First off approaching in the building is painted with beautiful butterfly & flower. Has a outside dinning with bar patio. Pros: me and my husband have the eggplant parmesan appetizer. The portion is really big and it's made fresh and delicious. Later, we had a personal size pizza with bacon & mushrooms. The personal although small by name don't be fooled. Its is chunky, fresh, & tasty. Due to bar renovation beer & wine is FREE.

Horrible place!!! Placed an order for a small pizza and it wasn't ready when I got there!! So I waited in car for 15 more mins and went back in and still wasn't ready!!! Manager said they had a few orders and could make mine for another hour 1 1/2.....

I had to edit my review, honestly cause the food got bad. Other than the chicken Alfredo nothing else in the menu is worth it. The service is the only thing that I actually like, but I don't think I'll be coming back.

Amazing food, great service and upbeat ambience. Great place to take the kids. The owners were very nice and attentive. The staff were very pleasant and on point. Definitely a must have. We will keep coming back.

Don't even waste your time going to this establishment. My husband and I, with our 2 kids, decided to pop in to this "new" location on a Tuesday night shortly after 6:30pm. We waited roughly 10 minutes to order drinks, at that point, we should have taken the clue and left. After 45 minutes, we still didn't even have our appetizer - a Caprese salad. The waiter came by and said our food was "almost ready". I told him that we couldn't wait any longer, that they needed to learn how to prioritize their take out orders with dine-in customers; which, by the way, was FOUR tables. A 45 minute wait for a salad, a kid's personal pizza and 2 orders of Chicken Marsala that never showed up. Before leaving, I asked for the manager. He proceeded to explain that they make everything from scratch. That's absolutely no excuse. None of the items we ordered take 45 minutes to make. Luckily, we made our way 5 minutes down the street to California Pizza Kitchen on Miracle Mile. Our waiter was at the table the second we sat down, drinks within 3 minutes, appetizer in less than 10, food arrived maybe 10-15 minutes later. In and out in less than 45 minutes. If I could leave a review for Big Louie's with ZERO stars, I would. The worst dining experience, ever.

The pizza, and pasta is delicious, the atmosphere is dark and romantic, the music is awesomeeee! The philly steak pizza is the bomb. Fettucini Alfredo and Chicken goes great with it. They now have a full bar and serve all kinds of drinks. They are fairly new, so service is new but give them a shot. Savor the Garlic Rolls!!!! Highly recommend!!

Around my neighborhood so decided to take out. The pizza was great, calzone AMAZING, tiramisu and garlic rolls on point!! This will be my new neighborhood pizza place! Young lady answering the phone was great too. I am the owner of Donut Divas & Fun Foods a new restaurant as well and do know how hard it is to get things rolling with service and new systems! Good luck to you!!

The pizza was definitely good here but the service is somewhat lacking. Our server brought our meals out while we were still eating the appetizer and then minutes later brought us our salads... And simply said.. These come with your meal... Never once did she ask whether we preferred soup or salad, nor did she so logic fur the mistake she simply had no clue. We were never offered refills and she was never around for us to ask either. The place was super empty too so it's not like she had anything else to do. What else could you expect from a pizza joint?

If you're haven't ate here, you're definitely not living life. Their food is absolutely delicious. The pizza is great and made on the spot of course. My favorite green peppers with chicken! The way they serve the food is unique & fantastic. The inside of the restaurant looks well maintained and modern. Their garlic rolls are delicious! Not to mention they have huge tvs and a bar! This place is good to be out with the boys and have a few drinks for those out there and watch games! Make sure to give this place a visit! You won't regret it!

Big Louie's in Miami is the real deal! Really good pizza and great service! The food tastes really fresh, the way a pizza pie should! I'll definitely be back. It has a pretty hip atmosphere.

3rd and last time coming to Big L. Each time the service and food diminishes. Their was only one server on duty with over 10 tables. We never received our garlic rolls, salad or water after reminding the server numerous times. When we finally received our bread after we finished our meal it was stiff as a rock. I am very disappointed and will not come back to this restaurant.

This review is for delivery. This is my new favorite pizza in Miami. I used to love Slice and Ice in the Grove as it was the most authentic New York style. This is pretty close. Chewy crust well done on outside so its crispy, lots of really good cheese, great sauce, really couldn't ask for much more. I haven't been inside the restaurant, so I can't comment on service, other than to say that the delivery guy was really nice and courteous. With the closings of Miami's Best and the demise of Slice and Ice - you can't do much better than this.

It's a clear case of big dreams and big investment with a very poor management. I feel sorry for the owner of this place. I came when they opened and found the food to be good and in huge plates making it a good value, they took a bit long to bring the food but overall was ok. Been here twice now for lunch and both times the kitchen took close to ONE HOUR to prepare common plates. I will never visit this place again and it's a shame.

Our flight was delayed out of MIA (by like 3 hours), so we were searching for something normal with a bar and decent food to kill time. You could do waaay worse than this- really happy we stumbled upon it (it did not appear in the Yelp restaurant search results). There's an outside bar area that's nice and has TVs, though the road traffic and that it's right under one approach to MIA makes it kinda loud, but then you want to be close to the airport, so... It's mostly pizza and pasta, we went with the calzone- it was huge and really good. They also started us with comp garlic knots that were super garlicky and awesome. They were very careful to remind us that they make their own dough, and both items benefited from that. So it was perfect for what we were looking for, but minus one star for the slow service. The bartender/server was great, but seemed to be working mostly on her own. Hope they get her some help- she was super nice, but not a one-person job. Note that the time on the calzone was a while- slower than expected, but we weren't in a huge rush, so no problem for us.

Truly enjoyed the medium Margherita Pizza. Sauce was flavorful, perfectly cheesy. Crust was well baked, not too flat, not too thin and order came out faster than expected. My husband is a huge garlic fan and enjoyed the free Garlic Rolls. Server was friendly and attentive. We are just visiting Miami for the weekend and happened across this nice little pit stop. Well worth it!

Amazing service, great decor, terrific beer selection, and an entrée menu that is both delicious and reasonably priced? How can you go wrong? Oh, and don't pass on dessert- the tiramisu is the best I've EVER had... and the cannoli is awesome too! Next visit- PIZZA!!!

Visit number 2 was a bit better regarding the staff. Over all extremely friendly and was asked on multiple occasions if I needed anything. Food wise well the fruti de mar (spelling) was less than desirable. No salt on the pasta and the white wine sauce well had no real taste to it. Furthermore the over abundance of calamari thrown in the plate made it look like a plate of Cheerios. Ended up seasoning with salt, pepper, and garlic from the bread.

I pre ordered dinner for my kids and their babysitter. They ignored the time request and delivered hours early. The babysitter told them they were supposed to deliver much later but the delivery person said we must be mistaken. I had tipped them 20% when I pre-paid so that the babysitter wouldn't have to deal with it. I tried 3 times to call them immediately when the babysitter texted me the mistake, furious that my time request was ignored. They kept hanging up on me. The 4th time I spoke with some one and they assured me they would discuss this with the manager, and return my call. I have not heard anything from them and my complaint and phone call has gone un-returned. Horrible service and completely unacceptable.

Avoid this restaurant!! We were staying at Sheraton hotel near Miami airport and on suggestion of hotel ordered from here. The customer service was not good on phone and only got worse! We called and ordered pizza and salad and gave them address of hotel. After an hour we received a phone call from driver and then restaurant saying they could not find hotel near airport. We gave address again and explained that hotel had recommended them so thought they must be close. After another 1/2 hour we called Louie's back and we were told the pizza driver had returned to restaurant and they refused to deliver the pizza. There was ZERO concern from staff working there. We asked for managers name and contacted him the next day and received no Call back. This restaurant could care less about customer service. Avoid at All cost.

I was in the mood for pizza so I found this new place that just opened. I decided to try it out. I ordered a specialty personal pizza which was about 8" inches. "Just about right" the taste was okay, nothing out of this world. I also got an extra ingredient I didn't order (blonde hair) half way into the pizza. This automatically turned me off and I stopped eating. For the $12 I paid I could expect a bit more and less of something. The place looked very clean and nice but that alone doesn't bring customers in the door. Serve was good. They need to step their game up because if they don't they will suffer the same faith of all the other restaurants that have been there in the past. I have mix emotions right now if I would try it again.

Big Louies Pizza was amazing! The address was wrong because they moved but when we found it we weren't disappointed. The slices were big and fulfilling and the staff is really nice! I am definitely a loyal customer now. Would recommend to anyone willing to listen.

The pizza is AMAZING full of flavor and you can actually see the chunks of meat on it! The service deserves a five star without a doubt, the waitress who took care of us was soooo attentive and the cook even came out to ask us how the pizza was. I'm sorry to deduct one start from the review but the bathroom on the day that I went was not at it's best.

Over 1:45 mins to get food delivered! Every Time I called to get an update I was told 20 mins/10 mins/ almost there/sorry/any minute....... I would never order take out from this place or recommend it to anyone. By the time the food got to us it was not piping hot! From reading some of the other reviews it does not seem like the dine in option is any better.

I'm sorry....I don't know what the other reviews are talking about!! This place has great food!!!My family is italian and this place does not disappoint. The service was the total opposite of bad!! The manager served us and was on point the whole time. It was rainy outside and he made sure we sat right next to the fireplace to warm up bc we were all wet. Come and give this place a try, it will become your favorite neighborhood pizza place. The prices are great and the portions are hefty! We were so happy to find this place.

Domino's who!? Other than Mama Mia pizza which is way down south in west Kendall country walk. This is by far my favorite pizza place. Loved the grand opening party they had for the kids in the flagler area. My son's pizza was great. Staff is polite and makes sure your experience is great. Price is not bad at all..

Here for the new times tweet up. Food is excellent, servers very gracious. They have a full bar. Parking seems inadequate but not sure if you can park around back. Based on what I have experienced so far, I like Big Louie's. Centrally located and easy to find I recommend it.

Im sorry to say this but this restaurant deserves no stars. I came in there yesterday for lunch time and the waitress sat us down. I was at least greeted nicely by the waitress and other people. I cant lie the food was really good but I noticed since it wasnt busy some of the employees was hanging out by the host stand but I noticed this big guy that looks like Big Louie guy from the picture and he was very awkward to watch. He started screaming at the employees and using profanity. I think he was a manager but theres no excuse for you to do that especially in front of customers like us. In my state of work if there's a problem the employer takes the employee and speaks privately. That shows poor management etiquette. I hope the owner knows about this and address it.

This area was in need of a good pizza/pasta restaurant. We ordered the New York style cheese pizza, BBQ chicken pizza, eggplant parm, and the garlic rolls... All were great. They deliver too which is an added bonus!

We ordered from Big Louie's and we were very surprised at how good it was. We recently heard that the had opened on our area and decided to try it. So glad we did! We had the New York style pizza and garlic rolls. The pizza was really good and I always try to find good garlic rolls. These will not disappoint. This place is a must try and we will be back to order or go in to the restaurant.

I ordered a normal large pepperoni pizza and some calamari and mozzarella sticks. This is not a New York style pizza I could personally tell you that. The mozzarella sticks were really good. The calamari was just just average. Nice place but I thought it was gonna be way better. The pizza disappointed me to tell you the truth for $12 wasn't worth it for that I would've gone to little Caesars pizza.

Had been wanting to eat here since it opened. Finally took the family, waited 20 minutes and no one ever came to take our order. The restaurant was relatively empty and when I asked the waitress she seemed confused as to who would be our server. It's a shame because it seems as if the owner put a lot of money into it. Welp...guess I'll never know if the pizza and rolls are good. Terrible management/service.

I wasn't going to write a review....but because of the Manager Johnny and the nice delivery lady I had to. Yes my delivery did take an hour and a half and was cold when it got here (mistakes happen)....however they sent a fresh HOT replacement and included a desert, all of which I did not ask them to do. The food is great and the garlic rolls are the best, we will order again anytime!

I can't give the food a review yet but the service is terrible.. I ordered via eat24 and my delivery was initially due to take 45 minutes (I live a mile away). All of a sudden my delivery time changed to double that, 90 minutes! Are you kidding? For a pizza? Still waiting ....

Live in the area and stopped in on a Saturday night to try out Big Louie's Pizzeria for dinner. The exterior and interior of the restaurant has a very warm and welcoming appearance. The hostesses were friendly. We were seated in a booth by the bar area which felt a bit uncomfortable in that there was no room to adjust the table because of the tight space between the seats. We had been sitting down for almost ten minutes but no one had come to take our drink order, much less acknowledge us. An employee then came by our table, dropped off a plate of garlic rolls, and walked away. We were a bit confused because we haven't yet even received a glass of water. The employee returned a moment later with a couple glasses of water, and walked away. No introduction, no dialogue, and no mention if the employee was our waiter or if we would be helped by someone. The restaurant was not full by any means. At that moment, we realized that we would most likely not be in for a good dinner experience. We left the restaurant and notified one of the hostesses what had happened. The hostess did apologize but we had made up our minds in deciding to have dinner elsewhere. We were disappointed in our first visit to Big Louie's and were hoping for a great experience at a new local pizzeria. Seems that we will need to instead visit our other local pizzeria restaurants.

I was pleasantly surprised with the food here. It's the first place I've been to in a while where the mozzarella sticks don't come out of a box. They seem to be made in house. They're large and delicious. My hubbie and me had to return for the lasagne. It's actually made w sausage and it oozes with saucy, cheesy deliciousness. The pizza is great and so is the calzone. The restaurant is nice and extremely clean. The entire staff is friendly and nice. Ofelia was our server last time and she was awesome. Two critiques: both times it took a long time to get our drinks. The bar service seems slow and I absolutely hate the tomatoes in the salad. Please spend a few more bucks on vine ripened. I hate a salad with those gassed, flavorless tomatoes. Some Italian music would be cool too, especially in the room w the fireplace- which I love. All and all it was a great experience. We will be returning many more times.

This business just popped up on Eat 24 as a place that delivers and wow -- they were fantastic! The best delivery burger in Coral Gables area. The cannoli was outstanding, too. I will definitely keep ordering from them if they stay on Eat 24, and I hope they will.

This place just opened up a few months ago and my family and I finally got to try it. The food was great, the portions were large and the prices were not too expensive (for the amount of food you get). We sat outside and really enjoyed the weather and the atmosphere. Our order got a little mixed up but I think they are still working out the kinks (don't mind, since the food was really good). The staff was attentive (Andy kept coming by) as well as our server. Will definately go back (might even pick up or get delivery) :)

I was craving some italian while at a hotel in Miami on business, so I ordered from Big Louie's using Yelp's new ordering app, Eat24. I can't really decide how many stars to give, but here's what happened- First, my order was guaranteed by Eat24 in 60 minutes. Sometimes food comes late, no problem- so I called the restaurant and they assured me my food would be there in 10 minutes. When it did arrive, the man came right up to my room (with the hotel's authorization and my permission), but then he pushed his way through my door into my hotel room carrying way more food than I had ordered. It was weird enough that he barged into my personal hotel room, but then he commented whether I was going to eat "all this food by myself" (what?). He quickly realized he had brought the wrong order, so after he awkwardly yelled at himself, he went back down to the car, got my order, and again came right into my hotel room. I attempted to pay cash, but he did not have change with him... Because "he's not a delivery man". Apparently, he's a maintenance man who was sent to do deliveries. I offered to call the restaurant and give my credit card instead, at which point he awkwardly waited in my hotel room until I was like ok, we're good. As he walked out the door, he was saying something, but all I caught was "stay cute". It was weird enough that he was in my hotel room, and he took it over the line when he made that type of comment. When I was finally alone (and starving), I opened my food only to find that they had gotten my order wrong (I paid $5 extra for additional toppings on my pizza, none of which were on the pizza). Worst of all, all my food was cold- so cold -bit was obvious it was sitting out for at least 30+ minutes. Over the course of this ordeal, I called the restaurant a few times, first to ask where my food was- second to give my credit card- and third, to complain. Both people I spoke to were incredibly friendly, apologetic and understanding. Eventually the GM John got on the phone when I asked for a refund, but unfortunately all he could do was give me his name and number and promise that "next time" I would get a free appetizer. I explained that I did not live in the area and was here on business, but I appreciated his gesture and would try them again if I ever come back and would take him up on his offer. Bottom line- I think the restaurant could actually be great, they do have some great people working there (minus the inappropriate maintenance man)- so I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and say that they were just having a rough night? Maybe I'll try again someday, and if so, I'll report back.

Had an awesome experience. Food was great and at a very good price. The decor very updated and makes you feel like you're somewhere else. High end food for reasonable pricing is hard to find especially if the company uses fresh ingredients. They have a pool table outside and a bar outside so you could shoot the shit with friends and drink or go inside and enjoy the meal. Staff is great and attentive. Order the calamari.

Great place, friendly staff, GREAT pizza. Nice selection of tap beers. INdoor/outdoor dining. The ONLY reason I did not give them 5 stars is that they close the kitchen early (10pm) on some nights.

The linguini with mushroom sauce was quite possibly the most vile dish of pasta I have ever had the displeasure of eating. And although I did not have the pizza, I did see several go by on their way to other tables. Anyone who says this is Northeast style pizza has obviously never been there. I lived in NJ most of my life, so trust me, I know Northeast style pizza. This ain't it.

Solid, solid attempt to nj/ny pizza, which is the best in the country. If the pizza from back home is a 10, BL's is a 8.9. The restaurant itself is like a transplant from back home. It has a really nice family atmosphere, and the staff is OUTSTANDINGLY friendly. Smiles from everyone I came in contact with. I've dined in and ordered delivery. My only negative is with the delivery. When I received my order the last time i ordered the pizza was cold/warm. Still ultra tasty, but I wish it had been piping hot upon delivery like the first time. They aren't very far, so I think my order might have sat out for a few mins too long or something. Not a huge deal. Place is fantastic.

My husband and I passed by and saw the big sign saying "NOW OPEN" and decided to stop by and try it out and WOW! everything we ordered was delicious! I love that all the entrees include garlic rolls and salad. I definitely recommend the Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp! it was amazing and so tasty! Big thumbs up!! Will definitely return soon!

This area was in need of a good pizza/pasta restaurant. We ordered the New York style cheese pizza, BBQ chicken pizza, eggplant parm, and the garlic rolls... All were great. They deliver too which is an added bonus!

My wife and I ordered pasta (chicken parm for me, can't remember what she ordered) but the point is the quality of the good was outstanding. Hot and fresh. Garlic breads were awesome too.

Ordered in this place for delivery, promised by 45min and it's been an hour and a half no pizza delivery shows up?!?! What a service? Oh or should I say no service at all?!?!?! Should not promise if u can't keep it!

Two stars for the lovely waitress. However everything went horribly wrong on an empty stomach tonight. Came with my husband for dinner and we were greeted by a nice young lady. There's a nice outdoor patio and the interior was nice as well. So we felt comfortable yet eager to try the food here for the first time. Because I'm a complicated person I made a special order of a chicken parm sandwich with fries ($8). They said they could do it for me even though it's not on the menu( so accommodating which is why I gave them 2 stars rather than 1) the sandwich was amazing. Can't say the same for the French fries though which i didn't eat. My husband on the other hand was less complicated than me. The calzone came with just cheese and he wanted to add chicken to it. Not that difficult you would assume..unfortunately it was to the waitress. After waiting about 20 minutes his calzone came out with cheese only. Can you imagine being on an empty stomach and realizing your order is messed up so you can't even eat. The waitress was aware she made a mistake in placing the order so we weren't so mad.... Until another 15 minutes pass by and his calzone is still missing. we couldn't wait any longer so we left with the calzone in a to-go box and an upset husband on an empty stomach. The sandwich and calzone were great, the garlic rolls were bland, service was okay, just this night made us come to the conclusion that we won't be coming back.

Big Louies Pizza was amazing! The address was wrong because they moved but when we found it we weren't disappointed. The slices were big and fulfilling and the staff is really nice! I am definitely a loyal customer now. Would recommend to anyone willing to listen.

The pizza is delicious and always fresh and the service is amazing. We recently hosted my son's 1st birthday this past weekend. From the beginning, the general manager Obie was so accommodating and friendly. On the day of the party, Obie and his staff went above and beyond to please us and our guests. Our server Pat was extremely attentive to us and our guests, and always made sure all of our needs were met. Our guests just raved about the ambience, the service and the delicious food. I would definitely recommend Big Louie's to anyone looking to host a party or get together, or to get a bite to eat.

Sooo, we loved the calzone and pizza so much we ordered the next day!!! This time we are drinking margaritas and singing karaoke at home in our shorts and we needed food and we were like " frozen chimichangas???? NO..... We want Big Louie's calzone and let's try another Pizzza!!! And so we did... We also asked for more sauces and we got 3!!!! Ask and you shall receive is what my mama always told me... And the margarita pizza looks amazing as well I can't wait to eat it!! I also recommend cutting the calzone with scissors, open the piece and smother it on your pizza then take another, it takes about 2 good snips to get to the good stuff. I also suggest a side of sauce for your pizza crusts to dip in. On 5/27 we decided to order entree's for delivery. I wasn't starving therefore I couldn't really appreciate how amazing everything was, but we ordered Chicken Marsala with Spaghetti with pink sauce, Lasagna, and Chicken ala vodka. The Marsala was good, not breaded and flavorful as was the pink sauce on the spaghetti- that was very decadent and cheesy. The lasagna was a nice size and had good flavor, lastly the chicken ala vodka tastes more like chicken carbonara, nonetheless it was really rich and flavorful. The salads and garlic bread were a nice touch. I can't wait to be hungry to eat the leftovers :)

Being a fan of the Fort Lauderdale location I was amazed to find a Big Louie's in Miami and of all places just off Flagler Street. I have taken out Pizza and Calzone a few times, the Pizza being average and the Calzone quite good. Tonight we dined in. I was disappointed that the fire I have seen burning in the front dining room on all the other occasions I took food out was not lit. When the fire is lit it is very cozy and romantic. Like every other time I have been to this Big Louie's the place only had a few tables occupied. Basically, in this neighborhood if you are not serving rice and beans it is difficult. We sat in the back dining room which is way too brightly lit like all the other Cuban joints around. Despite the crappy atmosphere the food was excellent. I ordered the Eggplant Parmesan which was one of the best I have ever had. The garlic rolls served with dinner were excellent. The meal also came with a small tossed dinner salad and a side of pasta for $12.00. I ate the entire meal but could have easily shared it with someone; the portion was large. I don't anticipate this restaurant staying open for long unless people from the Grove and Gables discover it. The locals want things like roast pork and morros but the only comparable Italian restaurant in the neighborhood is very pricey and really the food is very good in both restaurants. Good food, friendly service, large portions and fair prices made this a good experience. I will return.

This review is for delivery. All I can say is Woohoo. I've been looking for north east style pizza for a while in this area and was ecstatic to find it. I used EAT24 to order which let me pay the tip at checkout and the whole process was very simple. The app said they would deliver in 1 hour and at the 58:26 count, I got a knock at the door. The driver just handed me two boxes, said thank you, and turned around. My girlfriend suggested we order a cheese calzone and I decided we should try the Philly cheese steak pizza based on reviews I read on here. I think that was the perfect order. The cheese calzone is a cheese lover's dream. I suggest two sides of marinara sauce to go with the calzone. The Philly cheese steak was great. It is missing ricotta cheese but we added some from the calzone. Next time will order it with ricotta. Overall I definitely recommend this place.

Alright, let me start off by saying that the service was great and that our server, Carolina, really did an amazing job. As I mentioned in my tip, she brought us additional garlic a rolls when she saw that our pizzas were taking long to come out and that our appetizer was not available. The Garlic Rolls are simply delicious, they are perfectly coated and do not have too strong a flavor of garlic. The White pizza I ordered had a lot of cheese, but somehow lacked flavor. My wife ordered the Margherita and she mentioned the same thing, lacking flavor. This is why I gave this restaurant 2 stars. On to the beers. They do have a good selection of craft beers. They had 2 Goose Islands on tap, as well as Blue Point and several others. I am looking forward to giving this place another shot. Maybe I came on an off-day for the chef. Happy eating!!

I give this restaurant five stars! Great service and even greater food. My mother and I agree that oftentimes at restaurants, especially Italian places, the food feels like it's been sitting there- but that is not the case at Louie's! The food is fresh and made to order, and absolutely delicious. Make sure to enjoy the garlic rolls, as they are amazing! My mother and I had stuffed shells (which she thoroughly enjoyed) and baked ziti. Both plates were great. To top it off, we shared a tiramisu. Best tiramisu I've had in a while. Overall wonderful experience, as both the food and service were divine. Next time you're in the mood for a cozy, Italian restaurant feel, head on over to Big Louie's! You won't regret it.

Like I mentioned before I live in the area so I had to give this place another shot. Luckily the bartender who waited on me before called in sick that day so I was waited on by Joseph and my experience was very pleasant to say the least. I'm glad I gave it another shot because the pineapple and ham calzone I ordered was delicious. And they had a great beer on tap. Sea Dog, blueberry. They don't even carry that at the Gables Ale House. The patio is going to be a great location for football season!

I decided to try this place since it's just around the way; it's the worst pizza I've ever had. Considering I paid $50 for my order I expected it would be 10x better than the competition, but on the contrary, it compares to poorly made Little Caesars pizza. - The food was cold by the time it got to my house. (I had to reheat it) - The pizza was a lot more bread than actual toppings. - The Mozzarella Sticks were soggy instead of crunchy. - The Marinara sauce accompanying the Mozzarella Sticks was liquidity instead of rich and thick. (It looked as if they mixed it with water) Needless to say, this was an expensive lesson and I'm NEVER eating here again.

Okay the food is good and I have ordered take out before just fine , tonight however my husband and I decided to go in and sit down . When we went in half the restaurant is empty I thought great . The first thing that happens after we are seated is that the waitress and the bartender begin to argue who is going to take care of us . Each saying neither of them want to take care of us !! I was like wth...and I mean not even two feet from in front of our faces they are doing this in nice loud voices . I should have gotten up and left there but my husband said no no maybe the waitress had a bad night okay ...so we stayed BAD MISTAKE .. the waitress then comes and tells us she is sorry , its horrible what she did so sorry she is having a bad day and didnt mean it , I actually felt bad for her and said no problem ... at that point ordered my pizza a margarita for me and a coke for my husband .. real simple order right ! WRONG ... our waitress keeps arguing back and forth with the bartender and saying remarks to the other waitress that is there ... that it wasnt fair ... I could probably tell you word for word her argument since there is no whispering or even trying to pretend your professional in this place . We finally get our pizza ..meanwhile our waitress has had to apologize about three times so far .. but no margarita ... I ate my food and then the bartender makes the wrong drink and calls from the bar if I will accept it that way ... I am already pissed with all the arguing , apologizing and sucky service I told him no ... he sighs rolls his eyes and proceeds to make the worst friggin margarita I have ever had ... it gets served after dinner is completed... as my watery drink is served some other wonderful employee comes up cursing and telling off his manager right there ... right in front of every one ... and she fights with him right back .And fires him then and there , she tells him to leave and says a few choice words and she goes to call the cops . I wait what is about 15 minutes for my check and I look at my bill that watered down mess was 10 bucks so I tell the manager that it came after the food and hold up the still full glass and tell her its awful .. she comps it , meanwhile my waitress is still walking back and forth telling people how horrible she has it there . It takes her another 15 minutes to get my check and charge me for being witness to this freak show. Meanwhile let me say again ... the place is almost empty I counted six tables with people on them including us . So I dont know what the friggin big deal was ... she spent more timing crying and complaining then working Long story short , if you like a ghetto stank bunch of people fixing your food , serving you , arguing in front of you and making you feel not like you are a paying customer but a burden .. then be my guest but I will warn you .. you will leave with heartburn ....this is a shame because the pizza is good , the staff however are just a hot mess!!

Here for the new times tweet up. Food is excellent, servers very gracious. They have a full bar. Parking seems inadequate but not sure if you can park around back. Based on what I have experienced so far, I like Big Louie's. Centrally located and easy to find I recommend it.

3rd and last time coming to Big L. Each time the service and food diminishes. Their was only one server on duty with over 10 tables. We never received our garlic rolls, salad or water after reminding the server numerous times. When we finally received our bread after we finished our meal it was stiff as a rock. I am very disappointed and will not come back to this restaurant.

Good luck to you!!

Their food is great. It has a family like atmosphere. I would more here more often if the service looked a little more professional. Place has potential but needs more advertisement

Love this place. Super chill atmosphere with a full bar and Caro is the best bartender. She loves her job and does it well.

Very good pizza, awesome garlic rolls. Nice ambiance. We are from this neighborhood and no restaurant, before this one , was worth it. I believe this is the one!!! Good luck.

Big Louies Pizza was amazing! The address was wrong because they moved but when we found it we weren't disappointed. The slices were big and fulfilling and the staff is really nice! I am definitely a loyal customer now. Would recommend to anyone willing to listen.

We had a regular cheese pizza -- very good. Excellent service. Bowen, the owner, checked on us to make sure everything was fine. He was extremely pleasant. I definitely will return.

Good atmosphere and food was ok. Tried the chicken parmesan pizza and the chicken southwest pizza. Good but nothing that distinguished it as different from other places I've tried. Garlic rolls were tasty.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
