This location isn't the newest or most well manicured branch of Papa John's. However, I do not recall a single incident in which my order was over cooked, incorrect or otherwise unsatisfactory. The only thing that has changed over the years is that they've stopped taking carryout orders after 10 pm. I'm a bit of a night owl and tend to stay out late, so that disappointed me a little. There aren't many restaurants open after 9 pm on the Island. There is also a shortage of convenient parking in front. Of course, if you're going to Papa John's, you're probably about to eat pizza. Which means you can park in the rear or alongside the neighboring ABC liquor store and burn a few calories on your journey to the front entrance. I've been ordering from this Papa John's location for well over 10 years. Their crew has always been polite and helpful, be it on the phone or in the store. So, if you're in the mood for Papa John's pizza, I highly recommend ordering from this location.

Donut Shop

"Do you like donuts? Delicious Donuts? Well if you do, then you deserve some donuts!"* This donut shop on Merritt Island (aptly named "the Donut Shop") is the ONLY place we go for donuts (or, if we're feeling more fancy; "doughnuts"). It will provide for you not only delicious donuts but the charm of a family run old-school diner with two person booths, coffee in mugs and donuts on paper served in little red baskets. The interior is NOT FANCY, but it's homey and comfortable. THINK: would you rather have your donuts served to you by apathetic high-schoolers, or by a smiling family of donut makers? If I need to sway you even more, the multigenerational family who runs the shop are friendly and always have cute homemade seasonal aprons. Now to the donuts: are they good? The answer is yes! They are also very sugary (but what donut isn't...except for one of them, which I'll get to in a minute) - we're talking, if you're going to get a yeast raised chocolate dipped donut (a classic staple in the donut world) not ONLY is it chocolate dipped, but glazed as well! Make sure to get a coffee or a water to wash down the delicious sugary sweetness. For those of you who hate sugar and accidentally wandered into this shop and have just .85 in your pocket and haven't eaten for days, there's also old fashioned non-glazed donuts. Don't forget a few extra pennies for tax. My own personal favorite donut is the Buttermilk donut, although I risk creating a scarcity of them by even mentioning their tender goodness, because it seems to be one they create only in small batches. Imagine a donut made from a coffee cake, and then dipped in glaze. YUM. My husband's favorite is the "heavenly delight" which is like a Boston cream, but instead of a custard filling, it has a filling reminiscent of what's inside a twinkie! You can feel your pancreas crying insulin tears as you eat it. Other notable donuts include: glazed chocolate donut with chocolate dip and chocolate chips, cherry donut (if you like maraschino cherries), coconut donut and the assorted donut holes. They also have breakfast sandwiches and some "fancy" coffee drinks, but I haven't tried any of those. Bring cash, it's an inexpensive place to get a quick breakfast, and they have a credit card minimum. *if you get this "Pugs and Donuts" reference, you should message me because we will be instant friends if for some reason you also followed the youtube videos of Drew from Toothpaste for Dinner in 2007
I just discovered The Donut Shop. It's a small one-off donut shop with a nice menu. I went thru the drive-thru to place my order. The lady at the counter cheerfully took the order and came back with it in no time. I'd ordered a Custard Filled Chocolate Glazed and a Plain Cake Donut. Both were delicious, and so fresh! I will say that the plain cake donut was the best I have ever had. I can see that The Donut Shop will become my favorite donut shop. I am so lucky it is on Merritt Island.
What's not to like? They have donuts, muffins and other stuff and it all tastes like someone made it instead of a machine making it. I grab these as a personal treat on the way home from early morning bike rides to/from the gym and I take them in to work for the ocassional treat for the fellow cube dwellers I work with. Trust me when I say that people can tell when it's not some DD chain donut...and they like it too!

OK, normally I don't give sandwich shops a 5-star but this one has me smitten after a couple of visits of rating hesitation. Where to start? Friendly family-run business. Small yet personal feeling to dining in. They serve Boars Head meat. Their menu is large and the sandwiches are delicious. I've had their moster bagel sandwich (I can't remember it's name but the owner's son created it) and several sandwiches. The Cuban and the owner's other son's creation, the Ryan's Titanic Deli Sandwich are faves here. My only recommendation for this place is to make a more legible sandwich menu sign inside. There's just so much, and it's jumbled in no particular order (save "hey, there's a spot there to write this one in") that you have to really search it to find what you want sometimes. Also, they give a military 10% discount!
These are not just the best hash browns in Brevard County. These are the best hash browns I've ever had. Seasoned with rosemary, warm and soft on the inside and delightfully crispy on the edges. Breakfast is served all day. Both the spinach and pepperoni eggs are excellent, but the standout is the potato pocket. Perfectly fried eggs over cheese and strips of bacon, wrapped in those heavenly hash browns. The potato pocket is worthy of a road trip. I can't speak to the sandwiches since our family is gluten free, but they make an amazing gluten-free peanut butter chocolate chip cookie. Gina is a masterful chef and her husband Bob makes excellent coffee. He's also happy to bend your ear with tales of work at the space center and high performance sports cars (like the one that gave the 600 HP breakfast sandwich its name). Both sons can be found working in the kitchen (one of whom is himself a chef), so you can feel good about supporting a local, family-owned business.
Friendly service with home made goodness. That said its over priced as I eat all over Florida and have had great homemade at 2/3rds the cost.

We're new in town and looking for an Italian place. We found Kelsey's Pizza .... the place was nice and clean, nicely decorated. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. Just the right amount of attention. We had a small cheese pizza - delicious: Chicken Marsala - delicious: Penne Gorgonzola minus the mushrooms - delicious: Chicken Alfredo - delicious: The dinners came with garlic bread and a side salad and I used the house dressing that was on the table. Salad was fresh and crisp.. All in all I will be back.
I had lunch there last Saturday, OVER 25 DOLLARS for ONE Person.. 1 small Greek salad (it was actually pretty large) 1 small pizza 1 soda They would not let me order a slice because it was the weekend??? The small is not even a decent size pizza for almost 14 dollars. The salad has gone way up recently but it's really good.. I love this place but I cannot figure out the prices or who can afford to eat there anymore. ???
Get The calzones! Outstanding Greek salads too. Very nice ambience for a nice night out or a quick meal with the family.

We were treated very nicely by the owner and the prices were extremely fair. I was pleased to give this place my business and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves meat sandwiches in general. These gyros are delicious and quite generously filled and I've had plenty of gyros in various restaurants. If you're hungry and near the area, it's well worth the walk inside to give this place a try. The Arabic salads are great if you're into those too - quite sour and zesty. If I'm ever in the area again, I certainly would come by.
Love this place. They have Gyros that are to die for! They also have a great greek salad, excellent baklava, and superb spanakopita. I've actually loved everything that I've tried here. Great prices too! An A+ all the way!
The Best Greek in town!!! To awesome to be in a mall food court. I see a restaurant in their future. Had the Gyro and Spanakopita (spinach pie). They were so yummy. Tender juicy meat and very flavorful food. Authentic and great service.

Great local diner. Unassuming interior with extremely friendly service and delicious homemade breakfast and lunch. If you're looking for fancy or eclectic this is not your place. If you want delicious diner fare at great prices then hurry on over!
Have eaten here several times. They are only open for breakfast and lunch. Their breakfast dishes are great, just like my grandmother mom make, real comfort food. They make fresh soup of the day at each time I have had them they have been excellent.
The sausage gravy is better than other named brand places. The staff are all awesome and communicate well with each other, we asked someone other than our waitress for two orders of the sausage gravy after we had placed our order and our waitress brought it right out. They also have the best omelets and the home fries are not your typical wet soggy kind, they are nice and formed with a crunchy outside and hot and tender middle. Now that we have stumbled upon this dinner we will have to keep going back.

We love this place. Nice folks and great food! Their special are always fantastic and rival the fancy Italian restaurants. This place is legit!
I have eaten here ever since they opened. But lately the service and quality of food has deteriorated. Pizza has been burned on the last two times. But what really set me off is I ordered by phone for pick up and they said 25 min. Got there after 20 mins and still waited over an hour the girl at the register kept saying its on the way. Finally I asked how much longer and they couldn't find my pizza or ticket. No apologies just it will be 25 more minutes to cook a new one. So sad. It was a good place.
I always love their pizza.

I've found that hole-in-the wall places that sell inexpensive pizza or by the slice are the best. This place is no exception. The place was wall to wall with locals, the guy behind the counter spoke with an accent I couldn't place, and the pizza was great!
This is a great family owned restaurant located in a dated strip mall located off the Merritt Causeway very easy to find just look for the location where all the cars are parked. Arrived around 7:30 PM on Saturday and this place was packed and loud we had about a 15 minute wait for a table they certainly made every effort to accommodate us as quickly as possible. The staff is very attentive and they completely understand the importances of customer service after witnessing the staff at work I believe a lot of these generous reviews are based on this alone and I agree this goes a long ways but...... The pizza is very very good served up hot out of the oven New York Style thin crust, great sauce and lots of fresh toppings, pepper flakes, garlic and Italian seasoning table side. It's difficult to say this is the best I've ever had but it doesn't matter it's a solid pizza for sure and I would definitely return for pizza and to try a few of their paste dishes the ones I saw being served looked very good and very large portions. If there are any negatives its the garlic knots these are very forgettable hard rolls warmed in a broiler lightly brushed with olive oil and garlic seasoning dipping these in the great red sauce doesn't help. The second was the Coca-Cola was poured out of a two liter bottle it may sound trivial but this is 2014 at least give me my own can if you don't want to install a fountain machine. Over-all a very good experience.
I have been here many times and the guys are great friendly fast and attentive. The pizza is very good and the pricing is reasonable. I keep going back because its the best in the area. I love the meatball pizza the best, one slice does it because the portion is huge.

The best Chinese take out food I have ever had... and I am 52. Spring rolls are fresh and light. Sweet and sour is the best I have ever had. Fried rice was good. Like the other reviews say, don't let the outside put you off, inside is clean and bright. EXCELLENT service. This is now my Chinese resturant.
Clean, fast service, & very good food at a reasonable price. For a take-out it's hard to beat. Also easy to find. (It's in the strip mall where the Publix is located, at 520 and 3.)
Good NY style Chinese takeout. You will not be disappointed.
