Super yummy BB ribs, wings and pulled pork - mash pots fron scratch :) Plus excellent service - our waitress Angela was a doll - super nice - we sat at an outside table as we have a dog and she brought him fresh water - nice :)

BBQ was good, but my wife and I still believe Dickey's to be the best so far. We haven't tried all the BBQ resturants around, but so far Dickey's is our personal favorite. I did like the fact that the bar at Woody's stated "Coldest beer". Can't go wrong with that.

I no longer work in the area, so I can't speak to the lunch crew, but the dinner crew my past couple of visits has provided sub-par service. On my latest visit, I stood at the front counter for 5 minutes before someone came to seat me, or so I thought. Instead, she started to tell me the problems they were having with my call-in order. When I said I wasn't there for take out, I wanted to dine-in, they seemed genuinely surprised. I ordered the all you can eat pork, and it took about 10 minutes to come out, which is longer than I'm used to at this location. Then my server disappeared. I had almost completed the "first round" when a check was placed on my table as the server waltzed by saying "whenever you're ready." It took a bit to get the attention of my server after that, and to let her know that I'd like a re-order. "Re-order?" she asked... "Yes, I ordered the AYCE, it says so right on the check you left me earlier." So, I changed my order to turkey (same price, I've done this many times before) and changed the vegetables. The reorder came out, pork, and the same veggies as the first order. By this time, I was just ready to get out the door, so I didn't complain. I won't be making any special trips to visit this location again. For what it's worth, other tables seemed to be having problems with their orders, as well. I hope they get their ducks in a row.

The pulled pork was chewy . The green beans seemed like they came straight out of a can. The macaroni and cheese was super overcooked. Way overpriced . Never coming back.

Please stay away...vegetables out of cans, fries cold and limp, BBQ pork fatty, Baby Back ribs overcooked and service is slow and unattentive. Now I see why I had a Group On and others had BOGO's. I won't be darkening the doors of Woody's anytime in the future. Just awful and I'll never get that hour of my life back. Plus my wife is mad at me for taking her!

Jacksonville has many "pretty good", and a few GREAT barbecue joints. This one is in the "pretty good" category. Its very clean. The service is good. There's nothing at all wrong with the food. The same could be said for Cracker Barrel. Fake "antique" signs adorn the walls like every chain store always has. We occasionately eat here because its conveniently located on Phillips highway @ Baymeadows, near I-95, and its on our way out of town. The food is 'pretty good'.. You could easily do better without driving too far, but you could also do much worse. The three stars are for location, a clean place, and good service. But there's no real passion for food here.

POOR POOR POOR (did I say POOR?) service!!!!! Did not see our server for 15 minutes after we first sat down. Took another 40 minutes between getting drinks and getting food. The place was less than half full, so where were the servers? I agree with another review in that the food was sub-par. Bitter greens on the salad, BBQ was dry, sides were mushy. NOT worth the wait. What happened, Woody's?? Take care of your customers or you may have to shut this location down!

Don't go during lunch. Twice we've waited over an hour for our food. Not the same style of BBQ that they once had. Baked beans and fried corn are always awesome though. Good AYCE specials too.

Sorry but I feel that Woody's has gone down hill since they started popping up more locations. It is fair but the portions and quality is not what it was especially for their prices. There are a a number of other BBQ joints in the area to choose from instead of being disappointed at Woody's.

I visited this restaurant with my friend Jimmy P. I ordered the classic bbq, beef, cole slaw and mash potatoes. The cole slaw was too dry in my opinion, the beef was ok, and the mash potatoes was excellent, very delicious gravy. The service was like a big contradiction. The waitress was plain, very direct and a little rough. But two managers asked us if everything was ok. One of the things that I liked was the different sauces that they had on the table. Thet were like four or five.

The last time I've eaten at Woody's was probably about 12 years ago. I purchased a $20 worth of barbecue for this location through Groupon for under $10. Money well spent. Nice location and the place wasn't busy so our service was great! My son and I ordered the dinner for 2 for $17.99. We had an appetizer, 2 meats, and 4 sides. We chose pulled pork and ribs for the meats and french fries, baked beans, turnip greens, and fried okra for the sides. Loved their baked beans and their turnip greens was awesome - probably the best I've had in Jacksonville. Final bill = $0 and we even had leftovers:). Great deal! They also have all you can eat specials: BBQ chicken for 9.99, sliced pork, or beef, or turkey for $12.99, sliced beef and pork and turkey for 14.99 and ribs for $14.99. Note: Check Groupon for BBQ deals.

Sitting here now and trying to eat, what they call BBQ, for this first and definitely last visit. Asked for brisket and smoked turkey. Turkey came out cut in squares! Brisket has no taste and is stone cold. If I wasn't really hungry, I would have walked out. Why do they pretend to serve BBQ? Not even close. Live and learn. If I could give NO stars, I would.

I will give them 2 stars just because the server was really attentive. The food is mediocre at best but I only tried the wings and the very Greasy Garlic Fried mushrooms. After that experience, I don't think I'll even give them a try with the other selections. Hopefully others will have a better quality food than I did.

Went to eat there on a Friday. It was very empty. Our server was very nice and attentive. The food was ok...the bbq was very dry and was really lacking that bbq taste and the fries were really over done. :/

With the new owner and manager, I feel like our Woody' , just around the corner has sprung back! For a while there we didn't go because the service was poor and the food was not as good as when they first opened it. Met the new manager today as my granddaughter and I had lunch, very nice! He seemed sincerely interested in turning the the restaurant around. I'm glad because it's right around the corner from me, and a fun place to just drop in for a bit? I wish them luck, and hope people will come back and try it out again.

This was the 3rd try for this location. Catfish was over-cooked, potato cold on the inside, ribs were absolutely nasty tasting. All the waitress could say was, Sorry! No discount or even remove it from the bill. NEVER TO RETURN!!!!
