This place is horrible! The food is horrible, bland, & the service was horrible. My husband ordered the filet mignon special & we sat there for over 20 minutes after our salad before the waitress told us they hold sold out of the special. I was excited about ordering the stuffed cod w/sherry cream sauce...there was no cream sauce just butter w/no hint of sherry & when I asked I was told it was a beurre blanc that soaked in. Then you should take cream sauce out of the description... The waitress then brought me a dish of the sauce they pour overtop & it was garlic aioli, which they obviously did not use as the marinade on the fish.I guess they don't get a lot of people that know food here. Never coming back here! When they found out I was not happy w/my $21.95 meal they should have offered to swap it out for something else.

Used to frequent the old Benny's in Boynton. A dive, but always had great burgers and lobster specials. Wait service was never an issue. Not so at the new Benny's in Lantana. The actual restaurant is bigger and cleaner. Still in a not so nice mini center. We have given them 4 chances and husband refuses to go back. Wait service is sketchy at best. We experienced terrible to pretty good wait service on our 4 visits. First visit lobsters were great, but sides were delivered towards end of meal after asking the waiter numerous times where they were. He forgot my wine and he finally brought it to me when I was done with dinner! I refused it. Couldn't even find him to pay our bill! The manager was very nice and gave us 20% off our bill and asked us to come back again. The last visit was not good. Went on their burger special day with my 94 year old mother. Burgers were ordered med. rare, they came out raw on the inside. Sent them back...had to wait, came back looking like they were sent....still raw! Sent back again. This time came back over done. The waitress was apologetic about it, but it was not the pleasant lunch with my elderly mother which we had intended it to be. Sorry Benny's. You were my go-to place for lobster specials. Plenty of competition in the area for my favorite crustaceans!

I write this review after being with a large group in their private service area on three different occasions. The horrible service has become a joke in the group and for some reason they have wanted to return. Personally, no matter how good the company, I will not be returning. The food was acceptable. None of the sides were as ordered. The waitress developed an attitude, snipping to the group that I had extra vegetables and was still not happy. There were many similar incidences of screwed up orders. One gentleman received coleslaw about 10 minutes prior to the remainder of the meal. It appears the staff has never been in a restaurant or had any idea of service or respect for its customers. As a result of three experiences, I will not recommend this place to anyone.

Had high hopes for this place given the remodel. This place failed to deliver as soon as we sat down. Service was way behind poor and very slow. Food was never cleared from the table and we kept having to flag down our waitress for help. When we asked her about wines she replied, "I don't really know, I don't drink wine." Salads arrived just a minute before the main courses came out, poor timing. The 2 lb lobster was supposed to come cracked and it barely was. It was a lot of effort for little gain. The lobster tails ordered came out raw, cold in the center and translucent - not good. The manager did get it refired and then appologized, taking it off the bill because they ran out of tails and just had to reheat this one. Thus, a rubbery and tasteless tail to go with cold butter - yum, I think not. Best dish ordered was the all you could eat cod, but it did take a LONG time for it to come out. Same thing for the crab stuffing as we were told they already ran out and had to make more. Really, at 630pm on a Friday??! If you want lobster and service and enjoyment - go across the street to the Station House. If you want fish fry, and are willing to suffer through subpar service and long waits, head here.

We always bring our fresh caught fish here to be cooked. They will cook it for you fried or grilled and it comes with 2 sides. The wait staff is pleasant and they have good specials nightly.

Three stars for the food - grilled oysters, mussels, mahi mahi and lobsters were well enjoyed by our table. Sides dishes were pedestrian, but the cole slaw was notable. Minus two stars for the service. What happened to first come, first served? Waitress served a huge eight-top ahead of our five. Also, she kept messing up our order. The head of our table ordered the stuffed snapper, and it came out a half hour after the rest of us got our food. Total time for a Friday night dinner ran from 8:30 to 11 for a table of five - and the place was half-filled. Wait staff (or maybe the kitchen) need to get their act together.

Food blows. Crappy service, bad neighborhood. If you want better food go across the street. How hard is it to get a meal out on time and cooked to order? They can not even get that right. If you want explosive diarrhea then this is the dump for you.

Sam was a great waitress. She had several large tables but did not forget about us two. I had the lobster, he had the stuffed yellowtail. Crudités was a nice start with their garlic bread. Baked potato was good. Mac n cheese was a little dried out as was the rice. Lobster was cooked good as was the yellowtail. He didn't like the dried out stuffing on top thought there should be a sauce for some moisture. Kinda reminds me of a bar that serves food except the yuengling was $4. I guess the have rolling rock for $2.

Absolutely awful! Terrible customer service. Our waitress was rude and when we asked about our food she said there are 4 tables ahead of you. Not even an I'm sorry. As someone who was here on vacation from Illinois I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. We actually ended up leaving after waiting for over an hour on our food we left and ordered a pizza. If I could rate it a zero I would.

Benny's was a major disappointment. This review is based on mostly service since our food never came out. Benny's is pretty new to the area and after hearing from my husband and some friends how great their lunch was a few weeks back I really wanted to check it out my self. Benny's is located in an older strip mall right next to a convenient store. The area was a bit sketchy for me and the characters hanging outside of the convenient store were enough to make me never want to walk around there alone at night. Parking was a nightmare but they do offer valet which was nice. The restaurant is large and although it was busy there was plenty of seating and we did not have to wait for a table. Right away our waitress came over and took our drink orders and about 5 minutes later we ordered their smoked wings to start. Wings were pretty good. I've had coal fired but never smoked. The flavor was great and the wings were juicy. We asked for a side of ranch and after 10 minutes of waiting and the wings getting cold we asked another employee walking by and immediately he came back with 2. This is when the night went down hill fast...... Either our server forgot to put our dinner order in or the kitchen was running hours behind because dinner never arrived. We waited exactly one hour and fifteen minutes after we arrived to ask our server when our dinner would be out. She looked at us with confusion in her eyes and said she would go check. She went missing for another 10 and when she finally came back said it would be out any minute. At that point we were tired, hungry and fed up so we said just get us the check and we will skip the dinner. She apologized and said she would be right back with the check....... 10 more minutes. We joked at this point there HAD to be a hidden camera on us! Finally I asked the hostess to find our waitress or just bring us the check. To be honest I felt like we were begging the employees to take our money for the wings, one soda and a wine. Finally we got our check and a gentleman who seemed to maybe be a manager came over and apologized for the undelivered food and asked us to please come back and give them a second try. Although I appreciate that someone at this restaurant finally acknowledged that this was NOT OKAY, I will not be going back anytime soon. Your probably thinking maybe we ordered a dish that is time consuming right? Nope, just a roast beef sandwich and fried seafood platter. In the time that we waited for the check alone they could have whipped up our dinner. Maybe this was an isolated situation but the way they handled it or didn't handle it was my deciding factor on never returing.

Total let down. It's like they don't even care. Nice server but didn't listen at all. Food was mediocre at best and don't order the fried pickles as they charge $7 for 7 pickles. I would pass on this one.

Food was decent. Our table made two lobster orders and one fried cod. Two pound lobster was a bit chewy and could probably have been cracked better. The fried cod was ok, had I realized how small it was I would probably have ordered the all-you-can-eat for $2 more. Service was a little slow, but the restaurant was packed. Once we got our server talking, things seemed a lot smoother. I would go back but the place is pricey for what you actually get.

We were a party of 4 on Mothers Day evening and each of us ordered something different. Everyone was pleased with their food. The turkey was moist and the sides were fine. The lobster was not the best we've had but was well worth the price. The broiled scallops were very good. Vegetables were fresh and al dente. Baked potatoes were made without being wrapped in tin foil and the skin was good. Service was excellent. Our waitress was not the one assigned to our table but she was sweet and very attentive. We will go back again but probably not after dark unless there is a valet. The prices were very reasonable. The decor reminded me of a seafood restaurant in Cape Cod, where I spent many summers as a kid.

Went for advertised lobster special and they were out of lobster. They had one person waiting table for 15; tables . Awful.

We have been to Benny's when it was in Boynton beach where we live and the food left much to be desired. Lately I've been hearing alot of talk around town about how much better it is since moving to Lantana so we decided to give it a whirl. We were seated with Erin as our server and she was very accommodating, not to mention cheerful & funny too. She made us feel very comfortable right away. Our food came out promptly and cooked to our specifications exactly. Now that impressed me because, we eat out almost every night since my husband and I are servers & after a hard day working in a restaurant who wants to cook! Lol Anyway, we've had our orders take forever, come out wrong come out raw etc but at Benny's every detail was just as we asked. The communication between server & kitchen had to be great for this to happen. So here I'd like to commend Erin & the kitchen staff, especially executive chef Brad for making our visit a pleasant one. We will definitely be back and plan on telling our friends in Boynton it's definitely worth the short ride for such a pleasant experience. Keep up the good work.

Went there with friends and ordered roast beef club sandwich. Big mistake, the roast beef was tough, couldn't even chew it up.

Service was excellent along with the food. Parking lot a little scary after dark. Use the valet service. Gorgonzola and shrimp salad and French dip sandwich was very good better than typical chain restaurant. Wait staff friendly and fast. Overall experience was very good because of the food. Will be returning.

2 lb lobsters were sweet and tender. Ask for Erin to be your server. The new chef, Bradley, introduced himself and asked if dinner was ok. Billy, the manager, is cordial and accommodating. The decaf was exceptionally good too.

Just had an exceptionally disappointing meal here. We waited for over an hour after sitting down before getting our entrees. My grandfather ordered the crab cakes and was then told they only had one left. When our food finally did come, there were no crab cakes served at all and they completely neglected to inform us. Their excuse was that there was "a big party in the next room." Unless you like overcooked fish and treated with second class service, do not spend your time visiting Benny's.
