We had a coupon from the zoo so we decided to give it a try...Friendly service our waitress was very much on top of things. I'm pregnant and our waitress saw me before I sat down asked me what she could get me to drink then made sure I had a to go drink as we left. We ordered the daily special and ended up taking half home, great portion sizes! It was lunch hour and really noisy but totally understandable. We had our two year old who enjoyed his mac n cheese. The one thing I didn't care for was that they only seemed to have fountain drinks for the kids, I'm not into sodas or fruit punch for my little one so I wish they would have had some juice such as Apple, pineapple or orange juice..

The Mac and cheese taste like from the box and black eye peas was soggy! The brisket was dry it's a alright place the hostess was very pleasant!

Typical bar-b-q place with the usual selections, but this location was less than impressive to me. The pulled pork was dried out to the point that no amount of sauce could revitalize it enough to enjoy on a sandwich. The turkey sandwich was also just okay served on dry Texas toast. The beans, while flavorful were cooked to a complete mush. The best part of our meal was the french fries which tasted freshly cut and served hot. The sweet tea was overly sweetened to a syrup. Likely not to return for lunch here.

My Cousin and his Lady came into town and wanted to go get some ribs. The ribs here are better than another establishment I will not name here, but that establishment's sauces are better ... Oh well the food was still good .. I kept it safe and ordered fries. The beer selection was not good at all ... but I made due. All in all the place is cool.

This hole in the wall style restaurant has friendly staff, and a familiar atmosphere. My family and I are on vacation to Jax for the first time and we wanted to get some food before heading to the beaches. We were seated right away in the middle of rush hour, and served appropriately and quickly. Really all I can say negatively about this place is hat the parking lot is confusing-then again I've never been one to boast about my driving.

I tried this place for the very first time and the food was pretty darn good. I love my bbq pulled pork sandwiches and I must say this one was pretty good. I tried the side dishes as well and the mac n cheese was great. I appreciate that the staff was very friendly and the service was very quick. My friend tried the turkey salad, and she was also quite impressed with it. She said it tasted very well, the ingredients were fresh, and there was plenty of it.

Bono's in an underwhelming local BBQ chain. They pepper Jacksonville like acne on this town's adolescent face. This particular location is generally crowded because of it's proximity to Town Center. There are a few things I liked. They decorated this place nicely for basically a fast food joint. They have a real pit, and they are probably your cheapest option in the area outside of Costco pizza. However, they are dishing out some pretty sub-par BBQ. The sauces are crappy, and it's really not cheap for BBQ. I tried the baby back ribs, and they are tiny. I was hungry after a half rack and I'm usually not. They also seem to cook them in BBQ sauce, because the sauce is caramelized onto the meat creating a sticky mess. The fries were just ok. The fried okra was the best side I tried, and the brisket was definitely better than the ribs. Service was slow, but the waitress was really sweet. Parking is a mess. If the lot is full there's a little overflow gravel lot below the restaurant. Overall, you could certainly do worse for BBQ but I'm not in a rush to come back.

Came here twice within the 2 weeks i've been in Jacksonville. What a change from the North! Yummy, tasty barbecue. I got the brisket sandwich for lunch one time and the other time I did the special $11.99 two meat special. yummmmm. The best thing I've had there so far? The fried okra! Small, yummy little okra poppers were a big hit with my family and I! Close to the St. Johns Town Centre, and definitely hits the spot. Service is a little slow.. but it could just be that I'm not used to it....

Not good at all. Food is served fast with no taste. Had a baked potato which was probably microwaved. Baby back ribs were tough and dry. Not taste what so ever even with a pound of nasty BBQ sauce on it. Will not return ever again.

The place was empty for the most part. Probably because the food was less than good. I'm not going back. Too many better options in the area.

I LOVE BBQ!! Yum and yum. Pulled pork sandwiches are where its at for real. The first few times I ever went to this place I did not like the fact that the sauce was not in with the meat but I decided I actually quite enjoy it! So with that being said, I ordered a pulled pork sandwich, french fries and something called Brunswick Stew. For the first time EVER I treid something new and unknown without my bf testing it to make sure it was okay. I was proud! For those who dont know what Brunswick Stew is, its a conglomeration of a bunch of bbq items: okra, corn, black-eyed peas, chicken and other things. Actually quite yummy. Fries, dipped in bbq sauce, AWESOME. Fat chicks love fries, for sure. Sammy was super good too. Bread was toasty and soft. Meat was juicy and good as well. Lots of sauce, perfect. And Julia, our waitress...incredible. Ask for her, you will not be disappointed. (:

I had the turkey, sliced pork, and sliced beef to go for a family dinner. The food was perfect and smelled so good it was almost torture smelling it on the ride home and knowing we had to wait until the next day to eat it. After a night in the fridge and a reheating it tasted just as good as it smelled.

Eaten at Bono's many times and have never been disappointed. We normally sit at counter and banter with the staff. They are friendly, courteous and efficient. BBQ pork, beef and chicken are excellent and St Louis ribs are outstanding ! Sides are served hot and fresh and are good. Good food for an affordable price.
