Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Based on the great reviews, my husband and I decided to stop and give it a try. Glad we did! We started with garlic bread with cheese- excellent! Then moved on to pizza with sausage, pepperoni, and bacon. Being from Chicago- we have high standards for pizza. This pizza had more flavor than any other pizza we have ever had. Sauce and crust were delicious! Highly recommend! Will stop again!

This restaurant is amazing. I don't have enough words to describe how great it is. Its unassuming from the road but based on reviews we decided to try it. I am Italian & always am rough on any Italian restaurant. But this is authentic amazing food. My husband had a pepperoni pizza & I had the lasagna. We had a side order of garlic bread with cheese & meatballs. Everything was delicious. We have 2 cannolis waiting for us & I am sure its going to be another great taste. We will be back definitely. If you are in Matlacha & love Italian food then go to Pizza Bella!

I was really looking forward to trying this pizza that most people here have been raving about. Sadly, I found that the pizza from this place was really nothing to rave about and I was really disappointed. The sauce had an odd taste to it. The pizza was not full of those Italian flavors that I would expect a pizza to have. This pizza was missing something, but I could not figure out what that missing ingredient was. The pizza was bland. Thus, I gave the pizza 2 stars out of 5. However, on a more positive note, I will highly recommend the cheesy garlic bread and the wings. I was pretty much impressed. It was really good. The wings - I Loved them ! We ordered a dozen, Unfortunately, I had to share them. I could have ordered a dozen and ate them all by myself, they were that good! Anyway, my final thought- pizza was blah, and the wings and cheesie bread Yum!

The pizza was pretty good but my husband and I were distracted with the employee that was nodding off over and over while chewing on her fingers. There's clearly no manager around and she was on something by the looks of her. Not good for business to let her sit in a table out front.

This was our first time at Pizza Bella. The pizza was phenomenal. We had a large party so we got three different pizza's: the meat lover, cheese and a margarita pizza. My favorite was the meat lover. All the ingredients were fresh and the meat was excellent. We also had the garlic bread and salad as well. Both were very good. It took us quite some time to eat, but I blame that on the made from scratch dishes, so not necessarily a bad thing. The owner came out and greeted us and made sure throughout our entire meal that we were happy. It's a great place and we will be back.

We arrived here before the dinner crowd just after 5:00 pm to grab the table of our choice. First time here and all the good reviews on Yelp had us sold it would be an awesome experience. We were greeted by the owner shortly after seating. He recommended a bottle of red wine for us to have before and during the meal. Three of us shared a large pizza and order of garlic bread. The thin crust pizza was delicious with all the ingredients very fresh and tasty. Garlic bread was excellent. The wine was enjoyable. Service was very friendly with the owner making other trips to the table to see that all was well with our dinner. The place filled up by the time the pizza had been brought to the table. Seems that many we're return customers that knew the owner from previous visits. The owner and entire menu were very Italian. Can't wait to bring my Stepdad here as he is Italian as well. Great pizza for $16 and good bottle of wine for $15. YES........we will be back again. Nice to have a good pizza a few miles from our home.

The pasta is honestly delicious!! We ordered the lasagna and the spaghetti with garlic. So good! You can really tell it is owned by Italians because it tastes like it! Not the americanized versions of pasta you would get at olive garden. The owners are almost always there and are incredibly attentive and kind. Very homey feel. Small restaraunt so I'm guessing it filles up quickly. Also, plenty of place to park you car and its easy to find!

To bring in the new year, my boyfriend and his family decided it would be nice to order some pizza from Pizza Bella since we heard such great reviews on the restaurant. For us unfortunately, the quality of the pizza was not great as we had hoped. We ordered two large pizzas and bosco sticks which were both over cooked and sadly enough, the bosco sticks had zero cheese stuffed in them. Perhaps the quality could of been due to the timing of the order, as when we picked up our food the restaurant seemed quite busy. The owners seemed very friendly and looking at the customers inside the restaurant, everyone seemed to be enjoying their food. With that said, I would give Pizza Bella another try making sure to dine in and avoid the holidays.

AMAZING PIZZA! Authentic - straight from Italy! NO JOKE! Everyone knows to go to "BERT'S bar & grill" across the street.... But this is a little secret that everyone needs to know about! Homemade sauce & veggies cut by hand every day! If you like a lot of cheese - ask for extra. BEST PIZZA I have ever put in my mouth!

To say that this is a great pizza places absolutely and understatement. This is the best pizza I've ever had my life, when I entered into this small quaint to business, my first thought is this is nothing like I expected. Within 2 minutes of walking into this establishment I met the owner, and we struck up a conversation talking about the World Cup that was on TV. We continue to talk and I realized how incredibly nice this man was and shortly thereafter realize that he was indeed the owner. Although we were there to get her pizza to go, he spent the entire time with us talking about everything from his business to his village in Italy. He made the experience absolutely incredible. There is absolutely no doubt that I will frequent this establishment without question I will be there again very soon. If you are ever within a 30 minute drive of this place, you better get out there and check it out, unbelievable.

Had dinner there. Sat out front it was a nice night. Food and service were good. I will return. Faster cook times and it would of been 5 stars. Pizza was thin, crispy and very tasty. Chicken parm dinner was very good.

This was quite simply the best pizza I have ever had. Very small and charming place that is family run, all of the food is homemade and the owners are very friendly and welcoming. Wine selection was red or white, had the red which was very, very good. Tiramisu for dessert was out of this world. This place is a gem and should not be missed.

When we walked in the door we knew this place was going to be good. It's all about authentic Italian food. The plain old spaghetti and meatballs and ravioli wowed us. Best Italian food since we were in Italy. Modest surroundings, reasonable.

Possibly the best pizza within 100 miles. Outstanding food. The little place could use a wrecking ball and a complete rebuild but the food can't get better. We found this little place by chance and I can't help but be sad at all the years wasted on other pizza places. Very friendly little Italian couple running the place direct from Italy. Great prices but even greater pizza.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
