Good selection of sides. I enjoyed the collards. Neither of their bbq sauces were very good. Also garlic toast didnt come with the platters standard which is disappointing, i had to order seperate. Very attentive service. Not a huge place or view. There are two outside tables but they seem to be more for people just smoking or whatever, not really for eating. They gave us a sample of each of their puddings, the banana was good. Also if u buy ten meals you get one free.

This place is so good!!! The food is well made. Everything has great flavor. Their banana pudding is to die for. Their meats are cooked perfectly every time. The service is super friendly. They have their new location decorated very nicely. They make me feel like I'm back home in South Louisiana... So friendly and great food. I can't say it enough ;)))

I really enjoy a good rib with a fantastic smoke ring. These ribs however, had none. They were entirely grey which leads me to wonder if they were made in the stove rather than smoked? There was no char either. The rest of my party was happy with their food, and the staff was super great. I would give it a second chance, but maybe try something else.

I had lunch at Bubba's on February 10, 2015. This is my evaluation: I ordered the pulled pork sandwhich with two sides for $8.99. I choose banked beans and collard greens. After confirming that their ice tea is brewed and not from a bar gun, I ordered an unsweented tea with lemon, $1.95. The tea with the requested lemon appeared relatively quickly, then I waited well nearly twenty painful minutes for the sandwich and sides to arrive. I was there shortly after twelve noon on a weekday. It appeared that they had only one cook working and only one server on the job. I saw a pained look on another patron's face who ordered his to go meal then sat for the same 20 minutes waiting. A person who looked like the owner was walking the room talking to customers. Another person who they apparently employ was wearing an Monkey Mask as twirling a sign to get passing cars on Wickham to stop in. Yet they only had one person cooking in the kitchen. I just wanted to give the owner a memo to stop chatting up the customers and give his cook a hand so that service would not be so painfully S--L--O---W. The time it takes from placing your order to getting food at Bubba's is easily more than twice as long as the wait at Charlie & Jakes or Slow & Low. Grades: Pulled Pork Sandwich: C+: The pulled pork sandwich had a generous portion of pulled pork but there was no dry rub or smoke rings on the meat. It was moist, as if it was in a steam basket, or crock pot. The pork was on a room temperature (not warmed or toasted) large round white hambger style bun. I thought to myself. If the pulled pork came from a warmer or steam basket and bun came straight from a food service plastic bag, why did I have to wait 20 minutes. Was it the sides?? Baked Beans: D+ The baked beans appear to be either straight from a can or they took canned backed beans and added something (probably a little meat) to them. If I ever go back I will get a different side. Collard Greens: B+ : The collard greens were really good. The collard greens were the best part of the meal because the pulled pork sandwich was average and the beans were below average. The collards were flavorful with some sweetness and to ham hocks. I just don't think they took 20 minutes to make so I can only blame the slow service on poor management and kitchen management. Sauce: B: I tried the sweet and regular both were good. Neither was amazing. Service: C-: Our server started strong "pick a side and it you don't like it I will swap it out for another." Then while I was waiting an eternity for my food, my glass or tea emptied. Eventually, she came by and advised she was getting me a new tea. Then she disappeared. After a long wait with no food and no tea.... I went to find her and saw the lone cook working in the kitchen. When I found her she remarked something to the effect of .."Oh yea... I will get you some tea." .. "Thanks, whenever you get a chance..." At least you do not have my food to distract you. The food arrived (but no tea)... I gave her the look that says... do I really need to remind you (for the third time) that I have an empty tea glass and would refill it myself if your tea station wasn't somewhere near the back of the kitchen in probably the least efficient place. When the tea arrived, she forgot new lemon wedges. If this waitress could only pay a visit to Chick-Fill-A's amazingly well run Viera store where they elevate Ice Tea refills to an art form. Décor: D+: I don't expect much for BBQ décor, and have loved every minute of eating great BBQ off picnic tables. Bubba's is miss-match of ugly stuff from prior restaurants that inhabited the same spot and went out of business. They have ugly large tiles on the floor, a fake brick rectangle in dining room (is that a hostess stand), assorted country and cowboy trite and cliché knickknacks, that are thrown together with no rhyme or reason. Its ugly but I would not even notice if they reasonably good food delivered in a reasonably prompt manner. Restaurant Impossible... please save this place. Right now Brevard has many better BBQ options.

Well this is the second time we've been here and it will be the last. After waiting what seemed far too long for pulled pork and brisket on a slow Friday night, I was appalled by my cold top bun and soggy, doughy bottom. The pork was bland, the sweet sauce was bland... The house sauce was decent but a little late. Coleslaw tasteless. I started questioning my tastebuds but they were working properly. Mac n cheese is doctored box, beans are straight from a can. Service was grudging. I can do better and cheaper from the Publix deli across the street. Last time we came we thought it was really good, the service, the food... That was almost a year ago, perhaps our memory merely faded.

Amazing food, and the people who work here are great! The mac and cheese with green chilies, brisket, collard greens, really everything we ate was fantastic! The banana pudding and funnel fries for dessert are definitely a must!!

The food was great. The staff was very friendly and made us feel like we were having dinner with family. The brisket and pulled pork were awesome. All side dishes were made from scratch and very tasty. Looking forward to our next visit and trying their ribs.

About a year ago we had some friends visit us from Germany. They wanted to try some authentic American food - they were tired of eating in chain restaurants, so we brought them to Bubba's. Bubba treated them like family and even gave them a "tour" of the cooking process, which was something special for them to see since barbecuing isn't something that is done in Germany (if you can imagine that!!). Not only that, but Bubba also let the boys climb into his truck, which I know was extra special for the oldest since he wants to own a BIG truck one day . To make a long story short, they are returning to the States again this year for a visit and when asked if they wanted to eat at Bubba's this is what they said, "Of course we want to go to Bubba's....It was the best meal we ever had in a restaurant in the States."

I stopped by after so many good reviews. I ordered the ribs with baked beans and cole slaw. The cole slaw had a miracle whip taste while the beans though good tasted like canned, maybe Bush's. The ribs were overcooked, dry, and the sauce was a complete fail. I wont be back.

An earlier reviewer gave this lovely little place four stars but said it was a Florida four I will not grade on a curve. Bubbas is down the middle BBQ. The brisket we had was smokey and tender but kind of wet. The collards were actually my favorite if you get the right amount of pepper vinegar on them. Sweet potatoes were covered in brown sugar which made them a dessert. Three kinds of sauce available none of which stood up to the brisket by itself so I found that if you mixed the candy sweet one with a little of the nuclear one it might work out if you want to be a food chemist. Portions were adequate but not generous. Tin plates were shaped wrong and a little small to hold all of the above which made a sloppy eater like me nervous. Service is friendly and good. Prices are fair Overall Bubbas might be worth another try. But don't go out of your way.

I'm rating this on a Florida scale since I know the types of restaurants around here are not on the same culinary level as California. That being stated and cleared, I will begin my review. The people are very nice, the place was hard to find because they front sign wasn't on the building. We were greater right away and our drink came out quickly. What we ordered -brisket plate It was really good, not Texas style but it fell apart and was very juicy. -pulled pork sandwich My friend said this was very good, he finished his whole plate -kids ribs platter I tried some of my sons and it was also very good Sides -mashed potatoes Standard mash potatoes, great with the meal -baked beans I really loved the baked beans, small pieces of meat in it. It was very good -slaw It was ok. -potato salad Too much mayo All in all we will be back when we are in town. Nice people good food and great service!

A Melbourne gem! Just went in for take-out since I saw a guy with a sign on Wickham & what a cute little place! The owners (husband & wife...I believe) were eating with friends and greeted me like I was gonna join them! So hospitable!!! After ordering with the server, who was also very friendly :) the husband asked if I had ever eaten there. After I told him it was my first time, and that they had good reviews so I was excited to try....the wife came out of the kitchen with samples of the pulled pork, baked beans & collard greens!!! She placed the 3 bbq sauces in front of me, handed me a fork and the hubby explained the sauces. All of the sauces & rubs are made by them using peppers & herbs from their garden!!! They make everything from scratch! Right before my order came out, the wife brought me an order of corn bread to try too!!! I was full before I even got my food!!! We ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich & Platter. The pork is very lean and super moist & flavorful. The collard greens were made just right (my family is from NC) sweet potato casserole was sweet & delicious with nuts!! The potato salad & Cole slaw were good as well. The cornbread has peppers in it, so it wasn't my favorite. The green beans were also good but not my favorite as they had a lot of bacon in them. I personally like plain green beans... overall, I would suggest this place and go back again Fo Sho!!! GREAT Southern Hospitality

After flying the beach this afternoon, I had THE BEST EVER brisket in my entire life at Bubba's. Not to be distracted with their great sides, went straight for 1lb of hand rubbed, 18 hr smoked, beef brisket. I only used a fork and knife to maintain a veneer of civility but they were absolutely unnecessary---tender, juicy, and flavorful throughout. I would have eaten an additional pound but was engaged in conversation and did not want to be impolite. Homemade sauces---especially the proprietary hot pepper sauce---were unbeatable. I challenge all my carnivore friends to dinner here and if it's not as good as I've stated, we'll talk. However, pick you meal time carefully, they get busy. Lastly, if you don't come hungry and leave well satisfied, talk to Dennis, he has a remedy for that! David Malis

Not very good at all. I got the pulled pork with house & sweet sauce to taste them both, cole slaw, & baked beans. The pulled pork has a weird taste without sauce & neither of the sauces taste good. It's a new place & I doubt it will be open long.
