I'm pretty surprised there's not hundreds of reviews for this place on Yelp considering the crowds that I see here waiting in line on a weekly basis. We came on a Sunday afternoon and the parking lot was full. Rest assured, it is a true indication that this little westside restaurant has some great offerings & perhaps the locals are trying to keep it a secret. And since I'm feeling cold and lazy tonight, I'm going to just cut & paste my sister's review for you here: "Everything was delicious, although it was kind of hard to get over the sweetness of the chicken, due to the cornbread breading and the collards were sweet, as well, not smoky enough for my taste. The mac & cheese, while thinner in consistency, was the best thing on the plate. The wedges of fried-green tomatoes would've been better, sliced thin. All in all, a great value for AYCE (ALL YOU CAN EAT) $8.95." Please keep in mind that she is a tough little cookie when it comes to food as she is an amazing cook herself. As for me, I loved all of the choices and everything I had was yummy. Great service & didn't mind the wait. You decide for yourself.

Ardens is Fantastic, great family atmosphere. I've been for Thanksgiving dinner and it was as close to home cooked as you can get. The Saturday only breakfast buffet is full of everything you can think of bacon, sausage (link, kielbasa, patty) eggs, pancakes, biscuits, gravy...... Definitely recommend this if you've got an appetite

Finally got back here since before they closed for what I guess was, remodeling. The lunch buffet was good. Creamed peas, fried chicken, mac n' cheese, dressing, biscuits, collards-good home cooking. All for $8.95. Can't wait to try the Saturday breakfast buffet.

I'm not a huge buffet person, but this place is awesome - even for vegetarians. They have a million and one different kinds of everything - but it's all yummy. Just make sure you don't miss the Pecan Cobbler....oh emmm goood!!!!! This place is locally owned and has an amazing history...two women joined forces to better themselves and are working to help better the lives of other once-lost souls like themselves. It's pretty incredible, and a place definitely worth our support :)

I'm not a big buffet person but this place is awesome. Different buffet items every day and the food is great. Great service & very attentive. Selection is so broad that there's something for everyone, no matter what your tastes. Great value & will be repeat lunch customer. I appreciate that this is a local business giving back to the community through their work program. Well worth checking out.

I cannot rave more how great the Southern cooking is at this place. The buffet has everything and anything you want and it is all wonderful in taste. Price is perfect but if you are looking to cut calories then you need to look elsewhere. Paula Deen watch out!

I'm probably one of the few who have eaten here who is not over the moon about the food but I'm not...there I've said it! I was looking for somewhere close by that I would not have to wait an hour to eat on a Saturday morning and Arden's Kafe came to mind. I had heard great things about the place so I decided to give it a go. The food was plentiful and home cooked but outside of that nothing was outstanding to me. I tried a little bit of everything and didn't leave hungry but I wasn't truly satisfied either. The staff were friendly and we were seated right away, the atmosphere is "homey" and food is buffet style with table service for beverages.

How have I not reviewed this place yet? Bad yelper.. Simply put, good homecooked southern food.. and a LOT of it. Tables are crammed in with mismatched chairs in a good homey feeling. Everything is kept clean and dishes are picked up promptly. Specials every day so go back often! My little rescue animal loving heart just hurts seeing that the owners are dog breeders who occasionally raffle off a puppy *sob* home checks!! vet references! *sob*. Says a lot about the food that I'm willing to go back.

I went here to eat for the first time today. I was totally amazed at the variety of food that was available. The fried chicken was delicious as well as everything else on the menu. Definitely a place you need to go to. I know I will be back.

This is one of my absolute favorite places to eat at. Normally I'm not much for buffets because I hate how buffets never seem to have fresh home cooked type food. Arden's taste like fresh home cooked meals. Everything taste fresh and they have the best sweet tea.

Nondescript location. Hard to find. Limited parking. Space is bigger than it looks from the outside. Place was packed! No frills decor. Food was EXCELLENT! Best pork chops and desserts! If you like southern food, this is a must try!

Local owned, down home cooking buffet style. Each day of the week features a new flavor, Friday is seafood day. For around 11 bucks you really can't beat it. Different variety of cooked seafoods and other creations. Salads and soups. Enough desserts to make a fat man happy!

If you haven't been to Arden's, you haven't had good country cookin'! This place offers a full-menu but I have never even looked at it. We always get the buffet. M-Thurs the buffet varies it's meat selection from fried chicken (awesome!) to meatloaf, ham and more. I have one-time enjoyed something called "chicken with love" and about fainted from the delicious-ness of it. On Fridays they offer a seafood buffet which is really good, too, even though I am not a huge seafood fan. This place is awesome. You will put yourself into a food comoa as dimpsum B. mentioned, but it is so totally worth it. The waitstaff is very friendly and know how to serve this fast paced lunch crowd (Arden's is not open at night). So head over to Arden's when you are hungry - not just a little hungry but when you're ready to chow down - and get your fill. Oh did I forget to mention all this is $7.99 (not including drink or tip)? Well worth it! Seafood buffet is $8.99.
