My husband is obsessed with moes. I've had no issues with this location. Make sure you download the moes app for free burritos

I love Moes but this location is the slowest one in the southeast and they never say "welcome to Moes" At least the food is good.

I am a big fan of Moe's... especially over their big competitor that starts with a "C". The food is always fresh. They have a great selection of veggies (really like the mushrooms). Large portions. This location was clean, but seemed old and a little "dark" (dimly lit). The serving line could have used a wiping down. It was fairly busy, so I can see why this might have gotten over looked. This location is in a good spot, so hopefully it will get a makeover soon. The servers all seemed to on the ball when I was there. Again, as the saying goes: "Welcome To Moes!"

I love coming here and getting their nachos. And they have really good tofu. The staff is usually very friendly and nice.

Another extremely overrated by Yelp reviewers restaurant. I am only giving this place two stars instead of one because the staff was friendly and they have a very cool Coca Cola drink machine which dispenses dozens of varieties of sodas. This is a Chipotle knock-off, and a very poor one. I had the pork burrito, and it was very bad. Even the tortilla was bad, the worst tortilla I've ever tasted in my life, almost inedible. The guacamole had large chunks of unripe avocado in it, blah (and I love avocado). There is a a real Chipotle just a couple of miles from here, do yourself a huge favor, and go there if this what you're in the mood for.

I find this Moe's location to be very "meh." I work right across the street so sometimes it's the easiest place to pop in and grab food. During lunch time (maybe 11:30-1:30?) the parking lot is a total zoo and I refuse to have anything to do with it. For an early or late lunch, no problem. The service is mediocre at best (on a recent visit the guys making my food were friendly, when I got to the register the woman working the register and another guy chatted for another minute or so before either even looked my way). I tend to get a jr burrito at Moe's since it's a little more manageable and doesn't make me so full I can't stand it and the jr burritos they make here seem way smaller than other locations. It's not the worst choice you can make but not worth going out of your way for.

After being at the opening of the the new Moe's last Wednesday at the River Place location, our visit to this older location was very disappointing. Thomas was the 1st to greet us with a very lackluster Welcome To Moe's but at least he said the corporate mantra. The other 4 employees didn't even try. In fact, they all seemed miserable. The 2nd employee didn't appear to even want to be there. It was very slow, not many customers for 6:30pm in a Saturday, but she was leaning on the counter, arms spread and head hanging down. It appeared as if she may have even been ill or just to tired to work. I couldn't get her name as the letters in her name tag was small due to a lengthy 1st name. I think it started with Ch... But like I said it was hard to make out. Whenever she did stand erect she wore a frown. Anthony was next in line who helped give us a cup of quesso as ordered but no chips to go with the cup of quesso. He, like Thomas and "Ch..." never smiled once. In fact nobody did. We watched them while we were eating and the employees didn't even talk amongst themselves. It gave a very unfriendly vibe. C'mon Moe's!!!! Send Corporate down here and retrain these duds. I will add that Courtney was the cashier and at least said thank you, it was without a smile so it obviously was obligatory as the last employee (older than the others) appear to be the manager and was watching over her. The dining room was a disaster. Food and napkins in the booths, the seats and the floor. I won't be back to this location.

This location is going downhill, fast. We have eaten here at least once every two weeks for the past couple of years and recently it's been bad. The floors look like they haven't been swept in weeks. And today, one of the guys on the food line wiped off the food preparation with his gloved hand, then wiped BOTH gloved hands down his apron, then proceeded to make my food. I was horrified.

This place is hit or miss on taste. Sometimes it's fresh and awesome, other times your food tastes like you just took it out of the refrigerator even though they made it right in front of you. I would feel better about the taste if it wasn't $13 to have lunch there. It's mostly a miss on the employees. I get it. They probably don't want to commit their lives to Moe's but it seems like people don't care there. I've been to other Moe's where the employees at least looked like they cared about you and your business. I've taken my kids here twice. Both times the latches on the high chairs were broken which always upsets me. It's a cheap fix, how hard is it to make that a priority.

Well after going to the grand opening of another location in Jacksonville this week I had high hopes for having a wonderful experience. I was very disappointed this evening. First off, it was dirty. The tables had crumbs and leftovers all over them and under the tables looked as if no one has cleaned up all day. Second, the telltale "Welcome to Moe's" that is supposed to greet each customer was said by maybe one guy and it was half-hearted if that. The people behind the counter didn't seem to want to be there, except the first guy who pretty much was the only one welcoming anyone that walked in the door. He wasn't super excited but at least he had a smile. The girl that did the second part of the order looked like she was sick or overly tired and just seemed sad for lack of a better description. The manager didn't seem to be engaged with what was going on in the store and certainly wasn't following through with the passion that we were told was a trademark of Moe's and how they want to be portrayed in the community. And it wasn't like they were busy. There was no one in line in front of us, maybe two other families in the dining room and then three guys walked in behind us, so it can't be chalked up to being busy at 6:30pm on a Saturday night. As for the food, I got the stack with steak. It was good but I think the ingredients could have been fresher. The steak looked like it had been sitting there for a while. The corn salsa looked old. The corn was a dingy shade of yellow and was soggy when I tasted it. The only thing that was good was the queso but I don't think that could be messed up too bad. Unfortunately the chips were greasy, so that was a disappointment too. I am rating *this* location with 2 stars based on the experience and on the food. I will go back to the location I was at earlier in the week. I'm hopeful my experience will be what it is supposed to be after meeting with the corporate leaders and training team that were down from Atlanta on Wednesday (8/20/14).

It's really hard to mess things up at a place like this, yet they still do. I've been a couple times and every time I go the employees are all stoned out of their minds and can barely do normal tasks, like applying sriracha without drowning my burrito in hot sauce. I've also never had a hot burrito from this place, they're always barely luke warm. Someone get a manager in here to train these kids... even McDonalds has it together more than this place does.

I got the homewrecker Jr today. The normal homewrecker is way to much to eat.. It was very good. I love the tortilla Shell's they stay together so well.

Went on my Lunch break took 20 minutes before I could even get my order in. I wish a Chipotle was closer to the avenues mall. this place is slow and its a lot of young kids that don't really have a sense of urgency. Oh but the food was good

Food was alright. The dude behind the counter was quite rude when I questioned him about pricing, which in the end I was correct. I just paid what he said cause I didn't want to continue the argument in front of the people in the restaurant.

I am titling this FOOD AND FIGHT: Worst food I have ever seen and worst staff. I have heard people speak of Moe's in such a good light I decided to try it. I went in at lunch time during the week. The place was busy, I have no idea why, and it seemed like it would be a good fit for me. I saw the ingredients that are supposed to be FRESH but actually look canned, but I decided I am here everyone says it's good and it's busy so I will give it a try against my better judgement. I sat down to eat and took a bite literally it all tasted canned. People who like this place or have eaten here must not know what REAL fresh food tastes like at all! I spit it out. I went to their free " salsa bar" my complimentary chips tasted stale weren't hot and the salsa bar just looked gross. I was picking at my food when a customer asked an employee to clean the table off because there were no other tables and it was a mess. He took the same towel that he used to clean the salsa bar off with and then continued to clean the garbage can/tray area with it ( the towel was by accident or other placed into the dirty garbage can slightly upon cleaning the rest of it) this employee then proceeded to clean off the customers table. The customer complained to him saying it wasn't clean because the towel had gone inside the dirty garbage can. The employee got in a verbal fight with the customer then threw the towel at the customer and ran into the back. The manager was called over who apologized profusely and had the employee who did this come out apologize and clean the table a second time the correct way. At this point I was overly DISGUSTED! So I told the manager the food was awful and I would never return. He gave me a refund which is the only reason there is one star up there. If that hadn't happened I would give it no stars.

This review is going to be limited because I'm admitting that I only go to Moe's for one dish. I absolutely love Moe's chicken club quesadilla. When I first moved to Jacksonville, we tried Moe's and that was the first item I got and I figure, hey, why mess up a good thing. Since then, I've been to most of the Moe's locations in Duval. Much like the way Chipotle or Qdoba "manufactures" your meal, I like the way there's an assembly line to put your food together - a la Ford Motor Company. One of the reasons why I can't give this particular Moe's (or any Moe's in Duval) that coveted fifth star is because there's often times way too many people in there. That within itself isn't a bad thing, but what I've seen end up happening is that a party will get up from a table and leave and there's no one there to wipe down the table for you and your friend before you get your food. The other reason why I can't give Moe's a perfect five is because of its tortilla chips. I feel like they are salted entirely too much. Thank God for the soda machine with 15 billion flavor combinations.

A little on the expressive side for freaking burritos. This is the Subway for burritos.

This Moe's location is awesome. The service is consistently good, dining area clean, and food very tasty. We visit here very often since it's such a convenient location. On our recent visit, one of the staff there accidently mess up my husband's burrito. Actually, not "mess up", but more of a in a daze, tossed his burrito into the trash can instead of handing it to my husband. Now picture this, it was a busy dinner rush hour for them. Besides us, there were maybe a dozen or so people standing in line, and we ALL witness how she casually tossed the already made, wrapped up burrito into the trash. Poor girl, because once everyone realized what she did, the staff and the customers all busted out laughing. She quickly made another burrito while apologizing continuously and the supervisor comped us that meal without us even mentioning anything (we weren't gonna, it was quite entertaining). Oh, and the addition of the 100+ flavor coke machine is awesome!

Omggggg I love this place. It's a bit pricy, but I've never had a bad burrito. I advise you to get your order to go because they are much more generous with their chips. :) Also make sure to get the queso....muy bien!

We love the homewrecker, quesadillas, rice bowls and queso dip. They are usually very busy for lunch, so get there a little early, or take a later one if you want to find a seat easily. Oh, the green salsa is yummy too!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
