Found Keke's about 10 years ago when they were under another name in Orlando. I've been traveling to Orlando at least once a month just to go to Keke's. I'm so glad they're finally open in Lakeland and has become a weekly visit for me. Yes the price is higher than at some other breakfast locations but the quality and service is much higher. Fresh food for a couple dollars more than IHOP.

Had the ham and cheese omelet and someone else had regular fresh toast. Food was excellent, service was great too. Our server Sam was very polite and friendly and got everything right. The only thing I can comment on is the menu is a slight bit too big. Reminded me of First Watch.

A very decent breakfast place. It's located at the end of a strip mall, which made it difficult to find since the address does not include the unit number. The interior of the building is nothing special; it has more of a Denny's feel than a breakfast-nook feel. My Hawaiian omelette was good, but the pineapple seemed to have come from a can. My wife had the Mediterranean omelette, which was better, but still nothing crazy. Overall the food was tasty enough for me to want come back. Service was wonderful. Really quick food prep. Our waitress quickly answered our questions and kept our coffee full. She even prepared to-go cups for us before we left. Good spot for breakfast, but temper your expectations if you are hoping for something spectacular.

I'd never heard of Keke's before and found that there are many of them around Florida. And with good reason! The restaurant has a nice upscale atmosphere and in the case of our visit, outstanding staff. Our breakfasts, one of their "bowls" and eggs Florintine were fresh and healthy tasting. When traveling, finding a good breakfast realy makes for a better day! We would not hesitate to stop at this or any other Keke's in the future.

I've eaten here four times now. This last time, I had an issue with my order, but the owners were nice enough to fix the problem. I haven't tried the breakfast yet, but the paninis are delicious. My Mom had a wrap and it was huge and she loved it as well. Definitely a must-try!

I love Keke's and have previously visited three other locations across the Central Florida area. Keke's serves some of my favorite breakfast foods and they have been consistent with their quality from location to location. This location is no different. I had the Italian Chicken Omelet and the dish was delicious with tender chicken, melty cheese, and tasty pesto sauce. Keke's also serves delicious pancakes, waffles, and French toast. Overall, Keke's is the best place for breakfast in Lakeland and a must visit.

So good we went two days in a row! First and foremost--do not let the *bad* reviews stop you from coming here. Not a trace of those negative comments could be found on both of my visits. On both visits, we were seated quickly (visiting both at breakfast and then around noon). The host was really friendly and polite to us. I was surprised at how full the restaurant was, yet how quickly people were being seated. And despite the fullness of the restaurant, it wasn't loud at all. My family was able to have conversation quite easily. First visit, I ordered the banana nut waffle. The waffle was the size of the plate! There were pecans baked in to the waffle and sprinkled on top, with a healthy coating of whipped cream and sliced bananas. Unless you regularly consume the same amount as horse, you don't need to order eggs or bacon to make it a full meal. You'll be full on the waffle alone. The apple cinnamon waffle was great too, but more like a dessert than a breakfast food. Second visit, I had the Western Omelet. Already starting with three eggs, the omelet had a very generous amount of ham, cheddar, peppers and onions, and was creamy on the inside. Perfection. It came with what seemed like an entire potato's worth of home fries and four toast points. Easily enough food for two people. And the best part? The lack of grease I found on my plate. Our server was fantastic. My sister has a severe nut allergy, and when asked about kitchen practices, he actually went back to check and brought back the manager! I'm always very, very happy when people go and find the correct answers rather than make something up. I never saw the bottom of my coffee cup--our server refilled it several times before I had even drank half. Like others have mentioned, this is really a breakfast or light lunch kind of place, only open until 2:30 every day. They don't serve alcohol--but this isn't your boozy brunch kind of place (get yourself over to Red Door if you want a bloody mary or mimosa). Keke's is for families. Save yourself a disgusting trip to Ihop or Denny's. Keke's is a blessing to Lakeland.

Keke's finally comes to Lakeland in the space formerly occupied by Chicano's. Very spacious front area. Waited about 10 minutes for lunch. I originally thought $8 for a ham and cheese omelet was high, but was pleasantly surprised by the size of the omelet and accompanying home fries (fried sliced potatoes) and 4 points of whole wheat toast. The omelet was cooked perfectly. Just done on the outside, warm and creamy in the middle. A little too much salt, but good overall. Our server did a very good job; she refilled our drinks without having to ask. This will be my go to full service breakfast place when I don't want to make a trip to Orlando for First Watch.

The food here is pretty good. Presentation is amazing. Coffee is good, hot tea selection is great. The decor is very nice. The service sucks! I've been here 4 times now and every single time the service simply sucks! No one smiles, ever. The hosts/hostesses are very disorganized. I wish they were pleasant here because I like the atmosphere of eating here, but really dislike that every single person looks miserable.

Keke's Breakfast Cafe has held a soft opening and I was lucky to be the only one in the place at 10:30 a.m.) It promises to be a fun new eating place, open daily 'til 2:30. It's large, clean, contemporary and all booths, located in the Steinmart/Marshalls strip mall with easy access. For my virgin meal, I chose stuffed French toast with caramel, bananas and cream cheese ($10). It was delicious and beautifully presented. A friend got the Florida pancakes, a signature dish ($10). The server praised the pina colada French toast (pineapples, coconut). They serve breakfast all day but start the lunch menu at 10:30. It had many standard sandwiches and salads. Plan on meals at $10 to $20 per person, especially if you include a meat, drink. They do have some standard fare about $7. I refrained from a higher rating due to my frustration at them sweeping around my table while I was eating (place new and empty--just unnecessary) and at least six interruptions to the meal with servers "how is it?" ....and slowness at picking up and returning the bill. That'll settle down as the restaurant establishes itself. The servers were smiling and enthusiastic and I can't wait to go back! My second visit was for lunch with only a slight wait. All 3 of us ordered and received pretty mundate BLTs. The toasted one was barely toasted on one bread and raw on the other and arrived cold. The tomato was very thin sliced and hard to taste. It wasn't well balanced in flavors--mostly lettuce. We ordered up and got onion rings instead of chips. Nice portion and well-cooked. It comes with "petal" sauce and our party was unanimous that the sauce was far too much horseradish to be pleasant. While my breakfast was 4 star, my lunch was only 3 star. Hopefully they'll continue to iron out the taste issues so that EVERY dish is to die for, not just the stuffed toast or Florida pancakes.

Great place for breakfast. There is a wait sometimes but it appears to be quick. The wait staff and management are great. The food is always fresh and promptly served. I enjoy dining here. The pancakes and waffles are my favorites. I'm looking forward to trying the omelettes. Overall an excellent place..

This place certainly does not live up to it's hype. All the pretty photos of the food in the world does not mean that any of it has any flavor. Quite honestly, the food looks beautiful; but like most pretty things, it's only the looks that do it any good and it has no substance. Our first and last visit: No alcohol. I'm no drinker but I like a bloody mary with brunch and to drown out loud restaurants. This is important because "we get asked about that alot." So... I said this first because there was no idea that this place didnt serve "brunch drinks" anywhere, not because booze has any priority where I eat. The restaurant is very loud. You can see in my other reviews that I'm not quite consistent with it. In Jimbo's review, I mentioned how quiet it is because there isnt anyone there (but I liked the quiet, but speaks for how well they must be doing), but there's nothing that I hate more is a loud restaurant. I hate it with every fiber of my being. I do not like eating and it being so loud I cannot hear myself chew or the person in front of me yelling at the top of their lungs. Not only was it loud inside, but we'd QUITE FORTUNATELY just missed a huge party of gift exchangers that took to the parking lot hooping, hollering, yelling, and blocking the traffic coming into the parking lot from Frontage rd and two lanes of the parking lot itself. I started to get the idea that this restaurant was ran like the one i worked in, and it had all the same issues that I disliked about how things were managed: "being trendy is 1st priority." Firstly, was prioritizing large parties. That party was too large for any place to be considerate of it's other guests, and the party itself was too inconsiderate of others. I'm all about having a good time, I'm down with people enjoying a meal with family and friends, but 20+ people screaming in a parking lot blocking lanes? I can only imagine how much of a nightmare they were inside. So, the guests they cater to? That's reason #1 why I wont be back. When we were sat at a table: It was so loud, that when I bit into a BONE; I wasnt totally sure it was a bone because I didnt hear the crunch but felt the painful rub against my teeth. Our waitress interrupted us during our order. This is one of my numerous pet peeves when eating out; because it seems like we were being rushed. I couldnt get out all of my ingredients I wanted on my cheesesteak without being interrupted about my sides. When looking at a menu and it has an order to it: Sandwich, what you want on the sandwich, side; you dont jump ahead until the last one is done. I probably could have eaten some fries but she was too busy to tell me if I wanted chips before I could tell her what vegetables I wanted on it. She did this to my girlfriend also, but it seemed worse with me. I was interrupted when I was ordering a refill for my drink (our drinks were swapped when they were returned,); because "Serve and done" was modus opperandi; until rather than checking on us we were given the check. "How did everything come out, i'll just leave the check with you until you're ready to pay". Incredibly unnerving that this happens more often than it should, the sincerity of asking how our order was; was lost on "pay me so i can have a new table here soon". As I said: the presentation is good. The "cheese steak panini" is a "trendy" thing. blah blah blah. It's grilled bread. The interior of the sandwich was not good. My girlfriend had an omelet which looked great, and a huge pile of home fries. But here's the thing: the food tasted like it was purchased at a food whole sale, taken to the kitchen and prepared as is. No effort made to make it taste like it was given a second thought. Example: The meat in the cheese steak tasted like "meat" not "steak". There was no seasoning to it. The cheese was white American(?) instead of cheddar like a cheese steak is supposed to have. I had mushrooms and light green peppers, and I couldnt tell the green peppers were on it, short of seeing them. I didnt taste the mushrooms at all. There was no preparation other than "cook". There was no "flavor" to anything. I also bit into a fairly large piece of a bone; which is kind of alarming considering the size of the rest of the pieces of meat: basically ground down to oblivion; you'd think it would have been caught before I almost broke a tooth on it. Reason #2 why we wont be back. Like that restaurant I worked in, the food's flavor tastes like it was a second thought to being "trendy" in appearance. I am certainly not fooled by "trendy" things; and I hope this gives you a very good idea of what you may get into if you choose to eat here. I know I will not be returning. I dont eat at a place because it makes me "look cool to eat there", I eat at a place because "I like the food" Fresco's downtown has what I'm looking for with a restaurant that serves brunch, and it out "trendy's" this place if that's your "thing".

So glad Keke's finally came to Lakeland! I love eating at the one in Orlando so this is much closer to home! Took my folks to brunch the other day, they loved it too. We had the waffles, they are so yummy! Portions are huge! Coffee is delicious! The food tastes as good as it looks in the pictures! They are a southern restaurant! But they have NO GRITS, you won't miss them. Everything is made to order and FRESH!

I'd driven by this place several times, but never went in. So, my boyfriend and I decided to come in, and boy were we amazed. The first words out of my mouth were "this place is so fancy" and the service was nothing less than fast and friendly. "The food was great" were the exact words spoken by my picky with food boyfriend, and I must say I agree with him. If you're looking for somewhere to eat breakfast in Lakeland, look no further.

We were greeted quickly, ate very well and appreciated the very clean facilities. The breakfast was prompt and delicious. My first time in but it won't be my last. Looking for a new place for a really tasty meal then make the drive, it's worth it! Ps. The prices are moderate at worst. FIVE Stars! Great job.

My wife and I have found our breakfast place! We have sampled all but the poached eggs offerings on the menu. She felt that the french toast was lacking, but waffles are excellent! If you love strawberries and bananas, you must have the Florida option for either the pancakes or the waffles! Oh, and the pancakes are quite large and tasty too. Coffee was consistently good. Fresh food with friendly, attentive service makes this a great place for breakfast.

They could have put more thought into the interior but it was acceptably pleasant. The menu had plenty of options and our server was friendly and attentive when needed. When our food came out we were both shocked about how beautiful the presentation was and yes, it tastes the way it looked. You could tell the ingredients were fresh and expertly cooked.

This is a new spot in Lakeland, since they've been open I've only seen long lines and folks waiting to be seated. Today was my turn to wait and see whAt was Ke Ke's all about. I had a great experience, service was great and fast. This is way above those chain breakfast joints.

Portions are incredibly large but seasoning was lacking. Pancakes are large and dense, not light and fluffy at all. Service was ok, but staff needs more training on menu items. The Greek Omelet was done well, but home fries were not cooked as requested. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a good value and great meal.

Yay! I've found my go-to brunch spot! Being from up north, going to the local diner for brunch was one of our fondest, much anticipated routines. Beware, though -- Keke's is PACKED on the weekends. There has yet to be a weekend when I haven't seen a long line waiting out the door. Good thing I have the luxury of strolling in on weekdays. My first time here, the host noticed my baby was missing a shoe. I figured I'd simply keep an eye out on our way back out. By the time we were seated at our table, the host has already retrieved my baby's missing shoe and said he found it out in the parking lot! That's what I call excellent customer service! And that's the reason I keep coming back. The food's better than your average diner-type fare as well. I've had the Pumpkin Pecan Pancakes, Chocolate Chip Waffle, Eggs Benedict, Cheesesteak Panini, Chicken Marsala Panini, Carolina Chicken Wrap, and Onion Rings with "Petal" sauce. So far so good. CRAZY portions! And for those reviews complaining about the lacking flavor of the food -- tell your server any specific requests and the kitchen is more than accommodating. There was only one time that my hubby was a bit disappointed. He had ordered a Southwest Turkey Tomato & Cheese Panini with an egg & they forgot the egg. They took the panini back into the kitchen and instead of making him another sandwich from scratch they simply threw the egg into his now cold panini. On the upside, our coffee cups are never halfway empty before getting a refill. Needless to say, the customer service is the reason Keke's gets another chance and I hope the kitchen works out the minor kinks in their food.

Amazing pancakes and French toast. The potatoes are really good too. The serve a great cup of coffee with your meal. Wait time can be long on the weekends though, so be prepared !!
