The service and food were great! Good sized portions service with a smile! The food was fresh and nicely presented! I just wish the place was a bit cleaner. The chairs need a good wiping down, bathroom could use some upkeep, not have the paper towels on the top of the toilet tank (very gross to even think about cross contamination), the laminated menus falling apart, and an a/c vent that has been accumulating moisture for years thus has mildew stains. The tabletops were clean as well as the servers; but do hope they would correct the other simple to fix cleanliness issues then could recommend giving the place a four star rating.

Just like Grandma made, except better biscuits (sorry Grandma). Best eating within 20 miles of Baldwin. Exemplary use of chicken, no matter which incarnation you opt for.

We went out of our way to try this dive and would not return! Staff is friendly, but there're are years of grime all over. Food was just mediocre, hamburger, which the waitress said was the best, was dry and not even average. I say don't stop unless nothing else is open!

We've eaten there twice now and have always enjoyed the food. It is just a fun stop on trip from Georgia to places on the west coast of Florida especially when bypassing Jax to the west--I95 south bound to A1A to 301.

We were on our way up and over on 301 and got hungry. When we saw this place we thought this may be our last opportunity for lunch before we get to Amelia Island---so we stopped. We're glad we did. We had a very simple lunch ,but both sandwiches were excellent. I had a fried egg and bacon sandwich on toasted wheat bread and it really hit the spot---just like homemade. My wife got a grilled ham and cheese on wheat and loved it. The ham was exceptional--as good as Honey Baked. The exterior appearance is not perfect and the interior is retro- homey---if you are in the area stop there----you will enjoy.

Grew up on eating here now my kids can't get enough! Staple of the area. JB Cheeseburger, fries n gravy, and a sweet tea..then plan on a nap!

My wife and I entered this place 7 years ago and were poorly treated....food was horrible and the service matched.....today we thought that we would try it once more....Good to see that the service improved.....but the food did not! I ordered sausage gravy with a biscuit, corned beef hash and 2 eggs over medium....my wife had 2 eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast My sausage gravy was the pre-mix with 1 little tiny piece of sausage included with the slightly warm gravy.....corned beef hash was not quite done and was also luke warm and the eggs were OK....My wife's bacon was cold and hard, her hash browns were improperly cooked, eggs were so-so and the toast had been sitting too long before coming to the table....waitress was great, only wish the food was as good as the waitress. Wife said the bathroom was atrocious! We may try a lunch here at some point, but I do not recommend this place if you are looking for home cooked food, especially breakfast....or if this what one cooks at home, you may like it....but this had a slight resemblance to food, but not the home cooked that I know....
