Marco's is a chain out of Ohio. It's located in the corner of Lake Miriam Plaza. It's an OK pizza joint but nothnig special. I'm marking it less than "average" for multiple reasons. First, location--lousy place to park, on a busy unsafe corner where backing out is a major life threatener. Second, Pepsi products. Third, price. The smallest pizza starts at $6.99, cheese only. Every thing you add is $1. Their small specialty pizzas with combo toppings start at $10.99. When you can enjoy non-chain tasty JBurns for far less that this or get a large Li'l Caesars for $5 with one topping. There's no contest. Marco's was empty at 7 pm when I was there and very clean. Prices run about a dollar cheaper at lunch. Coupons and combo sales aren't a "draw" for me. I decided to try their famous sauce on a cheaper "Pepperoni Melt" sub $6. The clerk did not even know there was such an option which I took off the order sign next to the register but not in her sight.. Nonetheless, it was verified by the "cook" and came out in less than ten minutes and was about 8 inches long, with sauce, cheese and pepperoni. It had decent flavor and gooey cheese (but left a salty taste in my mouth for hours). Marco's does not have a "competitive edge" on price, location, popularity, menu or taste that would draw the customer back. Especially me.

Today I tried Marco's pizza. There pizza is very good. I had it delivered. It was very hot when it arrived. I was told, that if you like cheese.they load it up. And that is really true. I now have a new spot for pizza. Marco's will be taking the place. Of a couple of pizza joints that I visit or have delivered.

Wish I could give ZERO stars!! Horrible customer service and bad pizza! Owner brushed off rude manager and mistakes.

I like the pizza here. Its not the best pizza out there but its reasonably priced and comes out hot and fresh. Its better to eat it there since its hot out of the oven right to your table - can't beat a steaming pizza right from the oven with the cheese stringing to your plate - making me hungry!!

A few weeks ago, I noticed a pizza place at the Lake Miriam Shopping Plaza. Since then, I've been wanting to give it a go. Luckily, I received coupons for this establishment in the mail the other day so today, we headed off for a late lunch at Marco's Pizza. Our trip was dine-in but delivery is available. I thought it was more restaurant style but it is more on the order of Subway: order at the counter, pick a seat, and refills are at the soda fountain. The interior is nicely decorated; the stone, pizza oven wall around the counter is a nice touch. The manager took our order and was extremely pleasant. The back of the house is neatly kept and seems very clean. The front of the house is clean as well but there should be more attention to the cleanliness of the tables; a quick wipe-down with a sanitized clothe (after each customer) would do the trick. Our pizza was brought to us by a very pleasant fellow; the prep cook, I think. Since we had such a large crowd, he offered to set up a buffet style for our group. Very nice touch and great service! No paper plates or plastic ware here: dining ware and wooden plates are a step up. We ordered two large pizzas, cheesy bread, BBQ wings, and an Italian salad...just as the coupon allowed. The pizza is AWESOME! Quality cheese, and the crust is much better than any other pizza place in town that I've had: independent or chain. The BBQ wings have a nice smoky flavor to them and ours were thoroughly cooked. The Italian salad is fresh and light. From the salad, it is apparent that the pepperonis are a much higher grade than at the chain restaurants. The cheesy bread blows Pizza Hut's , Domino's, and Papa John's out of the water. At first bite, our entire group agreed: from here on out, it's Marcos! Talking to the manager, I found our residence is a bit out of the delivery range; however, if the order is substantial enough, ask for the manager when ordering a delivery and they will certainly accommodate. For your next pizza night, give Marco's a try. Their only real competition in town is Palace Pizza but Palace comes with the (owner) family attitude, kids running around the kitchen and sitting on prep tables, and outrageous prices. Marco's Pizza: great pizza, competitive pricing, and stellar crew. If they clean the tables more often, the four stars would be more solid but so it is anyway due to quality, price, and the friendly and accommodating staff. Thanks to Marco's for such a great family day out!
