I loved the sushi, but not as much with the Thai. I imagine it could be because we are from Seattle and the style might be different that what we normally see. We got the phad thai and phad kee mao both were fine, but not as spicy as we expected. The service was great. We'd come back here for sure.

Best Thai in Lauderdale by the sea! So happy they are finally open! Their Tom Kai Gai is the best I've had in a very long time, and their Sangria is so beautiful and fresh! Their manager, Tom, (I think his name is?) and Aja are so nice and professional!

Great sushi and Thai food. It's a little restaurant not too good for large groups but the food is one of the best Thai spots I have been too. The employees are extremely friendly and provides great customer service. They even gave us free donuts for being fist timers. Definitely going back

Awesome sushi!!! Spilling over from the Village Pumps sushi bar this is a great little spot for lunch or dinner. Chef Johnny and his wife rock that little ktchen. The Sunny roll is delicious and the Papaya salad is my favorite! Ted keeps the restaurant running smoothly and always has someone smiling. The decor is beautifully simple it's great atmosphere for dinner at the sushi bar or with some friends!

Cute little Thai/Sushi place with amazing happy hour specials! Sam and I were out this past weekend looking for an inexpensive meal. I happened to stumble upon pictures of Pump Sushi on Yelp. One of the pictures I saw was of their happy hour menu. According to the menu, happy hour is Tuesday- Sunday 5pm-7pm. The prices that made my mouth drop were $3 sushi rolls and $6 Pad thai!! So cheap!! I immediately knew we had to head over to Pump Sushi. When we arrived there were only a handful of other people there, but the place is pretty small and there were only 2 tables available. We chose the table in the back. Service was great! They were super quick and very friendly. We came around 5:45pm, so we were able to order off the happy hour menu. In order to order off this menu you have to purchase a beverage. We chose to go with Thai Iced Teas- delicious!!! For our meals we both ordered JB Rolls (our favorites) and Pad Thai. I got the chicken and Sam got pork. I also ordered a dragon roll. Everything was very tasty. I enjoyed every bit of our meal and so did Sam. I would like to come back outside of Happy Hour to sample from a more diverse menu as the happy hour menu only has select options.

As of this review, Pump Sushi Thai Cuisine is the latest of restaurants, having open for business about two weeks ago in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. With address noted at 222 Commercial Blvd, Suite 105, the front and entrance way is actually off of Seagrape Drive. Everything in the restaurant is brand new, sparklingly clean; not being a rehab of a prior existing restaurant operation. The menu is primarily of Thai cuisine with an offering of 10 appetizers, 5 soups, 7 salads, various rice and noodle dishes with a choices of chicken, beef, pork, tofu, shrimp or squid, and assortment of Thai entrees including a whole snapper, a grilled lamb, a crispy duck or soft shell crabs with a choice of 12 sauces. They also offer a good number of rolls including California, al a carte of sushi or sashimi, a roll selection of "Chef's Creation," boats which are actually served in little boats, and Japanese entrees of tempuras and teriyakis. For my meal I ordered the soft shell crab dinner with Thai spicy basil sauce along with a Thai peanut dressing salad and brown rice. The crab came served with exquisite presentation having a small side of julienne carrot topped off with a purple orchid. It was beautiful to look at and tasty as well, however, I found the flavor of the Thai basil to be rather weak, impalpable and unpronounced. For liquor it is beer and wine only. I had a glass of house sauvignon blanc which came with a generous pour and I found the service not only to polite but top notch professional in every way. As I've only eaten here once, I can't honestly say I'm a fan of Pump Sushi, but from what I had, comparing it to other Thai cuisine based restaurants of the area, I'm going Four Stars.

We really enjoyed the food as we had a veritable feast during happy hour. Other reviewers have mentioned how courteous the waitress is and we couldn't agree more.

I love this place its a spin off of the Village Grill sushi and its a hit. As the old location of LaSpadas I had wondered who could fill the void...poof here comes Johnny, a master of creation and presentation of fine sushi! There is never a let down here especially when I let him decide the dish...Thai or sushi is the only question and hes off to the races. One night its fried whole snapper the next tiger tear salad with a side of exceptionally melt in your mouth fresh sashimi. Do yourself a favor and stop in this great little spot. You will leave delighted and wanting to come back at the first chance! Kudos to his wife as well making Thai cuisine a staple of my 2015 diet already!!!

Sushi was good, but not fantastic. Food took forever to get for a table of 3, and we were the only ones dining in at the time. A couple came in for takeout after we did, and got their food faster than us. All we ordered was sushi. The fish atop some of the rolls was small. I would go back if we were in the area, but it wouldn't be my go-to. They did, however, give 2 free small salads, I assume for our wait. Our waitress was very nice.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Great neighborhood find, off the beaten path and worth searching out! I have an auto-immune condition and they're very accommodating to my needs, which I deeply appreciate. Any friends I bring with me are always pleased with whatever they've ordered and the friendly, attentive service can't be beat. I love the atmosphere and their attention to detail. A GREAT FIND :)

Same owners as Village Grill and Village Pump! This place is open earlier in the day than their other sushi place next to the Village Pump. Sushi is good!

BEST Tom Kha soup since forever ago!!!! And they got my order correct! They even used the straw mushrooms instead of those cheap white button things. Pad Thai was a bit sweet, still rates a 5. My two companions say the sushi lunch was excellent. Service outstanding! Small, cozy, clean venue.

Loved this place and their happy hour 5-7pm Tuesday thru Sunday is amazing! Half off on most items and sizes remain the same! Not many places do Happy Hour on weekends! I had JB hand roll excellent. Red curry chicken amazing and sexy roll fresh and awesome! Their raspberry sweet tea bottomless was a great variation for sweet tea. Service is excellent and place is clean and and inviting. Nice tvs to keep up with games. This place is heaven!

Four of us dined at Pump Sushi for the first time. We were all impressed with the menu variety (Thai and Japanese- both the Sushi and Cooked Entrees) as well as the quality, preparations, and prices of the dinner options. We shared the Seaweed and Papaya Salads and enjoyed both. The Papaya was not too spicy, as we have experienced at other Thai Restaurants. Friends ordered the Sea Bass, one in garlic sauce and other Thai Spicy Basil. Both were excellent. Another dish that was very good was the Tofu in Red Curry Sauce. As good as any other authentic Thai Curry Sauce. I ordered the Spicy Seafood Salad. Though considered an appetizer, it was large enough to be considered a meal and perfectly seasoned with large pieces of shrimp, mussels, octopus, and conch. Considering the friendly service, high quality of fish, tasty preparations, and moderate prices, this is definitely a restaurant I will recommend to friends and return so that I can enjoy other menu choices.

First time here and Ted was so accommodating. Sat at the bar and designed my own rolls and asked for certain things and they did everything I requested. I was super picky and they were super sweet. They even gave us some dessert on the house. Great Place! I wish them the best of luck and I hope word get out about them. Free parking next to the restaurant no need for quarters.

From the minute we walked in we were taken care of. We were treated so nicely. And the food was so delicious. Loved the selection of Asian beers too. We will be regulars for sure. We had the Village roll, conch salad and chef Johnny's signature lobster roll.
