This, by far, is the worst Denny's I've ever been to. And I've been to a Denny's where the manager was also the cook and my server. This is also the first Denny's I've been to that didn't have a counter to sit at. When they're busy, I feel bad taking a booth or a 4-top for just myself. Everything seems to take a bit too long. The wait to get seated, served, get the check, and finding someone allowed to ring you up. Normally I can get in and out of a Denny's in under 40 minutes, but this one is more like an hour and a half. I thought the longer wait meant the food would be a little less over cooked but the burger I had last time was crumbling apart and the fries were so overdone they had crisped into hollow shells. Add all of that to a horrible location that is nearly impossible to get in or out of.

Well it's Denny's OK food at a OK price but service is poor. Usually no host or cashier it's just a whoever has time. Panera is right next door and probally a better choice.

If I could give this place no stars I would. WORST experience ever. Our food took forever to come out, everything was cold, they dropped a plate while coming out(I understand accidents happened but it added to the frustration), my biscuit was ROCK hard(unable to break in half because it was so hard!), most of the food was either undercooked or over. We asked for the manager and asked who the manager was and low and behold, the manager was the COOK and she never came out after about 30 minutes of waiting(we did ask for her twice.) They were out of steaks, out of English muffins(our server said he ate the last one this morning?) Lol. Terrible terrible terrible. We tipped out waiter and left. As we were walking out, two other people were up front looking for the manager as well...

Used to I would come to this location all the time with family and friends. Honestly I haven't been here in a couple of years since a friend came to visit from out of state. The deco inside has not changed or the food. What has changed is the restaurant is not as clean and the service a bit slower than usual. My family consists of my two older children my toddler my husband and I. Just for us to have breakfast and drinks cost $55. Denny's has gotten quite proud of themselves $55 for breakfast was never heard of back in the day. The waitress did not check on us fairly often. The coffee was terrible and bitter the only thing consistent and I will give Denny's credit for is the menu items still taste the same as they did years ago so that's good news that they are consistent with their menu items and how they are prepared and train their staff. But it was just very overcrowded loud nowhere for us to stay in while we were waiting we were standing next to a claw machine by the kitchen because we could not go outside since it was cold and raining. I will be more than happy to try another Denny's location but I don't know when the next time it is or if I visit this location when I do.

This place is very slow. I felt bad for our server because he was working alone. The food was okay, but I would not rush back to this location.

Denny's sent me an email inviting me to partake in a free "Grand Slam" breakfast on my birthday. Free? I'm there. I was a tad skeptical, I admit, because the word "free" usually comes with a catch to it. However, Mark (Mark was my waiter) didn't bat an eye or treat me at all like I was a freeloading cheapskate. He was rather kind and accommodating, so kudos to Mark! I ordered my free breakfast in a build-your-own fashion, which consisted of 2 pancakes, eggs (I like over easy), and 3 strips of bacon. To top it off I also added a side order of 2 biscuits and gravy. The pancakes were soft and yummilicious, especially with the eggs and crispy bacon in between them and dripping with warm maple syrup and butter. Pancake sandwich, that's how i roll. The biscuits? Ehhhhhhhhh soft on the top, crunchy on the bottom. Fluffy pillow biscuits made in heaven these were not. The sausage gravy was good, though, with nice chunks of sausage throughout. All in all, for the most part, this meal was free of charge, and I'm very appreciative of that. Atmosphere: I think the a/c was set to "arctic" because even with my sweater on, I was still freezing, that's why the 3 stars instead of 4. The joint could use a little TLC, as I noticed the vinyl (especially in one booth in particular) on some of the seats was ripped. Tip: If it's your birthday, go to Denny's and claim your free Grand Slam breakfast! No need to bring in a coupon, just show your I.D.

Ended up deciding on a late lunch here in stead of Olive Garden. it was in the middle of the week around 2pm so me and the gf were practically the only ones there. I had the New Southwest Turkey sandwich with a cup of loaded backed potato soup of the $6 value menu. I though the sandwich was delish, very tasty for a few bucks short of what you would get at a Panera Bread. As for the gf she had, the banana french toast with carmel and eggs. She seemed to like heres but the eggs were alittle on the dry side. Overal the service was prompt and the sandwich was great.. Will deffinately come back for another sandwich.

Who doesn't enjoy a Grand Slam?! Well, you know what kinda food Denny's has. Breakfast foods, burgers, fried goodness... All your fave diner options at fairly low cost. Wifey and I came in for some breakfast recently. I got the "build your own grand slam" so I got some pancakes, hash browns, scrambled eggs, sausage, and bacon. All was pretty good... You can't really mess this stuff up!.. especially if you're really hungry in the morning. Heads up though... you don't get free refills on OJ! Saw the check and was like dayyyum... $6 for two glasses of OJ?! The service I notice here is usually hit or miss. You usually have to wait a bit to get seated even though there are many seats available. The food overall is just okay. Really good after a night out drinking/partying and nothing else is open. Warning though, it is packkked after club hours and drunken people are in full effect. If you want really good breakfast in the area i suggest Grumpy's just down the road off of Kingsley or make the trek to one of the Metro Diner locations (rumor has it they're looking at locations in Orange Park off of 17! Woop!)

So yeah. Went about 10:30 Sunday night. Were seated and told "be right with you". Twice. By the same server. Who had what appeared to be one more table. Yes one. ANYWAY, long story short, the food was mediocre, the price was gouging (we were overcharged by a couple of sides and a drink), the server forgot part of our order, so one of us ate later...just not a good experience at all. Now, on the flip side, my wife has gone there with her classmates to study for tests, finals, etc, and they have never had any problems (but then they order basic toast and coffee). Maybe we just went on a slow night when only 3 people were working? Oh, and the manager I think was there. Or some guy in a button down shirt was taking money from the register, lol. Anyway, maybe you'll have better luck than we. Even after dropping almost a Ben In there that night we still left unfulfilled. Meh.

Arrived for a late lunch around 2ish, Place was pretty empty, cept the front , 1 waiter, 1 manager, ( hardly seen) .So I could understand why it was set up with on waiter. Another hostess sat us down and got us water , I requested Lemon slices on the side. Well the lemon was a bit slimy ... with out making a fuss about it, I just asked her if I could get new lemons , she was complied really sweet. She took our order since our waiter was busy running around taking care of other customers. Our food came out in a very properly timing. But Lets just say I was totally not impressed with the presentation. Maybe something a 10yr old may eat? but for an adult... Poor waiter asked if I would like them to do it again ...and I just said no thanks, esp with him already running around. I was extremely disappointed with the plate that was brought out to me. Even the waiter himself was shocked at the presentation of it. I ordered the alaskan salmon , broccoli and rice. Lets just say all of it would of fit on a salad plate. That's how small the portion was. The salmon was cooked really well. Broccoli what lack of ...was just a tad over cooked (steamed) rice well .. it was interesting. If I eat hamburgers then I would of gone with that , their hamburger was larger than the portion I had. LOL Other then that I have to take my hats off to the waiter he was doing his best on his OWN. while the manager was there I've only seen him couple times. Even an employee that was off helped the young waitor out. Now that is what you call a unit. Even when we left the manager was no where to be seen, Our Waitor had to also cash his own customers out. I've seen at least 3 customers walking out. I gave 1 star for the food presentation / portion and 2 starts to the service from the single employee.

It's late and we are hungry nothing is open we want breakfast, Denny's it is. Husband ALWAYS gets the grand slam. I get French toast or moons over my hammy I Prefer the season fries. The service is hit or miss the cashiers are always rude. It's loud in here. No refills on the specialty drinks the ones with sprite and a splash of your preferred flavor. To avoid this my husband will order to go but they always forget something.

My friend didn't want fries and asked if he could have a egg the lady said NO. This is a breakfast place I can't have a egg as a side even if I pay extra? That's crazy. Philly came out with onions when I requested no onions. Second sandwich came out with only a few strips of meat. Sent it back now waiting on the third at I'm afraid to eat it.. Going next door to Chipotle.

Haven't even eaten the food yet but I'm here visiting from NY and so far I've waited 45 min for food (and I have to get on a flight in less than 2 hours), the hot chocolate has not been mixed and it is filled with clumpy chunks of chocolate, the service is sooooo slow and the waitress isn't so nice even after we've asked how long the food will be. Not liking this place already. Edit: waitress said a chef passed out. Still ended up waiting almost an hour for the food that was just alright. I got the skillet which was too salty, burnt and over cooked. My friend ordered the ham and egg sandwich and he said the ham tasted weird. Nothing else we ordered was good except the friend steak and egg.

I came here with a friend. The gentleman at the front desk was checking out people and servers were walking back and forth from that desk and their tables rapidly. We walked in and stood there waiting for a good ten minutes before one of those individuals finally greeted us. We were sat down at our table about fifteen minutes later. Our waitress was beyond nice, but the seating area that we were seated in could of been a bit more clean. Over hearing the table behind us that they've waiting more than thirty minutes and still have not received their food. Getting a bit anxious now, we hit the thirty minute mark and our waitress came out with food that wasn't our order. In total we waited for our food for about 46 minutes. I had a simple plate with eggs, hash, ham and some toast. My friend had the same but with a side of pancakes too. The food was satisfying but it could of been hotter. Given the fact they were a little busy and our server was super nice, I give them a two. Maybe my next visit will be much better.

I'm not one to leave a 1 Star review, but omg...I was almost speechless. I can't believe how HORRIBLE the customer service was!!!!!!! My friend and I met up with my boyfriend and his friend, and we were seated right away. Someone came and asked for what drinks we wanted...10min later someone else came and asked what drinks we ordered, then someone also took our food orders...and 10min AFTER THAT someone ELSE asked what drinks we had ordered. Are you kidding? 3 DIFFERENT waitresses asked what pur drinks were?????????? So we get our drinks and our sweet tea tastes like there's some leftover soap or chemical in it, so I ask for water. When I get the water it tastes like straight up tap water, *GAG*. Oh, and someone had orders cheese sticks and salad, but we only ever received the cheese sticks. NEVER GOT THE SALAD. Our food order probably didn't get put in or got forgotten about because we waited ANOTHER 15-20min for our food. My friend said that he saw a waitress come out, have an "oh crap" kind of look when she saw us with no food, and then proceeded back to the kitchen. The food was good, but by that time we just wanted to get out of there. The waitress forgot my friends tortillas and when she brought it out he didn't even want it anymore and she said something about her needing to get it from the freezer. She was a bigger woman and it wasn't ALL her fault. She tried to be very nice to us and I appreciated her being cheerful despite how upset we all were, but dang...that was all ridiculous. I felt like we were on some game show. The cleanliness of this place is completely questionable for health standards. The ground didn't look cleaned and everything just looked dingy. The entire building could use a renovation. I didn't even want to step into the bathroom for fear of what was behind the door -____- Because the customer service wasn't good, at all, I started to notice little things like: ketchup bottle wasn't full, there was syrup all over the salt shaker, it took too long for us to be asked if we needed boxes, our check took too long to be received, etc. Never going back, EVER.

Dennys disappoints again. Walking in, there was a moldy smell. We were led to a booth where there was a gigantic slash in the seat. Everything was just filthy and you could see the mold on the ceiling. No wonder there was a smell. The host was nice but not very attentive . Never asked if we wanted drink refills or napkins. Checked on us once. During our meal all we could hear is people complaining about forgotten food and asking for the manager. My husband's order was wrong and his soda was warm. We also had to get up and find someone so we could pay. The only good thing I can say is that my food wasn't too bad other than the over done fries. The table behind us went uncleared the whole time we were there (about 40mins) and as we left. Won't be going to anymore dennys.
