Awesome food in a casual laid back atmosphere. The first time we went I had the eggs Benedict and my husband had the biscuits and gravy. My eggs were poached perfectly and the side of home fries was delicious. My husbands gravy was seasoned well, unlike many other bland biscuits and gravy I have had. The club wrap is also very good and made with quality ingredients. Very friendly family-owned restaurant with awesome staff. Very mom and pop kind of place. Definitely our favorite breakfast/brunch/lunch spot in the Lakewood Ranch area!
Sunday brunch. They were overwhelmed by the business. Service was slow, the eggs were all overcooked, and the presentation was lacking somewhat. I would return but probably during off peak hours.
I attempted to take my 5 year old to lunch after picking him up from preschool last Friday. We walked in and noticed a family with two small children enjoying a late breakfast. Somewhere in the back there was a screaming baby. All things I am used to. I am a mother of three so I know how hit or miss going out to eat can be. That being said I was SHOCKED when the very rude waitress barked at my son for sniffing the pepper shaker. "That's not nice!" she said. Meanwhile the baby next to us had food all over the place making a huge mess. I told her I would clean the pepper shaker. I pulled out a antibacterial wipe from my bag and cleaned the salt and pepper shaker. Clearly the first time that had been done. I left the filthy wipe on the table next to the clean shakers and my son and I left. He said he didn't want to be with the mean lady. When we got in the car he told me that I was the best cook anyway. I was sad because we had been here many MANY times and never actually been disappointed. The food is ok. When you don't want to cook your own breakfast its fine. Its never been the cleanest place...but after seeing what came off of the shakers I wonder how dirty everything else is. We won't be back.

Just unbelievable. What an incredible experience. It's small an quaint. But, grandiose in Atmosphere. Al our Server greeted us. Offered lots of info in reference to their different fresh catch available. It was our first visit here. Als vibrant personality and charisma is contagious. A true gentleman. In every sense of the word. Stared with the Hot Jasmine Tea. Prepared fresh from loose leaves in a unique small Tea Pot that held the leaves in a reservoir in the center. The Aroma was relaxing and therapeutic. No tea bags here. WOW! A great variety of curries. Their menu is far from the ordinary. I started my meal with the Tom Kha, Soup, it consists of a coconut broth,w/galonga root, scallions, thick and plentiful mushrooms with a nutty robust fresh flavor. And, yes with the Aromatic ever so popular Lemon Grass. The Chicken or Tofu is a 2.95 and the Shrimp is 3.95 generous portions. Priced Right. I opted for the Tofu. I look forward to having this soup again. Next, I ordered the Dragon Roll. With a twist, requested the Smoked Salmon instead of the Tuna and also requested the Spicy Mayo. Delicious:-)) We also ordered the Panang Curry Chicken. Can also be prepared w/Beef, Shrimp and Tofu. Creamy delicious and plentiful. Served w/The Aromatic Jasmine Rice. Looking forward to many future wonderful meals here. Complements to the Chef.
I dropped in here desperate for a quick lunch. I had one hour to eat between six hours of medical testing. Besides the fact that it is fast, I like Thai because I can get it vegetarian and gluten-free. It's a beautiful space with wide comfortable booths and the staff is smart, quick and gracious. I ordered the green curry with just vegetables and iced tea. The presentation was over the top! Gorgeous! The curry and rice were perfection - just the right amount of sauce at a perfect thickness with a gently sweet flavor, perfectly cooked vegetables, and perfectly cooked rice. Thai Spice and Sushi just zoomed to the top of my favorite Thai restaurants. Can't wait to come back and try the sushi (kappa maki or vegetable of course)!
This Thai Spice restaurant is actually right by where I work, and I'm so happy my coworkers took me here for lunch. I'm completely hooked on the sushi! The spicy tuna rolls are so delicious - along with the dynamite and japanese bagel rolls. Everything is so fresh and flavorful. The major bonus for me is how the sushi is rolled nice and tight! Nothing is worse than loosely rolled sushi that just falls apart when you try to grasp it with chopsticks. The service is quick and the staff are extremely friendly. When we order sushi, they also give you a spring roll with some sweet chili sauce as a starter. Of course, the spring rolls are delicious too as they are nice and crispy. The restaurant is very small, but the interior decor is very nice - and clean! This is definitely my favorite go-to sushi place in town. I am recommending Thai Spice to my friends and family who enjoy sushi as much as I do.

Ordered a fabulous pink birthday cake from Pastries by Design with a black bow and pink high heel. The cake was AMAZING! Not only did it took like a million bucks but it tasted beyond delicious. The cake far exceed my expectations and I highly recommend Pastries by Design. I will be back! Outstanding!!
I've been back twice since my 1st review & their cupcakes are DE-LIC-OUS! 2nd time I had the key lime cupcake (YUM) & today my husband brought me a red velvet cupcake (& typically I'm not a red velvet fan because many don't get it right) but Pastries by Design got it right! I love this place!!! The most consistent place I've been to so far while being in Bradenton.
I'm sold! My parents ordered 2 birthday cakes for me from here and both were out of this world. Chocolate cake with chocolate ganache-to die for and one with almond cake and choc moose. People from my party were still talking about the cake weeks later. I then ordered my mom a carrot cake for her birthday, and very impressed. The cake was dense, yet very moist and the cream cheese icing was perfect-not overly sweet. It was also decorated beautifully. It had beautiful sparkly blue sugar butterflies all over it (and I hadn't even asked for it). I recently got an assortment of cupcakes for my husband's birthday and they were great too. Many of the cupcakes had filling inside which was a nice surprise. The chocolate raspberry was great! The prices are on the higher side, but definitely worth it for the quality of cake you are getting. Pastries by design is definitely my go-to stop for every occasion!

Fast N Fresh

Not like I need more bread and carbs in my life but this is a great sandwich alternative to Panera, Subway, etc..and is indeed fast and fresh. They even serve alcoholic beverages at their establishment which is a leg up to you Panera Bread .
A bit expensive but great Salads and Sandwiches! Nice summertime meals! I will be back!
We tried Fast N fresh for the first time today. The restaurant is a pleasing green color with a somewhat industrial feel and butcher block tables and metal chairs. Ordering is easy. Somewhat like Crispers you order at the front. That is where is similarity ends. Seems like the chef takes your order and another person rings you out far down the line where you can also purchase chips bottled drinks and beer and wine. Fountain drinks are in the dining room. My husband ordered the Bistro Cheddar Panini. He described it as boring. I had the Wasabi Roast Beef Panini. I love Wasabi. This sandwich has cucumbers and spinach in it as well as the roast beef and horseradish. Too me it wasn't a great taste combination. It just wasn't. Maybe others would like that. The place was empty, save for one other couple and it took a little over 10 minutes to get our sandwiches. Seemed like forever. It was probably near closing time. The food was indeed fresh.

I live in Lakewood Ranch year round ...and I go out for breakfast every morning. I like the food here... But the service sucks! In particular, I don't like waiting over 30 minutes when half of the tables are empty. No reason for that. In fact, I asked the maitra d' if we could sit at the bar.... The answer was that I had to wait. Hummm, there are better choices: around the corner: First Watch, and The Broken Egg! Both are excellent choices without the wait. When the owner decides to hire a bus boy to clean the tables and reduce the line; then I'll be back. Until then, there are lots of choices! Here's a picture to prove my point.
Terrific breakfast choices. Surprisingly good eggs Benedict. Great service. My go to casual lunch bunk on Main Street.
IHOP? People still go there--if you do, clearly you haven't been to Station 400! My husband and I had the pleasure of experiencing this awesome establishment earlier today and I am so glad we did. Neither of us felt like cooking breakfast so I hopped on Yelp to see what my fellow Yelpers thought was the best place to go for brunch and lo and behold stumbling across this place was a Certified Win Win!! We did have a 20 minute wait (& it was raining) which only added to my hunger pains but it was well worth the wait! I ordered a cappuccino, a stack of (bacon & toffee) coffee pancakes with bacon on the side; while my husband ordered plain buttermilk pancakes. My pancakes were melt in your mouth delicious. The sweetness from the pieces of toffee added a nice crunch to the coffee flavored pancakes & vanilla flavored syrup (which I used very little of). It sounds sweeter than it really is but you have to try it for yourself. Moving along, I have a tendency to always taste whatever my husband orders as well and when I tell you his plain buttermilk pancakes were out of this world--believe me; you'll never want another IHOP pancake again! Often when I watch the Food Network channel and see chefs closing their eyes like what they just made is the best thing ever, I roll my eyes in disbelief because they do it so often and everything seems to be that good to them, but when I closed my eyes to savor the buttery, smooth and tasty flavor of my husbands' pancakes he dressed I. "Grade A" syrup--he did the exact same thing to me--rolled his eyes like yeah right but they were just that good. So good you just want to close your eyes and savor the flavor. To make a long story short, if you're ever in Sarasota & you're looking for breakfast/brunch stop by Station 400 you won't regret it. Go. Eat. Savor.

Fantastic! Excellent service( young man with red hair) - super helpful and polite. Delicious ice cream! Can't' wait to return.
I think I have found one of the more perfect ice cream flavor combinations to ever exist: Nutella and Back Cherry. Don't judge until you've tried it! I give myself a little credit for the idea but mostly the credit should go to Big Olaf's for having such wonderful flavors! They had a big selection of flavor choices, cone choices, toppings, etc. which is always a great thing in my book. My boyfriend asked for hot fudge on his; the lady gave him fudge, whipped cream and cherries! It was a win for me because he doesn't like whipped cream so it all got plopped into my cup! The reasons I gave this place a 4 instead of 5: First, it wasn't overly clean in there. Second, the lady working clearly knew the other customers so when we walked in and she had to stop her conversation, she looked at us like we were inconveniencing her. So, that's not exactly how I like to enjoy eating my ice cream although, I did enjoy eating my ice cream.
You'd think that with the size of the scoop they give you, they'd be able to give you more than one flavor in a small. No dice. Ice cream was okay. Good waffle cones.

This is the only restaurant we go to anymore! Anything we ever ordered off the menu was incredible! My boyfriend even tried to order something he knew he didn't like, and they made it fantastically, he couldn't believe it! The service is incredible as well, and the staff is friendly as could be.
Decent spot for something a little different. It's surrounded byItalian,Mexican and Sushi so it's not very crowded. They have an odd little breakfast menu. I wouldn't characterize it as "French"....it's more of a "creperie" I guess. Wouldn't a French bistro that is open for breakfast have an omelette on the menu? How about a quiche? Maybe a chocolate croissant? The crepes are not bad and neither is this spot in general. Give it a shot! Not here!
Very delicious authentic French Bistro with of course fantastic crepes. Very flavorful and great ambiance. Can bring your own wine but they do have a great selection of French wines. Small place but quaint with outside seating.

We came to this place because our movie was sold out. We were going to go see TrainWreck. There was plenty of outdoor seating available at 7:40 pm. The service staff was very nice. We ordered Goat cheese Chicken, which came with various veggies and delicious mashed potatoes. My husband got one of the salads with an interesting vinaigrette dressing plus a portion of haggis. We had ordered a scotch egg for an appetizer but it never came. When we pointed it out to the server he apologized and we said to just cancel it. Almost immediately the manager came to our table , apologized and offered one at no cost to us, to go. We accepted. The food was really good and the service friendly. We will return.
I had very high expectations for McAllister's due to the great reviews and the Mainstreet location. However, the food experience was a bit underwhelming. Not awful but not as expected. The Scottish theme is cool & our server was enthusiastic & knowledgable. They have tv's & a nice outdoor sitting area. But about the food; it's over priced for the quality. I LOVE bread & I didn't even eat the complimentary warm bread they offered (it wasn't anything special). I ordered the Salmon Florentine; the salmon & the spinach w/mushrooms were cooked perfectly & very flavorful but the rice & vegetables were awful (they both seemed to be cold, not very fresh, leftoverish). My husband ordered their most popular fish & chips; it was a huge portion & very fresh. It was also tasty but the breading kept falling off. Definitely not worth $16.99; maybe $8.99-$10.99. We've clearly had better meals for much less. Very disappointing! We probably won't return. If I go back it'll be to try the chicken potpie. Also, there was a couple that wasn't happy with their salad & had voiced that to a manager who was very attentive & apologetic. The manager offered to replace the salad & offered a dessert. I was impressed by his desire to offer a great experience.
This may be the best restaurant in Lakewood Ranch...but competition really is not stiff in the town center. MacAllisters offers the best you can get there though: good atmosphere and good food. They have a nice outdoor seating area which draws a good crowd. The restaurant inside is cavernous and dark, but very welcoming. Stone walls, lots of wood, good energy inside. We've eaten here several times over the past few years and it's always consistent. The kitchen cooked my salmon perfectly medium as I requested. The bar food apps and burgers are always a sure thing. Aside from the salmon, I would steer away from the other seafood. Our scallops and calamari were not the most appetizing or appealing, but then again, seafood is not their forte. It's certainly respectable they've included it along with a good variety of items to please the palettes of as many diners as possible. Service depends greatly on luck of the draw, but everyone is great for the most part. I would recommend you keep an eye on outdoor tables if you are waiting at a cocktail table outside, which by the way are for drinks only. The last time we were here our party of four waited an hour because the server and hostesses gave the four top to a two top who just walked up while a two top was open. It's like the meme, "You only have one job!" They couldn't do it, so beware.

Nice baristas who remember a lot of the regulars that comes in. Drinks taste about the same as other starbucks. I like this location just because it has very spacious seating. Two sets of very comfortable large couches (fits 4 total). There are even ones where you can put your feet up! Only con: more outlets! The 3 middle tables are not near any outlets, so you either have to grab the one table near the rear entrance or try to study with your laptop in your lap on the couch. Edit 08/31/13: they changed the seating! Took away the couches and replaced them with more tables and 4 new leather ones! So I give them 5 stars from 4 last time!
Very poor customer service at this location. I came in towards closing time and the shift leader was very short with me. She then proceeded to tell me I mumbled so she needed to clarify my drink order, even though the whole time I spoke to her she was giving orders to the other employees. As she was making the drinks she was very aggressive with the supplies and once she finished my drinks she placed them on the counter without a single word spoken. Overall it was a bad experience at this location and I hope they will pick their employees more carefully in the future.
Nice Starbucks located in Lakewood Ranch, just outside of Sarasota. If you happen to be in the area, this Starbucks is located within walking distance of the Lakewood Ranch Hospital. The interior is very large, with plenty of seating. They offer a nice selection of take and go food items by the register. Staff was very friendly and Espresso drinks were made very well.

I have been here several times and done take out from here numerous times. The burgers here never fail to satisfy. Today I chose a burger topped with provologne cheese, grilled onions, lettuce and tomato with a side of their delicious and smoky barbecue sauce. In attempt to be healthier I ordered a side salad instead of the Sweet potatoe fries I enjoy so much. I asked for the citrus mango vinaigrette and I'm glad I did because it was overly sweet. There was not the slightest hint or undertone of citrus. If you were to drink straight mango margarita mixer or a melted mango popsicle I imagine this is what it would taste like. Although the mixed greens were crisp and fresh the dressing prevented me from enjoying the salad. That atmosphere is a bit dim, it's not romantic lightening but that of a Scottish pub. The waiters are always friendly and the chefs work expeditiously. Our burgers were out to us in less than 10 minutes. Even when they are packed on Sunday during football season I have never had to wait more than fifteen minutes for a to go order at the bar. I recommend coming here for a beer or making a stop off the highway to come grab a burger.
Just ok food. Good for kids We had the tuna appetizer was really good. Service was excellent
