizo, or the bacalao or the tuna, or whichever. All are delicious and vaguely reminiscent of caponata. I prefer eating them at room temperature - Tortillas. Spanish style potato omelets meant to be eaten room temperature as well. Even the plain ones are good but the chorizo flavored is my favorite After you've tried these you'll never be able to settle for the kind which is sold in supermarkets again -Salpicon de mariscos. People who love seafood but find the ceviche too raw for their taste (not my case) will find the Spanish version "just right" and quite tasty. Inexpensive as well, considering for $13/lb it's strictly sea food and condiments without lettuce or other fillers. -Imported Jamon Serrano and Manchego cheese sandwich is simple and tasty, so are most over sandwiches. I'm not crazy about the sausage cooked in Champagne, but that's just me. If you're in the mood for gourmet picnic this is a great place to fill up your basket. warning:parking at lunch time is tricky.

Pretty good...stay away from their soups...gives me the runs. The time before I found hair in some Spanish version of corned beef and cabbage I had....or at least I thought that's what it was... They're popular with their "tortas"y "tapas" (hey let's open up another tapas bar on South Beach shall we!!) If there was a heaven and hell for waiters, that certain dining room at the corner of Red and Bird (with the cheesy-assed port of call mural) would be ground zero for purgatory. Add to this the fact that my waiter's breath smelt like ass. Some other review mentioned having to flag down water boys/food runners to get the waiters attention..this is 100% true and what makes the situation more unbearable is that you can see them in the back playing grab-ass/ shining up the paella pot, ignoring your hand signals all the while.....so word of warning snap & whistle unless you like the taste of lukewarm soup PAN is a different story....i was about to rename the God. We all rejoiced upon eating it. They had these cookies called "alfajores" with dulce de leche filing and coconut flavored....I swear if deli's had those alongside of black & whites and hamentash...there would be no WTF (or frig you) stare.... Did not try paella yet..you'd figure that'd be the first thing a gringo would try..right? They had some lunch-special which I found out in English was soup..so no! That being said....just bypass the dining area (or I guess make a beeline if you already have sat down) for the bakery and/or their sweets section in the market. Expansive wine selections and you get to educate yourself on Spanish appelations..and all the romantic-sounding names therein...

I liked their breakfast but lunch is pretty good too. Better yet, try Vinisimo in Coral Gables (3000 SW 22nd St) for lunch. The prices are inexpensive and the food & Sangria are great. The cold cuts with the warm bread was perfect and they serve the Sangria in a tall glass. Another place is Plaza de Espana (10067 SW 72nd St) delicious hearty Galician soup (it has plenty of meat) and the paella is pretty good too.

I love this little jem! It's about as close to an authentic Spanish restaurant and bodega you can find in Miami. This place really takes me back to my visits to Spain. The manchego cheese and serrano ham are only a few of the traditional favorites you'll find here. Don't leave without eating a Crema Catalana for dessert! It's like a yummy creme brule but much more heavenly

Sooo gooood! i love eating here but more than anything i love picking up one of their enormous spanish tortillas for $12. whenever i have guests over for a tapas night you can expect one of their tortillas on my table. i used to make them from scratch but really there's is so good its not worth the trouble. breakfast is ALWAYS solid here.

Delicias is my favorite Spanish restaurant in Miami. Get the shrimp and garlic tapa, the chorizo tortilla de patatas, any bocadillo (i like chorizo, manchego, jamon serrano, and tomato), the patatas alioli, the shrimp cold salad that's displayed in the case, and the choizo al vino. For dessert, try the Charlotte. IT'S ADDICTIVE! My bf loves it so much that I just had to get it for him in cake form for his bday. He was all smiles to say the least =) Breakfast is especially yummy too. The chorizo and eggs are amazing. If the trout is on the menu and you feel like eating something fresh and light, it's the ticket! After dinner head on over to the market and grab some tuna del norte in a jar...slap that baby on a baguette with some mustard and yummm - o. Also, get some piquinno peppers (red roasted pepper, not spicy) and saute that with some garlic, wait till the concoction gets thick and wala! Makes for a yummy tapa that you can make at home. You won't be disappointed. 4 thumbs way up for Delicias!

Cute Spanish market and deli. They sell bread, cheese, wine, gourmet stuff, and pastries as well. You can order a typical Spanish meal here as well (and they're usually for a better deal than the more expensive Spanish restaurants like Casa Juancho and Casa Paco). Casual, down home ambience. Good and reasonable prices. Metered parking. 3 stars for the food. An extra star for the market.

I've been to this place quite a few times for breakfast. The prices are good and the staff is helpful. Even though the food was good I wasn't wow by it. A little piece of Spain plopped into the middle of Coral Gables. You'll find very decent bocadillos (try the sweet, tender, and garlic-smothered shrimp appetizer) for starters, or the pleasantly bracing gazpacho, which comes accompanied by cubed fresh onions, peppers and croutons. We also shared the fabulous cheese plate--which made me reconsider Spanish cheeses yet again. They lack the enormous variety of French or Italian cheeses, but they do hard cow varieties really well. The blue cheese didn't have that sour/bitter edge that spoils so many American blues, and the manchego wasn't so salty you'd go running for a water glass. I also had the torta with chorizo, which was good but not exceptional. I'll confess I don't know much about Asturian food, so this was a first for me. I do look forward to going back and sampling some of the dishes mentioned by other yelpers, as well as trying the sangria (this was a working lunch, and I couldn't indulge, more's the pity). I really liked their bread; little individual loaves crispy on the outside and soft and light on the inside. I'd like to buy some for breakfast dipping into my caffe latte in the morning (or with a light spread of butter and apricot jam, all'italiana). There's a sweet little shop attached I can't wait to explore, and simple decor is enlivened by huge decorative bottles of Spanish olive oils (supplied with taps for easy pouring and imbibing) and traditional ceramics. Minus one star for the overall lack of bonhomie (lots of business types making a big show of shouting on their cell phones in Spanish, no ass-awareness as people stand to leave their tables and stick their nether regions way too close to your food/face...and just linger there. Getcha ass outta my space, Jack).

Delicias de Espana is a great little breakfast spot right off of the Gables. This supermaket type restaurant serves up traditional spanish dishes like delicious serrano ham and great traditional empanadas. Feeling a little adventurous...okay, maybe not so much, I opted for my usual eggs, cafe con leche, and tostada meal. I also tried the chicken empanada that was pretty tasty as well. For about $5-10 bucks a person you definitely get your monies worth here.

Food is ok. The one word that comes to mind is OVERPRICED.

I've only been here for lunch so my review is based only on the lunch menu. Not sure if the dinner menu is any different. The restaurant has a medium sized dining room with a large deli counter full of yummy cheeses, meats and readymade deli food for takeout. There is also a small grocery store attached that has Spanish delicacies, bottled, canned and packaged. The prices are really too much in my opinion (I'm surprised that some of the other reviewers said the prices were reasonable; I do not find them reasonable at all, at least for the lunch menu and the only reasonably priced thing on the menu is the lunch special which is like $8). The daily lunch special comes with a soup, a meat and side dish, like potato or rice, and desert. You don't get a choice of any of them, you get whatever the special is that day. Every time I've gone I've always gotten the special and it has always been very good. Now, the service, oh yes, the service. I have visited this place maybe 10 times and each and every time the service has been way below my standards (so why do I come back? Because my friend and coworker loves the croquetas here and overlooks the service, and since we take turns picking where to go to lunch, when it's her turn, I'm at her mercy). The hostess that seats you more often than not ignores you so you end up seating yourself and end up getting some nasty looks. The waiters that we've had have been curt and don't visit the table often enough, so you have to flag down someone else to get your waiter or whatever you need. The service is also very slow. The last time I was there (last month); the waiter was SO bad it was comical. I haven't been back since and honestly my coworker was so disappointed with the service that she may give up those yummy croquetas for good and pick another place for lunch. We'll see. On my own, however, I will probably go back for the goodies at the deli or the grocery store, but the restaurant just doesn't draw me enough to overlook the poor service. I noticed that in all the other reviews there was very little mention on the service (good or bad). To me, service is very important and unless the food is out of this world, it will affect my desire to return in a big way. Parking is a headache. There is only street meter parking and it is limited. If there is no spot available we usually just go somewhere else since we're at lunch from work and we know the service is going to be slow, so we don't have time to wait for a parking spot to become available. I'm being generous with 3 stars (it's really 2.5), but I do love their deli offerings.

Am I in Spain? One of the most authentic Spaniard spots. Great breakfast great service. All for a moderate price. I really like how there is a little mart incoporporated into it. I want to come for dinner any recommendations

The last time I ate here was with my parents and family from Boston. I had a great time listen to my "uncle" tell stories about my grandparents, Spain and the crazy things he and my dad used to do in Boston. This is a classy, unpretentious place where "old" (not old like decrepid, but old as in a different type of Cuban that I feel rarely exists) Cuba comes to eat. To me, the food tastes like mom's home-cooking.

We went for dinner and it was pretty late almost closing time on a Tuesday night and the service was just as great as if it would have been prime time. We started off with a nice bottle of wine which they have a huge selection of, and if you ask the staff they will give good recommendations. Then we moved on to the cheese plate with different meats. It was delicious and extremely fresh. The plates are all small tapas style so ordering several things is OK to share. And much better in my opinion gives you an opportunity to taste everything :) we moved on to a slice of their famous tortilla espanola which was perfection and a bowl of their garbanzos which was even better. Had A craving for their marinated olives and the waiter brought them out free of charge. Also tried the mini sub sandwiches that they have and they weren't so mini so careful when u order. We finished after closing time and the staff never rushed us once and let us finish our bottle of wine without feeling awkward. I will definitely be returning to check out the market side of the restaurant which I didn't get a chance to do.

The tortilla espanola is great. Remember folks, tortilla for a lot of Hispanics does not mean that flat little flour or corn disc. A tortilla, for me, is an omelet. They have a great Spanish omelet that is served at room temp and is loaded with potatoes. It is great. They also add Spanish sausage, chorizo, and come with other goodies as well. I also had a great ham sandwich. It is not your American fare but rather a simple, thin sandwich on a very firm baguette type bread. I have never been to Spain but hear, from a Spaniard, that this is an authentic place. A good place to try for a quick, simple lunch.

The wife and I have made Delicias one of our favorite breakfast spots and manage to grab a to-go order or sit down for a full on breakfast at least once a month for the last two years. Walking into Delicias is literally like walking into a cafeteria/market in Madrid and it never disappoints. The huevos revueltos with chorizo, croquettes, bocadittos, huevos flamencos and the strongest cafe con leche in town always help me start my day off on the right note. The market also has amazing Spanish cheeses, wine, meats and dry goods that are all 100% Spanish and the wife and I took advantage and were able to purchase a paella cooking pan as well as paella rice for my mom's B-Day next month. Keep in mind that along with the amazing food the service does rival the service found in Europe so be patient and don't expect your server to hover around your table. Otherwise stop by for a bite and enjoy the experience........

I've been here quite a few times - always with kids in tow. I've had a mixed experience of servers here... One of the biggest booo's was that when we asked the server for H20 - he brought us 5 bottles of water - now we were three adults - one 2 yr old and a 6 month old. I looked at him and said - do you serve tap water here?? I found this a bit distasteful in server etiquette. Normally I'd throw you a star or two, just for this, but I have been back several times, and had some decent servers. Mas que eso - the tapas are always top notch, and they have some tuna sandwich thing with crunchy lettuce wrapped in smoked salmon that is so true to a Barcelonian tapa that I really have to give you three stars. I think the store is quaint and somewhat overpriced (but then again I'm comparing it to stores in Spain) but they have a nice selection of canned, smoked, and homemade items to bring home with you. The croquettas are packaged and frozen, and are quite delicious. We've tried the bacalo, ham and chix and all are a hit. Parking is also quite an issue here - there's street parking in front, and some random unmarked spaces to the southwest of the store. I really like the little liquor store next door as it's also quaint and very personable. Give it a try - it sounds like b-fast is the way to go here, but for tapas I give it 4 stars - for service I'll stay around 2.5

Heaven, the only place I have found serving Jamon Iberico. Go just for that but bring lots of cash. Better yet, get it to go and get twice as much, buy a bottle of Rioja and take it home. The stews, rabbit and veal, are excellent when available. The paella is so-so. The rest of the tapas are hit and miss. The Ensalada Rusa is excellent but the cold seafood dishes are only fair at best. The tortilla is better than most but not great. The wines that they serve are fair but you can also grab a bottle of the shelf in the attached store and have it with your meal for a small fee. The only problem is that the wines in the store are overpriced. The best dessert is the Torta Santiago.

interesting market but food didn't impress, particularly the octopus decent bocadillo (jamon serrano, manchego, chorizo) and great dessert -- tres leches cake with cream that they call souffle very classic Spanish dishes--pulpo a la gallega, just not seasoned well enough but soft eggs flamenca style -- could have more seasoning whole empanada -- ok horchata -- valencia version, not as good as latin version since more watery overall limited tapas selection for bocadillos check on Xixon or Sabor de Espana however, if you are coming here for shopping, check out all of the jamon ibericos!

Really amicable service. They sell great fresh bread here. It's like a small deli where you can pick up (or get served) authentic imported cold cuts, chorizos, pastries, seafood salads and homemade paella. Not too bad of a wine/sangria selection either...check it out.
