I love this place! There are very few good places to eat in this area and this restaurant never disappoints. It is simple, but always fresh!

Keith (I believe is his name) rudest person in the world. Not going back.... not worth it! Winn Dixie products are 100% better...!

Of the 8 times I have ordered a turkey cheese tomato mayo sandwhich, they have gotten it wrong 8 times out of ten... Either no mayo... No cheese or no tomato..including my order today 7/27/15. Why bother me asking me what I want if you are just going to send what you feel like anyways. If one place that delivers food opens in the 4 new buildings popping up in this general area, the captain may go down with his ship.....

I ordered a grilled steak Caesar salad for $9.79. Holy cow! This is a steal and for the record, it is not a "grilled steak Caesar" it is a giant (10oz), very tender, super delicious, perfectly seasoned and cooked churrasco with a side of yummy Caesar salad. This is one of the best churrascos I have ever had. It was perfectly medium rare and didn't even require even the slightest sprinkle of salt. I have been craving this "salad" ever since I had it last week. Unfortunately, Capt Jimmy's isn't open on the weekends so I will have to make a special trip during the week to have this fab "salad" again.

How about working in this area and traveling from far will leave little options to breakfast. Well I have used them many times but their deliver charge plus other fee is just expensive and let's not forget tips. This is not the first time that I get bad service from them. The last time was last week when I placed an order via their website for breakfast and received a confirmation email as I paid online. Few minutes later I get a call from a 954 number which isn't their usual area code and someone identified as calling from Captain Jimmy and stated no breakfast after 10am. Click! They hung up on me right away. I called right back without a response. I'm wondering how do you take my credit card online but call to say no breakfast. So I call their business and ask for a refund. I am told that their site would not have charged me. I advised that I had an email confirmation but they were certain that I wasn't charged. The next day I see a charge. After the weekend I contact them to have the refund. They say that since they cannot see my card number they will reimburse me when they stop by the office but have the option of delivering another breakfast. (They called it free breakfast - but it really isn't free.. They owed me!) So they brought me breakfast today after I placed the specific order as usual. I open the bag and: No utensils No bacon in the omelette Plain eggs with onions only Burned toast REALLY!!! This isn't my order!!! For all I care they probably spit in the food as they made it. This is ridiculous. Slow and bad customer service!! Did they think I was trying to get something free? I mean they owe me a breakfast!!! I am not ordering from there anymore. That's it! And no, I would not recommend it.

I once wrote a review about this place and it was not so good. Things changed so my opinions changed. My 1 star went to 4 stars... It's now back at 1 star. I haven't ordered food from here in over a month. I decided that I would order (online) something today thinking my order wouldn't be wrong and no one would mess it up. I was wrong. Extremely wrong. There's a comment box that you can write anything extra you might need or special directions, etc. It's pointless. I might as well have just called and asked them to send me anything they wanted and just take my money so that way I wouldn't be disaapointed for getting something I didn't want and having to pay for it. I know this place gets extremely busy during lunch and that's great but what's the point of having a place of business if you can't satisfy the customer? I can't speak for my co-workers but today is the last time I will ever order food for myself from this place ever again. This place was one of my favorite places to order from and it is now a place I want nothing to do with.

It was OK. I had the calamari, corn chowder soup, and the mozzarella sticks. My party had some other sandwiches. Everyone was not very excited about their meal. Personally, everything I had was pretty bland. I don't think that I will be back. The older gentleman at the register was not exactly friendly.

Captain Jimmy's is the perfect little diner for a quick bite to eat. Lots of great salads, subs, burgers, and wraps. I normally eat here for lunch. They're always busy but nonetheless the service and food are good.

The office I work out of is in a super commercial area, dunked away between Hialeah and Medley... I hate that there is a Quizno's, a Burger King, and some random Spanish food trucks.... 15 minute drive takes you to Miami Lakes, with some nice food spots, but that is not an option. Capt Jimmy's is the way to go... They have everyone in mind. I usually get the "healthy lunch" which is a grilled chicken breast served with mushrooms and onions, (hold the cheese please)... It's like $6.75! They deliver... Sometimes if we need a meeting outside the building we'll sit down there and it's super New Yorkish.... No decor, simple old school with the bar and stools, (love that look... makes me think of my grandparents stories of when they would get egg cream soda's but that's a whole other review, if anyone comes across a 40's 50's diner - PLEASE let me know) and the food is simple.... They don't pretend to be something they are not.. What you see is what you get. And what you get is just fine.

This place is great especially because there are no other good restaurants in the area- with all the commerce parks you would think someone would open up a great place there but this place does the job everytime anyway. Great portions Great sandwiches Decent Salads Good Salads Fries are awesome Fish is fresh Go there or eat at Subway or that weird buffet at the gas station up the road or the Dennys that has bugs crawling around it... your choice.

I work in Medley, very close to Captain Jimmy's so I have been coming to Captain Jimmy's for the past three years. Bascally, other than the bazillion fast food chains and Subway/Quizno's, Jimmy's is the only spot in the near vicinity that does not serve Cuban food. This place is also open for happy hour but I have only been during lunchtime. The key is to arrive before 12:10pm when everyone gets there. Fridays are their busiest lunch hour. They have an extensive menu and their sandwiches are really great! They also serve massive salads and very delicious onion rings too! Every day, they feature a different special which usually includes fries and a drink. You can have a pretty big lunch here for about $9. Service is always very friendly, all the staff speaks English (a rarity in Medley). If you don't have a full hour for lunch, stop in on a Monday or Tuesday. Some of my favorites: Turkey club on wheat Chicken stir-fry sub BBQ beef sub Tuna salad sub Cajun chicken sandwich

The place is gross the food is gross and yep you guest it the service is gross and you get all this grossly over priced! I had a sub and a soda for 15.00 I though I was back in NY. Not to mention the place was packed there is nothing around my job to eat so I guess alot of people go there probably alot of gross people!

in the dry and endless sea of culinary mediocrity that is the medley business district, captain jimmys is an Oasis. The place reminds me of greek diners from the northeast, not that the food is the same but that the place is modest looking, cheap (for Miami standards), and absolutely delicious. both their hot and cold subs are awesome and they make sure to fill them with tons of protein happiness. Their salads seem to come in giant popcorn bowls but they look great even though i haven't had one yet. If its your first time, start with the special sandwich. i love this place.

Thank goodness for Captain Jimmy's. I am working out of Medley for the next 9 months. I didn't know where Medley was prior to my stint here and now I know why. As far as I can tell, Medley is an industrial center with nothing to offer except rocks from the quarry. With one glowing exception, Captain Jimmy's. Christian is 100% correct, this could be a knock off of Dumb and Dumber diner minus the windows. This place gets packed everyday at noon. Lunchtime deliveries can take over an hour. There are a lot of offices in this area and next to zero lunch choices besides some fast food and unhealthy Latin options, so it is no surprise Jimmy's gets so packed. The food is delicious and they are able to serve tons of people every day thanks to a large and efficient staff. Favorites of mine include the Mahi Cesar or the Mahi wrap, Chicken stir-fry wrap, and any of the subs. The special of the day is always a great deal since it comes with chips and a fountain soda. And of course you can feel good spending your money here since it is a locally owned business. I highly recommend Jimmy's if you have the misfortune of finding yourself here in Medley.

i was driving around and decided to get there, next time i rather to be hungry, the pork had a lot of fat, the chicken wings, were legs, really bad btw, and it was mosquitoes in the water, pretty discusting food, i would never ever come back here, the lady was nice but the food so nasty, i wanted to trow up after that, so i paid my $14 and trow the legs in the garbage.

Remember that scene from Dumb and Dumber? When Lloyd and Harry confront Sea bass at that truck stop? "Kick his ass, Sea bass!" That's what the ambiance at Captain Jimmy's is like. But with a few small flat screens tuned to ESPN throughout. I've only had the fries here but that should tell you how good they are if I'm giving them four stars. The fries had seasoning on them and come served in a little plastic bag to keep them hot. Not too soggy and not too crunchy - they are just perfect. The seasoning was great. The service was friendly and prompt even though it was lunchtime. They have happy hour from 3-7 when their beers on tap (Amber bock, Bud, Miller) are 1.50. I'm looking forward to trying out their burger very soon.

I have only gotten their food once and it was only french fries. They were super good with their seasoned salt, but that was the only thing I got. Well today our office bought us some great food from there and I was so excited that I got to try some more. We ordered sandwich platters, which I had your choice of veggie wraps, Caesar chicken wraps, ham and cheese sandwiches, roast beef sandwiches, pastrami sandwiches, and turkey sandwiches. Great selection I must say. I tried the pastrami and roast beef sandwiches. OMG, love it. My mouth is watering just thinking about the pastrami sandwich. It was filled with tons of yummy pastrami, cheese, grilled onions and just enough mustard. I will have to go back to get a whole sandwich. We had choices of 3 salads, Caesar, house or another house (sorry, the only difference was one had carrots and tomatoes and the other did not). I had all three with balsamic vinaigrette, which just made them blend together, but that was okay. I love salad, no matter what it is. They also had some potato soup. YUM! I haven't had potato soup in so long and I must say it was one of the best I have ever tasted. There were some good pieces of bacon that gave it some good flavor, but didn't overwhelm the soup. It still maintained it's creaminess. I ate like a pig, I know, but it was free and I wanted to try it all. I will have to go back again and continue to try more of the menu. BTW, they have happy hour Mon-Fri, $1.75 drafts...awesome!!!!

Im a fan of this place. Everytime Im in Miami for work, I eat lunch at this place. Its conveniently located 1/2 mile from my second office in Miami, FL- near the area called Doral. The staff here is always very friendly and fast. The food is very good and they have an extensive menu with specials going on every day. The drinks are huge and they diligently keep you cup full. The place has beer on tap but Ive never had a cold one here. It gets very busy during lunch tiime though so be prepared to wait a little bit or get here outside the hours of 1130 to 130. Even the bar area gets packed. I recommend the chicken wings and the marlin sandwich. Its not really marlin, its mahi-mahi. They keep Lipton Unsweetend tea brewed like its going out of style here. Its my favorite. Ill keep going back here when in Miami.
