I order Jimmy Johns at least once a week for my employees and myself. I've never had any issues. Even when I came in and forgot to request wheat bread they remade it for me quickly. The bread on my sandwich is always fresh you can't beat it!

If you want your avocado on the top of the fixings instead of in the middle of everything, you're out of luck at this Jimmy John's. They blame corporate of course. Even spoke to the manager. No more Jimmy John's for me! Just reviewing my reviews here, and it's been 3 weeks and I never heard back from corporate on my complaint (email or phone call). JJ's really doesn't care.

Sorry, but you barely get a one star. The service was non existent and the cashier didn't even look me in the eye. It was like a bunch of crazy kids rebeling because, their boss was not there. The food was gross too. The bread was stale and when I asked fora napkin the guy said it is over there in a rude manner. Avoiding this place.

I don't get the mediocre reviews for this place: I think they're a cut above. I rank them as the best sandwich shop in the Tinseltown area, ahead of Jason's Deli, Larry's Giant Subs, Subway, Jersey Mike's, and Gandolfo's. Their wheat bread is really good (when it's not overcooked). My standard is a Number 4 (turkey) on wheat with cheese. It's cheap, at $6.42 with tax. JJ's cookies are also excellent in my opinion. I also thought an Italian sub I got on their regular French bread recently was a cut above. There are two minor things I don't like about the place. They don't give you itemized credit card receipts, though you can get two separate receipts if you ask (one itemized and another for the credit card charge). Also, they hand you the sandwich with the same messy hands that made it. You can put it in a bag and get a napkin if you want. They should take off their gloves and put the sandwich in a bag with a napkin. Update: I discovered that the number 12 sandwich gives you more food for less money than the number 4, so I've switched my standard order. The two sandwiches are similar, but the 12 adds avocado spread and cucumbers, and sprouts if you like. I'm a regular there, but no one had ever pointed out this savings opportunity to me. The problem with the number 4 is that wheat bread and cheese are both extra cost, totaling $1.25. They're free with the more expensive number 12, so its net cost is less the way I get it. It's a bit tastier too. My old order was $6.42. My new standard order only costs $6.15. And a comment on the wheat bread: when it's just right it's superb. But it's usually overcooked. It's still pretty good then, but when it's fresh and cooked just enough it's really good. My second-choice sandwich shop in the area is Jason's Deli. It's the only other one that I bother with. It's more expensive: $7.47 for what I get. Update 1/15: I've seen a couple of quality-control problems at Jason's and I don't know if I'll go back.

Let me start by saying I have always been a fan of Jimmy John's but today I'm absolutely disgusted. I got a sandwich, California Club, and when I took a bite and got what could only be a mouthful of dirt. It wasn't salt or pepper... I opened up the sandwich to investigate and not only was there dirt but rotting lettuce!! I will NEVER order from this location again!

Took them over 40 minutes for an online order. I live 3 miles away. Don't order from them this place sucks.

I eat at Jimmy John's all the time. I always order the #12 beach club. Mainly because I love avacado. We'll today I went to 9823 Tapestry Park Circle in Jacksonville FL. I went to the register ordered a #12 and asked for no mayo. Please put the avacado on the bread instead. The gal at the register asked the manager if they could do that, and the manager said NO. Really? You have a corporate policy that the messy avacado spread must go in the middle of the cheese so when you take a bite it's squirting out the end of the sandwich? Do you have people that like avacado test these sandwiches? As a customer I am appalled that I can not have my food made the way I want when I am the one paying for and eating it. Unfortunately now, I will never eat at Jimmy John's again. Unless you tell me I can have my sandwich made the way I would like to eat it.

if you are in a hurry, jimmy johns is the fastest. the #9 is my personal favorite, but all their subs are good. also, if you don't feel like french bread, the wheat is a great substitute.

Glad Jimmy Johns is now in Jacksonville. Great meaty sub sandwiches using good bread. Try you will like. A little more expensive than the other sub places but you get better ingredients/bread and more meat.

What is the hype about this place? Yes I agree.. the french bread they use for their sandwiches is good.. but I can get amazing bread at French Pantry! These are supposed to be gourmet sandwiches.. but I didn't get the "gourmet" part. Truthfully, I'd rather go to Angies, Larry's, or Firehouse. Maybe I tried the wrong sandwich? I had the VITO.. which is the #5, and it was definitely nothing to write home about. There was hardly any dressing, seasoning, or other condiments on the sandwich. The meat that was used was fresh and so were the veggies, but the sandwich as a whole lacked flavor. I'm willing to give it another try, and if the next sandwich I get is stellar, I'll be more than happy to rewrite my review. It's a small joint, a little on the loud side. The music is blaring, so it's definitely not a spot to go to if you are looking for some peace and quiet. The location is great and the other great thing is that they deliver. Not sure how far their radius is, but still.. the fact that they do is a plus. If there is a sandwich that I SHOULD get or HAVE to get, please let me know!

I have always had great costumer service at every Jimmy John's except this one! The girl at the counter was rude the second she saw us walk up. I opened the door and immediated got a look like I was disruppting her "hang out" time. There was not another person in there except for employees. I walked up to the counter, where I am usually greeted with a "Welcome to Jimmy John's" and she was silent, I ordered my sandwhich and she didn't offer us a drink or anything, told us the total and I spoke up and said.. I'd like a drink, she looked annoyed by that.. I brushed it off. We sat down and our sandwhiches were just thrown together, it was NOT how Jimmy John's usually puts out food. I know they are known for their quick service, but this was just pathetic. Remember, I have been to Jimmy John's many many times and I ALWAYS order the same thing. I have never once experienced what went down at this location. I will go to any other Jimmy John's but not this one again. I do not usually see other people in this one either, and now I know why. Also, I did not see an MOD, just a bunch of teenagers running the show. (hmmmm...) Jimmy John's is good, but not good enough to where I will be treated poorly by the employees. PS: AGAIN, JUST THIS LOCATION, NOT ALL LOCATIONS. I would never recommend this location to anyone, if you do go, please write a review, i'd love to see if they use constructive critism and can apply it to make their business better.

Jimmy John's totally places its priority on speed over customer satisfaction/consideration. This is great if you're in a hurry, but not if you are craving something in particular and expect to end up with it. I've been to this location 10+ times (always for lunch) and 9+ times they have messed up my sub. That's 90% of the time. Why? Because they rush. Everything's done in a hurry. And then I am forced to be that annoying customer who takes her sub back up and says "uh, you forgot the ______" or "I asked for _____, and it's not on my sub." If they aren't going to read what the cashier rings up, then what's the point? I'd honestly prefer to concoct my own sub. The worst part is that they usually look at me like **I'm** crazy, yet I clearly specify everything exactly how I want it when I place my order and pay. The bread is okay. The meat is okay. I enjoy the "freebies" - that is when they remember to put the ones I ask for, nicely, on my sub - cucumbers, sprouts, hot peppers, etc. I also like that you can get avocado spread, for an upcharge, of course.

I LOVE Jimmy Johns. Not only is it freaky fast but the sub rolls are always fresh and very good. I pretty much always get the Turkey Tom with cucumbers. The sub is loaded with mayo so if you don't like mayo, make sure you let them know. You can also order the subs "slim" which just means it's wrapped in lettuce, which I sometimes do if I'm trying to be good but I just love their bread soo much! In my opinion, the classic subs on the actual sub roll is the best. The sandwiches on regular bread are just meh. Don't ask for pickles on your sandwhich either because they don't do that. You can only buy big pickles which they will gladly half or quarter for you. Jimmy John's is great for a quick lunch and they will even deliver just one sandwhich so that's nice! It's has a cult following for sure so don't be surprised when you find people that either love it or hate it. I am definitely one of those that love it!

Fantastic Jimmy Johns food - if you have time to spare. Not freaky fast. They are located across the street from me. Today, it took them 49 minutes from the time I got my confirmation email for my online order. Last time we ordered it took at least 40 minutes and one person's order was missing. They always have a good excuse - there was traffic or so many orders all at once or we are so busy or something. If you are so busy, hire more people, open a second location on this side of the street - whatever it takes. You will not succeed with excuses. Try changing your motto to The Sluggishly Slow on Southside Jimmy Johns.

I'd heard good things about this gourmet sub shop so we stopped in after a movie for a try. I ordered the vito, the bread was good and it was extremely fast as touted. They need to focus on good instead of fast. there was very little meat on the sub..my first 3 bites were only bread and lettuce. My husband felt bad for me and shared a piece of meat off of his sub. Not only was it mostly bread but it was very bland. An Italian sub from Publix is better. Fire House remains my top pick for subs!!

Jimmy John's is freaking fast! While this location is actually walking distance or a short two minute drive from my office, there's just sometimes that I can't leave the office & Jimmy John's delivers. And delivers fast. I love that you can customize your sandwiches any way you want it online and figure out the nutrition info right there. For this girl, that's perfect. It's not the best sandwich I've ever had, but I like it better than Subway. This location is always packed at lunch time, which can make it hard to find a place to sit, but they get you in and out when you're in a hurry.

My husband and I checked this place out last year when I was preggo. Let's just say I don't remember a thing about my sub except that I was psst when we were done eating. I remember saying I can make a sub waaaay better than that and I can't believe we paid that much! So a couple of weeks ago working on a Sunday at Shands Hospital Trauma ICU. Coworkers wanted to order some delivery service. Someone suggested this place and I kept my opinion to myself. Well they say that they deliver anywhere. Whatever when my coworker said Shands they said "Oh we don't go there" Well if you get in an accident and you needed a helicopter to rescue what if we said Oh we don't go there. I'm glad they didn't deliver so my coworkers wouldn't have had to spend their hard earned money on some sorry subs

They serve a cold sandwich--which is why it comes out so fast. Some like that, but I prefer oven baked. Speed is at the top of the list of good things about Jimmy Johns which is ironic because parking at this location (Tapestry Park) is awful so you can't get in and get out quickly. Also, the tea (sweet and unsweet) is awful.
