This is a great Captain D's. Really friendly and efficient customer service... they seriously deserve a round of applause! Our order is always hot and correct whether we go through the drive-thru or pop inside to get our food to-go. They have some really great meals now that are $4.99. I usually get either the $4.99 shrimp dinner or the $4.99 shrimp and fish dinner. Good food for a good price. Even though their fries probably come frozen in a bag, I really like them. They are the nice, thick fries. I hate super skinny fries like they have at McDonald's. The corn-on-the-cob is really good too. It's already buttered and it's nice and sweet. I must admit I LOVE their hushpuppies. Having been born and raised in Mississippi, I just have a thing for hushpuppies. I actually go by here sometimes just to get hushpuppies. Crazy, I know... but it's the truth. :D Three Words: FUNNEL CAKE FRIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We stopped in because after a day of catching some sun we didn't want to cook dinner. This time the fish was good and the hush puppies were no hard as a rock..Used a coupon and got a nice deal. But all in all a good dining experience.

Now sometimes you just get that feeling for that blast from the past meal. Captain D's is that meal for me. I don't know what it is but every now and then I have to have me some. It's fast food don't right. There's not many fast foods that I will stomach but D's do the do. I really like their fish recipe it has everything that I crave. Crispy and thin crust that just steams the fish right. The fish still holds up to a good dunking of some tarter sauce. So I'm glad that we have a d's around the corner. Tomorrow I will return to my old snooty self but tonight I'm Doing The D's.

Was at this establishment today and the owner should fire all of the current employees. My order was placed and I had to wait almost 30 min. for it. After waiting almost 30 min. went to the counter and asked about it and it was siting there cold! I personally observed to 2 female employees complaining about not getting free food. I also over heard 2 female employees talking about how great a transient (bum) guy looked who was begging for food. I will never come to this Captain D's again! Please do yourself a favor hire people who want to work and not complain. Also make sure the new people you hire have some get up and go. The Dunn Av. fast-food restaurants all long Dunn Av. suffer from lack of good honest people who want to work. Far too many lazy young people working all a long this corridor. Tourist don't stop at this location unless you have a need to be insulted.

Alrighty Capt D's! I see and applaud the efforts. Expanded full meal deals, premium choices, upgraded serving trays, condiment station & actual non plastic silverware. I had the crab topped tilapia with green beans & fried okra. All was a hit except the rice. It was hard... Plus my tray had a crack & they forgot my breadstick hence a 3 vice a 4 rating. I come here often & the staff is courteous, efficient & friendly. The place is well kept & clean. Not used to paying $8.55 for a meal here but it receives a passing rating. Good neighborhood spot for a hot value meal. Good changes makes the experience even better.
