The plan was to just go pick up a newspaper from Publix but how can you pass up Thai/Chinese food? I kept hearing from everyone how wonderful it was so I convinced my mother to give it a go with me. We walked inside, no frills here. The place was spotless. I ordered the King of the Sea, Thai Style which is Shrimp. Scallops, split Lobster Tail in Mild Thai Chili Sauce with Sweet Bell Pepper, Mushrooms, Pea Pods and krabmeat with a "k" over rice. That was a fantastic dish and it was enough for two meals. My mother got the General Tso's chicken which she said wasn't any good. I asked her why and she said it wasn't spicy or seasoned enough for her. She added soy sauce to it and that made it better. I don't think that she'll come back but I know I definitely will.

I ordered take out and the food got there fast. Which was a huge plus but I doubted the food quality then. I ordered: crab Rangoon....really thin n no crab only cream cheese I got Spicy shrimp lo mein...great flavor but it wasn't really warmed up General tsos chicken.....it was okay but the sauce was lighter in color, not warm in temp, tasted more like honey flavored then all the General tsos sauce I've ever had Needless to say DONT order from here

First off I want to say that I am very ashamed that it has taken me this long to review Jimmy Fu's. We literally go there every Friday. Like every Friday (I'm cool with you all knowing I have no life, just putting that out there.) Jimmy Fus is one of the cleanest Chinese restaurants I have been to and the food never makes me sick like Chinese food sometimes does. I usually get the Chicken Pad Thai, but I also like the Mei Fun ans Cashew Chicken. My husband gets the Sweet and Sour Chicken and the Sweet and Sour Shrimp. The portions are huge and the price is right. WE LOVE THIS PLACE!

One of the better Chinese take outs in Arlington! I wish they had sushi but their Pad Thai and Yellow Chicken Curry is amazing!!! Love it!

Great for take out although they do have seating if you choose to eat in . A combination of Thai and Chinese. Some of my favorite dishes red curry duck mango prawn and chicken pad thai . They offer delivery for minimum $15 order and a dollar delivery fee. Be aware that this is not fast food Asian. It takes them longer than usual but it is well worth the wait. Located on Merrill Road in the Publix shopping center at the very end.

Really quite decent! It seems very clean, affordable and tasty. The eggrolls are made there it seems, and they are good sized. I will definately be back.

The food was mediocre but the service was awful. Frost of all I am Asian and I don't mind people asking me what kind and where I'm from but this lady had to make a reference to my parents owning a nail salon. I mean really?? Way to stereotype. And no they do not. Plus our food wasn't very good the rice was kinda dry and had no moistness to it. So I would say it's okay but maybe get delivery so no one insults me or any other Asian person

Not good. Ordered crab Rangoons, chicken pad Thai, and veggie fried rice. Fried rice was gross and had no flavor. pad Thai was mediocre. rangoons were just cream cheese. We immediately regretted ordering from here. We've had it before and it wasn't as bad but we won't be eating here again

Great for takeout Chinese. A lot better quality than most takeout/delivery Chinese places here in Jax.

A good Chinese take-out place has become as iconic as the little white boxes often used in the same places. Unlike other restaurants, which are measured by the quality of their food and service, a good Chinese place seems to escape that red flag in the wind of a crowd passing by. It does so like a pet project or a devious pleasure on the side, but if the bottom line is that the food there tastes good, then all is well. Jimmy Fu's is such a place for me and in my 3rd visit there in a few months, I came away pleased with the non-greasy results. While it has a dubious honor of being on the tail end of Publix's shadow on Merrill Rd, I can see and taste the prowess in this kitchen. I like the steamed dishes they serve here and feel the prices are low for what I get to take home. It's easy for one say this isn't rocket science as the modest menu looks like any other Asian take out almost verbatim, but this could easily become my pet project place to frequent when I need something in a little white box.

This place is delicious... The Pad Thai is really a favorite in my house. They're fast and have never messed up our order which is so great when your starving and need a fast dinner. I've been eating here since they opened, I probably pass 3 Chinese places just to get to this one.... It's worth the drive! The place is spotless, clean and the owners and employees are very friendly!

Love this place! Great Pad Thai, and the rest of the menu has more choices than expected. The dinner combos have a lot of food. Their prices are great, and their delivery is fast. The food is fresh cooked by people that know what they are doing. This is our favorite Asian place for a fast bit, or delivery.

Worst service. I called to place a delivery and after everything was said and done the lady tells me it was close to $20 dollars when it should have been $15. I told her that and she says no even after I told her I already did the math. Not ordering from here again.

Met my son here for lunch the other day. He ordered their Sweet & Sour Chicken while I ordered their Pepper Steak and Hot & Sour Soup. While this is primarily a take-out place, they have six tables to dine at. While the food was not the best I've ever had, it's pretty decent. Also, the two entrees we had were their lunch specials which includes rice and a drink - not too shabby for $5.50. Since I only work only minutes away, I am sure I will be back for lunch again!

Passed this place over and over, never stopped. Curious, I looked up the reviews all were good. So we gave it a try Wow, what a nice surprise. It looks like a large wok n roll but clean. Dont let the non restaurant feel scare you away. We ordered the tom yum soup but didnt care for it. The rest of the meal made up for the soup. Thai dishes available, we ordered shrimp pad thai and red curry shrimp... Fabulous, great portion sizes and sooooo good. Shrimp were large and plump, curry sauce outstanding and pad thai so far best we've had in jax. Both entrees filled with fresh vegetables. Family owned and friendly, cant wait to go back.

Jimmy Fu's offers some great Asian cuisine. I used to overlook this place all the time. Then way day I found out that they don't sell that terrible yellow fried rice bs, like most other Asian restaurants in this area. The prices here are comparable to most other restaurants in the same category, but Jimmy Fu's offers fresh vegetables instead of the freeze-dried crap other places offer.

I love their Pad Thai. This is my new favorite Asian place. Nice portion sizes. Tad more expensive than similar places.

Only been in Jacksonville for a short time, but seem to find my way to Jimmy Fu's often. The family and I ate there for dinner last night and I went back for lunch today! Fresh, courteous staff and priced right!

Service is horrible. Placed to go order and waited over 45 minutes and food definitely not worth the wait

Jimmy Fu's is simply the best Chinese take out in ALL of Jacksonville. Everything is fresh and done right. The place is always clean, the staff is always friendly, and the food is consistently fresh and flavorful. Their won ton soup is delicious and the shrimp with lobster sauce is excellent. This is a huge step up from your typical chinese take out. I drive 10 miles while passing other chinese take out places to get to Jimmy Fu's. That's how good it is!

Food has always been great. One of the best chinese take out in Jax. They have been using smaller container for the take out, but still the same price.

Great local Chinese takee outeee :) All the traditonal chinese offerings with some Thai dishes thrown in for good measure! Tucked behind the HESS gas station in the Publix shopping center on Merrill road this place is easy to miss - but don't. It's new & clean, the food is consistently good & the prices reasonable. FYI: try their curry sauce - made with coconut milk - to die for. I sometimes order a portion of fries & a side of curry sauce with my chinese ( it's a British thing). Heaven.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
