Love this place! A nice hidden gem out in Macclenny A little secret is you can order a personal side of guac for .80 cents. Best guac in town!!! Staff is very friendly, food comes out fast. Tons of lunch specials. Complimentary chips and salsa once you walk in.

This place has been here for a while and I just recently stopped in for the first time. I've heard pretty good things about it but I wasn't very impressed. The food was good except for the overwhelming taste of cilantro in everything; from the complimentary salsa to the topping on the chicken. It was so strong that I couldn't even finish the dish, but maybe that's just me since I haven't noticed any other reviews about it. The portions were a good size and the staff seemed very friendly. I'd definitely like to stop in and try their 99 cent tacos on Taco Tuesday.

My husband and I really like this place. We moved to the area last year from Southern California where great Mexican food is on every block. We are always seated immediately and greeted with a friendly smile. Chips are good and i love their salsa. Service is fast and the food is always delicious. I did once get shrimp in my fajitas and wasn't a fan of them. No biggie. Bathrooms are always clean and the womans bathroom has a changing table for the little ones. This restaurant will remain a favorite especially because its close by.

Very refreshing place for our small town. The place looked great. Very clean, neat and organized. The attention fr our server was great too. He was very polite and kept our glasses full. The prices were reasonable and there was a large variety to choose from. The chips and salsa were great. The salsa had a bit if kick to it. We plan on trying them for dinner one evening too. They advertised $2 beers on Wednesdays! They also have a small bar area that looked inviting! I only gave a 4 star due to it taking a little longer than i expected to get our lunch. But it was a little busy.

I was very excited to hear that this small town has yet another Mexican restaurant! Although, the location is a bit scary being there has been several restaurants at this location that obviously did not make it. It's a pretty big place, but they way they set up makes it look great. There is a small separated bar area, that is nice! Very clean and really nice staff. They tend to you rather quickly, which is wonderful. My drink never runs dry, regardless if it's virgin or alcohol. They do have drink specials throughout the week, I believe Tuesdays are the night to go for the best specials. They have a great and very strong margarita. I typically get a side of bean, a side of rice and a side of flour tortillas. It's what I grew up on so it reminds me of home :) Always very yummi. The chips and salsa are good as well. The salsa has a tiny bit of a kick to it, although I prefer it to have more or a kick... it's still good. As long as I live in the area and they stay in business, I will be back!

I decided to visit this spot since Cinco de mayo, my go to Mexican spot in Macclenny, closed down a while back. So far I have only had the chance to try the carnitas and the Laredo chicken breast. The carnitas are different from what I am used to experiencing at Mexican restaurants but it was still pretty good. They serve big cube like chunks of pork here. At first glance they looked like they would be flavorless but were actually pretty tasty. The Laredo Chicken breast is probably my favorite of the two. I've had this dish twice and it never fails to disappoint, so flavorful and delicious! Love the fresh Pico and melted cheese on top of the chicken breast. The restaurant it self is pretty large and accommodating for large groups. I definitely like it here and will probably be a frequent customer.

Finally! Great Mexican food in Northeast Florida. I'm from California, lived in Florida for almost nine years, and lived in Macclenny for six of those years. Always have been on the search for great Mexican cuisine ever since. Who knew I would find it in Baker County? Glad they're here. You can always judge a Mexican restaurant by the tamales, and they were awesome.

This was the worst tasting Mexican I have ever had. The chicken was a cheap quality and makes me wonder if it was chicken! I had a chicken burrito and my guest had a chicken quesadilla it took over 45mins to get the food. Both plates tasted horrible. I recommend Taco Bell 5 times over this place. On checking out we had to wait while the girl answered a text message. I'm planning on trying it one more time but the food will have to be free for that to happen!

The best cheese enchiladas ever! The bean burrito was only so-so. The chips were perfect. Our group of three adults and two munchkins were all happy with the food. Even the little guac hater ate the guacamole! Everything I sampled was great except for the bean burrito. Fast and friendly service. Will certainly be back when I am out that way!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
