Called to make a last minute order, thinking they were going to say they couldn't do it... much to my surprise, without hesitation, they said 'sure we can!'. I told them I needed a retirement cake in the design of a landfill. His response... I don't even know what a landfill is! I couldn't help but laugh! Then asked if I could email them a picture of what we were looking for. Yes! He says... About 30 minutes later, I call to find out if that was something they could do. Yes! She says.. because he was out for lunch :) I was a little concerned about what the cake would look like, being they didn't know what a 'landfill' was. But much to my delight... they did a fantastic job! Not only did the cake design strike a hit with everyone at work... the cake tasted deliciouso!
Cant help but want to try it all (at every visit). Love this place! The cakes are scrumptious!! Must Try!!
Best freaking vanilla frosting I've ever had. I don't know what makes their frosting so good, but its like crack!! All i ever get is a plain yellow cupcake with vanilla frosting. Nothing can top this simple treat. The staff haven't been too friendly anytime I've been there, but it gets overlooked as soon as i taste the frosting!!!!

Awesome dive bar that we found driving home from Spring Break. While their TVs are small, they have no problem changing it to whatever sporting event you'd like to watch. The staff is super friendly, and the menu, while not that extensive, is perfect for it. We all got burgers, which are a great deal with how big they are and how many toppings they put on it. While we didn't get any of their wings, we saw an order of them and they were huge! All in all, I would definitely suggest stopping by if you're in the mood for great food at a great price.
It's an ok place. Wings are good. It's a small local sport bar. Our service was good. She was nice and friendly. Parking can be tough when they are busy. Sometimes you will need to park across the street. They have a few TVs.
Amazing food, the hot-lanta was absolutely perfect. Gave a 4/5 because the wait staff acted as if we were an inconvenience. Other than that the atmosphere was as expected and the food was fantastic.

Stopped in for lunch on Thanksgiving Day and was blown away by the excellent service and food!! This may be some of the best seafood offered on the east coast and 10x better than any chain restaurant. The owner's are super-friendly and went out of there way for me and my fiance...highly recommended!!!
I came in at noon on a Thursday and was seated immediately. I ordered two appetizers: broiled blue crab claws and fried green tomatoes. It took nearly 30 minutes to get my food, and I was starting to wonder. As soon as I took the first bite, I realized the wait was worth it. The crab claws were fantastic and the tomatoes were the best I have ever tasted. After I finished the crab claws, I went back through them to make sure I had gotten every morsel. They were that good. There were 7 big, thick, juicy tomato slices. I took 3 of them home in order to save room for key lime pie, which was also excellent. The total bill was $20 including tax.
This is a fried-fish place. I came here to get fried fish. I got fried fish--crispy, light, tender fried fish served by friendly, attentive staff at good prices! We dined on the patio which is situated out of the evil Florida summer sun. Ceiling fans discourages the inevitable fly and keeps it cool in the shade. I recommend that you stop in for some good food!

Love this place! A nice hidden gem out in Macclenny A little secret is you can order a personal side of guac for .80 cents. Best guac in town!!! Staff is very friendly, food comes out fast. Tons of lunch specials. Complimentary chips and salsa once you walk in.
This place has been here for a while and I just recently stopped in for the first time. I've heard pretty good things about it but I wasn't very impressed. The food was good except for the overwhelming taste of cilantro in everything; from the complimentary salsa to the topping on the chicken. It was so strong that I couldn't even finish the dish, but maybe that's just me since I haven't noticed any other reviews about it. The portions were a good size and the staff seemed very friendly. I'd definitely like to stop in and try their 99 cent tacos on Taco Tuesday.
My husband and I really like this place. We moved to the area last year from Southern California where great Mexican food is on every block. We are always seated immediately and greeted with a friendly smile. Chips are good and i love their salsa. Service is fast and the food is always delicious. I did once get shrimp in my fajitas and wasn't a fan of them. No biggie. Bathrooms are always clean and the womans bathroom has a changing table for the little ones. This restaurant will remain a favorite especially because its close by.

Ill update my Hardees review.. Ok yall i know its just a fast food joint. But to me, its the best one we have in Macclenny as far as serving breakfast and lunch.. You can never go wrong with the breakfast here. I got 6 sausage biscuits this morning for about $6.50. The lunch is always hot and fresh to me cause it seems they make most of the burgers as you order them. They also have the Red Buritto taco selections but i can honestly say ive never had that. The employees here are always nice, clean and friendly as well.

Firehouse Subs

Reviews:
Why do we continue to go back to the same places for the same thing? Because of the quality of food, and the excellent service we receive. Our local Macclenny Firehouse is the best at both. Always fast, friendly service, and fresh sandwiches; hot or cold. No matter how hard I try, I can't get away from the Hook & Ladder. "Welcome to Firehouse!"
This was the first time I've ever eaten at a Firehouse Subs before, being from Iowa, but it was the highlight of the day. This particular restaurant was very big and roomy, and the location was great. The staff looked clean and were very hospitable, and service was fast. I would definitely recommend this place or any other of the chain!
This ia probably the biggest Firehouse Subs Ive ever been in. Its always clean and the staff is the usual friendly type. The sandwiches are always consistent with other Firehouses. It just seems like it takes longer than it should. Usually about 5-8 minutes to get your sub. Not going to let that ruin my review though. The Steamer is my choice. Its always hot and fresh. The bread is fresh and just the right consistency. They also have the fancy Coke machines. I get the sweet tea..just like granny makes.. :)

My personal favorite restaurant in Macclenny. The pizza is on point the price is okay and the service is usually fantastic.
I decided to give this place a try being I had no place to watch the Gators play, other than the house... and really, who wants to sit at home alone!?! Not this girl! The place was pretty dead, except for a few Bulldog fans. They were fun people though, and they cleared out when their game was over. In comes a few more... this time a Seminole was in the bunch. I was clearly outnumbered! They do not offer draft beer, and that is ok with me being I like a bottle anyways. I ordered boneless buffalo 'wing's... they are not wings at all. They were more like frozen chicken strips. The flavor was ok, but a frozen chicken strip... is well... exactly that! You could not mistake it for being fresh! I'd say the pricing was decent, I got outta there with only losing $12! (and I had four mich ultra's). The owner, who was also the bartender for the night, Terry, was a very sweet lady. She kinda overlooked me at first. I'm thinking maybe because I'm not a regular? Not sure. But, she did come around and was more social as the evening went on. She told me about their specials during the week and the night to come is apparently Thursdays. Gonna give it a try!
Good food. Known Terri for yrs. April Flipper is my favorite. Nice place to have some good food and see friends over a beer. The Karaoke turn out is very popular.

New just opened a lil while ago so we decided to give it a try was very impressed the place has been totally renovated (previous breakfast place there could charitably be called a dump) now its very clean and well lit and the food is great....I can honestly say its the best place I have ever eaten at in MacClenny. I got a steak rider and my wife got the chicken fried steak, the rider was real good real steak ad real fresh not frozen meat. the chicken fried steak was absolutely tremendous tender, hot and crispy fried crust outside moist and delicious the best I ever tasted, the gravy was real nice and smooth with just the right amount of pepper. Try it you will like it!!!
Our first 3 times here were great, fabulous salad bar, good soup, good food, good service. Tonight we went there for husband's 45th birthday and were very disappointed. It was medium busy when we arrived. we were seated fast but the waitress was pushy about getting our order, didn't want to give us time to look at the menu. We placed our order..... salad bar, 2 burgers. Salad bar was lovely as usual, burgers took forever. Waitress bought our check, then realized we had not gotten our burgers. When we got the burgers they were dried out.... had obviously been sitting too long. Waitress did not acknowledge that she had let them sit, only kept repeating "I'm sorry Sweetie" She did offer eventually to get us new burgers. Not willing to sit and wait another hour so we declined. Sad to say that our 4th visit there was very disappointing.... we will go back because the food has been good before this time but hope we don't get the same waitress.
Would i opt to eat here on the weekend and drive all the way from Jacksonville?? Hell no. Is it a decent place to eat when you work in macclenny and are tired of fast food? Sure! Sixth street is a small restaurant with cozy wooden benches, and upstairs they have a loft setting for larger parties. Not too fun carrying your salad bar plate or soup up those steps though. I do like the salad bar a lot, but the regular food is just alright. Salad bar is small, but it really has everything you could possibly want on it. Lots of different meats, cheeses, and pasta salads. You also get to have soup with the salad bar and they usually have the choice of 2 different soups. Ive had a steak here before and it really wasn't cooked very well, especially for this place being called a steakhouse. Ive had a few other dishes, but really nothing worth mentioning. If your going here id recommend the salad bar as a meal or as a side in case your disappointed with your main course!
