A VERY very basic/traditional family owned (from N. Yorkshire) chippie that offers up fairly authentic British fare. CASH ONLY!!!! (seriously, no credit) The owners are very friendly and cook up everything fresh, but they're a bit like a British comedy in terms of their professionalism. To that point, the place is also known as Fish Chips & Beyond LLC in Yelp (seriously same restaurant) and the outdoor signage is equally confusing ... driving down the road their sign on the main road is so faded that it's impossible to see when driving, and the sign above the door says Fish and Chips, with no mention of Grandma (but is also faded). Best bet is look for the Publix and Subway signs, as their shop is wedged between those. If you get out of your car and look at the papers taped to the window you'll see it says grandma's, but not from your car. When you walk in your feet will stick to the floors and every item in there is tacky with fried oil -- sort of like every chippie in the UK. My only complaint is they REALLY need to put pay down the food before serving and then put down a layer of newsprint paper on the plates in order to sop up the oil from the food. SO, if you're a Brit missing a taste of home you'll love this place, if on the other hand you prefer a high class and shiny British place with lots of circuses and pub feel... this is not your place.

Just yes. I'm from Australia originally and eating here feels like eating at home again. I went a little overboard in ordering but I regret nothing. What I've tried so far: Fish and Chips-Delicious fish and proper chips. So amazing. Mince/Meat Pie- Probably one of the closest to a real meat pie I've had in ages! It was so good and the pasty was buttery and delicious. Pasty- Delicious filling and same yummy pastry as the pie. Bangers and Mash-Seriously felt like I was eating at home. The sausages were cooked well and the peas and mash it was served with are so good. I have the sneaking suspicion I'll be taking a few trips here again! The decor leaves a little to be desired, but it doesn't even matter once you start eating.

I managed to track this place down (as when I was using the Apple Maps/Yelp app it sent you south of Kissimmee airport - which is nowhere near their location). I had the Fish & Chip lunch special which was excellent value at $6, I saw them prepare & fry my fish fresh. The pieces of fish were very crunchy and the chips (not fries people) were thick cut and irregular (which they should be). They have salt and malt vinegar on the table and both were applied liberally to my food. The two owners were very friendly and I would go back here for sure if I was in Kissimmee again.

First of all, the place is called "fish and chips" from the outside, and it took a couple of circling before just figuring it out. We love breakfast food so we like to try different things, and as soon as we go in and sit down the the tables were sticky. We continue to look at the menu and even the menu was so sticky I went to wash my hands afterwards, once the waiter came (who was very polite) all we ordered were the homemade fries (because we wanted potatoes) with scrambled eggs with cheese and mushrooms. (My order.) Their cappuccino machine was broken so I ordered a latte, and when they brought that out the spoon inside of it had a sticky substance on the tip (so gross!) The latte tasted like the instant coffee I buy from a local grocery store and not even as good. Finally, when the food arrived I was excited because it looked good and I was starving, after the first bite of my scrambled eggs I wanted to spit it all out, the eggs didn't even taste like eggs it was literally just cheese and salt (I think they just put like one egg with 4-5pieces of cheese or something.) The only didn't they didn't go wrong with were the fries and mushrooms (I mean how badly can you go wrong with fries... And mushrooms...) Never coming to this place again. I'm not so sure they should be passing all the health inspections for the way they handle their food.

I've been living in the area surrounding Walt Disney World for about two months now and have been searching for good places to eat. Unfortunately the area is plagued with chains after chains after chains. Today I stumbled upon this fish & chips place down the street from my apartment and I realized I found what I was looking for. The place is called Grandma's Kitchen and the place you want to go for any British fare. This place is just a hole in the wall that isn't trying too hard, which I love. It just embraces what it is. The owners seem to be very nice and have treated me with great service both times I have been in to eat. Let's get to the food! The fish & chips were great. I had the 8oz piece of Haddock with chips on the side. It was brilliant. Nice big piece of Haddock fried up to perfection, with nice thick cut chips on the side. What original brought me here was my search for sausage rolls, which you can also order with a side of chips. They make them real nice with ticker pork sausages wrapped flaky goodness. Easily my favorite restaurant in the area thus far, and will definitely be returning. The bottom line, great food, great atmosphere, about as authentic as you'll get. Definitely worth a visit.

I wanted to experience the Best Fish and Chips in Kiss. Fl. I googled just that and this shops name came up "Grandma's Kitchen Fish and Chips". I went to England 25 years ago and then Wales. I had fish and chips everyday!!!! Each time in a different shop. Loved it all except a fish called plaice. Well long story short was looking for that quality of Fish and Chips here. That's what I found at "Grandma's Kitchen". It is a small place, it is not fancy, it has British Comedy on the T.V. in the dining room, their menu is everything I expected in a British Shop, much of which I'm looking forward to trying during my next trip or trips back to "Grandma's Kitchen"!! Two thumbs up, the taste, the portion, the presentation, although very, very simple was what I wanted and found. I will return and if you haven't been, you gotta' go!!

2nd best fish and chips in N. America and best in USA. we were in Kissimmee two years ago and wondered into this delightful little restaurant. Went back even having to drive across town. Quaint and clean, very homey The owners have a heavy British accent that adds charm. Had the assorted dinner baskets, fish cooked to order and chips were perfect. They have a delightful menu and some British specials. I took home a steak and kidney pie. Hint you're in a British restaurant order the tea as hot beverage. Told that can be very busy at times. Want good fish and chips Grandma has it. Wish I could give 6 starrs

This place is mediocre at best. The one saving grace was the service. The food was bland, and relied heavily on ketchup or gravy to provide flavor.

"Yum" to some authentic British fare. Well. . . as authentic as it can be in sunny FL. The owners of Vineyard Bistro (formerly known as Fish Chips & Beyond), will greet you when you walk in the door with that lilting British accent putting you immediately at ease. Vineyard is a reasonably decent facsimile of the type of food you may have had in England, and it's good enough to keep the memory going. I was hesitant at first. The cafe itself is spartan. No fuss, no frills, just a few tables and unadorned walls. Definitely not a dress up for dinner kind of locale. The menu has basic items, but with a British twist. From a full english breakfast with bacon, sausage and black pudding, to the equally classic fish and chips, you're not likely to find any heart-healthy fare here, but that's pretty much the point, I think, for this type of food. The fish and chips are classic style. No small fish sticks or fish parts, but a huge, full size piece of fish, breaded and fried perfectly. The chips are wedge type instead of the common square or crinkle cut. At least you won't feel like you're eating barely recognizable fish bits from any of the big box fastfood chains. Add a sprinkling of the malt vinegar and you can pretty much overlook the fact they don't serve it wrapped in butcher paper or a newspaper for that authentic touch. The breakfast is more than one person can eat, but if that's the only meal you'll have for the day, you'll have plenty of time to counteract the calories. And if you don't happen to be in the British frame of mind, you can still get some classic American fare. The bonus of this place for me? It's not a chain restaurant.

Great English home cooking. Formerly known as Fish and Chips. Rob, the owner is awesome and very friendly. He suggested the Haddock an Chips. Fantastic. Ended the evening with a Jam and Cream scone. Hand cut fries! You can taste the difference. Come and check it them out. Sunday brunch from 12:00pm to 4:30pm. Ask for Rob and he will lead you the right direction.

I searched for highly rated restaurants on Yelp and discovered this quaint, authentic British restaurant. What it lacks in size and ambiance, it more than makes up for in the quality of the food...especially the fish and chips. The wait staff are friendly with an accent.

Great Fish & Chips!! We try not to eat at "chain" restaurants when we travel. Was looking up nearby restaurants. Saw "British" and was hooked. As I said the fish and Chips were great BUT ... The absolute BEST were the scones ...... Fresh, hot from the oven; filled with cream, strawberries & blackberries. There just aren't words to describe them. We also got to show them how we had found them through "Yelp". They has never heard of it.
