High Blood Pressure at Applebee's

Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. You can rely on a few salad options though. If lucky, you may find low-sodium ribs as well at the restaurant.

Avoid Green Goddess Wedge at Applebee's. Broccoli Cheese Soup and French Onion Soup contain over 1000mg sodium and hence must be skipped as well. High Cholesterol at Applebee's

Well, steaks and ribs go hand in hand with cholesterol. Being their signature dish, it will be a challenge to find low-calorie, healthy food for those concerned with their cholesterol levels. However, you can always opt for their salads and other light foods to keep the cholesterol in check.

Foods to Avoid at Applebee's for High Cholesterol

If you have high cholesterol, then you must avoid eating sandwiches, wraps, and tacos at Applebee's. While the salads and soups sound healthy, you must skip the Fiesta Chopped Salad and Loaded Potato Soup at Applebee's. Worst Applebee's I ever been to! Serviced sucked. I stop by to grab beer and some food and watch a nba playoff game. The bar was only giving half off to the folks sitting at bar on the appetizers. The little area by the bar wasn't even playing the game on tv!

Weird to see so many complaints about the service and food. This Applebee's is very close to my house, so I'm a repeat customer. I've never had any problem with food, service, drink or annoying music. Maybe they fixed their problems. Maybe it's because I don't go weekend nights. I like the new healthy additions to their menu and they have the most attractive looking fish'n'chips I've seen in a while (nicely golden and well-portioned). The ice cream apple dessert they have is pretty good too. Right now, I prefer to go to Applebee's over Chili's (their menu has become so uninspired) and maybe even Friday's (I went to Friday's way too many times last year), so I expect more visits to this location. Applebee's likes to say they are the neighborhood restaurant and this one probably has 90% of its clients coming from just a few blocks away. If you are a tourist, stopping here for a bite, you're seriously lost...haha. You can always go to the one on John Young Parkway, by Hunter's Creek. It's a nicer area to visit than BVL's Kissimmee. Sorry, but it's true. Regardless, if you are near this one, feel free to pay a visit!

Applebee's is a great place...just not this location. Service ia crappy and they never cook the food properly. You either get a cold plate or an overcooked plate. Been there multiple times just to give it "another chance" but once again...cold food. No bueno. I wouldn't recommend this location.

Went here on a Wednesday Night (ladies night) - It was loud and kinda annoying how the DJ kept turning the music louder and louder.... with that said... Finally I go to an Applebee's where they have a great bartender. I wish I could remember her name, because I would damn sure give her props. But I am a fan of Applebee's every where... the star's I give is normally based on the experience I have there. I love the drinks (Rum Runner 2 for 1 is my FAV) And the food almost never disappoints. I'm sure I will be back, I will just make sure that it is not on a Wednesday.

Although they have a great 2-4-1 at the bar, their service is generally rough. In any business establishment you expect good service, especially ones where they work for their income. The food order is typically wrong and takes a while. I feel the only saving grace is that their food is good and the drinks are strong.

First time ever at Applebee's went on a Friday night. Live DJ, music was too loud, ordered chicken quesadillas and it was basically just the Flour tortilla with cheese. Super slow, had to ask to have my drink refilled. Not a good time. Won't be back.

Went to this apple bees on Tuesday with my partner and brother on my post deployment leave and have to say it worst the worst establishment I've ever been too. As soon as we walked in we were received with an attitude by the waitress, and later realized it wasn't only her with thee attitude. The workers were off together talking, joking, and laughing but when it came down to the customer they had this attitude like if we were bothering them. The silver wear was old, dirty, and stained and it wasn't only one it's was all the silver wear. The food was disgusting, I'm a us marine and am use to eating things that are not tasteful but this please was so gross I did not get to finish eating my meal. I got one cup of coke and took the drink down quickly and was never given a refill the rest of the time I was there. When I requested for the check the lady took her time to bring it to me, what I mean by that is that she served two other tables before she brought me my check. Then when I finally got the check she took off right away and got on the phone where it looked like she was having a personal conversation because she was laughing and stayed there even after I got up to leave. Going back a little to when she gave me the check, I opened it to sign but realized that there was no pen. I waited 15 minutes for her to get off the phone to ask for a pen because no one else passed through that section the whole time. Finally I was so disappointed by the whole establishment that I decided to get up and go to the front door to the greeting lady to ask for a pen when she gave me a marker, when I asked it it was okay to sign with a marker she didn't even bother to look in my direction and just said "uh huh" to where u signed and left the check book in the table and walked off pissed. This place gave us an unwelcome feeling and I will never go back there again "even if there was a fire" (step brothers). With that being said I would like to thank the Applebee's establishment for welcoming a service member who just got back from a deployment two weeks ago feel welcomed back home with their awesome epic service.

Long time since I have been in an Applebees, went with a party of 8. They have a deal 2 meals and appetizer for $20. I got the baby backs for an extra $2. Other entrees, chicken fingers, sirloin steak, chicken and shrimp. Everyone liked their food except the sirloin wasnt the best. I expected the baby backs to be bad. So often I am disappointed when I get them at places. These however were very good, I got mine with the honey sauce. The onion rings were alright, the boneless chicken wings were alright, had pressed dark meat in them. They do have a deal at times for .39 cent wings. The broccoli was under cooked, the mashed potatoes were good. Although they show fries in their meals, you can get mashed potatoes, or broccoli without and up charge. This place has limited side orders for some reason, even with an up charge. The waitress was slow and not very attentive, she also got an order wrong, she attempted to fix it but I believe it was never done. Would go back to the one on University closer to home, as long as they have the two for $20 deal. That $20 deal gives you a lot of food.

Great late night specials. They have a DJ on Friday and Saturday night. It would be better if the DJ played more of a variety of music verses the mainly Spanish music. He does play more of a variety the first half-hour of him starting but by the middle of the night it is all Spanish. I've never had a problem with my order. Always a good fun night on Friday or Saturday. I'm not sure if I would come here without the late night specials as they do not have that great of food.

  • Jay N.

It would have gotten 1 star, but they have 2 for 1 drinks all day long and their prices aren't bad. Food is average and service is terrible. Turns into a deafening Spanish Disco every Friday and Saturday night. If you are going to go, late afternoon is the best time.

We got seated right away, waited over 5 minutes, no one came to take drink orders or even acknowledge us. We got up and left, only to find the greeter braiding another waitress's hair!!! No one even asked why we were leaving! Awful!

Ive been here twice now , the waitresses are great, the food comes out fast but the drinks come out slow! They run lot of fireball, ciroc and mojitos ! Said the truck hadn't come in! A good bar manager doesn't let that happen! It seems every single Applebee's in any city has become sub standard!!i won't be going to an Applebee's again!

I love going to Applebee's I'm a regular actually... I like to come probably 3 or 2 times a month everyone there knows me their really friendly... I love DJ night they're always the coolest. The burgers are perfect especially with fries and a soda. I've literally been served by all the servers and to tell u they seem all Hispanic and they are so nice and giving. I carry my friends all the time, my suggestions would be the 4 cheese Mac and cheese or the bacon burger :)

We ordered online for curbside to go. When we arrived at the restaurant we waited 15 minutes and no one came out to deliver our order. My husband went in and no one was aware of our order. The takeout person said its the bartender the bartender said it was the takeout person. One of them finally went to check in the kitchen where our order was waiting. I'm sorry I prepaid and added the tip online! Won't be back!

Was there on sat 9/5 celebrating a friend's birthday. Wow What A mess. We were seated immediately and had to wait for a server, finally put in drink menu and it took 30 minutes to get our drinks. We ordered appetizer s and got the wrong ones. The birthday boy got his steak with no utensils to use. It was not a good night.

There is nothing good to say about this place. The service is awful. The food takes a very long time to come out and the servers are not attentive. There is a lot of "ratchetness" and ghetto. This place is very close to my house and I would like to be there, but it's impossible. This place needs an overhaul.

Been here about 3 times now. Each time it gets worse and worse. Awful service. Awful microwaved food. Dirty atmosphere. Overpriced for such low quality food and service. As a culinary graduate, chef, food lover and someone who has worked in many restaurants in all positions from Host, Waitress, Line Cook, Chef and Kitchen Lead.. To see this place continue to run the way it is ran frustrates me. The food is terrible. Nothing is "cooked". All nuked in a microwave or thawed out from a freezer. The front of house staff is a complete joke. I'm not usually one to go for looks but seriously these hosts and waitresses looked like they rolled out of bed and put some skin tight black shirt and yoga pants and head into work where they obviously don't want to be. Very rude greetings if you even get one. Waitresses are sloppy and do not care. The floors and tables were dirty and full of food and wrappers. Very unwelcoming. Never coming back to this place that's for sure!

Very disapointed in this place. I usually love Applebee's too. Saturday nights have a "dj" who plays annoyingly loud Spanish music. His set needs variety. Not that I don't like Spanish music, but it was to the point where you can't hold a conversation at table without shouting. That was just minor compared to the service, which was Horrible. Initial order taking was fine. Food came out very quick. Even before the drinks. Margaritas came out wrong. Server never came back to check up on us for 30+ min. By then I was in dire need for a water for my meal. So I decided to go to the bar to try to get some water. Wasn't even acknowledge there. Got fed up after 10 min. Came back to the table and a friend had to literally chase down a server to get some more drinks and my water. Every other thing we wanted to order we just had walk around and find a server to help us. I've been in the restaurant industry for many years, so I know what to expect, and I am a club DJ so I can handle the loud noise level. The combination of horrid service mixed with music too loud for me to conversate with friends will have me not to ever return here. Even though the two for one drinks and half off apps after 9pm is nice, I will drive the extra miles to go to Fridays or Ale house next time.

We were starving and went there for a late night meal. We got seated quickly even when the restaurant was busy. Our server promptly came to take a drink order. We enjoyed the sampler appetizer with quesadillas, boneless wings and pretzels with cheese dip. They were all delicious. It then took our waitress quite a while to come back and take a food order. We split the macaroni and cheese with chicken strips. The meal was okay. The chicken didn't look very appetizing but tasted okay. The restaurant has a dj on Friday night and gets very loud and busy around 10pm. It looked like a club atmosphere when we were leaving.

This applebee's service was not what I expect. The server was very unpleasant. He forgot the lemon for my water even though I asked twice for it. When the server brought out our main course he literally moved our appetizer plates even though I was not done eating with the dinner plate. Both of our pasta's did not have breadsticks. I asked for the chicken of my pasta to be put on the side and boxed - I am a vegetarian but my dogs aren't. That never came. He was very rude. I left him a $5 tip out of pity.
