Super friendly, family owned restaurant that continues to be one of my favorite lunch spots. Good sandwiches, a few unique menu items and a great Antipasto salad

Sub's n' Such serves some of the best sandwiches in Lakeland and I usually order the Dean Garlic Special. This sandwich is basically a ham sandwich filled with provolone cheese, tomatoes, and a mixture of raw garlic, oil, and spices. The sandwich is fantastic! Not only is the ham delicious, the veggies fresh, and the bread soft, but the mixture of raw garlic, oil, and spices is full of unique and amazing flavor that compliments the sandwich perfectly.

I had the Dean Special and it had the right bread to meat ratio. The toppings where fresh and the garlic flavor complimented the sandwich. I will try this place again

Thanks to Yelp for having stumbled upon this gem. Little did I know that Subs n such is a true Lakeland institution that has been around for 38 years. Also upon a revered review, I ordered the Dean special before realizing the kind man who greeted me was the owner whose sandwich is his namesake. The garlic/pepper blend and oil on the sammy was out of this world! To top off the experience, Dean gave me a free drink for stopping in my first time. I'll definitely be back. And soon!

Nothing but friendly faces in here! The owners are here everyday working right in the store and they are the nicest people around! Amazing subs and great prices. It's one of the staples in beautiful Lakeland.

Cute little spot that is worth trying. The only reason why it doesn't have 5stars is because I saw too many people back there handling food without hairnets lol the Cuban is delish and good prices

One of the best local sub shops around. Their bacon egg & cheese on a Cresent roll for breakfast is amazing. Any one of their many subs are all great. My favorite is the club. They always stuff their subs to the point of items falling out. Their soups are worth trying also. Ive been going their for years and never been let down.

Great Cubans. Other subs look amazing and awesome shakes! Forget about the other crappy chains and support the local family run busineses. Wish they were open on Sundays!

This place is not only good the service great. I have been going here since a kid. I hate that the hours are banking hours when open. I went there Saturday for lunch. The ladies working we're happy to serve us. And the sub was made nice and neat. And the taste was great. When you go there, you need to try your sandwich. with peppers and oil & vinegar. There oil & vinegar has a taste of its own.

There was a 5-star build-up to try this place. It's a small cement "shack" in the middle of a parking lot. Their menu is pretty large but it takes a long time in the drive thru line to get your meal. there are a coupla tables with umbrellas outside, but most grab 'n go. If there were two in line, someone hops out the back door to take your order so that they are working on two at once. I was nonplussed. Bread was too dry and not well-balanced with the roast beef and provolone. They did not "get" the VERY LITE mustard part and I swear there was a slimey quarter cup on mine. Roast beef pretty tasteless. Sweeet pickes were nice touch. Said hot peppers but they were more the sweet red peppers--nothing hot. The menu says Pepsi & Coke but they were out of coke products. A hot dog is $1.50. It was bathed in mustard and onions so that you couldn't find the catsup or relish. It's their cheapest meal though and you can have it five ways. The 8" sub was a large size--but they don't compete with Subway, Quiznos or Firehouse. One trip was fine for me. 5/2015. Was nearby and decided to try again. Roast beef was thick but still flavorless. Bread was soft. Mustard "asked for thin" was still waayyyy too thick, onions too strong (removed), cheese was missing. Food is fresh and edible but doesn't make me want more. This smallest size was $7. (P.S. I wish R.M. would take out all his duplicate photos!!!)

I just came here from south Florida and this is a great local sub shop that you must visit. The food is great (I'm not sure about breakfast but the sandwiches r delicious) and the service is bright and friendly. There is a decent sized menu as well. I'll definitely be coming here more than once before I leave

Subs 'n Such is a Lakeland institution, having been established in 1977. The menu features submarine sandwiches, but don't hesitate to try the generously-sized salads, the burgers, and the other wonderful fresh food. The atmosphere is casual and the service is consistently friendly. Cash or checks are accepted.

My first impression was wow, very fresh bread ! I ordered the turkey sub with same add ons as I do at Sub Way. No comparison! This place beat them hands down. Small place but the great food and service made it better choice. BTW, dudes at the bike shop just down the street suggested the place so stop by "Bents Bike Shop" and look over their bike extras....lots of goodies! Oh, one more thingy, while I was waiting for my order, a guy comes in and said the had to stop in to get his own sub since they had catered his work place last week.

The Dean's Special is probably the single best sandwich you will eat in your entire life.
