Love this place.. I love the pad thai noodles and the sushi is top notch!! The service was great and everyone was so nice and helpful. Its nice to walk into a restaurant and not have to wait and hour to be seated, plus the food is fresh and really good.

I Love this place Jen and the rest of her staff make you feel like family fresh sushi and the best fried rice anywhere

I've been coming here for a very long time. The best thing is the surprise roll. The chefs really go out of their way to create a unique roll every time. I feel like some of the best rolls I've had have been surprise rolls. My second favorite thing to eat here is the special fried rice, it's a great portion which makes it great to share and tastes great.

AMAZING FOOD. this is by far the only place I consider coming for sushi, but the staff could use some more training not that they were rude nor unfriendly it just seemed armature & not professional

My wife and I have been going here for years. We love, LOVE, love this place. Did i mention we love this place. Friendly staff, we are greeted like family when we arrive. Try the Florida roll, & the Spicy crunchy tuna roll. Oh and their special fried rice is a great choice. Thai Donuts...condensed milk and fried dough..yup ill take an order of those too. Give them a try, they never disappoint.

Came here for the Happy Hour, where you can get some sushi for dirt cheap. Fuji Hana is located in the same place. The place looks real small from the outside but it's surprisingly big inside. The interior is kind of nice, but parts of it reminds me of a cheap Chinese takeout place. The staff was welcoming and extremely nice people. The food wasn't so great. The sushi was decent enough, but it isn't the highest quality stuff and tasted more like store-bought sushi. With the happy hour concept, I was able to try many of the items without breaking the bank. I ordered the Dynamite Roll and the BBQ Tuna roll. There isn't much selection on their happy hour sushi menu, so those were my best options. I also ordered a shrimp tempura, chicken tempura, shrimp yakitori, beef yakitori, fried wontons, eel nigiri, and scallop nigiri (Wow, writing all that made me feel like a fatass...but it was super cheap) The BBQ Tuna roll was alright, nothing special. The dynamite roll was very fishy tasting and I didn't enjoy it as much as the description led me to believe I would. The shrimp and chicken tempura were very bland and had no flavor. Even the tempura sauce is pretty useless. The fried wontons were decent, but also pretty tiny. The yakitori (skewers) were good, but were drenched in the sauce it arrived in. The scallop nigiri was weird, I had never eaten scallop served cold before. The eel nigiri was my favorite thing. Large piece of eel with just the right amount of eel sauce. I hate to give them only 2 stars because it was SO cheap and the people were friendly....but they have to step their game up. The sushi wasn't quality stuff. It might be different for other times, but I don't think I'd come back if it's not happy hour. Like the Yelp rating system says....meh. I've experience better.

This is one of those places I don't recommend to friends, unless its for the pretty cool happy hour. I've been a handful of times just for happy hour and while it's nothing out of this world amazing, it's pretty good and best of all, cheap. They have $1 sushi with little scraps of paper and pencils. You check off which items you want, they go up in price to about $3 and it adds up quick. But the portions are about 4 rolls in a roll and tastes about the same quality as a sushi buffet sushi - not OMG good, but basic sushi good. The decor is okay - the staff are okay.

Well, my first experience here wasn't as good as i had hoped. I'm looking for the best JB Tempura in Florida and this one did not even come close. I ordered take-out and it was pretty fresh when i got home, but the quality was poor. The Tempura batter was undercooked and the roll itself tasted bland. It was too plain for my taste. It was overly stuffed with cream cheese. On the up side, they put a good amount of salmon in the roll, the rice was cooked to perfection, and the eel sauce definitely complimented it well. I wouldn't judge this place out of one experience nor one roll for that matter, but this time around did not convince me in the least.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! I've tried many sushi restaurants yet I always find my self saying this place is the best. I come here so much that the owner knows me by name. I love that they let me get creative with my rolls. Happy hour is awesome! This place is definitely a hidden gem.

This place is a family favorite. They have great sashimi and sushi as well as wonderful cooked food. They atmosphere is really nice, the menu is great; the only thing is that it can be pricey, but it is really good for the price.

  • Rachel P.

I love this place! The miso soup is the best I've ever had! The beef tataki is great too! I love the sushi here and I like the atmosphere as well. The only thing that bugs me is everytime I order from here the price explodes!!!

Decent sushi (filling is good, but the rice falls apart). Taste matters though. Basil rolls (similar to spring rolls but with basil & shrimp) was just garbage. It was full of cheap lettuce, skimpy thin shrimp, and... wait, I just realized I never tasted the basil. It was just like eating cabbage but without any dressing. And apparently "pad" doesn't mean pad thai noodles. I had a beef Pad something which comes with basil, and I was served beef with basil, with a side of rice. No noodles. And I didn't see pad thai anywhere in the menu so this had me puzzled... I had to ASK for noodles? At least they were willing to fix the dish and put in noodles - but the noodles they put in where typical of Chinese stir-fry noodles. So my dish was greasy, not anywhere close to a pad thai, but tasty. And from what I've had, I would dare say that I liked the thai part of the menu better than the sushi. But really, the service was really bad. A table of three were largely ignored throughout the night, and once served, they didn't bother to ask if we wanted anything else. What could have been an hour dining experience turned out to be wrapped up in four hours. And the restaurant was largely empty. Maybe I came on a bad day, but in this area, I would much rather go to Ruson or somewhere else. They have plenty of competition.

So, many years ago I came here for happy hour with my friend. During happy hour, the sushi ranges from about $1 to $3, and you can check off what you'd like from a long list. Cool concept, but the quality isn't fantastic. Fast forward to the present where I thought I'd give it another shot, this time for dinner rather than happy hour. I ordered a french roll which was far better than I remembered their sushi being (but was dry without the eel sauce I got), and a vegetable pad thai. The pad thai came full of bean sprouts, broccoli, mushrooms, carrots and zucchini, but overall wasn't very memorable. They have a pretty extensive list of options, but based on my experiences there, the food itself just isn't anything special. I won't be rushing back to try it again anytime soon.

Being that this restaurant is literally 1 minute away from where I reside, I find that this is the only good/decent sushi place around here. My wife and I always order take out from here online, as they provide full pictures of their meals and take 10% off from your online order. I have to agree with Ruchi S. that the food is always consistent, which is a BIG PLUS on my book since you will always know what you are going to get. The staff is very friendly and they will do anything in their power to make your order as custom as you want it to be. For example, my wife and I love the Alex #2 roll from Akashi in South Miami. One day, we decided to see if they could custom order our sushi to resemble the Alex #2. SUCCESS!!! It tasted just like it, with the crunchy on top and all. Although this is not my number 1 sushi place in Miami, their prices, location, and consistent food makes it a great everyday sushi place.

I have had mixed feelings about Fuji Hana. I have been here and the food, customer service, and drinks were good. And then there are times that it is the polar opposite. My recommendation is to go towards the evening hours. Only because there are more waitresses. I came here once, during lunch, and there was only 1 waitress for the whole restaurant (including delivery and take out.) Lets just say our food took forever! Everything really just took too long Yet, when I go at night, there are more people so its ot just 1 person doing everything. The upside to this place is their happy hour. Sushi for dirt cheap!

    (3)
  • Kristen C.

Alright, this is not the best sushi in Miami but I gotta say I was impressed. We ended up here after being put in a corner [literally] at Shibui. The service was ehhh -- it took a while to get someone to come by and take our order. We ordered miso soups, crab rangoon, a mango roll, zombie roll, and another roll but I can't remember the name... The crab rangoon was OK. Not great, though. The mango roll was definitely our favorite! It was different and had great flavors. The zombie was good but it was a bit too much fish for one roll. I wouldn't rule this place out for sushi if I was in the neighborhood.

I was there this past monday. The food is excellent. The tarantula sushi roll is so good & all the food tasted super fresh. All the Asian waiters and waitresses have been excellent. Although this last time I went with my friend and my daughter, they were a little slow-- So I went to pay at the counter & the latina woman working at the counter has just terrible customer service skills. Other than that terrible woman--- the food has 5 stars!

Ruson size sushi with Fuji Hana prices?! Well don't mind if I do! I've admired Ruson for their sushi size but now I found a place with similar if not exact size but cheaper... dining on a budget is never a bad thing! For a place who is Japanese for the most part, they do have a decent Thai selection and their Pad Thai was delicious. The service was exceptional even if we went an hour before closing. I first visited this place about 8 to 9 years ago when one of my best friend introduced me to sushi. The place has remained intact with some slight updates but nothing too big. The staff is friendly and it is located in a strip mall, there is plenty of parking.

First off, I will admit to some bias because I am very spoiled by my favorite sushi spot, so it's hard for anywhere else to measure up. That being said, I go by the quality of raw fish above all else when I am rating a sushi restaurant. This establishment fails in that department. They have a happy hour special where you can get mediocre sushi for $1 a piece, but I'd rather pay more for good quality and fresh ingredients. I had a couple of decent rolls with cooked ingredients. However, it's really hard to screw those up. I don't see myself ever coming back here.

  • Gus M.

On the two times I've been to Fuji Hana, the service has been mediocre. Long waits to get your order taken and meh food to accompany it. The sushi is pretty good, but not worth your time. The Caribbean roll is alright, but there are a half-dozen better sushi spots in Miami. I know some people swear by the happy hour at this place, and that will be what I do next time I try the place (might be the final time). Whatever you do, DO NOT order any warm food. It is horrible. I had pad-thai the first time and it looked like it came out of the sewers. Someone I knew ordered sweet & sour chicken and it looked like the chicken had been sitting there for hours and then they just dumped some 'fresh' sauce over it and didn't even bother to mix it, to at least make it look new. Avoid the warm meals. Stick to the sushi. Also, the place is a bit dirty, but nothing to make you feel like you're eating in the... toilet... store.

When visiting a client in Kendall I've eaten-in and taken-out from Fuji Hana at least four times, but have never tried their sushi. Their Thai offerings, while not wildly creative, are quite tasty and very reasonably priced. Service can be a bit slow, but always friendly and courteous.

Let's talk Sushi, Miami-Kendall Area--this is the # 1 PLACE. (Take note that I've often visited and reviewed Akashi, Shibui, and Kampai which are relatively close so I do know what I'm comparing it with.) I've been coming here for nearly 7 years and have never had any complaints-- you have to understand that this is sushi from "El barrio" so don't come expecting class (I think that's what might account for some of the lower reviews). MONDAYS-- They have SPECIALS all-night. Super CHEAP sushi by the piece as well as mini appetizers for $1.) The rest of the week, these SPECIALS are from 5PM to 730PM. You can get full and try a variety of things for under $10. The place has a certain charm to it and there is always an extremely laid back vibe. The servers have been there for years and are extremely friendly--if you're a regular they'll even ask you about your love life ("Oh, is this a new boyfriend? Where is the old one?") I like that you can get as ROWDY as you want when doing Sake Bombs and they'll just laugh along. All of their sushi rolls are DELICIOUS but they also make awesome curries as well as their bomb cashew nut chicken. Portions are large and cheap. The menu has a wide variety of options as well as a large selection of drinks. Do not forget to try their Tai Donuts or Tempura Cheesecake.

Talk about great staff, very personable and nice. The Thai guys at that make the sushi are very nice and will go off menu for you if you ask. The food is very good for the price. I would recommend them to a friend or enemy.

This place makes my day! They also make my favorite sushi to perfection! I am not a sushi buff, i dont even really like sea food but i do love salmon and i love white fish! ( sorry not a critter kind of creature) When i arrive i love that i will always find the same friendly faces i have seen for years. Service is pretty prompt, but i dont really go during peak hours. I ALWAYS must have the cheese maki which is a tempura cheddar cheese stick its phenomenal! The tempura JB roll (or bagel roll in other places) which is rice, salmon, CREAM CHEESE! (score!) and scallions. They cut the roll THEN batter it and deep fry it. Which of course everyone knows is the best way to tempura a roll! I also recommend the caliente roll: white fish, rice and avocado with spicy mayo...yumm! And of course you much wash this all down with the little puffy thai donuts... Actually, some Fuji Hana right now would make my day...

I been ordering takeout from Fuji Hanna for awhile now. You can't beat 10% off for ordering online. Today was the first day I was dining in. My experience was really great. I went with my brother for lunch and we both left stuffed and happy. We ordered curry duck, volcano roll, spider roll, the beauty and the best roll and I had the thai wonton soup. The soup was good, it had lots of pork stuff wontons and some vegetables, plus it wasn't too salty like a lot of wonton soups. The curry duck was phenomenal. It was topped with peppers, pineapples, and cashews. The duck was crispy and cooked well and the curry was delicious. Thinking about it wants me to order more. The sushi has been consistently good. I am not a sushi expert or overly critical when it comes to it. I have always been happy with their rolls and it taste good. What made me happy about the lunch was the tempura ice cream. That is my favorite dessert and I can be picky about how it tastes but they passed. It tasted soo good. The dough that covered the ice cream was crispy. Once your spoon cut through the dough, the ice cream gushed out. The sauce, ice cream, and dough complemented each other in every bite. It was really good and it was devoured within minutes. I was extremely happy at that point. For me this place is always consistent. I have tried a variety of things on their menu and not only was I always satisfied, but my brother also. I've had their pad that and it was delicious. I really like their fried rice. It's different from most I've tasted but it is one of my favorites. I love all of their rolls that I've tasted and I am still in trying some new rolls. I mentioned before if you order online it's 10% off. Once your order is completed they call you to verify that they received it. In 20-25 mins the food is ready to be picked up hot and ready. The owner has always greeted me with a smile when I get my food. The staff during my lunch was pleasant and fast. I am happy being a repeat customer at Fuji Hana.

This is my favorite place to eat sushi, been going there for years. The food and service are good. They never get anything wrong when I order take out. On the down side, I hate the parking lot! Not enough parking spaces for the shopping center and the spots are little. So if you have a new car it gets dinged and dented. Other thing is that the restaurant is small so the tables are on top of one another, and you are listening to everyone's conversation, but sometimes that can be quite entertaining ;). Overall good, I would recommend.

  • Patricia B.

The food is good. The service sucks. Never get delivery. I ordered delivery and I literally live less than several blocks away and i didn't get my food until one hour and a half later. The raw sushi was warm as well. The times that I've actually eaten inside the service is always terrible. The waiters don't even try to attend to you. Despite the service, the food is great.

The reason i am giving this place 5 stars is because i have been coming here for 7 years now and it is STILL to this day the one place i can fall back on for great sushi. I like sushi a lot and have tried a vast amount of places, but for the price and quality, i keep seeming to come back to only this one. The deep fried JB's are mouthwatering, as is the BBQ tuna roll. The Crab Rangoon is DELICIOUS, and the pad thai is also a must for those who like noodles. My favorite is the candy cane roll, but really they are ALL good. I've tried almost everything in the menu and have not been disappointed by any of the rolls yet. The GREAT thing about this place is the happy hour every day from 4:30-7pm. And Mondays and Tuesdays it lasts all night. There is a special happy hour menu that is seriously the cheapest good Japanese food i have ever eaten.

SUSHI HAPPY HOUR! Def worth your time, sushi is as cheap as a dollar! 4-7 Mon to Friday. Food is pretty standard, as well as decor. It may take a bit to get your food ( esp if they're busy) but really, if u go during happy hour u won't even care Do sake bombs while you wait, their drink glasses are perfect for it =)

Carribean Roll.... yum! Other than that the vastness of the menu ranging from Japanese to Sushi dishes was kind of overwhelming. Plus, I heard a lot of complaints from the others at our table. For myself though, with my little roll and some Thai Donuts I left a moderately happy camper. I won't however be rushing back.

It was a day off and it rained all day and I was in the mood for spicy Thai. Here's the good things about this place: 1. You can order online, look at a picture of your food, and ready for this, get a 10% discount on your order - WOW!!! 2. You could go in to eat and nowhere else but here would you enjoy daily sushi happy hours from 5pm to 7pm. I say WOW!!! 3. The food will always be consistent - eat in or take out. Now, my faves: I've had all their sushi - good stuff. Love the tomkha gai soup - it's spicy and tangy all at once. Ooh so good!!! Then try the Pad Kraprow (fresh basil chicken), ooh it was spicy alright - yum yum!!! Now the fried rice, and they mean fried when they say fried - my dish had a 1/4" oil layer at the bottom - won't be getting that too often. Delicious nonetheless!! So go ahead order out or eat in - you'll love it all.

I really don't understand why anyone would give this place 5 stars. Fuji Hana is anything but a 5 star restaurant. We ordered the crab rangoon appetizer, and it was OK. Nothing to write home about, but tasty. When my roll arrived, I should have known better than to actually try a piece. It reeked of rancid seafood, and it tasted worse than it smelled. I sent it back after trying the first piece- that thing had E.Coli/Food poisoning written all over it. I sent my roll back and ordered something else, which, after waiting for 25 minutes and not getting my food, we asked for the check. I think it was for the best, really. The waitress was rude to us from the moment we sat down, and you can only imagine her attitude after I sent back the bad sushi. My boyfriend ordered fried rice, he's a lot smarter than I am- staying far away from the sushi, and it was OK. Fried rice is pretty hard to screw up. It was pretty shiny and greasy, though. You can get better anywhere else. Will we be back? No. There are far too many restaurants in this great city to ever deal with rude, slow service, less-than-great (to say the least) food, and an atmosphere similar to that of a high school cafeteria.

We usually eat at Ruson on our trips here.. After reading the reviews for this place and it being nearer our hotel we gave it a try. We hit at during the happy hour and everything, service, food and waitstaff were great. The sushi, rolls and sashimi were fresh, presentation was nice and service was attentive. Thank you Maria. We will be back.

Me and my boyfriend come once a month for Happy hour sushi, chicken patai and SAKEEEE :). Its great for the price and the Thai donuts are delicious for desert. Its quite convenient for what it is - a cute lil date place for us on a regular day.

Sushi was good and fresh. I had the dragon roll and a side of fried rice and both were yummy. I also really enjoyed their sweet tea which tastes like freshly brewed sweet tea which I love! The waitress was friendly and the food was served within a reasonable amount of time. Great little sushi place.

Big fan of this place. They have really great rolls, but being a fan of sushi and nigiri, this is some of the freshest fish you'll find in Miami at a very very reasonable price. When I was living in the area, I would order take-out from there almost every other day. Fresh fish, friendly service, ample parking, reasonable prices. What more could you ask for?

  • Kiah T.

Ordered food online to go about 3:45 pm. Had someone call me at 4:15pm to tell me the cooks/driver were all on a break and the driver would be back at 5. ok ... I live literally 2 minutes away, busy at home so I wait. 5:20 pm ringring to ask me more questions about my order. 5:45 Kariage is cold. Fried rice is extremely oily. Salad dressing is good but seems bottled. Spicy Crunchy Tuna Roll is exactly as ordered no spicy mayo but sriracha instead, fish seems fresh but rice is a gluey, chewy disgusting mess. I always see people complain about rice and never understood how someone could mess it up until now. Do I order again when the lazy sushi craving strikes? Or do I just finally admit to myself that there really is no good sushi in Kendall.. wait wait umm .. nope nevermind. I think it's the latter.

The sushi is amazing and the prices are acceptable. I go here for lunch and they are extremely fast in service if you tell them you have an hour for lunch. If don't eat sushi there are other items on their menu. The only thing is that if you don't watch them they will take your dish with a single roll. The fried JB rolls are delicious and their tuna tataki is a good portion. The rolls here are big and taste very fresh. You can sit in front of them while they are preparing them.

Love this place! Where else can you get delicious, fresh sushi for $1-$1.50 for 4 rolls??? That is if you go from 5-7pm and ask for the $1 sushi strips. It's just 5 different-color strips and you get to choose from apps to rolls. I personally love the fried JB roll - tempura JB roll with cream cheese. Can't be bad: cream cheese? good, tempura? GOOD! You really get so much value for your money! delish.

I go here at least once a week. Food is fresh, price is cheap. I love this place. The owner Jen is so sweet. If you go there regularly she knows you and makes you feel welcomed and makes you feel good for spending your money with them. They have on week nights $1 sushi. Its great cause you can try different rolls or tempura or other things for a cheap price. I love this place and they place gets full by 6pm daily and believe me they get full for a reason. You should try this place. They don't spend allot of money on the decor so the price is just right. You should try the Tigers eye, amazing roll.

Just had dinner there an hour ago. It's a hidden little gem in Kendall and let's be honest, their are few hidden gems in this area. Moderately priced, two people can eat for about $50. This is including tip and drinks. The staff is very nice and eager to please. Every time I said thank you, our waitress said, with a kind and warm response "your welcome". Rare to hear sometimes, especially in Kendall. I had the Dragon roll and the Caliente roll. The dragon was awesome. If you love avocado, this roll is for you. The caliente roll was different, in that it had spice mayo. Not a fan of mayo in general but if it's wrapped in spice, it makes everything nice. For an appetizer we had the Crab Rangoon. It was okay. It seemed to have some type of curry sauce which was a spicy mustard in color. It taste exactly like the curry sauce you would get from Pollo Tropical when you order one of there tropi-chops. Over all, great atmosphere, good service at a reasonable price and awesome food.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I've been eating here for almost 7 yrs now. They have Sushi Happy hour Mon - Fri from 5pm to 7pm. AMAZING food for a steal of a price. It's a small, family operated place and every time you walk in they great you as if you too were part of the family. If you have kids that do not eat sushi not a problem they also have a kids menu. WARNING: it gets packed on the weekends. My fav things to eat here: JB rolls, eel rolls, California rolls, Hot Green Tea, Tuna rolls. My hubby likes the fried rice with chicken and the shrimp tempura ENJOY!

Went here for lunch on my friends recommendation. This is definitely the best sushi restaurant I've been to since moving from SF to Miami. We had the Spider roll, Catepillar roll, and a Dynamite roll. They were all well flavored and unlike most places which rely on hot sauce on top of the sushi to make their rolls spicy, the restaurant was able to integrate it into their roll. The soft shell crab within the spider roll was also excellent and still warm when it arrived! Service was very prompt as well. All the rolls were larger than expected and the prices were reasonable. The restaurant is definitely not as pretentious as most of the other sushi restaurants in Miami. However, what surprised us the most was the music. This must be the first place in Miami where we've eaten at a restaurant and heard a good selection of Taiwanese/Chinese pop music.

Never had a bad experience eating here. My favorite roll is the Dragon Roll. This is not the best sushi bar, but certainly not bad at all.

Great sushi, not so great service. Prepare to come here with time. The place is rarely packed so at least you dont have to wait for a table, but service is oddly slow and not very well informed of the menu. They have traditional rolls, but the best thing on the menu is the Pad-Thai noodles. Also, take advantage of Sushi happy hour. 3-6:59 M-TH (i think) you can get sashimi for 1.00 per piece as well as age tofu, vegetable tempura, 4 piece sushirolls for $1.50 and so on. you will leave stuffed on $10.00 with a lot more variety than if you just got two regular roll types.

Amazing sushi! One of the best and most reasonably priced sushi places in Miami. I never know what to order (because I love everything) and I have gotten the "Surprise Roll" 3 times recently. It's a roll that is the chef's secret creation (always a different roll) and it is not on the menu. Will definitely keep going back! Also, contrary to the reviews I've read, the staff is very nice and always have a recommendation for indecisive eaters like me.

Just think of a meadow on a cool day and sitting at the side of the meadow drinking tea. This place makes me feel like that every time I walk in. It has a very impressive wall drawing and it is LITERALLY the only place I know that serves Udon and Ramen somewhat close to the authentic Japanese Udon and Ramen noodle soup, at least in Miami, Florida. The service is awesome the people there are always polite and nice. I accidentally waked in not knowing they were closed and they still greeted me and sat me to eat with no complaints at all. On my way out I notice that they were closed from 3:30 to 5pm for lunch and I was so glad that they were kind enough to let me eat, especially since they were on break. I will go to them as many times as I can even if it makes my bank account in the negatives ^_^

I really love this restaurant and have been going there for approximately 7-8 years. I love that I can order online and go get it in 20 minutes and with a 10% discount. I can always walk in and be seated immediately. They know me by name and we get great service. There's one waiter that isn't very personable but hopefully we don't sit in that section! Even when we do, the food is worth having to deal with him. We have taken large parties there and have been served very quickly and really, it's a great deal for the price, particularly when you go during hapy hour. It's a shame that a few people have had a bad experience, it's such a good restaurant, but I guess even great places have a bad day.

In my opinion it's the best place to get Raman noodles and authentic Japanese and Thai food. Sushi is very good there I think even better then Akashi and you don't even have to wait! Very good service and the people are super friendly and fast! I totally recommend if you like to go try something new. :D

I'm pretty sure this is owned by the same people that run Kampai. Personally, though their menu is almost identical, I much prefer Kampai. However, one thing Fuji Hana does offer is Happy Hour sushi. Available every day from 5:30-7pm (and Mondays and Tuesdays all night), you can get smaller portions at unbeatable prices. I love this for the variety and price, obviously. Wait staff is nice. You can also order online for take-out or delivery at fujihanakendall.com .

I've eaten here with people who don't like spicy food, and they have loved their food. But this place also knows how to do spicy! If you tell them to make it as spicy as possible, the will! Their cashew fried tofu is excellent, but there are better places to go for Massaman curry. Unfortunately, no curry puffs on their Thai menu. But these are minor complaints compared to how good everything else is.

Not so good sushi, not so good service. Fly flew into my soy sauce. Fish was not fresh. Dressing on salad was not as delicious as in other Japanese restaurants. Sister restaurant, Kampai, is much better.

so, last night some friends and i decided to go get some food and we wanted sushi so, we went to Fuji Hana since, it was the first sushi restaurant that we saw. i hadn't been there in ages so, i figured i would give it a try. i ordered as usual a volcano roll and phad thai with shrimp and meat. the volcano roll was spicy therefore, i was really disappointed. i can't handle spicy food. but, what really bothers me was the fact that on the menu it wasn't mentioned that the volcano roll had a kick to it. the phad thai was good but, a little to sweet. over all it was okay nothing grand. and truth i wouldn't go back here. it was a little to pricey and the food was average nothing to remember. oh and our bus boy was getting on my nerves he was to talkative and wouldn't let us eat and our waitress couldn't care less if we had water or not or if everything was okay with the food. therefore, she didn't get a very nice tip! "WE ARE IN A RECESSION..NO TIP" lol in the words of my good friend Nini.

Best sushi in Kendall! By far my favorite sushi place in all of South miami areas. Always fresh, not over priced and not pretentious!! Best deep fried jb roll ever had ever. .. and I've ordered that in every sushi house I've been to! Go there!

Been coming here since 2001 ... Recently went back but needless to say the quality just isn't there anymore.... Happy hour sushi is the only reason to go here ....

We've given this place several tries because the menu items we've tried have been good, prices are ok, and it's relatively close to my house. My favorite is the Spicy Tuna roll and the Rainbow roll. However, unless you get Lynn as your server, service is not great. My order was placed incorrectly the other day and after waiting what seemed to be an eternity, the food came & it was not what I had ordered. BIG disappointment. They take LONG to make the food compared to the other sushi place we go to and the parking absolutely sucks! Shibui will continue to be our favorite.

My husband and I were regulars of Fuji Hana for many, many years (5+). We used to dine there 1-2x per week. It was our go to sushi spot - quick, cheap, decent food, and great service. Upon venturing off to try other sushi places in the area, our visits to Fuji Hana became less frequent. Fast forward to present time We went for happy hour last night, and not much has changed - the waiter was great, the food was wonderful, and everything was brought out exactly to our liking. This place has never had much wow factor in terms of appearance, but I did notice that it seemed a lot more run down than I ever remember it being. I personally believe that they should do away with their blue cloth napkins, as they're dingy and smell weird. Who wants to wipe their mouth with that? The high chairs were also dirty and beat up. I'm not saying they need a makeover (I know that can get expensive), but they should really tidy up a little. In the restaurant industry, looks matter. We love Fuji Hana, and we'll be coming back, but they could use a little help.

This used to be one of my go-to happy hour sushi spots. After a long hiatus, I was eager and excited to eat here again not knowing this would be the end of the road for me. I understand these are happy hour prices, but there is absolutely no reason to compromise the quality of the sushi. (Ra Sushi does not disappoint with their HH). The fish shouldn't be dry and pale looking. The eel is NO BUENO! I shouldn't have to worry about swallowing tiny bones and getting stuck in my throat, making for an uncomfortable situation. It was a little on the chewy side as well. The sea-weed's texture was not pleasant, chewy rather. Maybe it was an off night. What was ordered: Tomkha Gai (Lemongrass Chicken Soup) - Coconut milk, lime juice, galanga root, mushrooms, lemongrass, scallions, and a hint of roasted chili paste. This Thai soup is very good, barely any chicken but still delicious. A Variety of HH Sushi Rolls - Entirely too much rice and very little pale dry protein. They should just be called Rice Rolls. Tempura Shrimp - Battered and deep fried... Tasteless to me. Did not care for it. ~Service has always been fast and friendly. ~Nice and cozy atmosphere. ~Great happy hour prices all night long! Bottom line is that fast and friendly with happy hour prices just won't cut it when I have sushi cravings. It's not enough to drag me in here and certainly not for Thai soup either. P.S. Hello to my stalker, RG! #GetALife!

I was initially excited when our super sweet server said we had arrived during Happy Hour. "NANI?" Yes. Ridiculously cheap sushi noms. A tempura MENU. Beef and chicken satay skewers. Potstickers and hot appies ALSO at low low prices. They all TASTED as cheap as they were priced, though. Admittedly, I will probably go again. I will just a) Order different things off the happy hour menu to see if anything is better value or b) Order from the bar, not the happy hour menu. It'll be tough for them to compete with nearby J Tokyo, though!

This is a very good option for an Asian restaurant in Kendall that delivers. They have an excellent online ordering system and charge an automatic 15% gratuity to the order along with the $3.99 delivery charge. We got a call back in less than 5 minutes to confirm the online order. All the items arrived in 25 minutes and were hot and wrapped to avoid leaking. The spring rolls and shrimp in the blanket were filled with large and fresh items but they were thin and small. The pad thai had a ton of white chicken pieces but it did not have alot of peanut flavor and did not have bean sprouts. The tuna was fresh and was thinly sliced. The chili basil had alot of meat and fresh basil but too many onions and peppers for the dish. You will pay a slightly higher price than Tani Thai or Sea Siam but you get more meat in the main dishes. A great delivery option.

Where do I start off this place is amazing the customer service is more than excellent food is delicious and perfectly price. There was a waiter by the name of Jiro and he gave the upmost excellent service and even customized my order to my taste. Best place if I can Id right over 1 million reviews saying how amazing it is

Fuji Hana is a great Sushi restaurant. There happy hour is really great but if you do go on non-happy hour days, you will not be overcharged like so many other sushi restaurants. They also have seasonal, special rolls that they offer from time to time. I like to enjoy this place after a long run, the service is always great and I will most likely be back next week!

Hubby and I decided to try out this sushi restaurant after a recommendation from a friend. Restaurant itself is not the most updated and prettiest there is. But food was good!! We ordered a few from the "most popular rolls" list. We ordered the Tropical Mango, Volcano and Spicy Crunch Tuna Rolls and for dessert the cheesecake tempura. All the rolls were delicious!! My all time favorite was the tropical mango! My hubby was the spicy crunch tuna roll. Prices were reasonable with average of $8-$13 per roll. I think that's awesome! Cheesecake tempura was ok, flavor was good but it was still frozen. Our server was Jiro he was the absolute most helpful and attentive server he have had in awhile. He made our visit a amazing experience. Always eager to provide suggestions and refills. Ask for Jiro and you will be happy you did!

We love this place! My boyfriend and I go to this place almost every Friday, we sit on the same table and always get amazing customer service. We love the tuna appetizer and always try different rolls. If we make it to happy hour we get to enjoy a wide variety of rolls for a super low price. If not their regular menu offers great options! Love it!!!

My entire family and I are obsessed with this place. We go a few times a week and have our usual. We love the sushi and also the Thai food, so it's nice having many options. The masaman curry is the best I have ever had. The staff is very friendly, which is always a plus!

I want to love this place, because they're so close to my house. I gave them a second chance after I ordered sushi and it was delivered an hour later with no sauces at all. Second time I made sure to specifically ask for everything I needed. Third time, called about the rest of the menu, person had no idea what was on it, and called us back more than 3 times to confirm issues with our order and told us he would call back with the total. The food was home in less than 15 minutes which makes me wonder how fresh my food was.

The sushi is pretty good here and the service may not be the best but what I like most about this place are the prices! Most sushi places are ridiculously expensive but here I got my favorite dish, shrimp tempura rolls, for only $8!!!

This place isn't anything special. We usually go to Akashi or miyakos in south Miami about 15 min from this place and the food here didn't compare... But we tried something new! At least we know :) We only tried the sushi so maybe there's some bias. Try for yourself!! I won't be coming back.

I come here a lot. Not because the sushi is phenomenal but because it's *decent* at a GREAT price! We're talking two dollars for four rolls of sushi between 5-7PM. How can you beat that??

I love this place! It's my neighborhood joint and everyone is so friendly. It is very casual (at least during the day) but I like the friendly, no pressure atmosphere. The food is delish and I have never had anything I didn't love!

Food wise this place is bomb. On the other hand their service has sucked the last 3 times I've gone there. The last time I went there though it seemed like delivery was more of a priority over take out food when the people were actually there waiting for their food. Was told to pick up in 15 minutes and my food was not ready till 35 minutes later. There goes 50 minutes driving and waiting, and on top of that my rolls were half ass made. They should either train better their staff or simply get more people.

i wanted to try something different beside Sushin because it's was close by. Me and my girlfriend were lazy to get dressed so we decided to order from this place. I got a Volcano Roll, Dragon Roll, Shrimp Tempura Appetizer, two Miso Soups, and French Roll. The total amount is $56.04. It took like an hour and a half for the food to get to my house and mind you, its like 0.5 miles away from me. I open up the bag to find that I was missing my miso soup and my shrimp tempura. The quality of the food was horrible. The spicy mayo for the Volcano Roll tasted like they just open the jar of mayo and put it in a small container. The miso soup was cold and also the sushi rolls were as well. The only thing that came out good was the Shrimp Termpura that came out fresh. I will not go there again and i honestly wish that I could get my refund for the food.

I like this place. The sushi is quite good for the area. I usually get the spicy tuna roll and it's actually spicy! The service is not bad. I haven't had a BA experience with that (fingers crossed!). I guess the only hassle is the parking lot and I would love for them turn off the TV!

The prices are too high for the quality of the food. I was nauseous 4 hours after eating salmon sushi. Will never come back here!
