Bruno’s Italian Restaurant Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Truly authentic. Do yourself a favor and skip Olive Garden, go experience what real Italian food tastes like. We went to Bruno's as a party of eight, some of our party were children between the ages of 8 and12. There was more than enough to choose from on the regular menu, but there were specials in addition. We had the bruschetta appetizer and the prosciutto appetizer, both delicious. Around the table we ordered various pasta dishes, a calzone for two, and a chicken cacciatore. All were wonderful and either finished or carefully boxed up so that we could enjoy them again later. I have read some of the negative reviews here about the owner being rude. I believe that this is truly due to people not understanding his sense of humor or pride in his food. If you ask him what is good, he is not being obnoxious when he says everything, he is being honest.

We came based upon reviews of this place. I for one wasn't turned off by the people saying Bruno gave them attitude. That to me, was just evidence it was an authentic Italian restaurant. The garlic knots were out of this world. Chicken Parm was quite good. Not my favorite ever but very good. Lasagna was excellent. Once we got to chatting with the wait staff they were very pleasant. Bruno talked with us... the man is Italian. What can you say. He's not warm and fuzzy. His food is excellent. We will be back

I guess if your not used to real ny pizza this is ok but not for us. We should of just ordered dominoes. Pizza was so so at best, bad sauce and tough dough. Oh also $20 minimum delivery, I guess they got on the tourist "charge em up" boat with everyone else. We also had the bruschetta which was subpar as well, the only good thing was the bruschetta bread which I assume was not made by them. All in all, when in doubt just order dominoes.

Being going to Bruno's for almost 17 years , love everything on the menu at Bruno's. My son loves the Pizza , my wife loves the Chicken Parm , and I go back and forth on the Pizza and the Shrimp Alfredo. The garlic knots are fantastic to start. We enjoy everything about Bruno's and can't wait to go back in November. We were in Kissimmee in May for a week and went to Bruno's 3 times and got take out 1 night. We are going back to Florida in November for 5 days and will go to Bruno's 3 nights.

I was a little skeptical coming to this restaurant since the exterior seems a bit too casual for a sit down dinner but was pleasantly surprised by the quaint Italian mom and pop Italian feel. The restaurant seems to be very popular and consistently busy. They were able to accommodate my party of 8 immediately and were very attentive to our requests. They food was so good!! I am so glad I came here instead of a franchise restaurant. The vodka sauce pasta was hands down the best I've ever had. I also had the bruschetta and chicken bruschetta pizza which were equally delicious! The garlic knots they bring out are addicting. I can't say enough good things. If you love Italian food then this is a MUST. I'll def be back!!!

I had friends from NY visiting in the area I told them that I would pick up 3 pizzas for dinner. I looked up really quickly on yelp and found this "ny pizza" spot instead of like a Pizza Hut or chain place. I ordered large pies - cheese pepperoni and sausage. I go to pick them up and the bill was $48.00!!! Are you kidding me?! I thought oh man even if they're good that's still 15 bucks per pie. I found it pricey. I wait a few minutes and this guy is walking toward me with the 3 boxes. I expected them to have some weight to them and I brought my daughter to help, but when he gave them to me they were light as a feather. From this point I knew they were not going to be good pizzas. Plus the boxes weren't even warm|hot to the touch. I mean real NY pies have weight on them they use fresh dough and real cheese nice toppings. My daughter let me peek inside one box and my jaw was open. When we got to my friends time share and they dug in to those boxes I was mortified. It was like cardboard with barely any cheese or sauce and cold. I mean it was like an export soda cracker dry and bland. I mean even my friends couldn't eat the pies. I cannot believe this place even advertises New York pizza! You're doing the state and the best pizza in the world a terrible injustice please please stop! You may be fooling the tourists but shame on you! I wish I would've taken pics so sorry but trust me when I say never again.

Skip the Olive Garden and have some excellent non-chain, authentic Italian. My wife, sister-in-law and I all loved our visit to Bruno's. I had a sampler combo that included manicotti, lasagna, and shells. The manicotti was excellent and some of the best I've ever had. My wife had the chicken pesto and it too was great. The other dish we had was shrimp Alfredo and it was my personal favorite of all 3 dishes. It is a neat little restaurant with no glitz and glamour. The prices are fine for the amount and great for the quality. Definitely recommend!!

Don't let the appearance of the building stop you from eating here. Bruno's had the most authentic Italian food that I have ever experienced. I sampled everything at my table, and every dish was wonderful! Plus, there was no wait to be seated! (Unlike Olive Garden). The only criticism I had was our waiter. He wasn't very welcoming, but he could have been having a bad day. The food made up for it. Save room for Spumoni!

We have vacationed in Davenport for 10 years and driven past Bruno's every day. My mom suggested we stop and Oh. My. God. It is the best kept secret. Prices are reasonable, especially in comparison to the theme park area. Portions are HUGE and everything is cooked to perfection. The signs hype up the New York Italian experience and this lives up to the hype for sure.

Went to eat at 9:30 and they were more concerned with closing then serving guest so didn't get to eat

Never judge a book by its cover. I have lived just 2 blocks down the road from Bruno's for the past 2 1/2 years and I never ever thought to try this place. I'm kicking myself know that this gem was just two steps away. I truly took a leap of faith and tried this place for my birthday dinner with friends and family, and we all agreed it was wonderful. It was a refreshing breaking from all the chain restaurants that surround us on 192. The bread is to die for. Those garlic knots are the best - I love a lot of garlic and these bites packed quite the punch. The food, in my opinion is pretty cheap. For around 10-15 dollars you get bread, a salad and your entrée. I went with the red sauce gnocchi. It was "ok" nothing wow just good. My friend got chicken pesto and it was amazing. My father got crab stuffed eggplant parmesan - it was truly like a little taste of Italy. I would definitely recommend trying this place. Though the restaurant staff isn't the friendliest, I'm pretty sure it is ran by the mafia it really makes the experience.

Fantastic REAL Italian cuisine. Reminded me of my Brooklyn Grandma's (God rest her soul) home cooked meals. This is NOT your typical chain restaurant Italian food, it's way better. I had the special which was an eggplant rollatini stuffed with a crab, ricotta, and spinach filling over a bed of pasta with shrimp on top. Delicious! My wife had the penne Verde with sautéed shrimp added. It was sautéed broccoli and broccoli rab with garlic and onion over a bed of penne...man was this tasty. For dessert, the Limon cello and mariscopone filling layer cake and freshly filled cannolis. If you want a nice, clean, comfortable restaurant far superior than any chain like the rest of the options on 192, stop in and visit Bruno and his excellent staff. Trust me, the food and service won't disappoint you.

Excellent Italian food. I had spaghetti and meatballs and sauce was the best I have ever had. Excellent taste. Meatballs very good as well. My husband had spaghetti and sausage. Sausage was very good. Generous portions at a good price. Will definately come back if I am in the area

  • Bill R.

My wife and daughter loved their Chicken Zingara but my Chicken Parmesan breading was soggy and the chicken was not moist. The red sauce however was very tasty. Garlic knots very good too. Service was good and our food came out quickly. The gratuity on our check was added automatically and it was higher than the listed 15%. Watch your bill carefully.

So we went to try this place out for the first time and when we opened the door we were told there was a large party there and if we wanted to eat her we had to sit outside! It's 99 degrees out, NO thank you we will take our business elsewhere!!

Found this little hideaway via the Entertainment Book. Located next to one of the many gift shops along 192, this homey little place is easy to drive by. The Lasagna was ok as was the spaghetti bolognese. The clientele is largely seniors and as such the food is perfect for their palate. The house wine goes along nicely. The garlic bread was excellent. The bruschetta, which is listed as a must try on the menu, well I would pass next time. The tiramisu was quite nice, although the amount of cocoa could be reduced please. As to the pricing, fabulous. Very, very reasonable for the meal. As Bruno said you can't please everyone, but we left quite happy overall.

The New-York style pizza here is one of the closest I've found to being true, authentic NYC pizza, and this is coming from someone born and raised in Brooklyn! We almost passed it by because of how desolate it appeared, there was no one inside and we waited around 7-10 minutes to be served (around 1pm on a Friday). Other than that, this place is great and I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for some good pizza!

    (4)
  • Clara I.

Ordered for delivery. Pro: came in 45 min as they told us. con: it came cold As far as quality, just bad. Not terrible but bad. Tastes like a pizza you'd find in a bowling alley or arcade. And the "bruschetta"? Yeah that is nothing like any bruschetta I have ever seen. It didn't taste bad but it surely was not bruschetta.

  • Cheryl C.

This is the second time I've had this pizza in seven years and now I remember why I didn't go back. Its $15 bucks a pizza and it's pretty mediocre. We had a sausage pizza and the sausage was bland, no flavor. The pepperoni was better, the dough was really good but the sauce was thin, not much flavor and the cheese was kind of sour. The dough was truly Italian pizza, the rest was 'eh'.

The Owner is a jerk! I have never encountered such a rude staff in My Life!!!They are so abusive... At first I thought they were joking.....the server was rude and the owner verbally abusive. I can't tell you about the food because we had to leave. I am not paying to eat in a place that treats family this way. The owner scared my children and embarrassed my husband. Take my advice and avoid this place!!!!

    (1)
  • Gene D.

This was the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. The staff is arrogant and NASTY!!!!!! The server came over and asked what we wanted to drink. I told him we had already decided on dinner and would also be ordering a single pizza. He said that he would not take our food order....when I asked him why...he said...in the nastiest voice you can imagine.....ITS NOT MY JOB!!! The owner then comes over, and believe it or not, defends his rude employee and tells us that he pays the rent and if we don't like the way they do things we can leave....Seriously???? The owner of this establishment needs to learn that his customers pay the rent. I will never again go near this place. We decided not to take the abuse and walked out. DON'T BOTHER!!!! THIS PLACE IS A JOKE!!!!!

Shady actions going on by their employees tonight. Just called to order delivery and was told they are no longer accepting the coupons that they posted all over the nearby resorts. Then the guy on the phone said they only accept cash. When I told them we didn't have cash he said he had to get approval from a manager to use a credit card. Are you serious??? The guy taking phone orders sounded too sketch to give them my card #. So I cancelled the order and then the guy keeps calling me back. No thank you going else where.

Yelp actually came through for me on this place. This area is plagued by horrible chain restaurants. Finally a local family owned place with real Italian food and cheap prices. They have been in business for over 20 years and that is no accident. However it is very easy to just drive by and pay no attention. Its situated right next to a cheesy gift shop. And from the outside it appears to be a dumpy pizza place, but inside it is nicely decorated and has quality food. Everything is served with a big basket of warm garlic knots and a side salad. I ordered the chicken parm and my gf got the combination platter which had shells, manicotti, and lasagna. The sauce is tasty and the portions are decent. And best of all, both entrees were only $13 each. I can't stress how important it is to support local businesses. So skip the chains and try this place. You won't regret it.

Found this place very much by accident. After a very long day at universal studios we decided we wanted pizza. Our normal pizza place when in town was 30 minutes from where we were staying and they closed at 10 and being 930 we never would have made it. At that time of night I was a little concerned there were no people inside eating but we decided to give it a shot. We were very happy we did. We had the cheese pizza and antipasto salad both were absolutely delicious. Pizza was perfectly crisp and magnificent. If you don't like New York style thin crust pizza this isn't your pizza place. If you do give it a try. After leaving the restaurant I did feel compelled to read what other folks said and I was shocked by the comments about the owner and his staff. I found Bruno to be a true delight. I can see how some people may be put off by his personality but coming from an Italian family were everyone is loud I loved him. Can't wait to dine at Bruno's during my next visit.

Found this place several years back by accident and I'm glad I did ! Pizza is awesome! I read some comments where people said they were rude... They are not rude they are just from New York. Some people just don't know how to take Yankees. But who cares the pizza is great.... Makes me miss New York!

First went here 2 years ago based on a yelp review, and was so impressed. Enjoyed garlic knots, gnocchi and cannoli that trip. All were delicious! Revisited while on vacation again this year, but ordered pizza and greek salad for takeout. Delicious, fast, well priced. I thought the staff was great both times, but I'm Italian-american, so I'm used to it :)

We come to Orlando twice each year. Each time we come, Bruno's is on our must have dinner there list. We have never been disappointed with the food or service. Don't let the building fool you, this is one of the BEST restaurants I have ever visited. The food is authentic Italian at an extremely fair price. Eat here, you will not be disappointed! We love the big guy!

My teenage boys can usually polish off two pizzas no problem! This pizza was so bad that they never even got through the first one! My husband and I shared an entree and it was barely edible. The spaghetti looked and tasted like it had been the in the frig for days! The prosciutto was old and tasted foul! The meal came with a small piece of chicken that was barely enough for one person. At $16 we thought we would get a heartier portion. The side salad was nothing more than wilted lettuce and old shredded carrots - no tomato, cucumber or anything else. The Italian dressing looked and tasted like cheap oil! The whole meal was a complete disappointment. I definitely won't be stopping back any time soon!

Awesome pizza! If you like thin, not heavily cheesed or sauced, plus a fantastic dough and crust. Buy a pie. What are you waiting for? Order now!

Great authentic Italian! A real find in the midst of all the chains. A must every time we visit. The food is excellent and reasonably priced.

Best pizza and wings I've had so far in the Orlando area. Granted, I've only been here since March, but the food is the closest to an up north Philly/NY pizza I've found.

  • Michelle H.

Pleasantly surprised to find a family owned restaurant with authentic Italian cuisine in the middle of the tourist capital. We almost didn't try it because it looked like a dumpy hole in the wall of a strip mall. But it was charming and the veal was wonderful.

  • Jon H.

Average pizza. Thin, not a ton of cheese or sauce. The cashier wasn't the friendliest, but I can usually get past that if the food is good. Typical flavorless pizza that will do the trick if you're starving, but for quality pizza, look elsewhere.

    (3)
  • Karen B.

Wonderful authentic Italian food. Bruschetta is a must try. Everything is made in house and f fresh. Tira misu was also delicious. Ask Bruno how he came to America....,charming.

Stayed at a hotel within walking distance, and craved pizza. Fortunately I did not want a large(seemed like the only size they had) so I grabbed the chicken parm instead. Was a DELIGHT! Tasted so fresh and made from scratch. Sauce and pasta were great with it too. The pile of garlic bread/knots with it were tasty as can be. Salad was fresh and dressing seemed to be homemade to. Wish they would have given me more. Plenty too, my "not hungry wife" ate 1/3 of it after just wanting a bite. The owner, I assume, was a cool dude. Little hard to understand, but that just means more authentic to me. He caught on that I was at a hotel and gave me plasticware. He offered me a drink while I waited, after I paid, which I guessed meant free from his niceness, but I passed. Would give it 5 stars, but was take-out and only had a chance to grab it on my last night here. Will try it again for sure! if I stay nearby.

  • Scott R.

Fellow Yelpers, I have passed this place for years. Never stopping in. ( my own fault ). I guess the place just never grabbed my attention, unlike most restaurants in free sanding buildings or shopping centers. Bruno's sits on the small corner of a HWY 192 cheesy gift shop. Never judge a book by its cover. I am having problems finding something similar close to NYC pizza in the area. Which is impossible. But I was impressed with the pizza. We also ordered a Greek salad which I thought $10.00 was high. Live in the area? Or on vacation ? Order your pizza from here and I think you will be satisfied. As for the rest of the dishes I can't really say to much about. 3.5 stars over all. Service was ok. Didn't feel like they were so excited to have us. But they also weren't rude to us. I would go back when I want to take a pizza to go!!

  • John C.

Very pleased with our decision to eat here. The stromboli was excellent, and the clam linguine was buttery and tasty. The stromboli and pizza definitely stood out, though, among the dishes we ordered. We ordered some dessert, too. The cheesecake is made with ricotta, so expect a drier, more crumbly cheesecake than you are used to. The cannoli was pretty traditional. I thought it was okay, but I'm not a big desert eater. I'm not getting the comments about this restaurant being pricey. $13 for my clam linguine. Less for many pasta dishes, more for some entrees. We took home plenty of food. This seems like a family operation. A welcome change from the chain restaurants.

  • J S.

The food was OK. It's just that the delivery - promised within 45 minutes to an hour - arrived at the 90 minute mark, lukewarm. I assume that tourists are probably their primary customers, they can get away with mediocre service because they aren't expecting repeat customers.

    (2)
  • Michael N.

We order the two large New York style cheese pizza with garlic bread. We added an extra order on bread , salad , and pepperoni to the second large pizza. We arrived an hour before closing. When I questioned the total when I picked it up the the older gentleman very snippily reminded me of the pepperoni, bread, and salad. It was late and we had been at the parks all day. I wasn't questioning the validity of the amount but was we had actually ordered. Well when we got home the order was wrong and when I called them the same older gentlemen was not concerned ; in fact he was rude and I hung up on him. On top of it 2 of the 6 people that ate the salad, bread and pizza got sick and was vomiting at 3:00 am, and 2 more of the 6 had severe stomach issues. Don't know what it was but we have been here over 5 days with no illnesses until we ate here. We didn't like the attitudes, customer service, and obviously the sudden illness after eating pizza. We will not be eating here again .

Don't be so thin-skinned, folks. Bruno is a curmudgeonly character. That added to the ambiance for my family. And the pizza was excellent - beautiful thin-crust. Just what we were hungry for!

Full to the brim from their pizza. Authentic and great NY thin crust. Fifth star because I only wish I tried this place earlier in the week.

Ordered for delivery, the gentleman that answered the phone which I believe was the owner was extremely rude, NO customer service skills, but still decided to allow it hoping the food would be good. Placed an order of meatballs, 2 Italian subs and a pepperoni pizza. I am pretty sure the meatballs were from Costco, the subs were served on old bread, 1 slice of ham, 1 slice of cheese, 1 slice of salami. The PiZza was tolerable as an earlier reviewer mentioned. They do not accept credit cards only cash, and yet the delivery driver did not bring change. I read a review of some one suggesting you go to Publix and buy stouffer Pizza and that would be better, I conquer, stay away from this place they deserve to be shut down.

    (1)
  • Ariel F.

Really grouchy service. Not a single smile from any waitstaff. All of the waiters moved like molasses, with no sense of urgency to place our orders. We spilled a cup of water and practically had to clean it ourselves. No napkins replaced after the spill. The food was fresh but there was way too much oil and garlic in pretty much everything. My kid got the children's ravioli which had exactly three ravioli. Skip this place unless you are desperate.

My wife and I were in the mood for Pizza but we didn't want to have to drive far. We were staying at a time share just east of Hwy 27 off Hwy 192. We searched Yelp, read the reviews, and decided to give Bruno's a try. I am glad we did. We ordered a large Pepperoni and Mushroom pizza and a couple of drinks. The pizza was delivered in record time and it was just the way we like it...NY style...crisp bottom, not too much oil, sauce that is not too sweet, and a touch of oregano. I added a sprinkle of hot red pepper flakes and the pie magically disappeared. If you are in the area, you should give this place a try instead of one of the chains. The owner has been cranking out his take on Italian food for some 20 years.

So happy to find such authentic Italian. They deliver to the Champions World Resort. Family owned and you can taste the love.

You need to visit this place. It looks like a dive from the outside but you can't always judge a book by its cover. It's really nice inside and it's clean. We went in got seated immediately. We ordered the garlic knots. Mmm they are delicious. We also ordered a large pizza. It came out in good time and was just as delicious as the app. We will definitely be back next year.

This place is awesome. Solid service and delicious food that came to our table piping hot. If you want Italian and pizza, keep driving passed Olive Garden, Domino's, Pizza Hut, Carrabba's, and Cici's and go to Bruno's. Get the bruschetta but don't be surprised when it's a little different than any you've ever had. Get your carbo-loading done here the night before a long day at Disney.

**MUST TRY** hole in the wall authentic Italian restaurant. Do not be deterred by the cheesy tourist trap gift shop next door (not affiliated). Take the previous comments/complaints about owner and wait staff with a grain of salt. They lack a certain finesse but it is easy to forgive and forget with the fabulous food. The appetizers and entrees are full flavored, delicious and not "light" fare. The garlic knots are swimming in garlic and butter as they should be. The bruschetta is on a flatbread and is delicious. The entrees are just the right size...not too big and not to small. You will be very happy you gave this place a chance.

Best meal on our Vacation! Looks like a whole in the wall when you drive by, but it is phenomenal!! We had some of everything....pizza, eggplant parmesan, bruschetta, caprese salad and garlic knots! We will definitely be back when we visit Orlando again! True Italian food and service!

If you are looking for a place that you want the feeling of you being a nuisance by simply be there you come to the right place. The owner is ego manic and can't seem to focus on one task at a time. He should be more concerned over the good quality then yelling at guest complaining about the food and the service. Go to Publix down the road and get a stouffers frozen dinner. You will thank me.

Having been born and raised in nj you become a food snob when it comes to two things, pizza and bagels. I simply can't stand franchise pizza and long for the pizza back home. I found my slice of home here! Although the location isn't great and the outside doesn't look very appealing, the inside is shockingly nice. My fiancé and I were promptly greeted and sat down (granted it was dead). The waiter was really nice and very attentive too. We ordered the prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, and olive appetizer (with a nice pesto on top). Great portion size for two maybe three depending on how hungry you are. They gave us garlic knots to go with the appetizer which were fresh and yummy! Not too oily or garlicky. For dinner we ordered the supreme pizza. It was great! Crust is almost the same as back home (nice and crunchy). The tomato sauce is good and mozzarella is standard for a pizzeria. I was really blown away by this place and will definitely be coming back since its 15 minutes away from my house! Will make another review when I taste their dishes! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars because nothing beats jersey Italian food!

We were looking for good pizza after a day in the rain at Disney Hollywood. Found Bruno's through Yelp. Our whole crew loved the pizza. Their supreme is excellent. Went back a day later for a late night carryout. Their Italian food was equally good. Met the owner, very friendly. Highly recommend to tourists looking for non - chain real food.

The food was excellent and the staff was friendly. We had no problems getting seated. The place was a bit hard to find but that may help keep the tourists from coming in mass. The Mussels and Stromboli were very tasty.

We got takeout while on vacation. We ordered 4 pizza's and three entree's. It was all ready within 20 minutes and smelled and tasted great. We were very pleased with the service and the food.

Blandy bland bland. The only thing with flavor was the garlic bread and even that was ho-hum. I'd read all the great reviews and was looking forward to trying this place too. Ragu has more flavor than my pasta sauce had. If you like food with flavor, skip it.

We went to Kissimmee to the Normal Park tourist thing,,,you know!! Anyway, I was traveling with My 16 yr old daughter, 27yr old son, and his 26yr old girlfriend, we ordered "Bruno's Pizza" because we traveled all day and I was too tired to go out and search...OMG!!!!!! I recommend this place so much!!! We are in love with Bruno's Pizza, we got a 2 pizza special One with pepperoni and the other with cheese both large and NY style, great sauce and awesome cheese...Crust to die for!!! and we also got chicken wings (FREE) with the order for only $24.95 plus taxes...and with tip...$33 !!..it was so good, we didn't want to stop eating it!!! only regret was when it was OVER !!!! ADDITIONAL NOTES: it was so good we ordered there the second night also!! but this time instead of Wings we took 4 FREE Cannoli's..(AWESOME!!!!)...come on guys can't beat the price and the food is awesome!!! Check them out, wish they had a branch in Nashville...I would eat ONLY at Bruno's if I lived in Orlando area!!!

Wonderful family style resturant! Good pizza, the garlic knots that are customary were the best I've ever had ( and Im a new yorker) and the pasta dishes were quite good. Mom loved the chicken parm, and we ordered the angel hair pasta with vodka sauce. If your looking for a good family value with delicious pasta its worth the trip!

Well we are here in Orlando and we all voted for Italian tonight we did not want "Pizza Hut" and being from NJ we were not into the Italian chain places so YELP to the rescue we found Bruno's and was it ever great. They started us of with friendly service (which is always a great start) next they brought over some homemade garlic knots which were light and soft with light butter and garlic (very easy to eat but don't spoil your appetite cause the best is yet to come) my daughter ordered spaghetti and meatballs (obvious home made meatballs) my wife had penne with vodka sauce delicious contrast of cream, marinara with sun dried tomatoes am excellent choice since the portion was so large there was plenty to share. My son and I had a pizza which was so refreshing to actually have a really good pizza in Florida. All in all this place was great highly recommended.

I made the mistake of getting food delivered from brunos. 3 orders of chicken parm, fettucini alfredo, caesar chicken salad, childrens pasta and 5 cans of soda. The childrens pasta and 5 cans of soda were missing. The chicken in all dishes had a rubbery texture....and was tough to cut. One chicken parm had almost zero pasta which I gave to my daughter to make up for the missing meal. Sauce....nothing special. Maybe it's better if you eat there.....at least if the order is wrong they can correct it.....

Best pizza I've had in a long time! Thin, NY style pizza with great flavor!! Loved it!! This has now turned into my "go to" pizza place. :)

I took my husband there tonight to celebrate his birthday and we had a coupon for a free entree. The owner took our order and brought out salads which unfortunately had a vinaigrette dressing. The dressing was not listed on the menu and we didn't care for it so we didn't eat any which apparently upset the owner. Someone else brought our entrees and never once did the owner come back to our table to ask how our meal was or if we wanted anything else. After our meal I asked him if they did anything special for someone celebrating their birthday and he said "You got $13 off your meal, what more do you want?" I then said I was just asking and once again he mentioned our coupon and said that was enough. He was obviously not happy with us and we were very polite to him despite his attitude. If he didn't want people using his coupons then he shouldn't make them available to the public. I asked for a box for leftovers and he never came back so finally I asked another waiter for help. We also saw the owner hand a waiter our bill to give to us because he couldn't be bothered. The food was good and the other two waiters seemed very nice but the owner has a lot to learn about customer service or just doesn't care. We did not leave our normal 20% tip but he probably doesn't care about that either.

I love this place. I go there often and leave satisfied. I appreciate how the owner is hands on. Highly recommended!

It's unfortunate because the food was pretty good- not great but not bad. The Italian owner was absolutely RUDE. He was more busy watching what his employees were doing rather then tending to us and reprimanded them in an embarrassingly manner in front of all of us. We were so excited to have our first Italian dinner on our trip but he ruined it.

Took a break from restaurant eating to bring in a pizza to our condo. We were not disappointed. The NY style pizza was big, tasty and reasonably priced. Greek salad good, with lots of feta. Could have used a bit more cheese but definitely better than the chain pizza places. Would eat there again. In fact...we did! Dined in on old fashioned Italian comfort food. Spaghetti, gnocchi, sausage all in a traditional tomato sauce. Small but nice wine list. And very reasonable. Highly recommend as a nice break from all of the chain restaurants.

Went to Orlando to escape the Tn. cold. We do our best to avoid chains if at all possible. If you have ever been to Orlando you know every chain restaurant on earth is there. We saw Bruno's sign from the busy, under construction, hwy. 192. What a great surprise, the food was amazing, Chris our server and now our friend treated us royally. I say friend because not only did we have lunch, we went back for dinner with friends. For the money it is the best value in Kissimee. You are wondering now what we ate. Veal parmigiana, spaghetti and meatballs, Vodka penne, and Linguini bolognese. If you are from the Orlando, Kissimmee Florida area do yourself a favor and eat at this restaurant. If you are going to Orlando to vacation put this great little Italian eatery on yout list. I must warn you that if you encounter the owner, Bruno: he may be posing as James Bond.

A gem! Awesome Italian-American food and perfect NY-style pizza not that far from Disney. We had a supreme pizza and an antipasti salad after a long day at the parks and both were spectacular - really hit the spot. The pizza had a perfect thin crust - crispy on the bottom, soft on top without being doughy in the least. Really my ideal NY pizza, just to emphasize that again. Cannoli for dessert were also some of the best I've ever had. They were more than accommodating as we arrived about a half hour before closing - didn't rush us out at all. Don't let the crappy souvenir store next door fool you: this is really good food, real cheap. Bruno is really friendly, too, and his entire staff is a cast of characters. Go and I think you'll see what I mean.

this place is a local secret. I have eaten here many times while working on a project nearby. Pizza , eggplant parm, chicken piccata , cesar salad, fra diablo all decent . The owner is from Italy and is regularly on site and told me he has been here for 20 years. I've been to Italy and lived in NY so I was very pleasantly surprised by what I found. Yeah it costs a little more than the Dennys up the street- but you can eat that anywhere (if you really want to)

I just had a really unpleasant experience trying to place a delivery order from Bruno's. I was hung up on after being told our rental was too far away (we would've gone to pick it up). I called back and the man who answered the phone was rude ("what do you want") and then proceeded to yell at others in the kitchen while trying to take my order. He started to berate me after I called him "dude" while I was complaining to him about the service on the phone. Sorry, no amount of authentic italian food is worth having to deal with this kind of nonsense.

We saw the reviews on this restaurant and were worried about that negative comment someone wrote, I guess they caught him at a bad time, because with us the owner was wonderful. The food was awesome the service was great. Deffinetly we will be back when ever in Orlando

Wow...where do I even start? Let's go from the worst to the not so bad. The Buffalo wings......are you serious? how dare you send me these trash uncooked buffalo wings? You call your self a RESTAURANT? Seriously, for a PIZZA "Restaurant" your wings are garbage, They might even be frozen. and $9.50 for these wings is the biggest rip off I've ever experienced. I'm going to attach a picture to show the viewers what I'm talking about. Anyway...the pizza was only sub-par, but you cant really mess that up too much can you? I would only recommend this place to my enemies....that is all.

Bruno's Restaurant was outstanding. We visited last night after a long day in Disney World. It's a little hole-in-the-wall gem. Situated next to a touristy gift shop, Bruno's can be easily overlooked, but just as the sign in the window states: don't judge a book by its cover. The food was fantastic. I ordered a simple cheese pizza, which I shared with 2 kids and my mother-in-law. It was a really nice, thin-sliced pie. If you like New-York style pizza (which I do), you'll love it. The pizza was tasty - just the right amount of crunch, zesty sauce and not greasy in the slightest. My husband and father-in-law split a large calzone. I had a bite, and it was delicious. I believe that the sauce can make or break a meal. Well, Bruno's makes a fantastic sauce; they used good quality sausage in their meat sauce, which came across as flavorful. Finally, my other son ate penne, which he gobbled up. Dining with 3 kids, we typically leave restaurants with multiple doggie bags, but not last night. NOTHING was leftover. It should also be mentioned that the interior was tastefully decorated and comfortable; the bathrooms were very clean; and they were family-friendly (equipped with high chairs and MILK). The service was also good (accurate orders and quick delivery) - I'm fairly certain that the owner tended to our table personally, but he didn't mention it. Nice touch. :) In short, it was a wonderful experience. If we vacation near Orlando again, we would return in a heartbeat.

Went to Brunos on the recommendation of my brother. Those are the best recommendations! He said the we must try the bruschetta, and I agree. The garlic bread seems like it's right out of Mama's kitchen. We had Chicken Sorrento and two combo platters and everything was tasty. I had enough to take a portion home. If you're in Orlando and tired of the franchises this is a place for you!

First night in Orlando, and YELP came through for us again. Bruno's may not look like much from the road, but do yourself a favor and stop anyway. The portobello ravioli was fantastic, and the mussels appetizer was more than a meal for my wife. (She asked for a spoon to finish off the red sauce!) Reasonable prices, great food, cheap wine and beer, and just the right amount of personal attention from the wait staff and owner, makes this place a winner. We will be going back before this trip is over.

Mafia boss is a jerk .... Went to Bruno's last night. Food is very good ... non commercial .. a find for Orlando. However, the manager/owner (???) is a total JERK. Rude to us in taking order. Mean to his servers. And argued with a table of young students when they wanted separate checks ... across our table .. and loud enough for the whole restaurant to hear. If he isn't the owner, someone should fire him this morning. Spoild the whole atmosphere of what could be a great dinner place.

It's nice to get off Disney property for an evening - a little peaceful family experience. The food is delicious, home cooked- the atmosphere is calmer, and the price is more than reasonable. Meals start with a nice salad and delicious warm garlic knots. I will be visiting again when I'm next in the area.

My wife and I went to Bruno's after reading some good review on 2/21/14 for dinner. The services was awful, we really never had a server. The owner who was also the host sat us down took our order and we had another man bring us food drinks and bread. We never received any refill on our drinks and after food was brought out no one ever came back. I has to walk up to owner to get the bill. For dinner I had lasagna and my wife had penne with vodka sauce. The portions were very small on all the food we had and the table next to us. The sauce taste like the sauce uses in spaghetti O's and canned ravioli. The noodles for both our dinners were undercooked. I am not sure how this place has good reviews because when we talked to the table next to us they also complained about food and service. Do not go to this place.

We went here because we heard good things. We'll lets just say we will not be going back. The service was horrible. The waiter was very unfriendly . It is a good thing he had his busboys running around doing his work for him. We should have tipped them instead of the waiter. Then he started yelling at the other employees in front of customers. I sat and waited to get my check for over 15 minutes and lets just say the food was nothing to write home about.

  • Sara R.

To be honest, I don't really understand the 5 star reviews that this place keeps accruing. My best guess is that the boss is intimidating his employees into making fake accounts. This place was terrible. The food was bland and extremely forgettable. There was not a single dish we ordered that I didn't regret choosing or give up on eating. The owner was not only rude, but he was intimidating and made complaining about the food a less than attractive option. On top of everything, the food we ordered was overpriced. Paying that much for tasteless Italian was really just the cherry on top of an otherwise extremely terrible sundae. Do yourself and your taste buds a favor and choose anywhere else for dinner.

Great food that's affordable! Ignore the trashy gift shop next door. Everything I've had was awesome including the spicy marinara and meatballs. We love when Bruno is there and waits on us. We're locals and still venture to trashy touristville for this great Italian food!!!

WWe returned to Bruno's and were not disappointed! I love the bruschetta! They add a secret touch of love....ricotta! It is such a tasty dish! The antipasto is dressed with a light vinaigrette, even the one for two serves three easily! Pizzas have the best sauce and crust around . But the real reason we go back is the TIRAMISU!!!!!! It also has a secret touch that Bruno applied to bring this dish to be one of my all time favorites.

Well, after a long 22 hour drive to our condo, we were starved so I checked Yelp to look for a pizza place... I'm from Jersey so I know pizza...so after reading the reviews from out of towners, I wanted to try Bruno's...well we got delivery and it took over an hour (they're up the road). I opened the pizza, it hardly had any cheese, it was cold and not delicious as everyone had posted. The minimum for delivery is $20 so on top of ordering the pizza we had to get garlic knots and bruschetta. The garlic knots were a little tasty but a little grated cheese sprinkled on top with maybe some garlic powder mixed in is not a proper garlic knot. The bruschetta was a piece of toasted bread with a smear of cream cheese some chunks if tomato with a sprinkle if basil. I think I should go give the folks over at Bruno's a few cooking lessons! Not happy at all. 2 stars just for them being close and the delivery guy was friendly.

I visited this place in 2009 and still remember how bad this place was-Salad from the fridge, made few days ago, waiter never asked for dressing choice. or pasta choice, veal dry as a shoe, microwaved bread purchased at the near Publix...I can go on forever ....

We couldn't have been happier to be recommended to such a good restaurant, we relaxed and ate in a comfortable setting. Good for families and seniors. The food is excellent. prices are reasonable. Portions are neither too big or small. The owner is from southern Italy. He is friendly, amusing & helpful. Home made cheesecake was not heavy, creamy smooth & delicious. Garlic knots were hot, tasty yummy. Salads & knots came with our meals. I would recommend the bruschetta to start with. When we go back to Kissimme we will go back and recommend this restaurant to all.

Have been to Bruno's before. It is a small restaurant owned by Bruno. Food had been better than average. My husband and some other friends had friends visiting from out of town. They aren't very fond of chain restaurants and we thought Bruno's would be a nice place to eat. WRONG! Bruno sat 4 of us, as our friends from the area were about 10 minutes late because of traffic and we could tell that Bruno was not happy. When we finally ordered, he asked if one check was okay. We said that we would like separate checks and that's when the real problem started. I have never been treated so rudely in any restaurant before and especially by the owner. He stalked away and never came back to our table. The one waiter working the whole restaurant and the busboy took over our table. They were very busy, but tried to make the rest of our dinner bearable. As for the food, it was just okay. After this experience, I will never frequent Bruno's again or recommend it to anyone else.

Ok, first of all, I am not an employee of this restaurant. I ate there last night with my husband, kids and in-laws and thought the food was terrific. We were looking for somewhere that was not a corporate food place and we found it. Yes, Bruno is a bit surly, but that adds to the restaurant's charm. He waited on us last night. Our dinner was great. We enjoyed the bruschetta, garlic knots, chicken parm, eggplant parm, baked ziti, the baked pasta combo platter and a calzone for two. Everything came out hot and delicious. We were happy to have a meal at a family-owned place. But, if you don't want to venture out of corporate, safe restaurants then by all means....stick with Carrabas!

As some other reviewers have noted, the personnel dynamics of this place are a bit strange, but this was the best meal I had during a week in Kissimmee. Service was good, and food was quite good. This place is next to a tacky tourist stand and isn't much to look at from the outside. Inside it is nice enough, with a small bar and maybe 25 tables. We were waited on alternately by a young waiter and Bruno himself. The waiter seemed utterly terrified of Bruno, and Bruno himself didn't seem entirely sure that he was happy to have patrons in his restaurant. Still, while the service wasn't super-warm and friendly, it was prompt and attentive. The food was for the most part quite good. The bread selection was very good. We had bruschetta as an appetizer, and it was the best I ever had. My meal (I had the penne carbonara) was excellent. My son's (spaghetti + meatballs) was good too. My wife's wasn't. She had the chicken parmesan, and while it looked good, the chicken had a weird texture...a bit rubbery and too smoothly textured (although it didn't appear to be underdone). Still, not bad. The desserts weren't too interesting, so we headed out for ice cream elsewhere. The Disney World area is an area almost totally joyous from a food perspective with plenty of rip-offs and disappointments, and this place is the real-deal of Italian restaurants and based on my experience I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it.

A little hole-in-the-wall place buried among all the tourist traps on Hwy 192 on the road to Disneyworld. EXCELLENT food! I had the lasagna--so delicious! Everything super fresh and obviously hand made. Wonderful sauce, made with wine, lots of sausage. Service was fine, very courteous and quick. Great garlic knots, too.

My neighborhood Italian Restaurant. My biggest problem is that every time I try something new, it makes it harder to choose next time I go eat there. The food is that good. Authentic Italian, both food wise and attitude wise. But Bruno is great that way. I love their Pizzas, Calzones and they make a wonderful Prosciutto and Mozzarella. Always a daily specialty on the blackboard when you walk in. Go, enjoy the food just do not piss Bruno off or he will tell you straight.

We are locals and we go to Bruno's at least twice a week. Bruno is really fun and funny and we really appreciate his dry sense of humor. Bruno's food is some of the best Italian we've ever had. Best Italian in Orlando / Kissimmee area! Whenever we are visiting Disney or Universal, we just HAVE to eat at Bruno's. All pasta and pizza on the menu is spectacular. Fresh ingredients. We've been going there for four years and have tried everything. Family-owned, Bruno is always there. He appears to be a little rough around the edges, but really has a great heart and knows his Italian food. Try this place!

The one star I gave was me being generous. When I first arrived i thought, "oh this is a nice place".. until we were served. Our waiter had an attitude. The food wasn't all that great besides the Garlic rolls (but how can you mess that up?) and when I went to pay and my card was declined, I asked him to try again and he replied, "ugh you want me to go through all that again?". Definitely will NOT return to this restaurant.

Hmmmm. So i had kind of a strange experience here too. I actually think that our waiter got fired during our dinner service. Personally I didn't notice it, but several folks at our table did. We were a party of 7 and grateful to get a table after hitting 3 other restaurants with 60 minute waits. So service was okay, but nothing stellar. Did we get our food? yes. Was it good? I thought it was pretty dang decent. The garlic rolls are YUMMY with a capital Y. Pizza seemed pretty yummy too. Stromboli got a thumbs up as did linguine and clams. I saw a ton of delivery going out....especially the pizzas and let me tell you there are quite a few places in the immediate area that deliver pizzas so somebody must like this place.

  • Daniella B.

Eating at Bruno's was not only a abhorrent experience, but it was bad to the point that I am writing a review (something I don't do often). When the food first arrived (an hour and a half later) the smell and the appearance alone was a deterrent, but I thought why not give it a try? The pizza was horrific and should never be called "New York Style," as that is just an insult to where I hail from. The crust wasn't browned at all, I could still taste uncooked dough. There was barely any cheese on the pizza and the sauce was likely hailed from a can or jar. To say the least I'm not sure what the monopoly they have on my resort is; but I'm sure the excessive advertising is the only reason they get ANY business. I would NEVER return here, and I suggest anyone who wants to save themselves a trip to the bathroom to do the same.

I am staying in the Windsor Villas in the Orlando, FL area and it is impossible to run away from this restaurant. All the employees recommend it highly, it is on every one of the villas many advertisements, and there is a special hand-picked list of delivery restaurants that are not allowed in the neighborhood. Well, they might as well make this one of them because this is one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. I ordered the buffalo wings and was extremely disappointed to find that I could have easily gone to Wal Mart's frozen food section to find chicken wings of greater or equal quality to the ones I ordered from Bruno's. Did not try any other items from the restaurant so I can't complain about those...yet.

great italian food. the garlic knots are a great start. A nice italian wine and then some nice pasta or veal. thin crust pizza is good also. Relaxed atmosphere, very much like you would find in Italy itself. Bruno is friendly and very funny. Have a chat with him. I loved the baked pasta plate (ok more American Italian) and the veal marsala was very tasty. We ordered pizza in a couple of times and they arrived hot. We all like the NY style pizza and we had a few NYC people here.

We saw the reviews on this restaurant and were worried about that negative comment someone wrote, I guess they caught him at a bad time, because with us the owner was wonderful. The food was awesome the service was great. Deffinetly we will be back when ever in Orlando

Blandy bland bland. The only thing with flavor was the garlic bread and even that was ho-hum. I'd read all the great reviews and was looking forward to trying this place too. Ragu has more flavor than my pasta sauce had. If you like food with flavor, skip it.

We are locals and we go to Bruno's at least twice a week. Bruno is really fun and funny and we really appreciate his dry sense of humor. Bruno's food is some of the best Italian we've ever had. They will customize the preparation to suit your taste as well. Don't like capers? No problem! They will make your dinner the way you like it. I highly recommend Bruno's!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
