Diabetics at TGI Friday

If you're a diabetic, then you must be extra careful while dining at TGI Friday. Try the salad menu at TGI Friday to keep your sugar and sodium intake in check. Soups are great to keep you full and satisfied without munching on the unhealthy greased meat-based dishes on TGI Friday menu.

Foods to Avoid at TGI Friday for Diabetics:

Sugar and sodium intake are crucial if you have diabetes. While the salads are the best option for you at TGI Friday, it is recommended to avoid the Pecan-Crusted Chicken Salad containing over 1000 calories and 1,650mg sodium. Also, skip Warm Pretzels with Craft Beer-Cheese dipping sauce as it contains more than 3000mg sodium. It is wise to skip the dessert for diabetics, especially the Brownie Obsession topped with Vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and pecans.

We choose this place for dinner on Christmas day as it was one of the only places open and we were in Kissimmee on vacation. We waited for about an hour which could be expected due to the day. The food was hot and delicious except for my sister who asked for a medium well steak and it came out well done. However she's pretty flexible and didn't mind too much. The reason for my 3 stars is that my younger sister got food poisoning from what we assumed was the mac and cheese. We came to disney for her so when she was too sick to head out to the parks the next day she was pretty bummed. Roxanne was our server and she was fabulous. So all in all I would suggest this to someone if there wasn't many other options but make sure they stay away from the mac and cheese!

Don't waste your time or money! If I could give them -20 I would! Customer service was beyond horrible , they could care less , had me hold for 30min and forgot about me, then our food was burnt and cold after ordering kids meals! I went back and demanded a full refund. You've been warned.

We came for dinner one night because I couldn't talk everyone in going out for Asian food. The good thing about Fridays is that it has a large variety of food. One friend had a pasta dish, I had a chicken sandwich with whiskey BBQ sauce, that was to die for. Others had the chicken salad sandwich, all were served rather quickly. Oh I forgot to say we had the fried string beans for an appetizer. They were yummy and the sauce that they came with, I could have dipped anything into that sauce and been happy. Clean looking restaurant, great service, and delicious food at a very reasonable price. I don't think you can ask for anything more.

The customer service of the waitress, Jessica, was ideal. She was pleasant, responsive, and attentive. When my order arrived I noticed tomatoes garnishing and I informed Jessica that I was allergic and didn't know that this items had tomatoes. She apologized and picked up the plate to have the cooks/chef to re-do the meal without tomatoes. She asked if she could bring me something else in the interim since my husband's food was already delivered. In times like these, I've seen some of the worst responses in the past. Jessica was a super star and handle this little challenge with ease. She was such a joy to have as a server.

This is a sorry, sorry location service-wise. I could write a long review saying what happened and maybe I will come back and update this when I feel like typing, but suffice to say - bad service and I would not recommend going here.

So we get to the restaurant at around 10:30 PM, they tell us that is going to be about 15 minutes to get us a table (the restaurant was empty there was only 3 other tables full, anyways we said ok and really did not mind it since where were waiting for one person any ways, we got our table like at 10:45, we sat down and the server what we wanted to drink we gave her the order and we got our drink like 15 minutes later, when she came she ask if we were ready and we told her that we needed about 5 minute for the last person in our group to arrive, about 3 minutes later the last person in the group arrives and we are ready to order. We wait for about 20 minutes later she finally came and got our food order. At this point all of the drink at the table need a refill, but she was rushing so she did not even realize it (an to be honest neither did we until she left. About 5 minutes later another server see that our drinks are empty and he gets us all refill, 15 more minute go by and or cup are empty again and she is no where to be seen, the same guy come again and get us refill. About 15 minutes (about a 30 minutes after we order it) our food comes out. The flies are cold and the look like they had been sitting out for a while. (usually i would not complain i just eat my food and never come back, but since we waited for half an hour with an empty restaurant i though the least they could do was give us fresh fries, we complain and they brought out a side of fries that was half the serving that what the meal brings, i try to find the server to tell her but again she is nowhere to be found, at this point we ask to speak with the manager, he asked if we wanted a free dessert, (one for a table of 6, and i said actually will have one for each) they go us, the dessert about 30 minutes later (we were about to ask for the check when they finally came out. The dessert was good, we got the check and left $0 for tips, and left. Just to give you some perspective we got there at 10:30 and left at 12:45, 30 minute were our fault but the rest was because of their slow service.

We had a great lunch at this location and the staff was very friendly and professional. Make sure to sign up for their email list as I occasionally get a BOGO coupon from Friday's....which makes it that much better! My friend and I got the Jack Daniel's hamburger, which I would highly recommend. I didn't get the bacon on it, but it still has a lot of yummy flavor that will satisfy your eager taste buds. All other Jack Daniels items are also very tasty, too.

I'd give it zero stars if I could; it was a terrible restaurant experience, the worst I've had in years. I can't even narrow it down to one area; all areas were equally bad. First, we decided to eat at this TGIF because the parking lot was nearly empty of cars and it was 12:15 pm, prime time lunch hour for a Sunday afternoon. Our party of three walked into the restaurant and the first thing we noticed were people waiting to be seated with half the restaurant, to include the bar area, empty of customers: UNDERSTAFFED. When the hostess finally arrived to the front, she informed us it would be a 15-20 wait. I looked around in amazement at the half-empty restaurant and asked her why the wait. She answered the restaurant was suddenly rushed with customers and the wait staff couldn't handle the load. I told her TGIF had a YOU problem that was quickly turning into a ME problem. UNDERSTAFFED As I was in the waiting area, I noticed the hostess was also pulling double duty as a waitress as well as the bar manager, franchise owner and his wife. UNDERSTAFFED After the aforementioned 15-20 minute wait, we were finally taken to our table. As I walked there, I noticed a strange thing; NO ONE was eating, they were all waiting for their food. UNDERSTAFFED The waitress took our order consisting of two of their 2 for $10 specials. It took FOREVER to receive our appetizers and, of course, they were stone cold when they arrived. Much later, our entrees arrived, and you guessed it, they were also stone cold and cooked improperly. My cheeseburger was cooked to death, dry and didn't look anything like the picture in the menu. My wife's pasta dish was also cold and unappealing. The waitress asked us if we wanted it fixed, but we told her we didn't have another hour to spend there. I won't be back there and I encourage others not to go until they solve their staffing problem. I did find it ironic that when I was waiting in the beginning; an off duty wait staff person called the hostess and asked if they were on the schedule for today. She replied, "No, you're off today" in which I told her "You might want them to come in, it looks like you need all the help you can get".

Came to TGIF for an early dinner as hubby and I had a long trip and visit to Orlando VA. Boy was everything top notch, from the decor, super cleanliness, the host and the service. Usually, I end up getting disappointed after going to eat at food chains but what a nice surprise to have everything we ordered be so delicious! From the Spinach flat bread to mozzarella sticks, they had that pop in your mouth flavor that is rare to find... Not too strong or over powering and just right. Hubby ordered a lime tequila drink and seriously it was made to perfection. Haven't had a great drink since I lived in NY. Even on SoBe they water their drinks down.... Not here though... Hubby ordered petit steak and i ordered some chipotle bbq half rack ribs.... Makes me sound like a piggy but i.share... Lol. I'm a picky eater and this plate was heavenly.... The sauce was not too spicy n with just the right kick! We ordered that new special each $12.99 but since it was still early 3pm we got the lunch special special which came oug to $10. Bucks each... So you def can't go wrong with that! For sure we will.be back! I even told the host he would get five stars on Yelp. :-)

We ordered take out lunch for 6 people. Everyone who had the grilled chicken (with or without salad) got stomach cramps and/or diarrhea. Only one person did not have any chicken and did not get sick. Watch out, poor hygiene and food handling at that place!

So we are back from our amazing Golemme 2nd Annual Vacation & Family Reunion! We made some great memories and have lots of stories to tell. However, there is one story that we want EVERYONE to know! Friday evening we all went to Friday's located in front of Star Island Resort. Our food order was wrong, the service was really bad too. BUT we were on vacation so no big deal lets go have fun at the resort. Danny realizes he left his phone on the table- could not have been more then 10 minutes. We walked there, so on the walk back he realized he left his phone. NO PHONE at the table and no one found it at Friday's. The manager John sweared up an down, "none of my employees would take the phone and not turn it in". Danny and my BIL Billy located Dannys' phone with the find my IPhone app (( a must have, down load it NOW!)) the phone was turned off, this was around 8 pm. so it sends an email to my phone around 11pm, it is back on....YEP at FRIDAY'S! Both Danny and Billy drive there, called the police, got a police report. BUT because it was a private store, he could not search. GRRRRR! Again, we are on vacation so that continues. Saturday, no phone & no email from the iphone locator app. (We had sent another alert.) Now Sunday at breakfast...you guessed it...email, phone is ON and in Daytona!!!! REALLY!? We decided we are having so much fun, no way are we wasting our day driving to Daytona. We contniue watching the phone with the app all day and night....this morning still in Daytona...so we pack -and me, Danny and Danielle drive from Kissimmiee to Daytona we walked up and down the street where the locator said it was. After almost 2 hours we went into KFC and used the restroom. Danny never has to go :) but decided to go in and wash his hands and get cooled off....the phone was behind the toliet and behind the roll of paper! OMG!!!!!!! Moral of the story, dont let one LOSER ruin your vacation, down load the find your iphone app. AND GOOD GUYS DO WIN! Stay tuned, I called corp. TGIF's in Texas and waiting for someone to call me back! The Golemme's will be back next year for our reunion at Star Resort thats for sure....soooo much FUN! -- with Meghan Golemme and 4 others at TGI FRIDAYS, EAST KISSIMMEE

TGI is always the same no matter where you travel to but what often makes the difference is the servers. It can hit or miss depending on the server or bartenders mood. This time it was a hit, our bartender, Jessica, was wonderful. Quick to help with or correct our service request. She made our quick stop for lunch enjoyable, thanks.

The was the best Fridays we have ever been to. We sat by the bar to enjoy the games on tv. We had the best waitress/bartender. She let us try drinks she was making and if we didn't not like them she made new ones. The hostess was very nice. The manager checked on our table twice. So the staff got a two thumbs up in our book. The atmosphere is always great.

Ate there on a Monday night and chose to sit in the bar area due to the 20 minute wait for a table. Initial service was slow with the hostess having to come over and give us menus because the one bartender had her hands full. Still took about another 10 minutes for her to take our drink order. Just looked very busy (which is a good thing), but the bar area was understaffed (which is not a good thing). The appetizers were 1/2 price, and the food was good, although they were out of the crab, so any of the crab stuffed fish dishes could not be made. Overall it was OK.

I don't like chain restaurants. Really. I hardly ever go to them. In fact, I avoid them like the plague. My list of hated restaurants is made up almost entirely of chains. However when my husband and I visited Florida, we stopped at TGI Fridays because we had a coupon. Imagine my immense joy when I found Korean BBQ tacos on the menu! Let me just tell you a little bit about me. I love Korea. I love everything about Korea. Now, these tacos didn't taste like bulgogi or kalbi (Korean beef BBQ). However, they had a generic Asian taste that was actually fresh and delicious. I wouldn't run to a TGI Fridays and tell the world to try these Korean BBQ tacos. However in a pinch, I would recommend them. I hail TGI Fridays for offering even a pseudo Korean option. Fake Korean is better than no Korean! The service was awesome, and the beers were cheap. Thank you, TGI Fridays for adding Korean BBQ tacos to the menu!

This is my first review on Yelp and I thought it would be a good one to start. We live a very short distance from this Fridays so it is convenient and it used to be the best around but the last four or five times my husband and I have tried to go in for a relaxing bite to eat it has been a tense and not so good experience. We sit in the bar area and it is hit or miss on how loud the music is hence how much of a conversation you can have with the people you are with. The servers in the bar area are great and I don't think it is their fault so I am blaming the kitchen and management for this one. We have issues with how our food is cooked every time we go in and we can't seem to get our food to come out right no matter how much we warn the servers that we had issued on our last visit and the kitchen still can't get it right. My husband, son and I wen't last Thursday and ordered simple burgers and the new steak tacos and we still could not get them to our table cooked right. The cook only toasted one side of the bun on both my husband and my burger, we ordered medium mine was well done and greasy and my husbands was raw in the middle and full of grease and no seasoning and did not taste at all like a burger should taste. The fries were mushy and cold and so once again we were not able to sit down and enjoy a meal without having to send it back. Also pretty sad that the manager that came to our table was the same one that took care of us three months prior and remembered that we have constant issues but he was apologetic and took the burgers off the bill. We did not eat nor did we choose to get our food replaced because we figured it was not going to do us any good. Our son was with us and got the new steak tacos and it was like eating a taco full of salad greens, there was not much steak at all in them for the price and they were more spicy than the menu indicated. With all the menu/recipe changes we would like it to go back to the way it was and to be able to go in and get a decent dinner and be satisfied when we leave. I would not recommend this location as most of the management does not seem to care if the kitchen staff executes the food correctly and gets it to the table as ordered.
