Stopped in last year when we stayed in Marathon. We really enjoyed the Cuban coffee, pastries & breakfast sandwiches. I'll probably stop by 2 or 3 times this week. 8-30-15: Wish I was in the keys right now. Need a kick ass cafe like this in Michigan!

We stopped here on the way from Key West back to Miami because of the Yelp reviews - didn't want to stop off at a fast food joint. First, the people here were super nice. Second, the Cuban sandwiches were hands down the best ones we had on our trip, and that includes the ones we had in Miami. Only downside is the restroom situation - you have to go to the gas station, but it wasn't a huge deal (maybe would have been if it was raining, though). They had some amazing looking pastries and desserts which we didn't try.

Visiting the area I visited Laurie's deli. Empty pastries display shelves so we ordered a Cuban and pastrami. Food took an extremely long time to prepare (30 min). Mediocre at best. Maybe breakfast is better but I won't be back.

I went to eat here because of the reviews but was very disappointed. The menu says Fresh but I know when food is frozen and processed. I'm Cuban and I've had plenty of fresh baked pasties before and these were no where near freshly baked. The Cuban I ordered tasted stale. Not at all what I expected from the rest of these reviews. I won't be going back and I won't be recommending this place either.

Extremely nice folks. Super friendly and funny. They made a great cuban sandwich and were happy to create a sandwich for the vegetarian in our group. Nice little local joint. Great stop for lunch or a quick sandwich to go before you hit the beach or the boat.

Awesome Cubans and guava pastries. We have been getting boat lunch to go for years from Lauries, good people, great food! Love it!

Perfect place for a sandwich. Eat there or take it to go. The locals like it and I see them greeted by first names which I think is a great sign for a deli. We had their Cuban sandwich which was really good. Great bread and they get it very crispy. Quality meats. Great stop on the way down to Key West.
